not what the Georgia Tech Rambling wreck wanted last night as they lose to Colorado. We'll get more into that coming up at four o'clock more into the dogs as well. As we look ahead to college football tonight. Mike, I saw a guy walk out of here. He had all this use stuff on. Did you see that gentleman in here? So I walked out. I was walking in and he walked out. He's with his lady. Had a you had on shirt. And at first I thought he might have played for him. I'm like, right. And he said, you guys gonna win tonight? Are we gonna win? And it was almost like an insult. Like they're playing Stanford and I was like, are we gonna win? Yeah, we're gonna win. We're gonna win big. I said, okay, I hear you, man. What do you think about the quarterback? He's like, oh, man, I love him. I think Miami fans are excited. Look, I'm not gonna tell you the good news. Jared Mensa, right? Correct. They're not gonna win the, you know, I'm not gonna say they're gonna win the national championship. We're long ways away. But you said it. Like what they're doing as far as bringing the kind of players in and recruitment wise and and I. Oh, man, Miami is, we've been saying it for years. They're not back. They're back. No, they're back. I mean, they went, no, again, we've talked about where

Florida State, I think unfortunately, is trending is, they could be 25 years in the wilderness. Cause that's where Miami was. I mean, you go all the way back. You know, think about it, man. Al Gold, Al Gold, I think it's all these horrible coaches that they had down there in Miami. They think Orange's neck tie, you know. But yeah, that's, that's a team. And look, it took Crystal Ball, maybe another extra year or two to get it dialed in, but he's recruiting. He's, see, that's the thing. They're getting, the U is such a culture in South Florida. He's locking up, Dave Brown, I mean, there's always going to be guys going to other schools around the country. But he's always, he's putting up those, those fences around those three counties in South Florida. And then he's complimenting that with the big time transfer portal. They've always had the coin. We know that. And Darian Mences, a guy that, you know, okay, with the ninth pick in the 2027 NFL, I mean, it could be for us. We'll keep an eye on it, but they are there. They're built. They're good to go. And they'll be in that playoff. And they'll probably be, I think they're going to make it all the way to the quarters. I do too. I do too. Hey, man, we are alive today Buffalo's cafe Hamilton Mill. We got a bunch of our regulars out here as well.

Yeah, man, I want to say how do our dudes, Alex is here. Alex, I had to add, I don't know how Delta stays flying when Alex is not on the job. Also, thanks to Michael. Michael works and sells amongst other things. Hand cleaner, towel scrubs in a bucket. He wrote down with a Sharpie scrubs in a bucket. Hand cleaner, but towel. He heard our, he heard our conversation yesterday about my water being out. And again, thanks to the plum here, our own more on that coming up in Guy Talk. My water is restored. Thank God. I am whole again. Day day again, I'm mystified. The day is like, how does what fucks you in this world? We were trying to explain how you flush a toilet with a gallon of water. You can do it. It works, guys. The physics make it happen. But anyway, thanks to Mike, he heard us yesterday. He happened about it. And so always have a clean undercarriage. Yeah, man. Is there a box outside of these where we can get a hands on? This is very cool and handy, by the way. That made me laugh though, Mike. And by the way, you said it, yes, OK. It's not as if you came in here funky, OK? You were fine yesterday. And what I did, it was funny, because after day days made his comments, I was like, you know what? I picked up those clear cell, those oxy pads

at publics today. So after I jumped in the pool, and then I had a big home depot bucket of water. And then I poured that, I shampooed my hair, poured that over me in the shower, and then used the oxy pads. Less, there'd be a grease on my skin. Man, are you that guy? Are you anal-retentive day day? I just wanted to make sure you were OK. Straight away, man. Anyway, but we are. And thanks again to those guys at the Plum here. All right, Falcon season kicks off. It's right around the corner. Celebrate the dirty birds return to the field. And pick up a free Falcon's Car Flag. Now, Flank and I have had the privilege to do this five, six, seven years. I don't know how long now. Get ready for the home opener. And on Wednesday, we're talking about next Wednesday, five to seven, and Napa Auto Parts in Moro. We're going to be down there, guys. And look, the first time we did this, Mike, real like this. Anybody going to show up? There was a line of folks there to get their flags. People coming by hanging out. A guy parked his 18 wheeler right on the street. I mean, there's been all kind of stuff that's

happened down there. But the event's going to feature fan photos and autographs with Atlanta Falcon Legends appearances by Freddie the Falcon, cheer leaders, special giveaways, and more. It's free. And it's open to all fans. And we'll be broadcasting live out there. We literally do the show right outside, so you can't miss this. But it's a lot of fun. And it gets this excited, man, about the upcoming starter of the season. I can't wait to September 13th. But that's next Wednesday, two to six. You can visit Atlanta Falcons.com, backslash fans for more information. Can I ask you about something? Lay it on me, man. So we got nine days until the season. Nine. So what is this thing? Can I ask you about something? Good. What is this thing? With Michael Pinnix not being represented as we continue the countdown to the days, to the start of the season. Now, if you haven't been keeping up with this, and by the way, everybody's doing this, right? This is the latest social media craze. Universities are doing it. I know Texas is doing it.

You put one of your famous players numbers out there and you got 10 days, five days. So we're at nine. I would have thought Michael Pinnix would have been the guy being represented in the picture that's out there by the Falcons. He's not. Who's on the photo? Is it Charlie Warner? Dayday, explain this. What's going on here, Dayday? You are conduit to social media with Orange. Sorry about that. Yes, let me get back to that picture there. But yeah, believe it is Charlie Warner. So yeah. Dayday was looking at cleaning products on Amazon, Carl, as we spoke. Sorry. Yeah, I just don't understand. And again, this is an official thing from the Falcons, right? Social media. Right. And maybe this is intentional. Maybe somebody said a lot of times we're like, oh, that's a mistake. No, maybe it isn't. But Mike, the unintended consequences, you're saying something about Michael Pinnix that you didn't intend to say, that you really don't want to say, he should be number nine.

And it should make total sense. He's on there. It's nine days to go. He's number nine. That's traditionally how other schools and baseball teams do the countdown. It's what sports teams do on their social media. But it's not him. He's not. Maybe it's because he has, maybe it's because he has number 89 on his jersey. Yeah, there's a nine on there, Carl. There's a guy named Donny goes fixed it free of charge. Don't even worry about it. Let's write. And he put Pinnix on the picture. Unfortunately, it's not officially from the Falcons. But I mean, when you go this deep in the season, into the preseason, and now as we said, nine days away, you haven't named your starter nearly the only team in the NFL, and they are that has not named the Schroding Quarterback. You leave yourself open to the kind of, well, someone say idle speculation that we love to traffic it here on Duke's Bell. Yeah. I don't know, man. I'm just like, maybe it means nothing. Maybe it means something. If you've seen it, then you can judge for yourself. Hey, and again, I'm not making anything of it.

This is an observation. Right. It's just an observation. I've seen all the countdowns and the numbers, and they made sense. And we're counting down to the start of the season. And who's number nine on our team? Oh, that's Pinnix. We want to hell. He's not on this picture. All right, Mike. I'm confused by your tactics. Clemson has notified LSU that playing former professional athletes on Saturday may breach the game's contract between the schools. This dropped about 30, 40 minutes ago. This was an email obtained by Ross Dillinger. Clemson still intends to play the game. It is not seeking financial damages. But what you're doing is you're making a record of it. You're making a record of it. And so either you say something before this game, or you don't say anything. So we'll show up. We're going to play. But oh, by the way, you could be in breach of contract here, which means this game may not count. Right. And that's the thing. And it's funny, as Sankie is on the stand, the SEC lawsuit is dropping. Like, I'm so sick and tired of reading all these legal briefs.

So the stuff that we talked about yesterday. Don't you watch law and order? I mean, anybody that told them, don't you? Yeah, it's like, you know, we need on that, that. Who's that horrible? My wife gets, don't take shots at him. He's good. I go, no, he's terrible. The guy that plays Kareesi on, yes. He does this New York accent. He's probably from like Colorado or something. And he's like, yeah, I was a hard boiled detective. Then I got my law degree. Now I'm a prosecutor. And it's like, dude, it's the worst New York accent ever. So any time, am I wife, literally, in my house, law and order and bad lifetime movies are on a constant endless loop. So every time I come in, it's like, so you look at it five to 10, unless you're going to cut a deal. I want to just throw something to the television. Anyway, I'm like, I'm watching that because all those shows means that she wants to take you out. So you do it. Oh, yeah. It's like the guys who work at the hardware store on the corner in Tyrone. They're big listeners of the show. And that day that Becky came in, she's like, yeah, I need to shovel some zip ties and meratic acid. And I came in the next day of some grass seed. And I was like, hey, man, you OK over there?

Well, at least you get lifetime movies. My wife, we call it mindless television. She watches all those reality shows. Oh my god. Every can't do it. One of them. Nobody's got guys on an island dating 50 women. Right? He's like, I'm looking to fall in love. No, you're not. You're looking to have a lot of sex. Let's just own this, OK? That's why if you do like a top 40 morning, if you do a top 40 morning show, you're stealing money. We actually have to put work in this. It might not sound like it. But all you do is like the bird show. How about the survivor last night? And there's 20 minutes, right? How about the bachelor last night? And there's another 20 minutes. She loves that nonetheless TV, man. I know. But by the way, so speak of us. Housewives. Oh, really? And I'm like, we lived this. What are you doing? She watches that? Yeah, well, we got here. Cordill and his. Yeah, that's right. We're on Housewives of Atlanta. And I'm like, maybe we lived at TMZ was five minutes. Five minutes. Stop. I'll remember when Beermitt's wife would show up at Falcons. But last 10 minutes of camp. Yeah, but I'm just saying. Do you ever the issue we would roll in? The camera crew would tell. It's like, I mean, it was such a production. Oh, I'm sorry. Did I, by causing a distraction?

Here's the deal, though. If you ever come across your watching that stuff with your wife or your girlfriend or whatever. And I find myself watching it. I get frustrated. I'm like, you watch this. And then 15 minutes in. I'm like, keep it here. Because it's just drama. You do it like, gee, I have my hand under the cover. It's just drama. And then I'll send I pull like one part of the cover. I have one eye out. Just to see. Just to see. We started talking about the legal proceedings. And it's literally something to have a John Grisham novel. Like, you know, Tommy Lee Jones should be playing like the, you know, one of the lawyers there, you know. It's just so over the top. And again, it's the LSU. Everything is pro Louisiana state. The judge, everybody in there. So you know you're not going to get a fair shake. They had to usher Sankey out the side door. Because apparently there was an angry mob that was getting pitchforks and torches ready, Carl. Unbelievable. Louisiana, it really is. It's like a third world country. It's like, it's like a banana republic of its own inside the USA. All right, man, we'll come back. We got to make it feel stuff to get to. And we will also we're going to talk more about what's going on

with college football. And I'm talking about the games on the field. Believe it or not, we got really good games. Look ahead to this weekend. We're going to break all of that down. Also, day day, what's on his mind here on a Friday. We're live at Buffalo's Cafe Hamilton, mail the stucson bell. We're going to talk some college football on the way. Atlanta's authority though on baseball is 92 9 to game. And Grant McCauley guys on Sunday. All season long, join him from the diamond. It's a comprehensive look at the Braves Major League baseball. And it's brought to you by Mark Spain real estate. It's guaranteed offer on your home at markspain.com. And by window nation, guys, window nation.com for your free consultation today. That's from the diamond with Grant McCauley. Grant's going to join us in the five o'clock hour. Talk more about this big series that starts tonight with Chris sale on the hill. But before we get to that, man, we got to talk some NFL back at the studio. Big O, let's get to fourth and one.

So I didn't think he talked about it. But Mike Braeball is talking about moving past Diana Rossini and all of this stuff. Oh snap. So I want to just bring you in here. Did you tell me that she's up for a couple of gigs? Is that right? It's being reported that one report the way they said it was like, she's like basically like definitely 100% making a return. It just sports media as a reporter or whatever. So didn't elude to like if she had it, if there was any leads as far as like where she's in talks with or anything like that. It was basically saying yeah, like it's almost it's 100% go that she will return. Yeah. Look, and unfortunately, I say Mike said it. She got black ball when this whole thing happened. She gets tagged with a scarlet letter and he gets to do his thing. And Mr. Draftwick. It's true. But and I know I'm going to say this in the caveat is yeah, she was good at job because she's really good at a job. And prior to you knowing anything about this, you probably thought she was good at a job. And so I hope that she's able to get back in, man.

But that's the rumor that's out there. Let's listen to Mike Braeball talk about this. I think the reaction now are more moved on and focused on Seattle and focused on the Patriots and focused on getting better this week. Fully behind you. Try to just say that I've moved on and excited about this new opportunity here as we start this season. Sounds very bellic. Bellic. It learns from the master. Very bellic. Moving on to next week. These aren't the droids you're looking for. It's right. Yeah, nothing to see here. Hey, man. Like it ran its course. I think the story amongst the casual sports fan made it look great for the summer for us. No, thank you. Very tillating. But I think most folks are covering the NFL. They were over it. And it's two sides to that story in the sense that there are a lot of women trying to make it in the professional sports broadcasts in a journalism world. And it's tough because it makes everybody look like they're sleeping with the coaches and players. And there are people over the years that have done that. But there are professionals who do great work and keep it above board. But it is tough because when all the stuff just came out, it was like, oh, wow. And I just felt bad for all the people in this whole scenario.

I felt the worst for a senior's husband. You know, he just looked like, you know, I won't say the word. It makes it very uncomfortable. Ramas were truck hold. But it just, it was a bad, it felt bad for the dude, man. Yeah, I, I'll say this after this all came out, talking to some folks around the NFL, Mike, more people knew. Yeah, everyone knows. No one talks more people knew. It's like the link if the thing everybody apparently knew about what was going on with the dance. But it was going to come out and say, yeah, by the way. Yeah, so, but yeah, so Freibels saying all that's behind them. They, they kick off the season, by the way. And Seattle. So that's going to be that first game Wednesday night. And of course, we are your home for the NFL. Meanwhile, let's talk about some of the other things going on. Mitch and Jalen Hertz said, A, A, J Brown, they grew apart. He did a vanity fair interview. It's out there. You could check it out. Took the high road. Yeah, man, he said, quote, life happens. And you just look up sometimes and you just find yourself drifting away. And that's fine. I totally grew with them. Mike, there have been people in my life that you look up and you go, man, we don't talk like we used to. Or you know, you're just not as as tight as you once were.

But he says, I think both parties accepted that. And I think a lot of people thought this was his opportunity. Right. To like, here we go. Let me tell you something with this prima donna. I know what this Jack Lager. Oh, man. And I think Jalen Hertz knows deep down inside. He probably missed some, he's missed some throws. He's missed some scoring opportunities. A big throw is down the field because he's hesitant. Sometimes to pull the trigger. I agree. Texas General Manager Nick Casario says contract with CJ Straub will not extend into the season. We just talked to B-Mac about this with their corner, you know, join Porter Jr. They're seeing the same things. Mike, what do you think of CJ Straub? Remember the great rookie season, right? Right. And then Jalen Daniels came in and had a similar type season. And everybody said, man, you know, the CJ Straub season can't be topped. But my point is he was so bad in the playoffs last year. No. It doesn't mean he's not going to get a contract extension guys because they think he's their franchise guy. But he also been through multiple OCs. Yep. You know, and it's just, but he did not pass the I test. He just didn't. It just didn't, I mean, he looks really awful.

He looked like a rookie. He really looks like a rookie in his first game in some of those playoffs appearances, including the win over the Steelers, where he kept turning the ball right back over the Steelers and the defense get the ball right back to him. Yeah, they're talking about an extension, but if it's not reached before they're open against the bills, that's the same Sunday. We start September 13th, then they're going to wait until the end of the season. What do you think the Johns are going to be this year? What do you think the Johns are going to be? Six wins. Okay. Seven wins. Okay. I think they're in the same boat, kind of like where we are. I think there's some good things. There's some things that got to get improved. Surprise, Odell Beckham. You know, we talked about that and making the squad. Jackson Dart. What do you, let me ask you, I'll flip it over you. What do you think of Jackson Dart? I mean, is he ready to take that next step? First thing he's going to do is take a step out of bounds and not get hit, right? Yeah. I mean, look, I'll say this. It's funny because one of our listeners said yesterday when we were at Twin Peaks, Jackson Dart has dog in him. You see it. Now, can you harness that and coach it the right way and make him a much more efficient quarterback? Well, that's why Harballs there, right? But we'll see if that takes place.

I do think that, you know, that division, for me, it's Eagles, it's Cowboys, and I still think that the commanders are going to be in the mix somehow some way if Jayden Danes is healthy. But it's interesting because we're talking about the Giants. Cam Skataboo, Mike, talking about he almost retired after his injury. This is a guy can't, and again, stop doing stuff off the field. So you look like you're going to hurt yourself. Silly stuff. This is their running back, Cam Skataboo. Coming out of college, going in the NFL, I think I gave myself one rule. And it was, if I ever got a major injury, I was done playing. And that happened seven games into my career. So it kind of sucked. But I think that really helped me find who I am as a player and as a person. Yeah, look, you never know what's going on with these guys, but I enjoyed watching them last year. And then obviously he got hurt. Remember the injuries really decimated the Giants, the neighbors, all the things that happened to them. But they got a young star wide receiver, Mike. I think the running backs are good. If the quarterback can play well, I don't know. Maybe you're right.

Maybe this is that growth year for them. I'm not saying playoffs. Maybe eight wins, eight wins or so. And then next year, maybe they take that next step. Well, I guess they brought in Matt Nagy, former Bears coach and assistant with Andy Reed for many years. So he's going to try to get to Jackson Dart to make better decisions. Look, there's excitement about Dart because he's got the look. He's got the five. And he's been a Giants version of Joe Nameeth. All right, well, just you got to be able to stay healthy. Because Joe Nameeth was famous for missing more games than playing after that Super Bowl win at 69. As we get ready, yeah. And to your point, I mean, if you're not on the field, I think bring it back to our guy. But it doesn't matter. But they think they've beefed up the pass rush. I don't know. What's Harbo's second act going to be? You talked to Ravens fans. They said, good riddance. But we're going to see. I mean, more pressure. I just put them, I'm going to say to my, what I initially said, seven wins. OK, fair enough. Because we're going to break down next week before the start of the season, what we think these divisions are going to look like.

And certainly, maybe a surprise team or two as we get ready for the start of the season. And we have to do it guys before the season starts, which is Wednesday. So we get games Wednesday. We get those overseas games leading into next Sunday. Obviously, so it's going to be exciting week next week. It's Duke Symbel. It's fourth and one here on Sports Radio 9290 game. Real quick, we did not mention this yesterday about our division. But a lot of people picking us third, Mike. Third third. Who are these jumps? Tampa. Who are these jive, mother fates? Then us, right? And they're saying Caroline. And this is solely saying what? Say it one more time. Third third. But nonsense. And the team that went to the playoffs last year, they've got a fourth in Carolina. Again, depending on who you look at. But this is based on how many wins they think we're going to get. And I think we're like two percentage points more than the Carolina Panthers. Two percentage? Well, I mean, I never, well, that's not true. I've changed up this year. I am betting against my team. I'm betting against Florida State this week.

I did bet the under. I can't lie to you. I bet the under on the Falcons. What's the number? At seven and a half wins. I took it under. OK. I went under. So you're buying. I think seven. I think the Falcons are going to go seven and 10. But you're saying you're buying the Vegas conversation about quarterback is what you're telling me. That's what you're telling me. By the way, my source at CBS is in Forty-Me, Carl. And this is Monday, September 7. So Labor Day Monday? Correct. Starting quarterback press conference, 3.45 p.m. Falcons? So by Monday, according to my source at CBS, who's actually standing right next to me, it's just Mike Thomas. But anyway, he can read a press release. But apparently, is this privilege information? So anyway, or is it, either way, next week, they're going to have a press conference. So by Monday, is it Monday or Tuesday? Wednesday, see, I'm getting bad information. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Didn't I say it was going to be the Wednesday before the Sunday game? You got it. You said it that. Look at you. Look at you. Look, Stephansky said this. And this is the only reason why I told you this. He is said all along. I don't have to. I'm in no rush.

He said all along. I'm in no rush to name a starter. And the whole deal is like, what's your timetable? When he's like, when they tell me I have to. So when he said that, he's going to take it up to the last possible minute. But that's not surprising. They're back on the field Wednesday. It's all about the Steelers. Monday's Labor Day, even though they're off today, they'll be back on the field practicing. I think that's appropriate. So according to what the media has been handed, yeah, Wednesday, 345. That's appropriate. Who's it going to be? T-U. I think it's, my spidey sense is Tua. But I'm hoping it's Panics. I want to start this. Let's see what this kid can do. I want to see him from the jump. I want to see him handle the pressure. How much energy do we get? I'm talking to fan base from Panics being named the starter. It's a, I think you're going to juice bounce. I think there's people who are fired up more hyped about it. I do too. I think nobody's excited about Tua. But then if Tua goes out there and just wins, well, there's this thing. Is there any scenario where Tua plays well enough to continue starting? Well, I've asked you this all off season.

What's the leash? That's what I said. Nobody's been able to tell me that, right? You're telling me again, he goes for two 52 touchdowns. No picks is efficient. Mike, I don't know, 15 of 18, 15 of 20, whatever. Because they're not going to the ball 45 times, okay? Not with B-Jump. And my point is, he does that. He does exactly what you want him to do. You win. You're going to week two. Let's say he does similar things. You just, in week three, you pull him? Like, I guess, but that's what I've been asking. And nobody's been able to say that. Unless they go to him and say, look, you got two games. And then we're going to go to Michael. Like to Sean Watson and Cleveland, that's basically, you know, if you heard the conversation, he's going to start for two games. I was still, it's almost like let him fail. And then should our Sanders, you'll be in there doing your thing. It's not even that's out. That's kind of laid it out. So I've always felt the first two weeks would be going to Tua, but I just, I'm still holding out hope that Pennis can do something in this environment of this practice. Where ever they're going at it. Yeah. Are they showing them new looks? How is he responding?

Is Van Pelt and Reese and Stupansky saying, okay, he's got it. You know how I know that nobody knows, except maybe three guys in that building. Because nobody's run with it. Nobody. We're coming back. We got a lot more to dive into. What's on Day Day's mind is we're live in Hamilton, Mildredaac Buffalo's Cafe. We'll be here until six. It's Duke's and Bill on Sports Radio, 92 9 to 9. Oh, that used to be my jam right there. Duh, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, new shoes. Oh, and you, SHO OZ. Happy Friday everybody. It's Duke's and Bill Sports Radio, 92 9 to 9. If you're coming out, have a drink, man. We are here at Buffalo's Cafe, Hamilton, Mildredaac. Come on, man, it's Friday. Great crowd, man. Great crowd. Yeah. And get your Labor Day weekend started, right? I don't know what you're doing this weekend. But I'm watching football. That's what I'm gonna be doing as watching some football. Thank you. Thank you. Who's watching football in here? Yeah. Yes. That's what's some football.

Only guy not watching football is our next guest, Damien Dayday, the dud spud Lewis. What are you talking about? Not compelled by the matchups in week one. I didn't say I would do that. I know what I heard yesterday called. I just said, I just said that I felt like week zero was disrespected because week one doesn't have any matchups that outside of LSU and Clipson that are... What are you talking about? Ole Miss Louisville, Wisconsin, Notre Dame. Okay, but frankly, I don't know what you're looking at. Okay, look at putting the note in the... Right, frankly, right, this way. Week zero had about what? 10 matchups. Yeah. And only one was probably better. Or one was worth it. Week one has like 60 matchups and maybe four. So, what are you talking about? You want every game? I'm saying, if you want a, if you want to call week zero, week zero, I'm fine with that. But then week one, give me some power tonight. Give me some heat. The you. Give me some reasons to be laid out with an empty glass of whiskey. Hey, come on. You got the you.

You took the you. You got the you tonight. Take it on Stanford. All right, Stanford at the farm. Yes. I go people like upset alert, upset. It'll be an upset at more than 10,000 people show up at Stanford, much softer. California football fans, sock. Sorry, back to you. All right, anyway. It's not going to be enough. I'm actually watching a lot of football. I was in the building last night. Great, first of all, despite the loss, shout out to Georgia Tech. Awesome atmosphere. Can we can we mention this real quick? Because you know, I know Brink Key has been adamant about the home field advantage and yeah, calling tech fans out. They're showing up. Yes. Give him a reason to keep coming back. Yes. Last year in the Pittsburgh game, we said this. They showed up. And I thought last night was great. On television, it looked wonderful. So and to your point, that's what literally walking out of the stadium last night, my wife and I were talking about outside. See, this is a problem because now you go into a Tennessee matchup, which most people are going to probably already say, if we couldn't take care of business against Colorado, what's the chances we're going to be able

to take and not to say they won't. Not to say they won't make the adjustments. Yeah. But the reality of it is. Well, they're going to play Mad Next Week. That's the goodness, right? Yeah. You got a lot of mad folks in that building and Brink Key is going to be on edge all week. I wouldn't want to be around him. Right. But you got to execute it. He said that. They didn't execute last night. That's the reason those little things that Mike said, you could have stole that game. Colorado led for the first time with what, 51 seconds in the game. Yep. Right. You shouldn't have been able to pull it. Yeah. I mean, just, and you saw it there. I mean, let it look like from the stands on television. They were just pushing Georgia Tech around. Oh, no. They definitely were. And the coach we talked about, you know, it's like, Pat Schumer always felt like a strange fit for, you know, for Neon, Deon's coaching staff. But the young man Brennan Marion, I thought it's just smart football. You can't stop the run. Let's keep running it. Let's run it till they stop us. Well, your guess what stood out to me yesterday about Colorado is the guess you guys had on more Johnson play by play radio. Remember what he said? You heard him. You could hear him from the, from the stands. I appreciate that.

No, but also excite. Remember what he said. He said, Deon, when you guys asked him about the whole, you know, how that first time was like all these stars, stars were part of the staff. And sometimes that doesn't kill us. Yeah. All of that and brought in guys that coach football. And that's what you saw last night with Colorado. You saw a team that was being coached by guys. Look at that last drive by Juju. I mean, that was the best he looked the entire night. And it led to that. And I mean, it was just precise. He was getting the ball out. Like so you saw a Colorado team that was well coached last night. I would agree with that. And that's another thing. I would agree with that. And you all start team sometimes as a work car. Did it is point? Well, look, I love these guys who are great players. It doesn't mean they're going to be great coaches. You know, the 10 Williams analogy, right? Greatest player of all time was not the best manager. So yeah, I just but but I think he's I told you yesterday. He felt like he's got the best staff he's had there. And that's saying a lot because he had a bunch of guys and yellow jackets that were, you know, assistant coaches the last few years.

Either way, good one for them. Tech has to recover. Yeah. And hopefully, but here's a deal. Can they fix what was going on up front? Because that's going to be remaining the question. If you are UVA or any of these other teams that you're going to see down the road in the ACC, you put that tape on and go, there's our game plan. Yeah. We got they got to prove they can stop us. Oh, my name, my name of Reggie says day day is now dead to him. Why? Two words, Auburn Baylor. Oh, that's a big one. That's a big one. Yeah, yeah. You just alienated. Thank you. You just alienated Auburn for. OK, Reggie, if you guys get inside the top 25. Wow. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I just have a war Eagle car. All right. All right. All right. Speaking of more football, shout out to Monroe area, not too far from here. Yeah. Orin, really? Orin, how dare you? Two of the highest paid quarterbacks in college. Don't tell. At Mercedes Benz. And then, oh, my God. That's a Chick-fil-A kickoff classic. Is it still called that? I think so. I believe so. I believe so. I want to see what goal is she's got, guys.

Yeah. That's a little awkward, Coach. She's supposed to be really good offensively. We'll see. All right. Shout out to Monroe. So, Orin, now you're just being a turd. Shout out to Monroe area, going to watch them play tonight. They're two and a half on the season to start the season. They're taking on you. Did you say it, Monroe? They're taking on Habersam Central. So, and a few other big matchups around the match, all you got, Lansing, Hughes, Holstein, Grayson, Brookwood, and South Gwinnett taking on each other. Two teams, we saw on the Corki Club. That's right. That's a big one. Another big one, Blessed Trinity and Hebrew, Christian in the North Gwinnett and Walton. So, I know I can't. I know there's a lot tonight. The guys won't give me that much time to talk about all of you. How's there? I'd rather hear about this in the WNBA. Please continue. Speaking of which, a story I know you've been following very well. Your fire. Fire God. A story I know, Mike, that you've been following very closely. Miss Kathy Engelberg. Yeah, they put her out to pasture. Well, she's retiring. Yeah. So, forced retirement. I think it was kind of. Come on. Yeah, you kind of knew this stuff.

I think she got a phone call. She was like, I mean, don't you enjoy golf? She did it. I know you loved it every WNBA, but nobody watched it. And then Caitlin Clark came and Asian boys. And then people started watching. And then people realized, wow. This league is really Mickey Mouse. The way the refs run it. You know, it's a lot of nonsense. You better tighten this thing up. The star attractions getting mugged every other night. And the commission is like, but hey, but we don't know what W stands for. So, yes, it was probably the right thing. She was maybe the good person for the while there that it was literally on corporate welfare. You need somebody who can maximize Carl, the new eyeballs, and the growth of this league. It's time for her to go. I don't think Mike's told us how he feels about the WNBA. But go ahead and tell us. Just a leadership. They've blown so many golden opportunities in the last two years with all this growth. Yeah, Andrew Reese's. And Andrew Wilson. Other stars. Oh, yes. Anyway, you betcha. Shout out to Georgia State. They opened their season tonight. Big favorites. North Carolina 807. How would I know that? How would I know that? The Jitterard, go ahead. All right. And then last one here.

So we've been talking a lot about our own. You really are taking it next level this year, man. Well, no, I've always been here. You come to have a notice. No coming in. Have you apparently? Because you want to be me. That's who. Make these picks. Now again, you must have lost your shirt the first few weeks when you were down 10 games under 500. No, not really. I was cool, common-collected. And I told you I was going to make a run and then I hit. All right. Last one here. We didn't get a chance to hit this one either. But it's all tied into this. Everything going on. OK. Not necessarily with LSU, but just college sports. And to your point, Carl, you mentioned it. I think everything going on with LSU kind of overshadowed another story. It does. Greg, thank you reportedly listed his priorities of what he would want to see if he was to agree to a 2014 playoff. And among those is 10 games against power for opponents. Well, Tony Petiti in response yesterday said he'd be open to the teams being required. Hold on. Go ahead.

The teams being required to play a 10 game or 10 P4 opponents. If that does mean that's what you see. George is already doing that. Well, George is already doing it. Clemson, South Carolina will be playing Clemson. Obviously, everyone has that inner squad, like Flore. Or inner conference, I should say, like Flore to Florida state. And George is Georgia Tech Car. Before you even do like a big game to start the season. So was this the only caveat that he needed to hear? This is the one they put out there. So but again, Petiti says, OK, well, if that's what it takes. We'll do it. That's one of the things he's open for the big 10 to do that. But that does mean the big 10 is going to have to. Let's be honest, when you look at most big 10 teams and you look at their schedules, I don't even know if outside of their conference schedules, if they have a combined what, nine, if they've had nine. But you know what, with the amount of members they have, they could easily add with their conference. Just the way it works. Exactly. It's easy. They've got the biggest number of amount of teams. You could easily just add two more to your conference.

Yeah. And you got your strength of schedule. You got everything you're asking for. Yeah. And speaking of big 10, the Rutgers embarrassment coming up next hour in Guy Talk. That was, that was bad. So yeah, I just want to put that out there. And then last thing, Ben Simmons. Ben Simmons is bad. You guys talked about him. He's not fishing anymore. He agreed to a one year deal with the kicks. OK. OK, he was overseas. What was he? What was he? No, he was in the sea. He was fishing. He was doing like a competitive fishing league. I had seen something where he was overseas. And but good for Ben Simmons. I mean, look, for those who don't remember the Hawks killed his career. Yeah. OK, he had an easy dunk in a playoff game a few years back. 21. Tray Young. He deferred. And he deferred. And the confidence levels shot. And he was never the same player. He was the same after that. And then he walked the earth like cane fishing. He's making 3.5 million, by the way. Yeah. He got a bag early. He was average in 30 million a year for a guy that couldn't shoot. And had no heart. You know what? You know what, though? Because we got a couple of minutes. I go back.

I always say this. We in the media have a tendency sometimes to put these guys on a level where they have it proven anything. This guy couldn't even lead his team to the tournament. Right. At LSU. Yeah. But he had his own reality show when he came from Australia. There was too much hype around to your point. That's what I'm saying. But to who much has given much of the day day? A lot of times the media paints the media. No, but the media had given 30 million a year. The sixers gave him 30 million a year. And he sucked. My point is Mike, though. A lot of times in the media, we put these guys bigger. We make them bigger than what they are without going out there and proving it. Bro, you got to prove it to me that you are going to be the next. You never will prove anything. That's the right. So that's the NBA kind of sucks that now. Oh, he's a bus. He's a bus. Did he come out and tell you he was the next Kobe Bryant? I don't know. Maybe a TV show. I don't know. I don't know. Did he put a gun to his head and say you're going to do a reality TV show? What the hell is your coming from Australia?

What the hell is your name? That bill's day. You know, did he come out and say, I'm the man? You can't play the victim and sign up for that show. Come on. I'm asking you with all these athletes. You were saying where's the expectations? They put him on a platform, which increased expectations. My question is when these athletes get to the top, you expect excuses for the athletes? There is no excuse. My what I'm saying is if guys aren't proving it as media members, we should also be careful of how much hype we're giving kids. You're out making them prove he's 18, 19 year old kid and you're saying he's the next Kobe Bryant and what have they done? Well, that's the thought was always and that was the question. Does he have a jump shot? Did he even have a jump shot when he was an LSU? No, no. That's what I'm saying. Now you crush him because he didn't pay not to be what you said he was going to be. You know what? We're supposed to buy a line for the guy made $120 million. He can't hit a jump shot or a free shot. That's what's up my mind. All right. Monroe, I'm coming your way. Tonight. Tonight. Let's go. All right. Good stuff, Dave.

Man, that was enjoyable. Wasn't it? We just sit back here with some popcorn in a nice drink. I mean, I'm sorry. I'm not. Ben Simmons is everything is wrong with the NBA car. And this and this journalist appeared. Yeah. He and by the way, Sacramento is not going to do anything this year. They're not going to do anything. But it is interesting how he's made his way back to the league. All right, guys, speaking of college football, we're going to run down some games. We're paying attention to also talk a little bit about the dogs. Look, it's no secret. They should win this weekend. And they should win big. My only concern is the heat. What's off? I'm going to say to spread. We'll talk about it coming up on Sports Radio 92 9-2-9 the game.
