Just us, baby. Yeah, lone wolves. Yeah, we can talk about Halloween the game. Lone wolves. Oh, Dave, Halloween the game. Evil dies tonight. Evil dies tonight. Evil sits sadly with its head kind of sagging a little bit in the back of a police cruiser, kind of feeling silly now wearing this mask, feeling a little silly in the mask now that I'm in handcuffs. Now they hear an handcuffs. And the back of the cruiser tonight. They're going to fingerprint you. Evil does all of that tonight. Yeah, they're going to take your photograph. They're going to make you take that mask off and they're going to take your picture. Man, is it 9-11? Yes. Oh, okay. You didn't forget, so you did your job. Yay. The ghosts will pass over our homes for another year. We're going to watch movies tonight. Are they going to be 9-11 movies? Ooh, they could be. They could be. They could be. We'll just watch the entire like news broadcast and the like the news broadcast of like after it,

like the next few days. Oh, yeah, that'll thrill and delight everyone. Yeah. Hello, everyone. Hi. Hello, another episode of hypecast. It's the show where we get hyped about stuff and things and September 11th. I'm your co-host. I'm Raymond. I'm the other one, David Bell. No guest. No guest. No guest. The guest, Dave, is the crippling national memory. That's true. Yeah, we did that out of respect. There's a moment of silence for nine. We didn't have a guest. Yeah. We don't have to make up excuses for going. We have guests sometimes we don't. Yeah. Fucking fine. What of it? Are you judging us? What are you going to do? How are you? Tom, how are you? I'm doing great. Now that Halloween the game is out. Yeah, me too. It's really exciting. It's right at the 13th all over again. And that's very exciting. For anyone who's been with us since the early days of Gamefully Unemployed, I'm really excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited.

I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. I'm excited. Not just an Covid-19akis sticker. It's, that one that I made a guest at Jaysionville. Yes. Your eyeliner blizzes it out. Is it dark, extra 기 street? You know, it's completely dark. No, it's quite dark. It's kind of dark. It's sponge and stuff when you go to the zoo and start swimming. Absolutely. I said it's, it's more cool. TheICH is jumping off his and laughing, and I was telling you Yeah. For somebody else on the spot was between the Twitter and Twitter. For it it is good, it's really good. So I can just one of the posts I made people watch. And it's like, yeah. It's often silly to play around, but a weird thing for me is because I'm joking. That's the bit we were doing in the beginning. You can totally beat him enough that you can handcuff him and the match ends with him sitting in the back of the Compa of the police crews are like an asshole Yeah, it's gonna get driven home to his parents like a kid who got caught stealing beer Yeah, the game builds on Friday 13th. This is my review of it It builds on Friday 13th in smart ways while still remaining just a little bit busted in a way that makes

It fun. Yeah Like it's still like the you know, it's a kind of a puppet. Yeah, still float a little bit the animation still aren't perfect Everything clips for no god damn reason. Yeah, exactly. It's perfect. I love it So they've learned that like they don't have to be perfect. That's just has to be fun Yeah, we will forgive a lot like Bethesda teaches us that every time Yeah, and like at their their like creepily accurate to movies That's the other thing that's the best that was the best part of Friday the 13th was how screen accurate everything was and this is great The the huge maps that were so much fun in Friday 13th. Oh, yeah, the big maps. Yeah, the music It's red should we should we reserve this space maybe Dave For us to talk about what we're playing Would people be into that? Hype cast. I don't know. Yes, you're usually we have a guest. I know we kind of bullshit with that you could ask them with their comfortable we can we can but like if we have like Obama on

Like it might be like it kind of depends on the guests. You know if Obama's on course I'm asking Obama what he's playing Yes, true. We think Obama's playing Sports He's like sports. Yeah, he I think he would think that we are nerds and point dexter's and he would believe us He's gonna strike us. He'd throw it. All right shit out of us. Yeah, right right now as we chuckle it in our little homes Yeah, they're the microphones. I like to think they gave him a drone like he saw as a drone He's like a bronze drone commemorating all of the strikes he did in office. Yeah, oh, I like to think it's still up there like he can like he gets one drone Oh, oh, oh Like the presidential escort he gets a presidential drone Exactly they just use it's like neighbor who doesn't like like goodness Should we think producers? I guess so yeah All right, fuck it. Fuck it. Let's think some producers. Why not crazy?

They're gonna burrito this skankiest slut in town Thanks and thank you to check out Jeff has cool cards on the YouTube's for stellar pack breaks and sweet minute ribs hell. Yeah, do that rip those minutes saying He wants to talk about movie trailers. Yeah, man. Let's rip some movie trailers. Yeah, let's talk about like eight movie trailers Let's let's talk about exactly eight movies Yeah starting with Oh my goodness M night shaman's new film with Nicholas Team it up with Nicholas sparks to make a haunted love story. Yeah ghost fucker. Right? Jill and Hal's a ghost fucker. We always knew he was it's called remain by the way. Yes, it's called for me. Sorry Yeah, I think it's the idea like he was her name. It is shy of all on so we do have to clarify that he didn't just call it ghost fucker Yeah, let's let's not forget the lesson of old

So yeah, yeah, it's true. No, it's kind of ghost a Little it's a little ghost. It's ghost but scary. It seems like ghost but told exclusively like if it was told Excusely from Demi Moore's point of view it is but like it's told from Swayze's point of view Yes, and I think the idea she needs to like at the end move on or she's being Backed or he's the one that's dead that might end up being the fucking thing because it's sham. Oh, if they do that have Bruce will show up Bruce will listen He knows he knows he can't do that shit Like he knows he can't do he's the ghost the whole time Or maybe he just does what if he just does yeah, I love to realize that neither of them are the ghosts no one's dead and they're just weird He's actually kind of done that already He did that the one who are the great What's wrong with them spoilers It's not technically not super natural. That's that's for sure. Yeah, something very anyway

Yeah, this is good you know you go I was gonna say the setup for this is like it's Jake Jill and Hall is dating this younger woman and they seem to have a really Just in Intense but not like intensely passionate. It's like an intensely just a really strong connection and they and it's built around them playing all these board games all the time And they both seem to be kind of homebodies And then it kind of abruptly gets creepy and it starts to seem like She's haunting him and perhaps she is dead or has been a ghost the whole time or I don't know It gets all shamel on it's Nicholas Sparks who if you're not familiar wrote the notebook among other things Isn't an adaptation no no, I think this is an original co-lab. Yeah, they have a Screen story credit they share and then shamel has got the screenplay credit Okay, that's cool. That's a fun. I that's a really fun idea for collaboration like no kidding like genuinely this is a fun idea

Yeah, I have to shout out To movies being filmed in Cape Cod this takes place in Cape Cod. Oh, Rex. Yeah, spooky. It's place in America Apparently, we're really yeah, we're really I think windows Bay's like a Baby and then Tony takes place in Cape Cod Yeah, that's a real spook test. I mean, we're just jaws is just yeah, I Well, it's amity, but yeah Yeah, I I've said this before about M night shaman and I kind of regret saying this I kind of take it back But I've said before he's an amazing director. He needs to get a writer Because his problem has never been directing right his problem has been the writing That said as I've gotten to know him longer. I'm more like no bigger swings Like yeah, you're like yeah, there's one thing I can say about his movies

They're not boring and I I enjoy watching them for better for worse except for The wind the evil trees that one is that I was just about to say the happening's a little dull the happening is more dull than it should be For that cast and that premise, but no shaman He und I will defend paraphrasing Henry Rollins, but I will I will fucking defend Shaman's directing in any arena like he's he's a great writer excellent director I remember people when when he first came Kate like after six cents It was this like the new Spielberg article. Yeah, and it's more like he's like I would say his style is His own. Yes, it's a little hitchcock too, but it's very much, but it's it's it's clearly inspired by both Yeah, there's others in there obviously other influences, but yeah, I do remember that when he when six cents first hit Yeah, what do you think is this best directed film? Oh man, that's tough. I have an answer um

Yeah, give me your answer and I might I think a lot of people are saying right now. I think it's signs Which is funny because I never thought that at first, but I think signs is just you might be right Yeah I wanted to sit like I wanted to sit with it and think about it for a second And I was just gonna say the six cents Oh, yeah, I mean it is good well directed, but man. Yeah, signs really I Think split has really good acting. I settled on I was thinking about split two and it yeah It's not just I mean it is so much the acting, but he really does pick a couple of really gripping shots that he knows when to like to to frame those performances There are a couple of shots specifically that still hang in my mind from that movie. Yeah And the way that that movie is paced to yeah, it's very scary It's just the highs are high is in the lows are lows. Yeah, and I like that

I like that I go into one of his films going like Okay, which is it now? Not get the cabin Then trap happens Yeah, not get the cabin. Yeah, trap is fun. Yeah This is just so I think that like who okay, here's another question. What two artists you want to see team up like this? Oh boy, it's hard. Well, you can't really pick two directors. You want to you start with the genre I think Like what two genres you want to smash together because this is like the the rom com But like from a specific era specific type of rom not rom com excuse me uh Romantic melodrama Is Nicholas sparks like the notebook Gosh, he has another huge one that I'm Blank. Yeah, this is just such an elegant Like where I'm like they're both a little melodramatic already. Yeah, it just works. I'll give you mine that doesn't work Kevin Smith the writer

Christopher Nolan the director. Oh, man It would be a terrible terrible. I mean Michael Kane talking about fucking star wars and dicks In this really like like literally like dramatic scene where like the music is all like Amazing and it's just it just won't work. It won't work, but I want it. That would be pretty rare Yeah Uh, yeah, I don't know what a good LL. Yeah, I'm trying to I'm trying to think of a good collision here um gosh Just because this this is kind of one of the louder ones you could do right yeah Here's what I will say because this is worked bet like David Fincher and Sorkin turned into something where you're like hey That's something I would actually say close to Nolan Sorkin Nolan and Sorkin to make like an Oppenheimer type movie. I'm like oh, I could see that easily. Yeah. Yeah You run the you run the risk of turning into like happy time murders by playing this game is the problem Oh, yeah, yeah, but this is like a genuinely or or or stuff like it's just different versions of this idea like what um

Um, oh goodness I'm blanking on his name, but happy death day has done like um, um, oh yeah What is it? Yeah, it's a wonderful life. Yeah, what if it's a wonderful life was a slasher is is one that that he did I think that's why it's more about like people who are it's a tone thing right like this is About like a Nicholas Sparks style romance. Mm-hmm done with the creepiness of Shyamalan Shyamalan and it's like oh that's such a good combo What if okay, what about Kevin Smith and Rob Zombie? Oh Fuck that would work. Yeah You think like the red state Kevin Smith. Yeah, that would work That's oh, that's true. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hadn't even really I was just thinking about him a rob zombie filmed clerks Yeah, just really make it Grimey losers Yeah, there's some there's some ones out there, but remain is the name of this film again with Jake chillin

I think we've already broken our foul to talk about only eight movies exactly. I know Well, let's talk about the next official movie. Let's do it artificial damn it. This is I see what you did the director of Challengers oh And Luca Digino I believe I have butchered the man's name, but he also I have a I have a kind of a complicated relationship with him Yeah, because he also did Susperia. Yeah, he make yes I Was like why Challengers was awesome go adaninho. I'm sorry. Okay, um he also did the movie after the hunt Which I did not see so as to preserve my opinion of him because it sounded like and the reviews It got bad reviews it sounded like it was a bit of like cancel culture am I right? Yeah, like a little bit of that Yeah Um, I did like Challengers a whole lot though me too um I was real mid on

Susperia and It's well-directed, but it's a god's the cannibal one can't yeah, they're all well-directed bones and all bones and all that's right. Yeah, they're all well-directed um This is about chat GPT Yes What's his face? Sam Altman. Yeah with Andrew Garfield Which he is just doomed to these roles. Yeah, like you play tech guy. He's like yeah, I know he's got that face Yeah, you know, I know what I look like Cooper Hoffman's there Jason Swartzman is apparently there is a hell of a cast um Normally I've said this a lot on the show I talk a lot about recency with these kinds of movies where it's dramatizing a recent event and the rise of chat GPT is very very recent um, but I feel like Normally my take is we need some time before we know the the full historical context of this event and what the fallout sort of was

Even the immediate ripples you need a little bit of distance um away from the the event before you can really start to comment on it, but I feel like this is One of the rare instances in which I think this is like the exact right time to put out this movie that sort of Exchoreating Altman and chat GPT in the whole drive for AI or what they're calling AI right now It's not like something like W where Oliver Stone dropped. It's like Weird George Bush biopic while George Bush was still in office and it was just It just didn't have anything new to say it felt like an SNL sketch just like here's actors you like playing dress up This doesn't feel like that. This definitely has a point of view. It's definitely Attacking these men as being amoral sociopaths Like I I believe the dialogue we hear in the trailer is just transcripts Is it not is that not like direct quotes from Altman? But like probably they these people are all on tape saying

Really god awful like out there shit Um, where this is the right time to put this movie out as is what I'm saying like this is I agree We need people to see like people people already are rejecting this but people need to be way more angry at all these people And this is the time to put this movie out I think Here's what I think is the difference So like W for example is after the fact and you're like oh he was still in office when it came out Right, but it's not like so like this is weird, but like Fahrenheit 9 11 That also oh yeah problematic as that movie is Came out right before the election so it had in theory a purpose right right it was Michael Moore trying to be like Please not another yeah, don't elect him, you know Um w feels like it's like jack off moment, right? Yeah, then you have like the big short the big short is I think has value Because it's trying to explain something and it's trying to be like, you know, can we not fucking do this again? Yeah, this feeling this just happened

They're still like collecting on this in front of us. Yeah, like yeah, yeah, I agree with that So I think it's all about like you look at the apprentice that movie that came out before the election So in theory you could say like well, they were trying and it's like It's like spitting into a hurricane with that There's that feeling I think with politician specifically where the movies feel like this flaccid responses like we have no power But we can put out a mean movie and it's like boy that who gives a shit, right? Yeah, it's that feeling Whereas tech is kind of driven by consumers And so you look at the metaverse Where people were like now I'm not doing that and then it just fizzled out, right? And and and you look at like the movie the social network did help Create that image. Yes, where people kind of slowly were like hey, you know what? Fuck this guy. It's not like he's lost a lot of power, but Facebook is certainly on its way out Yeah, you know, and it's getting all these lawsuits Where it's like it's not really about like can we make these guys go broke because they're too rich to go broke

But it's like can we at least create a world where they don't have the power they have you know exactly This is these people thrive on you not knowing this stuff right and I would argue that Zuckerberg has no power anymore I would or has way less power like I don't think the president is scrambling to return his call It's definitely diminished I I think that's that's probably true Yeah, I said after I said definitely Yeah, sure, I think this era more than a lot of things more than Trump. I'm realizing I really think historically We're gonna look back at like the internet was invented and it created all these like Tech lords. Yeah, oh Tom you've been I'm thinking about this. I just read it. It's some more news script about this right now actually Yeah, and I think it's Something on flock cameras right now and my whole thing are flock cameras as I looked at the CEO And after reading about him and listening to him I'm like guys can we just not give this not this fucking guy Yeah, do we really have to have one this guy in power? It's that feeling of like I he's gonna be on x

Like retweeting Andy no fucking Videos and talking to eat like we don't need another one of these, you know, it's that feeling yeah It's all to say that I just think that's really gonna mark this time. Yeah, I think you're right And I think that it's all to say that right now Movies like this are important because it's all about who's giving them their money Well in theory they can also just lie and say we're gonna go to Mars and investors will keep Yeah, yeah, they'll be like it's worth to trillion dollars because Elon's gonna have Starbucks up there in 2030 Right, but it is that's the thing their power is perception. That's the entire power. Yeah, it's all it's like it is worth being The only thing I wish this movie would tackle and maybe it does the trailer doesn't is that chachi vt is not like Skyman boy, oh boy. It's not that impressive. It is It's just the chatbot on your phone. It is just the text predictor on your phone. Yeah, that's the one thing I wish They would it's more advanced than that mind you, but it is ultimately that

It really is just that the only it's an NPC. Yeah, it has a Falling in love with a huge database of responses based on if then probability or a frequency of use, you know that that's it It's anyway, so it is I think this movie seems to explore the idea that these people are actively Trying to end the world while Talking about how they're gonna usher this new air right? They're trying to destroy the current world So that they could be the kings in the next world Yes, this in this trailer him like going down to his bunker or whatever that is like And that's not bullshit. That's not bullshit That's not Although I think it will be a really good double viewing with the next trailer because I think the next trailer is more about The the stuff the other side of it. Yes Yeah, I mean they're all this important. It's they're all entwined, but yeah, let's get on to the next trip artificial. This does look good Um, it does look good You can see everything boy. Oh boy. This Nathan Fielder just meeting his match

Holy shit. Yeah, this was the surprise trailer that dropped for Nathan Fielder made a documentary with Elizabeth Holmes Right before she went to prison Uh, she apparently invited them. She apparently was like this is something that I feel like a lot of Like people with you know, sociopaths. I don't want to call her sociopath Narcissistic personality disorders They're like like didn't that Chevy chase documentary start with Chevy chase wanting to make a documentary about himself And it's like oh, don't do that. It's OJ writing if I didn't exactly like dude Yeah, and it's just him and her face to face It's a her view like when I lie Well, I have no reason. I have no reason to to not be truthful. Why would I lie? He's like face you Okay It's a watching Nathan Fielder just get like out Nathan Fielder And being like Jesus

That's what it feels like it feels like this documentary happened Fielder will go like I need to quit like it's that it's like It's like it's like it's like the twilight zone where the racist goes back in time It's like it's weird to compare to that. It's just like oh you like being Nathan Fielder have a ton of Nathan Fielder I like it now have all the Nathan Fielder in the world It's already getting Yeah, she's your rock in the baby the whole time. Yeah, it's already has a couple of really good reviews I boy This is probably gonna be a fascinating documentary Yes, and I think this explain explains more of the grifter side. Yes, like I know there's an Elon documentary that I think kind of explores that side too where I like Again the social network artificial. It's it is important But I think there's always this thing of like when they're showing them is like kind of dangerous Sometimes they forget to also point out that they're kind of grifters and they're kind of their social network

Does it a little bit? They're completely self-deluded on a lot of them on some level. Yeah I think This is sort of an explanation of that because what Nathan Fielder does Um I'm gonna do my best to articulate it is he sort of it feels like a little kid like a little kid at like uh Their parents like corporate function or something going around and just asking all of the adults very very direct Questions with no regard for the social contract So yes That's kind of what he that's kind of his whole thing is he's just he's so Direct with absolutely no Fear or shame. He's just like I'm gonna ask this thing to are I'm gonna say this thing directly and it exposes somebody Yes, yes, I think it like the nation for a year episode where he designs a pod That parents can have sex or that parents can put their kids in a hotel So they can fuck while the kids don't hear them

um And they get child actors and porn stars in and what it exposes is they're talking to the child actor parents being like So we're gonna put your kid in this pod and these porn stars gonna fuck next to it You okay with that and they're just like yeah, sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and it's like it's that where it's like He's just exposing how like depraved these parents of child actors are I'm without saying it just showing it kind of yeah Showing the thing, but that's not always the goal like if you've seen the rehearsal like What's also what's so compelling about Nathan field or because his stuff is really uncomfortable to watch often Is that yeah, it's really organic in in a similar way to something like the fucking The jinx because it often seems it or at least at least it's either it genuinely spins out or he's so good at doing this That it seems like it's genuinely spinning out, but like the first season of the rehearsal took a completely different direction

If you saw that where the kid did you watch it now he has a kid it ends at one point of it ends up with him having Actors pose as his family for whatever you know how the It's it's hard to explain the show, but he's basically rehearsing He's having people rehearse events in their lives for them so they feel more confident Doing the real event the paramount one where you like makes them not see Germany or whatever Yeah, yeah he recreates them as yeah, and in season one it he gets it gets spun out to the point where he's built himself like a fake house And he's living there with a fake wife and a fake child um and One of the child actors does not have a father figure in his life And they have to live they they spend like six weeks basically living in this house like they break it up with each child as the child is supposed to be aging Right, but this one actor it's not I'm not sure how many weeks it was but there's a period of time where he was like this this young child actor was playing his son in this role

And the clearly we watch in real time the role begins to get confused for this kid where he starts to identify Nathan as his dad And really once Nathan to be his dad And then like after it's because he yeah It's you see like yeah, it becomes like a part of the show that he couldn't you couldn't have planned for that because it's a mean thing to do right Right, and so you have you see and Nathan who is like normally this kind of deadpan very goofy He's playing it for comedy, but now he's being faced with like this real fucking issue Yeah, that's brutal you should it it's really I have to watch it's really good By the way, you mentioned the jinx. I just have to point out Robert Durst is the one who came to them I just have to point that out because we were talking about that Yeah, it's always these goofballs want to clear their names, but anyway, that was a really really long-winded way of saying I think this is going to be fascinating for those reasons Absolutely, this is like it's going to spin out in ways they probably didn't intend. It's going to be very revealing

Yeah, not just about a little bit of homes, but about the whole Grifter culture like you were saying yeah, yeah This is not me trying to resolve a little Elizabeth Holmes other people have pointed this out is that it is weird That there are so many tech grifters and the only one Is the woman that we like pinned down and was like look at this maniac and it's like I do need Nathan Vielder to go hang out with musk. I do need him to go hang out with some of these Tequila like if they were like I hope that's the thing they can point out in this It's just like it's she's not abnormal in this industry like No, I she obviously was a pretty big fucking grifter It was it's yeah, there's there's a lot of I don't want to discount that but like Theranos was fucking that's a Serious fucking grift. Yes, and but it is like not unlike a lot of the tech industry true at yeah, so I mean it was planned

It was fucking with people's blood and like Yeah, oh it was straight-up lies Putting people she's putting putting people's lives directly in danger Right, that's the thing about grifters is like we have I think I mean Maybe this will be a cultural change because for the record everybody is kind of sick at tech like the AI data center Everybody's because there's it's such snake oil. It's such snake oil. I think like the cats kind of almost fully out of the bag now Right, we're just we're old we're all old enough that we've seen the grift too many times now It's right. Well, it's just the same shit. Sorry. I think it's no. I think it's because like We had the internet and then we had phone iPhones Smartphones I should say and that was genuinely huge breakthroughs in technology. Yeah, and they've been writing that idea since Where I think we're now realizing like oh, I guess it was probably only those like we started doing this idea of like what we what can't we make And it's like yeah, we will you know, there'll be things stuff. Not even cars are slowly becoming a thing

Yeah, slowly, you know like electric cars have been they've been around since the 90s But at least we're having them more and like maybe a robot butler someday like there's stuff But it's like we felt that rush and we've realized like And there was all these grifters came in to be like I have the next That yeah the next um smartphone the next Facebook honestly, yeah And I think the way we were like we love true crime and murderers I think we need to start like grifters are fascinating like this she is fascinating Because it's like she is just a liar. She's also just look you in the face and live exactly It's like that is kind of chilling It's a thing we don't really examine enough and we clearly should have been examining for quite some time Like the other thing about her that I don't want to discount is she did make such she was such a figure Like I knew who she was and I wasn't following tech at all at this time

That that everybody knows that famous photo of her holding the pill Yeah Because that's we have to examine like the way the press treat these grifters how they jump on it like again It's really this is the time to think about grifters in our society because we've been overtaken by them And it's like what is the so like going and examining her is really valuable Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is This should be really really fascinating. I think yeah boy if only he could get one on Trump that would be incredible I know Trump will advise or Joe Rogan Joe Rogan love to see him talk to Joe Rogan for fucking yeah, I do like however long Who did that Uh the the guy who did the comedy cult Um the Elf and Graveyard did a really good Joe Rogan Uh, nice how comedy was destroyed by an anti-reality doomsday cult It's it's he's very um he reminds a guy madden a bit. He has that monotone face. Oh, yeah

He has that dry comedy. It's a youtube 90 minute. It's really good breakdown of like how Joe Rogan lost his fucking mind Did everybody around him did? It's a great one. Yeah Watch that in the meantime also Fortitude Our next trailer fortitude From the director of con air Simon West. Yeah Not just con air he also did um What else did he do uh the general's daughter Laura Croft Tomb Raider So this is both accurate Nicholas Cates and this one. This is about um The uh british intelligence efforts during world war two to trick Hitler Um into thinking the d-day invasion was happening somewhere other than Normandy Yeah, it's a big old misdirect Yeah, it felt like a kingsman at first and then it became more of a pressure Where it's like oh, it's about like a this thing that did yeah like an argo

argo I knew Nicholas cage was in this and he still jumpscared me because they settle you in and then Nicholas cage shows up and it was like that and he's doing an accent sure is I guess it's a british accent It's it's like yeah, it's Nicholas cage It's like I'm not sure how to describe it. It's Nicholas cage attempting a british accent. That's for sure Here's the thing about Nicholas cage is I do think he's a good actor. Yes. Also think that he's a guy who has Like Gen Z work ethic where he's just like he'll he'll wander on a set He'll see how much they're paying them and he'll and he'll go okay. I'm giving you this much effort And this one I I suspect he did not give them his all I also suspect That Nick cage he's such a he's been an actor for so long Um basically his entire adult life um And it's been like 40 odd years at this point almost 50

I think since like whenever his debut is early 80s. I think like it with Valley was early 80s at least um I think maybe some of his acting choices are so specific inside his own mind Yeah, that we just can't Like it makes total sense to his choices. I'm sure make complete sense to him Um, and they're just like it's Like when you're starting to speak to like a like a friends group with where an inside joke of a reference of a reference of a reference Yeah, and so it just sounds like madness when you're talking to each other Oh, yeah, I just also think like Yes, that also no offense Gen Z that was a compliment is that like knowing your worth and also knowing Oh, yeah, only work for how much you're getting paid. Yeah, don't don't work for free that take the joker's advice And this cast is filled with guys like that Ron Perlman's in this Ben Kingsley's in this Sure is Uh Michael Sheen is in this

Uh, there's a massive good Winston Churchill. Oh hell yeah I just think this is one where it's like Simon West. I love Conair, but he is not Uh Like known for like amazing films Nobody is known for Conair, which is an amazing film Yeah, so I think he got Nicholas Cage back, but I think there's just not that much money in this and everybody is like all right Well, there does look like there's a lot of explosions and fun. There's a Lucas Haas I'm very confused about what this movie is screened. Did you see had screen Dave? He's all over the beginning Ed screens there. Yeah, Matthew good. I mentioned Um art malloc who is the bad guy from um true lies You'll you will you will simply Dave you will simply never Guess who he's playing in this film? Who's he playing? Ian Fleming What the fuck is happening yep That's why I was like is this a Kingsman because it presents as a Kingsman. No, this is a real thing This is a real thing that happened an in Fleming was really in British military intelligence

All right, the Kingsman kind of Was like they play off real things, but obviously, you know Right I don't know man. I'm I'm in. I'm just like very suspicious of this film Where I'm like, I don't know what this is You got Ron Pearlman is patent. He's playing patent Dave What a fucking weird movie. I know The bad guy from bad boys too isn't it Dave. Oh, hell yeah, Jordy Mola He's Fleming What the fuck I'm into this I'm so into this I'm in yeah, I'm into this I think I mean I have to see it and that's the point of a trailer right to make you want to see this goddamn thing Yeah, look at this thing Director Connair one please Yeah, one please. Oh Tom. I don't know if it's gonna be a movie theater movie. Oh I don't know. I don't know it could be it is it could be movies are back

Yeah, word on the street is yeah, you want to talk about uh Tenzing I do It's weird. They're already it's an apple movie. It's gonna be a movie on apple um It's about the Sherpa who took Edmund Holly or whatever his name was to the top of Mount Everest right. It's about the guy did the work. Yeah, the Sherpa tense a tenzing is his name Do you think a good comedy out of that premise too? Yeah, I think the yeah There must be probably um, I was about to say I think almost heroes of that premise But that's not exactly what it was um Uh, but but but I was my only thought on this is it looks it looks pretty good It's weird there wasn't already a movie about it um, it seems like such a Like when we were making like Apollo 13s in the 90s Yeah, like story stories about humanities triumph over the elements like this this would have fit right in in 1995

Sorry, I got a big Everest guy. I didn't see the Everest movie um There's something about it where unlike space for some reason I see Everest is a necessary Where I'm like just don't go up there Everest is It's weirdly fascinating to me Um, I've never really thought about it before actually until this moment, but like it's kind of scary like it's really grim It's a grim place. Oh, yeah, there's so many corpses um, yeah, and there's there's nothing you can fucking do about it Rich corpses although actually I know um, they recently did um A big a big uh clean up effort which actually offended some people um because yeah leave them up there It's technically a grave site Right if I died on Everest I'd never say that yeah, leave me there. Yeah um But no, it's cool. It's like you think about it. It's sort of like It's like you're seeing the bottom of the ocean. You know, I mean yeah And also it's a it's a it's weird frozen desert up in the sky. I don't know something weird about it that captures my

Imagination. I don't know. Everest is scary to me. I guess I'll say it again I I already know I said on hypecast before it just doesn't seem that high to me right Just doesn't seem that no you can get up there in helicopter probably It seems like and I know why it doesn't seem that high is because it's around mountains that are almost as high So you get up at Everest like I've seen you know video and I'm like well, that's just a mountain range Like that doesn't look that high. I can see other things over there like I want like like you know like mount Fuji is like it's just sticking up You know, I mean right it's like the ones where it's like there's nothing else around Those three good else out get out Yeah, it's like that. I don't know right. I feel like I'd be disappointed on the top of Everest I go up and I'd be like well, I can't see any you want ever is to flex more is what you're saying yeah Um, I want to I want to mountain you can see from space Yeah, exactly Technically, I think you can see some of these from space right but the individual mountain

You probably see Everest from space right That's pretty tall Yeah, yeah Uh, Wilm DeFoe and Tom Hilson is in this and I was like that they look exactly like the kind of mother fuckers who beat Oh, yeah, oh god, Wilm DeFoe especially. Oh man, but they both do Yeah, oh they both do they're both perfect. They oh they both have perfect mountain face Yeah, they're like the entire spectrum of mountain character right there Yeah the director appears to be a real Climbing perfect Is she made Sherpa? Another movie called mountain another movie called mountain quest and it's like all right I got the right person for the job. That's what you're saying. Her name is Jennifer P. Dom P. Dom, which I believe is like a it's a porn hub Section right yeah Yeah, sorry. I'm sorry Jennifer P. Dom I'm sure enough people have made If you mean I'm sure you've dealt with that all your life

Yeah, it sounds like you've climbed mountains and could Right, please Climb me and you're probably a better person than me Probably so you know it's climbed figurative mountains too of Yeah, it looks like she's overcome mountain-sized obstacles of people like Dave making fun of Right, I think some of these are documentaries like I think she's probably like uh, yeah, I assumed Otherwise, it's a lot of mountain fiction. Yeah, she loves Everest mountains Um speaking of love Dave the next trailer is called love of your life Love of your life starring Margaret quality Catherine Keener A bunch of a bunch of scrumptious dudes a lot of delicious dudes. I think Aaron Pierre Yeah, um, I like the premise. It's sort of it seems like it's kind of like a serious more grounded version of high fidelity where it's Uh sort of a younger person like approaching 30 maybe taking stock of their life as as

A sum total of failed relationships Like yeah, that that sort of kind of Naval gazing but a more grounded version of it than is in high fatality high fidelity Excuse me and the cast here is pretty sweet um, so yeah, I like this premise It's got it's one of those movies where it's like I'm I'm so glad I feel like we'll never it's like horror like love stories sappy kind of dramas like they're always a little like you're kind of You're kind of like odd cheese um um um I'm too manly for that But it's like they're always great and it's kind of like this very basic feeling human emotions that we're appealing to that everybody has yeah Um Margaret quality might only know she's reverse patting sent patting tins patting tins paterson's she's doing a reverse paterson patinson there we go I found it you got it you got it or reverse she's doing her yeah either the twilight actors where she came out of the fucking gate is like a Freak goblin. No, we're we're doing playing like yeah, Terrentino film playing the Manson family and doing all this with substance

Yeah, and it's like she went to prison and immediately kicked everybody's asses and it's like okay now that we've settled this I'm gonna just read a book like she's just now like I'm gonna fucking I'm gonna do romance Yeah, you know, she's probably gonna do a couple of those, but I bet we're gonna get more creep stuff from her Oh, we will. Oh, she's not done doing weird. She's got creep energy Yeah Oh, yeah, yeah, this is a you know, yeah Yeah This does look good She's by the way she's in the remake of possession and when I heard that she's in the remake I was like That's one of the few conditions where I'm like okay, yeah, I could see let's find out I can see that yeah I assume that the Isabella Johnny role Yeah, it's her calum ternor and Paul Dana and I'm like okay. Yeah, I guess that's which one Sam Neil That's the guy is the question. Oh, I could see either. I don't know man. I could see either one being Sam Neil Yeah, it's the director of the smiles and the thing about that is I don't really like the smiles, but I don't think he's a bad director

I don't like no, they weren't bad. I don't like the they're not writing They're not badly directed, but he's just lifting them from other movies is the thing right so what better movie to do than a movie that That's true than a movie that already exists very true. I mean, it's like a Susperia where I'm like why are we doing possession again? Like there's no reason to do it again Um, but if we're gonna do it We picked the right cast, you know, there's They do this it I don't I mean I wish there was an easier way to do it with film um Because if we just take it and stride when like a plays is just oh a new a new production of a play is put on It's all it's the same exact same script. We all know it's just a new cast and the exciting thing is oh who's gonna be in it this time That'll be neat to see There was a way like a more Acceptable easier kind of way to do that because that would be like Like there's no reason to there's no reason to remake something like jaws for example, right? But like oh it might like I would I would maybe go see like oh a theater production of jaws with an interesting cast

You know, yeah, who would play it? Oh, I know like that's the shark. Yeah, that's yeah places shark But um, yeah, so I don't know that's and the the point is is um Us being it's it's we're interested in this because of the cast Yeah, I've I've definitely like over the years read the idea of a remake I'm very split on for that reason. Yeah, like there's some excitement There's certain things that I'm like I think we should actually rewrite remake that every 10 years You know like there's certain like and I think especially if they're performance-based like yeah For a Virginia Woolf. Yes, I could see a new one of those when that's cut. That's a play too, right? So yeah, true Um, but there's certain things that I'm like yeah, let's do another one of those like like I get Godzilla where it's like Hey, we don't have to do a guy in a costume anymore. Let's do another Godzilla. Oh, I guess we'll get to that It really it really depends Yeah, that's the thing is possession was kind of remade with the first element they do a few possession

Or at least one big possession nod. Yeah, and so it's like you can remake things by omaging Inways to yeah, homage and influence Like maybe you don't have to do who's afraid of Virginia Woolf because you can just do another movie like the invite, you know, yeah, it's like Or carnage, yeah, I would love who's afraid of Virginia Woolf with Seth Rogan and one of the roles. Oh boy I don't care which but probably that the the one probably the younger guy I mean you would immediately would want to cast you'd want you to immediately want to cast him as a younger guy But I think yeah, you cast him as the um Why am I flanking on his name James Mason? Yeah Yeah, it's weird they have a done more of those Uh, you want to talk about a rested memory? Yes, this looks fucking rad It's directed by a guy named Sabu S.A.B.U. One name and I just really respect that Rageically Not the recently passed professional wrestler the homicidal genocidal madman sabu

No, may he rest in peace? I just respect the director. That's like I'm one name, you know This is a better detective with Alzheimer's. Well, no, no, he gets hit at the synopsis Well, we swear to go trailer he's on a he's on a case. He gets hit in the head Yeah, and it gives him spit like short-term amnesia A detective with short-term amnesia I realized you could make 10 films. That's a perfect. That should already be a scene It's a perfect premise and he gets tangled up in a in a kidnapping in this And keeps forgetting whether he's investigating it or part of the kidnapping crew Um, it's great because it it creates a sequence where it's momentum right? Yeah, but ever seen starts with him having to deduce What's going on? Yeah, who he is and what's going on? Yeah And it's played it looks like it's played Kind of guy Richie in tone a little uh, maybe more um Elmore Leonard Yeah, it's Taiwanese guy Richie. Yeah, it's it's it's I will say there's a little lost in translation

I think because the trailer the one thing that pinged me was the stupid when they introduced the characters with like a title for each one Oh, yeah, and the title is so on the nose that I was like I think this got a little where they're like this stupid criminals The bad ass mom and I was like oh those those labels are they feel so blunt Yeah, that's probably just a translation thing. I think so yeah Okay, but yeah Sorry, you could pay to do something other than guy Richie Elmore Leonard Who's that who's that? justified out of sight Uh, kind of crime writer he wrote get shorty so he does write comic crime But often it gets a little dark or more grounded But it definitely has the mishaps in like kind of over the top Yeah, and this felt a little closer to that because this for some reason I got the sense that this might be and not that guy Richie's not mean sometimes But I got the sense that this movie might be a little more mean than

It kind of seems there's just a little little bits in the trailer that made me think oh this this might actually have a little bit more teeth Than we might expect Either way, it looks like a fucking blast It looks awesome. What a great premise Yeah All right last trailer godzilla minus zero man i max i max the first Japanese movie and i max According to the trailer Yeah, I'm surprised the first one wasn't an i max but I guess that was a surprise hit or something which is like some it's weird because I'm like that is I love when japan rolls out of godzilla and goes like we got this That was cute you guys are doing godzilla over there. Yeah, yeah, here's what that here's what godzilla is supposed to be right And they're always completely right. Yeah, there it is It is really embarrassing to watch like yeah Godzilla versus Kong where they're just pro wrestling mecha godzilla and then you watch godzilla minus one and it's like oh Right and like i'm glad i don't want us to beat that

You know, no, I'm glad both versions exist. It's just really it's funny to What oh you're having fun with our collective national trauma making that movie Yeah, what what was that collection collective national trauma over by the way Yeah, what what event what event was godzilla made in response to You have fun with godzilla fighting Kong now you're now you're smashing them together with your other action figures How making big roaring noises making nice fun zap noises. Oh, yeah, you made a robot. We're our smash smash. Yeah, it looks like a lot of fun Cities yeah a lot of fun blowing up other other other countries cities. Are you are you now? Yes, godzilla huh? You having fun blowing up other cities. Yeah, are you? Yeah, I I feel like godzilla watching godzilla minus one and now looking at this trailer I'm like this really exists perfectly in the 40s. I'm not saying it can't exist another time. No, but it's just watching It's the perfect cuz like I think it gets

It's that thing where it's like I want drones fighting godzilla it loses the a lot of the it loses a lot of the impact the spectacle the weight Yeah It instantly makes the horror I was just about to say that it instantly makes him a hundred times more frightening um It's just more closely ties it to what it represents and it's just the The metaphor so clear in that context. So it's just yeah, you kind of stop thinking about him like a big lizard And you just think about him as atomic death Yeah, it's like oh this is just what was just the fire that burned all these people to death cool here it comes yeah like and Yeah, that's a what is horror like inducing movie. It's such a good move. Oh, yeah That's the thing is this movie. I'm a little nervous about Only because it is we're in sequels and sequels always like that first godzilla I was sort of like I don't know what else you could do

But just like there there is like obviously listen obviously nobody's ever had a problem making a sequel to godzilla You never been a issue never been an issue, but it it is gonna be that thing like they're already in some weird little quantum mania realm in this trailer and I'm like it's gonna start escalating Uh, and I'm like that first movie is just so elegant and perfect that I'm just like I don't know Yeah, I mean this is gonna be blast Um, but they do notably they they promised that this is the last one. They promised it will not it did you notice in the like in the text Oh, there's a text overlay in the trailer where this trailer promises there is not gonna be a part three I appreciate that like they're like this is what trailers did that Honestly, I would that here's the problem with American films is that the trailers absolutely do that and then they lie Yeah conclude the Jurassic World trilogy with dominion and it's just like oh no that sucked then that sucked Yeah, when that a big old fart you're gonna make another one soon aren't you

Everybody like the taste of that fart. Oh nobody nobody like the taste of that fart. Oh, okay They're struggling to make a new one apparently the Who do they get they got a director and they dropped out is an interesting one and they that's right. I forgot who I think it might have been the guy did Uh God's little calm. I think it might have been um fucking gar- no it's gareth Edwards um Yeah, has gareth Edwards not done a Jurassic World No, I don't think so Ah No, he didn't need to rebirth. Oh, maybe Yeah He needs to I'm glad he dropped out of that. I think he he's one where I'm like You know, I don't know give me give I want to just be the giant lizard guy I guess looking at his background. Sorry. I think I was confusing him for some other directors Because I'm looking at his background. I'm like oh, I never been a huge gareth Edwards fan

Like he's a good director, but he did monsters, which was a very creative film But very low budget and then he would write to Godzilla And then he went to rogue one which is good then he went to the creator which I didn't see then he went to Jurassic World rebirth so He never he never he was just like All right, that's this is it. Maybe I'll make it big movies there are nothing else Guess maybe we should watch the creator Yeah Yeah, get our yeah really get it out of our system Yeah, yeah Should we thank producers? Yeah, I guess let's do it. It's a praise day. I it looks like all right More producers big thank you to Chester's profit. Thank you. Thank you. They get a Christopher Roberts smarts sq. I think as much Think of the Dan hack Roy. Thank you. Thank you to Daniel Bryan's white hot hatred of Pinocchio the puppet. Thank you

I was quite frankly out of excuses. Thank you. Thank you to Joe man the annoying skeleton Thank you to the tenant Frank Trebb and police squad Thanks. Thank you to Mackenzie fuck shuffling with Willem Dafoe's confusingly large dick chill Thank you. On top Mount Everest Thank you to marvelous mave Thank you to Mike the Leuquia Thank you thank you to Norm from Cheers Thank you. I think it a norm from Cheers undying love for Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven Thank you. We got news stories boy doing we got weirdly specific news stories

We do John Mulaney is in talks to join a get smart reboot sure That's exactly how I feel sure I have no connection to get smart I didn't mind that Steve Kerr I want it was fun and John Mulaney I like And I'm like okay John Mulaney you're not really in movies so he doesn't also doesn't his persona doesn't strike me as get smart No, he's not like a dummy like a wacky dummy who uses he can do props like I'm sure he could do it or maybe they would you could you know We just saw the the naked gun Honestly Which is they didn't like Liam Neeson is not doing um Leslie Nielsen in that movie, but it's still like this It's a different take on the character, but the spirit of the character is still the same So maybe they could do something different like that that that is sort of playing with Mulaney's image in the same way You could you could do a version of get smart that was more tailored to his image, I think

Yeah, I am shocked to learn that he has 44 acting credits um Some of them are like SNL and like sketches I just think of the yeah, I think you're right about what you about that But I also I just think of the Mitch head bird joke about how like as a standard comedian ages are always being like can you act and it's like being a cook and they're going Can you farm? Yeah, when we all they always ask me if I could do stuff that's related to comedy, but isn't comedy Right, we're kind of an error like the 90s into the early 2000s was like Standup comedy was huge like they were making a lot of money and now I imagine there's a lot of pressure To be like you need a TV show you need to act you need to talk show You need a podcast well I know the standup boon that was sort of the the thing right in the 80s and 90s is you got standup and then you Did your standup routine and you got a sitcom out of it like that was sort of the best way for a successful comedians of that era Or you got or you got a late night show or you could just fucking give up

But I yeah, that's the thing. It's like they gave up But I always was like good for you, you know like now you're doing jokes for grandma But that's fine. You got a fucking regular gig. You're extremely rich You know, it is what it is John Lennie was spider-ham I realized yeah, he does a lot of voices. He's on big mouth, too Yeah, where he's just himself. I don't know. It's all to say that. I'm like yeah, let's do it. Let's do it Yeah, like I don't have this a show or a movie it looks like a movie Okay Let's do it The interesting thing that really struck me about this one is the get smart movie was from 2008 that's 18 years ago Dave Wow, don't say that. I know I know It's sort of like get smart. It's like I'm sure John Lennie could come to them go like can I do a get smart and they're like get what? Yeah, sure man. Yeah, what here here here here. Yeah, it's like I don't know it didn't like oh Shot the guy in the galaxy for the same reason. Or it's just like guardians that sure. Yeah, who gives a shit? Yeah, like Yeah, like it's a good. It's a good idea

It's my attempt at a John Mulaney voice. What was that? We can move on from it. All right This is I'm weirdly disappointed about this news for weird reasons Paul Feege is gonna direct a new Italian job now There's a Something has happened to me. I never thought I'd be a guy Who'd have to say I want more Paul Feege thrillers It's just weird that that's what I like that's where he's become for me But he's my thriller guy. I like his thrillers His dumb sexy thrillers They are dumb and sexy right in a talent job. I'm like that's just time and energy that he won't be making a thriller Uh, so that's my thought bad Paul Feege bad. Yeah, I don't know. I didn't have any thoughts on this. I haven't seen the house made yet Um, I didn't I didn't care for a simple favor or a small favor whatever it was called I thought one wasn't my favorite the house made that there was a negative review

Of the house made that said it's a waterpee park chin look film and that's my compliment where I'm like yeah That's why I loved it It's like a sexy what it's like a thriller and it's like you know, it's not like it's not fucking park chin look Um nor does it need to be Um, like it's not an insult to say that like it's just that thing with like I like a good 90s fucking Thriller I like something that it's like we're just here to entertain you. We're not gonna go over the top We're not gonna be too much too too petty um It's just sometimes I just need a nick of time Exactly, and it looks like he's making the sequel the house made secret It's a series and I don't even want to tell you why it's a series because that's it twisted itself Where you're like wait that's what this is it's a series where that happens so uh I do I think I need you to see the house made it's my watch it. I'll watch it. It's my homework for the weekend. Okay. Yeah

And then we can do a show about it for you listeners. Okay, baby. I'm not gonna promise that Yeah, there's nothing gets like bridesmaid and like Uh spy and stuff. I just that style that advertised style of comedy got old for me It got old for I think it got old for everyone right. It's not that it went out of style Yeah, but this oh this out of style thriller Uh Is like that's my jam. I love what if he makes a new Italian job like a thriller Then I'll be into it less about car choices Then why do the Italian job you might ask I don't know yeah I didn't care for that other remake. I'm not a big because that remake was like look at these mini It's I mean like it's I have I guess a little bit in nostalgia for it just because it's kind of like one of those cute movies that came out during that time Yeah, it's surprisingly good in it. Yeah, that's the reason I can't like to completely dismiss it is that

Norton is weirdly fun is the villain in that movie well And when you think about his career you realize that's kind of what he's best at right Yeah, like his first movie Uh, you know deals with that he quite famously played a Nazi and boy was he chilling as a Nazi like that smirk that like shitting face that he has Like when he plays a shitty villain. It's like Sam Rockwell's a villain. We are like oh fucking yeah He's swarming bastard. Yeah, yeah, Rockwell and the green mile is pretty Yeah It's just like free billboards, you know the movie he won for spoilers Rockwell and in Charlie's Angels That's a twist for Charlie's Angels spoilers he's the villain of that Yeah, I don't know. I just yeah, it's heaven the invite. Oh my god. I really like Edward Norton Yeah, he's an actor. He's he's a locket shit. Anyway, that's nothing to do with this. No Maybe he'll be in it. Maybe Paul Fiegu get him back

Yeah drag Michael Kane at a retirement. Yeah, Marky Mark was in that that was when I thought that was gonna happen Jason Statham wasn't big enough Seth Green Jason Statham Charlotte Starran Most deaf did he decide not to be in movies or did he like punch a producer? I don't know Because most deaf was like for a while the guy where I was like this guy is he's he's his stars Like I know he obviously has success in other In other venues. Yeah, yeah, but like hitchhikers guide and like yeah, even 16's like this guy is fucking He's good He has a house episode Yeah, he was in stuff for a minute and then he just kind of wasn't or maybe he's made you know It's probably gonna look and see he's been on a TV show for like nine years. That's what always happens Doesn't look like he had a movie called Life of Prime in 2013 But he's been in a few music videos. Maybe just didn't like it. I don't know, but I he was a lot of fun and stuff he was um be kind rewind he was good there. Oh right

Do we mention hitchhikers obviously hitchhikers? Yeah Um, I think that's it for news stories. Oh, yeah, you're right. So we can think some more producer. We can Big they get oh shit. Thank you Dave Yo before before we um Come in at you Dave Cruise on out of the weekend Before we get uh jugged over the head during an important bust and can't remember whether or not we're part of the We're whether or not we're a brilliant detective or part of the stupid criminals Yeah, uh, do you have a movie that deserves more hype? I do. I really do My word weird one. What is it? Yeah, lay it on This one boy that trailer It's not like um flashing lights, but it's it's a no it's like it's like

So many cuts that it was making you go like okay, it's basically strobing. Yeah. Yeah, it's called nervous Um This is a weird way. I try to find ones that are out soon, but um I right now we're at a weird place where like I think we're waiting people are waiting for Halloween for the horror movie It doesn't matter. This one is festivals right now So it'll probably release like early next year um It's a it's that kind of thriller where you're not quite sure if it's supernatural or not Seems supernatural. It's about a lady and her i believe husband and they move into a new house and there's a Went serious woman lurking around uh and they and i think she befriends the woman Um and then they go into the attic of the house and they find a mysterious blank record That they play and there's nothing on the record, but after the record plays the woman loses her ability to hear men uh like a 90 stand-up

Routine here like it but then uh it really feels like uh, you know a metaphor So she loses her ability to communicate with her husband while slowly building this relationship Uh with this lady um and uh Yeah, that's that's that's the movie. It's also there's reports apparently the woman around the house There's also reports of stabbing to the area um The the reviews kind of talk about how it's like it's not a twist Like you're not going to be shocked by what's happening It's more about the inevitability that you see slowly coming in the movie So I think that's interesting where it's like you know uh It's more about like of course this thing's gonna happen and we're watching it happen slowly um but that yeah, that's a movie. It's like a thriller semi-supernatural Interesting very interesting idea. It also apparently like the reviews are like pretty high to mix But they all kind of agree the sound design is amazing because of course it is because it's all like hearing things through her

So like the men are really like you know Mumbly like peanut stout Yeah, the women coming really like really crisp overly crisp and there's there's a lot of the sound design stuff a lot of like ASMR sound design and here Um and a lot of great acting Uh is what they have also talked about the trailer shows none of that It's a real like no with the dragon tattoo trailer. Yeah, where you're like I know you know what it is You're like what the fuck did I just watch yeah, it made me think like someone who's gonna get murdered in a club like it looks It's intense it's intense and the spinning record is clearly the motif, but yeah, none of that comes through in the trailer um I like the movie that's described in these write-ups. Yeah, that sounds like a cool idea and what we see of it in this trailer looks really intense Yeah, the trailer is definitely like it feels like it's warning you. It's just a clip salt of imagery. Yeah But I yeah, it doesn't seem like it

I'm sure this is it's a teaser right it's a teaser trailer. Yeah Um, I'm interested like this looks good. I like the idea. Yeah Looks very weird. I like weird. Yeah, you know, I like weird We like weird as I tied with a rested memory by the way for more hype But I think a rested memory had enough views that I was like Let's go with this weird ass thing. Yeah, and that one has a more clear hook too Yeah, for sure So yeah, what is this called nervous? Yeah, I am yeah, the trailer only has 57 views. Oh, yeah, although this is like it's promote horror like sometimes you find trailer I've had to be this is silly, but so I have to be careful about this where I'll find a trailer and it'll be like horror trailers.com And it'll have like 10 views you go like oh no one knows about this and then you go on like the official web page And it's like a million views. Yeah, yeah, okay No one knows about this trailer youtube account Anyway

Nervous yeah, do do be careful though. Um, if you have epilepsy or anything it's It's it's it's basically strobes. So yeah, it's like borderline, but it gets to the point where you're like okay. Yeah, this is now strobing Um unfortunately, but uh, yeah, and I do believe that's a sood Wooo! We have scaled Everest Dave We have and it's not that it wasn't that tall Like when I'm on a plane. It's cooler, right? When you're on a plane. You're like look at that shit I can see like the ground tiny. Yeah Yeah, it's just it's just right there the ground shouldn't be all the way up here That's fucked up and there's a lot of this like when you go to the Rockies or place where they're like you know You're in a really high elevation and I'm like really like you know this town is really high And I'm like it doesn't look high. It just looks like a fucking town I yeah that explains why I'm a little dizzy though, I guess you know like when they're like this is really high Technically, and I'm like according to what?

According to sea level. Yeah sea level. That's a bullshit. We made that up We made the incline on my driveway Yeah Yeah, give me a fucking. I don't know. It's fine What are we what are we doing?
