It's my show and a bulldog.
I don't think that's a very good attitude.
It's my show.
You don't think?
You don't you don't think?
But I don't think you should be button-in when I'm talking to my team.
You're my assistant.
Okay?
You're supposed to back me up and go get me juice boxes when I tell you.
Now go get me a juice box.
You know who you're talking to.
It's a bulldog.
I'm talking to the juice box guy.
You're crazy.
I'm not crazy.
I'm just thirsty.
What are you going to help?
No, you're going to help.
Why are you there?
Why are you grabbing a juice box?
I'm no juice box boy.
I'll tell you that.
Yes you are.
No, I'm not.
It's my show.
It's my show.
It's a bulldog.

Didn't mean to scar Sal earlier with the Brad Park name drop.
Or anyone else for that matter, I guess.
That's right.
The Sal went and said that he
mentioned him last night himself at a function.
So Brad Park on the brain, living rent-free forever with all of us.
Yeah.
We're not there like roughly,
maybe we're guys coming off the saber bench to slide to try to block that shot.
Like I just remember there being bodies everywhere.
Everywhere.
Strune.
I guess the sabers were strewn, strewn around the zone.
Trying to get in the shot.
It was just a mess.
What an image.
Yeah.
That was just like a jailbreak or something in their zone and everybody running around and falling.
Just trying desperately to keep the puck out of the net.
Yeah.
Unsuccessfully.
Game seven over time.
Nothing like it.
Boy.
That is tough.
But then Sal did come around to say something like, let's play him and beat him.
Boston.
Yeah.
You know, that would feel really good.
Yeah.
I haven't watched the Bruins.
You just watched them on the weekend, right?
Detroit.
I haven't sat with them in a little bit.
But the last time I did, and I was reminded of it when we were talking a couple of hours ago
with longtime Bruins beat guy, Flutus and Zawa.
Now with the athletic.
And he mentioned Casey Middlestat.
And like the second line and it's been really good.
And like I watch the Bruins and I see Middlestat.
And I, you know, you know, this is, I'm just being honest.
You know, my reaction is, I'll lose into this team.
Here's Casey Middlestat, your second line center.
He used to be my second line center and my team blew.
Like, you run out, I'm not losing to you.
Okay.
That's, that's a little bit of where I'm at there.
You know, I can, I can also do that.
I mean, last year during the playoffs, I would have reacted that way when I saw Cory Perry
on Edmonton's power play.
And then he scored like 10 goals for them.
Six of them on the power play.
Like so, you know, shut up Bulldog.
Maybe is, you know, in order at times.
But come on.
I mean, it's a lot more there than Casey Middlestat.
But I, you're not, that's not taken me down.
Not this year.
The year that they had come on.
If they get the Bruins, they're not losing the Casey Middlestat.
It is true.
The Bruins finished behind the Sabers last year.
I looked, they were last.
That's too while we were talking to our guests because I wanted to make sure.
I mean, I knew, I knew they missed the playoffs.
Actually, what I went to look to make sure of is that that was just a one off.
That they hadn't missed the year before and they didn't.
And two years before that, they sent a record or something for wins.
It had an incredible regular season.
And then lost the floor.
Two years ago, then lost the Florida.
And they were up.
Two nothing in the series, maybe.
And there's
late in game three.
A big save on Kuchana.
Oh, who is it?
But Brafki makes a save on somebody.

Florida wins that game and then they end up winning the series.
But they were on the verge of going down three-nothing in the series.
And obviously didn't, but anyway.
Yeah, I mean, come on, Casey Middleston.
Well, you can do that with everybody.
I know, it's a certain player because of all we're having.
And I like him all right here.
It's just not, I don't know, it just doesn't strike fear in me.
Like looking, you know, looking at the, oh, no.
How am I going to deal with that guy?
I mean, you got to deal with other guys there.
Maccaboy's great.
Posternock is great.
Geeky's had an incredible year.
So they got other guys.
But anyway, would cousins be a version of that?
No, he's better.
Yeah, and he is.
I mean, last night, he's playing with Brady Kachuk last night.
So I assume that's their top line.
I think he's mostly been their number two center.
But he was up playing with Kachuk last night.
And he's had a good year.
Like we looked, oh, and looked it up while we were watching the game.
And it was like, you know, is he sort of stabilized?
And even more than that.
Like he's on track to have basically the year
that got him the big contract to begin with.
He had 30 goals and like 60 points, I think,
that year and then got the big contract.
He's right on that pace.
Right on that pace.
Like 24 goals, 50 points already.
So probably get to 60 maybe, I don't know, that's a point.
Anyway, he's having a good year.
Like he's, it's been good for him, I think.
Whatever was bothering him here,
he just never was approaching being that level of player here.
It was years, years, years over years that it just wasn't working.
And the change of scenery's done him good.
It didn't, I don't, I mean, they made the playoffs last year.
They got bounced by Toronto in round one.
I didn't feel like it was a win for them at that point.
Like he didn't, he wasn't impacting them, really.
But this has been a good year.
Like that trade, that trade, that, that production,
you would take from your, I think,
from your second line center all day long.
And like I said, he last night he was playing up with,
up with Kachuk.
They had a big injury last night.
And out a while, Thomas Shabbat got, you know, all of this.
I mean, this can happen tomorrow.
Okay, but any night you're watching the game,
JT Miller cross checks Shabbat in the right forum.
And just immediately grabbed, you know,
grabbed it off the ice.
It was right near the end of the period.
So I think that his leaving the ice ended up being like,
his teammates all went behind him.
Because it was the end of a period.
But he's out, I think they don't have a definitive timeline,
but a while.
And that's a, that's an important piece there.
Like he's, especially lately,
Sanderson has been out.
He's their number one D going to say that.
And he's been injured.
And I'm not sure what, I think the timeline is getting close,
like he may be back soon.
But Shabbat, especially without that dude,
has been carrying a lot of the mail.
And even when Sanderson's there,
he's, I think Shabbat is their number two power play guy.
That's a big, big loss.
What do they have tonight?
They are in Detroit.
That's right. That's right.
Gibson is playing again for Detroit.
And Allmark, I would assume,
would go tonight.
They used Rimer last night.
And Holy cow,
the Rangers last night.
I watch, I watch a decent amount of it.
It's Kenny Albert when he's available.
And Dave Maloney.
And Maloney,
at some point you're in the first period of like,
this guy must hate Chris Dury.
Like, he was just unloading on the Rangers.
The home, it's the home broadcast.
Well, I mean,
imagine that happening here.
Embarrassing,
weak,
effortless.
Like, he was just
above and beyond.
Like, what is even, you know,
you're used to it being sort of safe
because it's the home team.
They usually don't get after the home team.
This wasn't just like a moment or two where,
like, he lapsed into being.
He was just,
he went into that broadcast.
I'm going to kill the Rangers tonight if they don't show up.
My sense is, and he killed me.
I need to explain my little quip there.
My sense with the Sabers broadcast is that
if anything remotely resembling,
like, that's, you'd be gone.
Yeah, I think the Sabers do not have an app.
That's how I, that's how I,
anything remotely resembling a hit job.
I share that opinion.
I don't know how it is,
but that's how it's not like,
for like 30 years.
Yeah.
That your, it's eggshells.
So this really stood out.
Like, this would have been,
you know, when there was a game last year,
Ray Ferrero went in on the Sabers.
He was between the benches and, you know,
what was, you know, he was, he was harshly critical.
I would say appropriately so.
This was way beyond that, even, right?
That's a national broadcast, which, you know,
you don't have, you're going to, maybe,
to a degree tell, tell us how it is,
or how you think it is anyway,
and not be worried about, you know,
ESPN coming, saying, hey,
you were too mean to the Sabers, right?
Exactly what it should be, right?
This was, yeah, this is the Ranger's telecast,
and I mean, he was just hammering them.
I almost wanted to rewind and record and post it,
just because I couldn't believe it was happening
on, like, a home team broadcast.
It was, it was great.
I mean, if you're a Ranger fan,
I think you really would appreciate it,
because, you know, what are we, what are they doing here?
You know, like, what, which way are we going?
Obviously, the wrong way.
That really stood out to me last night,
watching, I guess it would.
Yeah, I mean, I didn't watch the game,
but they, they went, their first shot on goal
was like, with six or seven minutes left in the first period,
and it literally dribbled to the goal.
Like, it was a point shot that deflected a couple times,
and just sort of landed five feet from the net,
and just like, and the goal just put his hand over it.
Like, I was, it was so, so weak.
Like, oh, that's a shot on goal.
It was really something.
And they had, I think, 10 shots of the whole game,
the Rangers.
They lost two, one.
Rhymer made nine saves,
and that was one of them.
And that was one of the dribbler was one of them.
That was his first save of the night.
And officially, I only know this from following
someone at NHL.com.
I don't know, Dan Rosen, Mike Moriali, whoever.
Somebody sat this morning like,
actually, they went back and found a 10th shot.
There was a, there was a 10th.
So the game ended with only nine shots on goal, they thought,
but they found another shot.
I remember that Leafs playoff game in New Jersey.
Oh my god, they had like five shots or seven shots on goal.
They did not get to 10.
Right.
That was my team.
That was not a great night.
You don't say,
Ottawa at Detroit, Detroit minus 128.
We also have Columbus at Philadelphia.
Columbus on the road minus 134.
Philadelphia's made a little bit of a move.
I'm not really watching them, though.
No, me either.
Islanders home to Chicago.
Islanders minus 164.
They needed that win over Columbus.
Here's a little, you know,
on a little something.
Chicago, what, what are they on the, what are they on the,
the, the, the puck line or the, the money line?
Plus 136.
Okay.
To win.
They are getting the Anton Frontel is thought of as maybe one of the best,
what best prospects in hockey outside of North America.
He's playing, he was playing in the Swedish league.
The top Swedish league this year.
And their playoff wrapped up.
And he's making his debut on the wing with Pedard tonight.
So I know, I'm going to put, I, I got your on Chicago.
I'm going to be on Chicago just for, just for fun.
Six and a half is the juice, the juice of a hot shot.
New, he's 18 years old still turned 19 in early May.
You see on the list of players, you can bet to score a goal.
They're an overall pick last year.
What's the name again?
Anton Frontel.
Frontel.
I don't see.
There he is.
Yep.
He's the one guy without a picture.
Plus 300 to score.
All right.
Next, let me out of Chicago.
Toronto at Boston, Boston minus 194, minus 200.
That's sizable.
Carolina at Montreal.
Carolina is favored on the road.
I could get into the Canadians there.
I'll go Montreal there.
Yeah.
Colorado at Pittsburgh.
Colorado on the road minus 172.
Tampa.
Finally, I get to that game because of 730.
730.
Yeah, the minus 156 at home against Minnesota.
Not massive.
Minnesota is good.
Yeah.
I will definitely get to that game.
That'll be right when 18P chasing 730.
I'll, I'll, I'll kill some time watching something.
One of these earlier games you already mentioned.
And then I think plan to sit with Minnesota in Tampa.
Our Jacob Sanderson is healthy and will be on the stream tonight.
730 on ADP chasing.
Not like Ottawa's Jake Sanderson or as is Jacob.
I don't know if he can, he would take kindly to being called Jake.
Maybe I'll ask him.
Just try it out on him.
Slip in a Jake.
Just slip in a Jake.
So to speak, even just call him Jake the snake and see what happens.
Jake the snake.
That's original.
Who else you want?
That's Western game.
Oh, we have a spread for tomorrow's game.
Buffalo minus 180 minus 188.
Wow, the sabers tomorrow.
Bruins played a night.
Travel.
Yep.
That works.
That's healthy.
They don't have the, uh, I'm, I'm, I'm now, I'm, I mean, you just closed it up.
I think it sounded like I don't, I heard your phone hit the, uh, I put it down.
Now I'm on my way.
I'm, uh, I'm curious.
You mentioned tomorrow, like, do they have the goal?
Oh, they have the goal scores up already?
They do.
They, yeah, they often don't for the day.
I had like usually, uh, if I look at this time on, on a, on a Tuesday,
for games Wednesday night, they often don't have a lot of the player props stuff.
Plus 4,000 for stage for, uh, the hat trick.
It's not a, that's not a bettable number to me.
I had a picture sent to me of a winning parlay from the ducks game.
I saw that too.
Yeah, $2 bet and he nailed four goal scorers, I think.
Done, Quinn, Benson, power.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Man, this is your, your world.
But I had those two with the ducks guy with one was power and one was,
who did I else also lose on?
Maybe it was the tuck one.
But I know you had got it.
Yeah, right.
Got the over got the saber guy.
It wasn't going to be, you know, plus 125,000 like this one.
But when power scored in the third, I got, I got off my butt.
Like that was, yeah, right.
Here we go.
Yeah, yeah.
Close, close to a big win big night.
Got the one with, uh, don't at least.
So that's good.
Um, what else?
Zedorov came up.
We'll have that interview with the Boston reporter coming up.
13th year in the league.
Yeah, that's been a, that's been a, that's been a career.
Um, he was, oh, he was the, was he?
No, he wasn't the last piece we heard.
I still remember leaving, we're, you know, we're draft night.
This is the, the Rhino Riley trade.
Yeah, right at the 15 draft.
That is right.
Um, so before they make the selection, I think the trade happens.
I think the trade happened right before the draft began.
And so I, I leave downtown.
We're at, you know, at the arena working.
We get off the air, going to Canada, basically for the summer is what that is.
Like, that's late June.
Like, that's, we're, we're moved up there.
Like, all right, it's a Friday.
Here we go.
Um, and start hearing word on our coverage of, of the trade.
And it's Zedorov.
I'm like, I really like Zedorov.
I like Zedorov more than we're still lying in the whole time.
Um, I, I don't know who's had the better career.
But I would have, I like Zedorov.
He was a little meaner, I thought.
Anyway, so, oh, tough.
Like, okay, but I'm getting Ryan O'Reilly.
I'm sorry, I'm, I'm good.
And then it's like this other piece.
And then the radio was starting to fade out or something out of wherever I was.
And like, JT Comfort.
Like, oh, he's still peace playing for the record.
I saw him Saturday.
Comfort, yeah.
Comfort Grigorenko.
Zedorov and a second.
Yeah.
For O'Reilly and Jamie McGinn.
Jamie McGinn.
JT Comfort.
JT Comfort.
Three nicknames.
Good luck with this one.
Comps.
Yes.
That's correct.
I'm done.
I'm just dropping the mic.
I'm, I'm dropping Comps.
How was that easier to say than Comfort?
Comps.
Comps.
Maybe I don't pronounce the H.
Comps.
Comps.
Comps.
Like getting Compt at a casino, Comps.
I'm guessing it's probably more like that.
Yeah.
The other two.
For all the money in the world.
Yeah.
The tree.
I don't know.
Just, I
Jimmithy Timothy.
Okay.
hockeyreference.com.
So it's official.
You know it's right.
And 877 goals now.
Those are his three nicknames.
877 goals now.
Yeah.
Is that like a jingle?
Yeah.
Something of the sort.
Right.
Yeah.
Thinking of the jingle for the cars.
Cars for kids.
Cars for kids.
It's where I was thinking too.
Something of the, is the sevens?
Yes.
Why do you both think of cars for kids?
It might be the sevens.
777.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't remember the number for that.
So I don't want to say anymore.
Wow.
You'd hate to give cars for kids a free plug.
No, I'd love to give them a free plug.
I don't want to get the number right if I were doing it.
Okay.
That's why I wanted to stop because I didn't want to give out
the wrong number.
Jim, I don't know the number, but I know the song.
Right.
Donate your car today.
People do that.
I guess they donate their cars.
Wow.
Yeah.
Living well.
I guess.
I mean, that that's a franchise right there.
That cars for kids.
Yeah.
They must say that must just sort of reap in cars.
They're just probably so many cars have been donated.
Reap in car.
Yeah, they just have what a what a
success story of an organization.
It seems.
And I can't wait to get home and tell my wife I nailed
Comfort's nickname on watch.
Yeah, I'm sure that's a proud moment.
Comps.
67255 Zodoroff, by the way.
Oh, yeah.
Scored in that Detroit game.
I think that was the winning goal.
He's a nasty, he isn't a good goal.
He is a nasty, nasty individual.
He really is.
He's big and mean.
And mostly plays like it.
Thompson and he'll hurt you.
Thompson and Zodoroff.
That's a serious collision.
Yeah, we might see that.
I don't want any part of a neon knee there.
Thank you very much.
Oh, God, I can almost see it.
Yeah.
Yeah, he's he's nasty.
That's tomorrow night.
The standings at the moment would also pit.
The Sabers and the Bruins in a first round series.
But long way to go and everybody here plays tonight.
Literally everybody in the league except the Sabers and Rangers
play tonight.
So there'll be lots of your son will have a lot of work to do
with the scoreboard updates.
I guess so.
Right.
Keeping track of what we want to happen.
Flute Ocean Zawa on the Bruins coming up from the athletic.
