Congressman Paul Gosa returns to the centering first elected in Congress at 2010. Dr. Gosa was built a reputation as one of the most conservative members of the house and remains a strong ally of President Trump. He seeking another term or representing Arizona's ninth congressional district. We welcome him. Uh, Congressman, I want to thank you for coming on today. You control of the White House control of the Senate. Of course, this is something that's very important. They talked about it last night at the midterm, um, convention. What were your thoughts? Well, I think there was got to because there's no opportunity for failure here. Because we know what's going to happen as you can see if that's just into the house in the Senate. Do you have any impeached the president? There are impeaches. Uh, is Secretary just a cabinet? Is this an anybody's little to the president Trump? And that's all right. That little look of the Joe Biden, he took us to the very years of disaster.
That's how long this taken this, this present was good ideas to come out of this hole. So we need to keep this amazing to see what Donald Trump can actually do. When you look back over the, I should say the last coupling years, this is the president Trump's second term. What accomplishments are you most proud of that directly benefit the, the people that you represent? The good people of Arizona? Well, one of them is that one big beautiful bill. The average homeowner, uh, saved $1,700 out of that package. So there's, there's, there's, there's those things that are coming about. And James, I'm working at bill called the last elect because I'm the only one I know of who's trying to save social security. What this basically does is it takes 10% of all the proceeds off our public lands and our public waters and gives it to social security. This is an amazing opportunity to actually put the public in charge of our public lands and benefiting Trump. People here are always thinking about the border security or thinking about the economy. And of course, right now the big talking point is the cost of living.
Where do you think Congress has made the biggest difference? And where is their still room, you know, to, to get things done? Well, I think what we've done, James, I think the biggest thing to me to actually make is streamlining the process. You know, I'm in natural resources and Arizona is loaded with the natural resources from copper, so are a copper state and to all the earth that are now in poor technology. What we have to do is now we need to power, empower those projects to go forward. Streamlining process, the process, the process and allow the public benefits from this because it was an elastic. It's all in the real thing because if you have a benefit from coming off the land, you're going to take care of the land. You're going to require that those, you know, the mining companies, oil petroleum companies actually hold those side of the law. And we can actually instill that in a better clean air, clean water, all those things. So I think the biggest thing is going to be our natural resources.
And we're booming. And then last time this is water. You know, we have to have the less is, it's heated by water. And Arizona is a bottom rung of that. And we need to come out swing it because I don't care for this call out of real compact. We have Congressman Paul Gossar in the center ring. He wants to be reelected to go back to Congress or representing the AZ 9th district. Republican spent a lot of time highlighting what the Dave accomplished over the past two years last night at this convention. And when we look at what's going forward in the president's promise that if you, he's able to hold the Senate and hold the house that could be a $5,000 dividend check to the American people. And he's leading that score to hit with your constituents. You know, I think it helps. You know, anything will help, you know, because of the escalating cost. You know, a lot of this is coming from the last administration. Not all of the, most of it is.
And so I think it will definitely help them now. I saw some chatter on our chatterboxes. And even the Freedom Caucus, whose notoriety is very like hell knows, hell knows, hell knows that. We're going $40, $20 a debt. Well, you know, they're even talking about that. It will help. Because they get the strong economy and people are going to engage in a G&C. It makes a big difference. And you know, I was listening to the administration that they were talking about this. What the economy is based off of. Most of them understand that those without it, a college degree, are booming now because you think of all the construction jobs, manufacturing jobs. And we're still holding tight with the four year college degrees. And so it's just, you know, we're smart. You know, you're a college degree. Sometimes you do. I've been here for, I'm a dentist for 25 years. So that's not for everybody. And I think this is a very dynamic portfolio of food that actually has the jobs. Congressman, if people want to follow you, could you contribute to your campaign? Where did they go?
Go start for Congress. Is it great space to go? Go start for Congress. And then for our newsletter, because I tell you what, if now we're reaching almost 200,000 people, that's directly interfering. Because they're telling people what is going on. You know, why is John Thurley not my best friend? He's not my best friend. He told me things up. You know, and there's ways about doing things. You get things done in the G&C. I know for that. And so you got to get inside the box, but you have to put people in the right place to read the right decisions. Congressman Paul Golds, so I want to thank you very much for joining our Meet the Candidate as...
