Today, I sit down with Zolal Habibi, an activist with the Iranian Resistance and a member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) Foreign Affairs Committee, for a grounded conversation on Iran, human rights, and freedom. I frame this episode as political—but also as a human-rights discussion—and we start with a big-picture overview of Iranian history and the competing narratives people hear depending on where they live and what media they consume. 

Ms. Habibi describes why she believes Iran is at a turning point, and she shares claims about repression, executions, and the ways protests have been met with violence.
