Iran strikes LNG site in Qatar, Trump says he wasn't aware of Israeli attack on Iran

Al Jazeera podcasts Iran has carried out a tax on energy facilities

in the Gulf, hitting major sites in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Qatar says the strikes caused extensive damage at Ruslafan, the world's largest liquefied

natural gas production facility.

Those attacks came after Israel hit Iran's south-pars gas field.

Part of the world's biggest gas reserve shared with Qatar.

Trump has warned Iran against targeting Qatar's Ruslafan again.

And in a social media post, he said the US was not involved in the Israeli strike on south-pars.

Qatar has now expelled several Iranian diplomatic staff, the foreign ministry says

Iran's military and security attaches, and their teams should leave Qatar within 24 hours.

This is coming from Kuwait's petroleum corporation that says that one of its operational units

at Minna Al-Amadi, the refinery, was targeted on Thursday by a drone resulting in a fire there.

We'll keep a close arm. That clearly attacks on energy facilities are ongoing.

The US President Donald Trump says he wasn't aware of Israel's plan to strike

Iran's side of the south-pars north-dome gas field.

In a post on social media, Trump wrote the United States,

knew nothing about the Israeli attack on south-pars, and the Qatar wasn't involved.

He also said Iran didn't know that and unjustifiably and unfairly attacked a portion of Qatar's

LNG gas facility. Trump goes on to say no more attacks will be made by Israel,

pertaining to this extremely important and valuable south-pars field.

Unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar.

He also threatened to quote, blow up the entire south-pars field.
