Is Kathryn Krick a Real Apostle? Don't Believe Everything You See. Ep 197

0:00A gullible Christian believes everything is supernatural and from God. They don't even question it, because they've got faith. And that's a gullible Christian. A cynical Christian believes that nothing is supernatural. There are no miracles, nothing like that happens anymore. A discerning Christian simply tests what they're seeing with the Word of God, and they say, does this line up and is it producing good fruit? Apostle Catherine Crick. Is she a true apostle or is she deceiving millions? That's what we're talking about today, but before we get started, make sure to like, subscribe, and hit the notification bell so you never miss an episode. Dad. Why did Judge Mental Spirit James? Why are you going after Catherine? I'm not. I asked the question. You just asked in a question, and the Apostle Catherine Crick. You know, some people would just say Apostle means messenger, sent one. Everybody's an Apostle if you're carrying the message to the lost, but she's got the capital A on the Apostle, like she's one of the 12th.

1:06Yeah. And that's what we're going to get into today. She is a figure that kind of rose to power very recently through a lot of her online social media presence, and the videos that she was posting. And I think just having a conversation about this will be really interesting, and I spend a lot of time compiling videos kind of a life story of her that I think you don't know. And I think we'll be an interesting conversation to have. I can't wait to jump into this. I think it's really important because false prophets are everywhere, and we need to know how to spot them when they show up. But first, I want to give a shout out to our friends over at Red Truck Men, and answers in Genesis. They're both awesome doing different things for the kingdom, really encourage me more about them in just a minute. All right, James, take it away. All right, I think we should start at the very beginning of the whole Apostle Catherine story. Okay, now millions of people know who this is. Yeah. She's not on my radar. Yeah, no, 100% they do. She grew up in Andes, New York, and she moved to LA in 2013.

2:06Okay. And when she was 22 years old, she had her main goal of pursuing an acting career. All right. And I want to show some of the videos of her acting career before she became a Apostle Catherine Crick. To start off, I want to show a commercial that Catherine is in called Cougar Life, which is an online dating website for making this out. Take a look. CougarLife.com, where the women chase you. No cougars were harmed during the making of this commercial. It's a little shocking coming from somebody who is a self-appointed Apostle. But, you know, we all have a past, right? Let's keep going to the next video. This one is a clip of her where she was a contestant on a dating show.

3:10I think it was called Love It First Kiss. Woo! Okay. This is crazy. I can't believe this light. What? What just happened? Like, I feel like I'm in heaven. Where's the clouds and the angels flying around like you? I would like to go on a speed date with this guy because I don't know who he is. Long story short, dude doesn't show up. All right. The next video that we have is a real doozy. It's Catherine Crick playing a role of a prostitute in a show. Take a look. Here you go. Cheers to new beginnings.

4:19Goes on smooth, isn't it? So, Jonas, do you have a girlfriend back home? Oh, my head, a fiance. Um, does that count? You decided to move in with a porn star. Our parents wanted us to get married and I couldn't go through with it. So, I just felt like my whole life was being planned out for me. So, I came here to start fresh. Well, he definitely came to the right place and my bar is the perfect place to start. Oh, this is going from bad to worse. But, like you said, everybody has a past. Indeed. So, long story short, her acting career didn't go as she hoped and it kind of fizzled out. But in 2016, she later said that she had a prophetic word that was given to her to be an apostle by a guy named Dr. Jordan Davy. And she was anointed with oil on her forehead by him. And it's actually on video. We can take a look at that. We plant the seed at your feet, Daddy.

5:21Do not. We have to have our way with us to serve you. We want the world to know you. We want you to be famous. So that the real Jesus who is full of love and power may be known. And where's the Kuduli Kana? They will not know the real Jesus unless they know you. Do what you please to make this anointing known. This is another gift to make this anointing known. Receive this anointing. Okay, anointing. When I first watched this video, I was absolutely shocked by some of the claims that she was making. That only is she calling him Daddy or Abba or Abba. But she then goes on to say they will not know Jesus unless they know you.

6:26You. Yeah. That's straight up cult leader language. Exactly. And some of the other videos coming up of the deliverances that she then gets the power to do are even crazier. She's slain in the spirit. Exactly. And then she's in another video of Catherine talking about her spiritual father and how he is so Christlike. Let's take a look at this one. You my spiritual father, I never seen anyone so Christlike in my life. He was so humble. And so it clicked to me in this moment like. So few people are pure and humble. And so God can't put his anointing in them. But here is someone I've seen. I've never seen someone so pure, so humble, so Christlike. And so God can then put his anointing in him. This is what God wants to do. It's an all believers. If all believers were like my spiritual father, pure and humble, so Christlike. Trustworthy by God.

7:28All believers could walk in the power of God like my spiritual father. And all the demons would leave people as soon as they encountered these believers around the world. The world will look so different. Soon we will find out that her spiritual abba is not as pure and hard and humble and Christlike as she's making it out to be. But we'll get to that later. In 2017, she launched a church called F5. In around 2021, she started posting videos casting demons out of people and they're called deliverance videos. And they started going viral on social media and rapidly started gaining a huge following from millions of people getting hundreds of millions of views. And I think that we can look at some of these videos that actually went viral. I took a good amount of them and I just put them over here. Views are announcing because it needs to leave right now. And if it's Jesus, please, I did not suspect him from his skew and he's scared of eating disorders.

8:29I didn't know it was a spirit of suicide and thought. I'd attach her from all she has renounced and everything on that list. I break every generational curse off of her. I command every spirit attached. Must leave her now. Thank you, Jesus. Praise Jesus! Wild. Absolutely joking. Let's take a look at a couple more of them. Here's another one. This setting you free right now. Is there anything you wanted to renounce? I want to renounce generational curse. My child is autistic and he has no brains at all. Like we've tried everything. And I've gone through deliverance before and it's just so hard to break this curse.

9:33God is breaking this generational curse right now. A generational curse of autism because his kid doesn't have any brains at all. That's what he said. What the deliverance is for. Let's keep watching. Jesus, his power is here right now. It is time now for your deliverance and your family's deliverance. I break every generational curse off of you, off of this whole family. And I detach this family and you from what you spoke. I declare every spirit attached, every spirit of witchcraft, every spirit of mental illness. I declare on three. All must leave him in Jesus name. One, two, three. Free. I know what you're thinking. This is insane.

10:34So let's keep watching. This one I like to call the lizard lady. Take a look. I cancel every demonic covenant she made when she did witchcraft. And I declare every spirit attached, every last spirit of witchcraft, must leave her on three in Jesus name. One, two, three. No, no. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. That is half reptilian. I don't know what that is. Keep going. I can't wait to hear your conclusions about this. Well, what I also find really interesting about these deliverance videos is that they don't have to be in person. You can also have these deliverance videos over a Zoom call. Let's take a look at one of those. Time for some of these things to end in your life. No, no.

11:36See, don't destroy our kingdom. This is too strong. She loves Jesus now. I'll be up to Kila. You will not kill her. Your time is out. I break every generational curse. Off of you, every demonic spirit that was attached to Hinduism, you all must leave her. In the order you entered her, now in Jesus name. I hear a lot of voices said we tried our best to destroy her. Now she's going to destroy us all. She's too bright. She's too bright. We took everything away from her, but now she's going to take everything away from me. You're free. I feel that. James is getting really bad. Yeah, some of them are really interesting to watch, but I also want to go over some videos of her congregation or her followers addressing her.

12:36Let's take a look at some of those. Hi, Paul. Hi. I order you. I'm ready to go. Jesus. As a general, and a leader of many patients in visit and sub-revival. What are the three most valuable qualities of a leader that you have learned through your spiritual father, perfect, Dr. Jardini? Hallelujah. Praise God. Praise God. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. The anointing is so powerful. It's hard for me to even know how to react to these things, because you're just like, wow, she's an actress. Is the other lady an actress, too? Is she having a seizure? Somebody call a doctor. I'm not sure who's sicker. You know, the girl addressing Mama or Mama?

13:37Well, the next video is one of her followers saying, thank you for laying down your life for us. Let's take a look at this one. I love you so much. Thank you for laying down your life that we may live and be equipped and transformed. I said this before, but it's so important. I'm assured again, like when I came to 5F, I was dying. I was dying. All the medical institutions had no idea what was wrong with me. All my friends, my family said, you can't have demons. That's impossible. And you just looked me in the eyes with the love of God. And you said, be free. So I honor you. I love you so much.

14:38Happy birthday. With this clip, it actually made me really sad. Because I think it showcases the vulnerability and the pain that a lot of these people that are part of this church are going through. And I think that a lot of people that are a part of this church, I don't look at them as bad people at all. But I do look at them as broken people. I mean, we're all broken, but I would say these people are especially vulnerable. And they're searching for something to ease the pain that they're in. And I think that they go to somebody like Catherine. And they're trying to have a spiritual experience to fix the problems in their life. And the problem is, I don't think that the issue that they're having in their life is due to a demon. And I think it can give a lot of her followers a false sense of hope that their ailments are going to be cured by...

15:39If they just go to a deliverance... Exactly. And the only one who can cure that is a true apostle or a true prophet like her spiritual father. So then they become dependent upon that person. Find out more at arcincounter.com. Alright, James, what's next? So coming back to Catherine Crick, what are your thoughts on some of these videos? She's a charlatan, she's an actor. She's an actor who has now found her big break. And it's not on the Broadway stage, it's on the Baptist stage or the charismatic stage or whatever stage.

17:42And of course, people love the supernatural. People love the mystery of faith. And of course, in the Scriptures, we can find exorcisms and we can find healings. We can find people being raised from the dead and demons being cast out of them. And so people want to, I believe, be a part of that kind of supernatural power. And if they can believe that the cause of their dysfunction, their mental illness, their obesity, or their autism, or whatever it is that we heard in these videos, or being caused by a demon that can be cast out, well, why wouldn't you go to somebody like this? I even know people like Johnny Erickson Tata, who is solid. She is just absolutely like based grounded in the Scriptures. And she has talked about, look, if there is something here that I don't know or understand, I would love to get out of this wheelchair that has had me locked up as a quadriplegic for 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, 50 years.

18:47And she went and other people have done the same thing. And when the deliverance doesn't come, they have concluded that either they don't have enough faith, or maybe God is not listening to them. And some people's faith has been shipwrecked because of this kind of teaching. Yeah, and I think it gives a lot of false hope to people who are searching for healing. And when you say to them that it's because you have a demon, which is why you have a spirit of promiscuity, or because you have a demon that is the reason that you are overeating and you have a spirit of obesity, you're not actually giving them a solution to the problem that's in front of them. You're just diverting the blame onto something spiritual and you casting a demon out of them, isn't going to do anything. The issue is that they lack self control. You're going to put them to their food. They're making sinful choices. And I think what they need is not a demon exorcism. They need a transformed heart. And only God can do that. Catherine Crick, or Prophet Pastor Jordani, isn't going to do that for them.

19:49And in watching a lot of these videos, it reminded me of a verse in First Corinthians where it says, for God is not a God of disorder or confusion, but of peace as in all meetings of God's holy people. And when I watch those deliverance videos, or I see what she's saying from the pulpit, and how those people are acting, I don't really have a better word besides chaos or disorder to describe those things. Everyone's jumping up and down. They're screaming at the top of their lungs. They're running across the stage. They're falling on the floor, making funny faces. And they can sound. Having seizures. If we look at Catherine Crick, her whole thing was she came to Los Angeles to become an actress. And I think that she actually succeeded. I think that a lot of what's happening in these videos are acts. I think a lot of people are willfully participating in them because they are wanting it to be true.

20:50But they're playing a part. And I think Catherine has utilized her acting skills. And because she didn't make it big time, she went local and became a celebrity to a congregation. And she started posting videos and getting fame and getting money and getting all of the things that she wanted out of the acting career. But now she's using God and claiming to have spiritual powers. And I think that's one of the most dangerous combinations ever. Yeah. I think that's a good insight, James. And it may not always be the case. Some people in the audience may be actors as much as Catherine Crick is an actor. But I think there are people who are so desperate for their miracle to come true. That if they believe the only thing that's stopping the miracle from coming true is unbelief, then they will just simply let their body go weak. They will let themselves fall onto the floor. And I have people who I know and love dearly that have experienced things just like this.

21:55They want something so much. And it's not a bad thing that they want. They want to be healed from a disease. Or they want something to fulfill the emptiness in their life. And so they give themselves over totally to it with no resistance. And they begin to have these self-fulfilling experiences. According to what they think, it means to flow with the spirit. Yeah, I believe that the mind is a very, very powerful thing. I think that absolutely. We don't really believe things because they're based in reality. I think we believe things that we want to believe. Yeah. I want so true that if I have cancer that that can be healed by God. And there's not really another option. I don't want to go down the road of believing this isn't going to be healed. So I'm going to choose to believe that it can be healed.

22:59And I think that God can 100% do miracles. But when it comes to people who are proclaiming that they alone possess the gifts of the spirit to perform all of these miracles. And then they prophesy and then they say you have to believe. You have to essentially fully pretend as though this is going to happen. And then they are held to no accountability. Because if the prophecy or the miracle doesn't come true, it's actually your fault. Because you probably didn't have enough faith. And I think it's really sad to see a lot of the people who are going to churches like this be duped. And I don't think it's because they're bad people at all. I think it's like I said earlier, they're broken people who are searching for answers and they're searching for peace and they're searching for healing. And these charlatans are providing a false sense of assurance in them rather than God.

23:59Do you think Catherine Crick is a charlatan like she knows what she's doing. She's intentionally deceiving people as an actor. Or do you think she herself is a victim of just believing her own lies that she herself is mentally unwell? I would say that it's probably a combination of both in my opinion. I think that Catherine truly believes that she possesses these powers, that she truly is an apostle. I think she has convinced herself of that and we can tell that by the way that she's acting. I think there's also the other side where she went into acting so that she would kind of become famous, so that she would become something big in the social media sphere. And she has achieved that through what she's doing. So I think there's definitely part of the power that she likes. And I think we see that through so many of these people who claim to be prophets. Why are they rolling up in crowds wearing white suits walking on red carpet up into a crowd that everyone's standing and cheering?

25:08The same thing is happening with Catherine. She's just achieved her fame by using God as her publicist. You know what else is telling is in these TikTok videos. She's showing these live deliverances of demonically possessed people allegedly. While there's the opportunity there for people to donate money and to sow a seed of money to her ministry while they're watching these things. So she's essentially monetizing these exorcisms on TikTok. I agree and I think that another thing is when it comes to a lot of these prophets or self-proclaimed apostles, they enjoy the fame, they enjoy the celebrity status. But if we look in Matthew, we read that it says, but among you it'll be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave for even the son of man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.

26:17That's right. It's the complete opposite of what these people are doing. They're not going to serve. They're going to be served. They're going to be seen and honored and honored and worshiped. Exactly. And have people saying to them, thank you, Mama, for laying down your life for us. Yes. As though she is the Savior. Exactly. Or saying that nobody will know the true Jesus unless they know you. Yeah. That's straight up cult leader, rhetoric. 100%. And I think it's really terrifying to see so many people being caught up in the charismatic chaos of these miracles. And the kind of rapture fever that is happening, wanting all of these things to be true and that all of these things are happening in our day. And there's been people for thousands of years who have been claiming to be prophets, who have been claiming to be apostles from God. And they weren't.

27:17That's right. They were deceivers. And we can see that in Matthew 7 where it says, beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit. That is by the way that they act. Can you pick up grapes from thorn bushes or figs from fissils? A good tree produces good fruit and a bad tree produces bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit. So every tree that does not produce good fruit is chopped down and thrown into the fire. And yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, you can identify people by their actions. That's right. I think this is a good verse to use because here Jesus is talking about the religious leaders. Not just your run of the mill, broken, deceived, desperate, congregant. He's talking about the religious leaders and the false prophets. And the verse goes on to say not everyone who calls out to me, Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven.

28:21Only those who actually do the will of my father in heaven will enter. On judgment day, many will say to me, Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name. We cast out demons in your name. We performed many miracles in your name. But I will reply. I never knew you. Get away from me. You who breaks God's laws. I think this is a verse. That Catherine, that prophet, Jordavi, and all of the other people who are leading these cult-like ministries should really read. Because just because you are having these deliverance videos on TikTok live or in your church doesn't mean that God is on your side. It warms about all the false prophets and the leaders who are saying that we cast these demons out, that we prophesied in your name, that we did all of these miracles. But they weren't from God. And that's what we need to be looking at. Another really good verse for us to read and to process while we're thinking about prophets and apostles in our modern day is in first John for it says,

29:29Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the Spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in this world. And when it comes to people who are claiming to be apostles that aren't actually apostles, even that is warned about in the scriptures. It says in 2 Corinthians 11, These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. But I am not surprised even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. That's right. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end, they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve. And this is right there as well in 2 Peter, I think it is, where these are vicious ravenous wolves. They are like animals that are born to be caught and destroyed, the Bible says, that they are like clouds that promise rain but they are empty.

30:30They are like wells that have no water. And this is very, very, very dangerous dark stuff. Yeah, and I think one thing this makes me think about is just the testimony of Christianity to the rest of the world. I have had conversations with people who aren't believers and they point to examples like Catherine Crick as what Christianity is. And I think it frustrates me because it paints a bad light on Christians that were crazy. I think that there are crazy people in the world. I don't think anybody would disagree with that. And then there are crazy religious people. And the crazy religious people are crazier than the crazier who aren't religious. And I think that the reason is because they spiritualize stuff. They are not in reality. They are out in what they deem to be the spirit. And anything is possible by the spirit. Anything is possible by God and they convince themselves that things that aren't real are real.

31:34And that the things that are real aren't real. That's right. And when you do evil wicked things and you harm people and you step on them to get to a higher position yourself, that is to me the worst sin. That is morally reprobate beyond other things because you're doing your evil while wearing a cloak of righteousness and light in the name of God. And this is where so many atrocities have happened. So much has been done on a large scale in the name of religion, false religion. It can also be done at a smaller scale like with Catherine Crick. But the scope of that damage is getting bigger and bigger because of social media. It is scaling up to a lot of people. And this is the issue that I have with a lot of people who claim that there are profits and apostles walking among us. And the scriptures warn about that. So I would say how do you tell who is from God and who is a true apostle or true prophet and who isn't?

32:39Maybe the most interesting question here James is not just like what in the world is wrong with Catherine Crick. Maybe a more interesting question is if I had a false prophet, a possible teacher in my world, would I recognize them? How do I recognize them? How do I recognize them? How do I recognize them? How do I know when I am looking at something that is genuinely Christian? Even if it is wildly supernatural, it might be God does do miracles or it is really a false deceptive prophet. I have a little five point test that I use when I am looking at things like this so that it is not just my opinion. And it goes like this. The discernment test is number one, the scripture test. Is this consistent with what we read in the Bible? Not merely a wild fantastical thing that is just sprinkled with Bible verses. So what do you think? What I am watching in these videos is not the attitude of the apostles in Jesus in the scriptures when demons are cast out and people fall down to the ground to worship them.

33:48They say, stand up, I am just a man. I am not a God. They never hold themselves out or want another out as you are the only way that people will know the true God, you, Paul, or you, Matthew, or you, Luke, they never say stuff like that. They point to Jesus. They point to Jesus. That is right. And this is the next test. Who becomes bigger with this ministry? Christ or the personality claiming special power, revelation, anointing, or authority? Clearly. I think it's obvious. Baba becomes bigger, mama becomes bigger. And it should be Jesus becomes bigger. So we got two big X's on the first two. The third one is the gospel test. Is repentance, faith, holiness, obedience, and the finished work of Christ central? Or are people chasing experiences and manifestations with this Catherine Crick? I think that's abundantly clear of what they're chasing. They're chasing what is shown in all of these videos.

34:50For the fruit test, Jesus explicitly tells us to examine fruit. What does the ministry produce over time? What is it producing? I would argue that it's producing experience, number one, and then chaos at the end of the day. It's producing a hyper-spiritualized sense of euphoria that these people are experiencing, not actually grilling the kingdom of God that is based in truth and grounded in the Scripture. And I think destroyed faith when these people who are shaking on the ground end up going home and they still are overeating, or they're still being promiscuous, or they're still whatever it is. Autistic. Autistic. What are they to conclude? It didn't work, or that they're so reprobate that God has just looked past them. What is that doing? That's not helping people. The fruit of that ministry is devastation, and fifthly, the Berean test.

35:52Our followers encourage to examine everything against Scripture. Examine what their prophet Apostle teacher is saying against Scripture. Don't believe me. Go check the Scriptures and see what I'm saying is true, like a good Berean. To ask hard questions and disagree with the prophet Apostle, or is questioning the leader treated as questioning God? Well, I think that's exactly it. I don't know if it's necessarily questioning God, but it would be almost the same as questioning Catherine, or questioning John. And they speak infallibly in the Scriptures, and therefore you don't question, baba, you don't question mama. They're kind of like the mouthpiece for God on the earth, and that's when you have cult leaders. This is where we get into some dangerous territory with some denominations of Christianity. I agree, and I think that holding them up to that lippness test is a really good way to look at all of this.

36:54And I would just warn people who are watching when you enter into a place where somebody is claiming to be an Apostle or a prophet, just tread carefully. Right? Examine what they're saying, the fruit of what it is that's being produced by what they're saying and their ministry. That's right. And test that through the Scripture, not just by how nice the words that they're saying sound. That's right. And you know, it's important sometimes people get lost in the love and the tolerance of Christianity, and they think, I'm not supposed to judge. I can't judge. I can't judge. Catherine Crick. Well, okay, look, you're not, you're not, you're not the judge of the universe. You're not deciding her eternal fate. That's something that the Lord will do. But God does tell us in the Scriptures. Jesus says, you should judge rightly. You must judge and understand the difference between what is true and false. How else do you recognize a false teacher if you can't discern between truth and error, between what is good and what is evil?

37:56So we're to judge rightly, not hypocritically, right? Take the, take the log out of your own eye before you point out the spec in your brother or your sister's eye. But the point is you need to discern good from evil. So a gullible Christian believes everything is supernatural and from God. They don't even question it because they've got faith. Okay, that's a gullible Christian. A cynical Christian believes that nothing is supernatural. There are no miracles. Nothing like that happens anymore. A discerning Christian simply tests what they're seeing with the Word of God. And they say does this line up and is it producing good fruit? I agree. Well, thank you guys for watching.
