Freeman was found and shot dead yesterday, seven months after he killed two police officers and fled into the bush.
Police haven't revealed how Freeman was found, but Chief Commissioner Mike Bush says the successful lead was one of thousands followed up by police who otherwise had no luck finding the fugitive.
