An Israeli airstrike hit 7.11 on Saturday, killing three journalists in the middle of the
Israel-Hesbalah conflict.
The victims included longtime Al-Minar correspondent Ali Schwab, plus Fatima Fattuni and her brother
Muhammad from Al-Maidin TV, who had just finished a live report from the Jazeen area.
Israel's military says they targeted Shoib specifically, calling him a Hezbollah intelligence
operative who exposed soldier positions and linked up.
With militants, though they offered no proof, Lebanese leaders slammed the attack hard
with President Joseph Ayun labeling it a blatant crime against journalists' protections
while the stations mourned their reporters as dedicated pros.
These deaths pushed the count of journalists killed in Lebanon this year to five amid ongoing
strikes like the one that took out an Al-Minar exec in Beirut earlier this week as tensions
keep boiling over the border.
