The Jacksonville Jaguars are saying a lot without actually talking.

I'll tell you what we think we know about their plans this off season.

So free agency's going on.

The Jaguars have not brought in an external player, all of their players that they have reached

agreement with with guys who were here last year.

Well, we are going to go through and try to tell you what we think we know in the first

half of this bonus edition and seeing things without speaking.

All right, here is what we think we know based on the rumors that we have heard.

The Jaguars are big game hunting.

By that I mean being mentioned with names like Max Crosby, who we all know now has been

going back to Las Vegas because of the trade that had been agreed to for two first round

picks with Baltimore was rescinded and there's all kinds of chatter and rumors about why

and what that means.

But how that affects Jacksonville is, do they reengage with those conversations based on

the evaluation of Baltimore's doctors or do they reengage with the Raiders and then

offer even less than they were reportedly offering in the first place?

No, no, no, Max Crosby can pass a physical in Jacksonville that he went, went, couldn't

pass in Baltimore.

I'm hearing all kinds of stories about that.

And then the fact that the rumors are that the Jaguars were really, really involved in talks

with Jalen Philadelphia about Jalen Carter, that maybe it was just a phone call or two.

And then you got the tree Henderson situation where he has a house here in Ponabedra and

people were wondering are they involved rumors from very, very reliable sources say that

they were and they had a really, really good number on the table.

What we don't know is what the compensation was that was included.

We know that they don't have a first round draft picked this year because of the Travis

Hunter deal that they did a year ago before the draft.

So I would assume that it's a, that not only is it current picks, but future picks and

then a player or two that would have been involved in any of those deals.

First of all, I think we know, I think the Jaguars really like their team.

They won 13 games, they know what it is, they know a burden of hand when they see it, right?

But I also believe that they will do everything they can to get better and improve.

What extent?

I think it's just going out and getting proven, great players, guys that there is no doubt

about what you're getting on the field, not only in terms of their ability, but in terms

of how well that they would mesh and blend in with this current team.

So there's a lot to continue to watch and continue to monitor.

I know they are stealth, they are stealth, man, because you only hear about things that

the Jaguars are involved in either after they're done or after they're done somewhere else.

Either they do it and it's like the Travis Hunter deal.

We had no idea that that was going on until probably 30 minutes before they made the pick

in the draft.

They was all of these rumblings about it.

So they're op-sec, that's Operation Security, non-military folks.

That op-sec is impeccable over there at the Miller Electric Center.

All right, so the Jacksonville Jaguars have not been as active as people would have wanted

them to be in free agency.

What does that tell you?

It can tell you a lot of things.

You just ain't going to hear it coming out of their mouth because they are stealth in

the way that they move when it comes to player acquisition or anything that is going

on.

I mean, James Glaston and Liam Cohen, but what it tells me is they like their team.

And while they are not the running bat types, it seems like if they're going to move, they're

going to let the talent and the tape really, really explain to them why these moves are important.

And their goal isn't to just swap people out.

That goal is to actually improve the team, not necessarily to make change for the purpose

of making change and taking wild guesses.

They've done well in the draft so far.

And they've done well with the guys that they inherited from the previous regime in order

to get those guys to acclimate themselves to the new things.

With the exception of Brian Thomas Dream, but we're going to chalk that up to him just being

injured and not 100% himself last year, and I'm sure that they can get that back.

So you've seen the Jaguars be able to get production from folks that you didn't necessarily

expect.

Antonio Johnson, Jarrington Jones, Parker Washington is at the top of that list.

Just a Co-Van Lander, just a bunch of got Britain Strange.

I mean, we could go on and on about the guys that they got impact from and including the

draft choices from last year.

So they really depend on their ability to scout match players up from a skill perspective,

as well as an off-the-field perspective with the organization.

And that the trajectory of those players, it mirrors and matches and lines up with their

expectation and their vision for what this franchise is.

However, when you lose Devin Lloyd, who's an all pro this year, and when you lose the

production of Travis ETN, it does make you wonder, now what are you going to do to either

replace that or have guys step up, Basel Tutton, have guys step up, either Jack Kaiser or

Vintrell Miller.

This is the thing, they depend on themselves, they trust their ability, they're not hedging

their bets, they're using all of their energy to get everything out of the people that they

have.

And then if they see an opportunity to upgrade, they're going to depend on their scouting.

It's business, it is not personal, we'll just have to see what happens.
