At Planned Parenthood Care Continues, because they believe your body is your business,
and being able to control your own body, that's the most basic freedom there is.

Thanks for coming on, how you doing, bro?
Good, man, I'm good. Thanks for having me.
Yes, sir. Start it up, man.
We gonna call you JD, because I know that's what all the crew call you over there in Detroit, man.
Big JD. So we gonna call you JD, man.
All-star, congrats on that, man.
20 points of game, 11 rebounds by shooting 65% from the field,
team 160 games, for the third time in piston history,
two years ago, y'all lost 28 games, and now y'all the number one seed heading to the playoffs in the east.
Just tell me quickly, just the change and the culture change that y'all be able to bring and shift over the indie chart.
Yeah, man, it's been great.
I think I always get the most credit to JB.
What he's been able to do since he's came in,
it kind of set like a standard and the expectations to like how he wants us to play,
and what he wants to see every night, we just tried to, you know,
apply that to the best of our abilities, man.
We try to go out there and exceed his expectation and play that our standard.
Yeah, shout out Coach JB, man.
He's somebody that I never got a chance to play for,
but he was somebody that always talked to him, was always silent during our career.
He's just a real, he wanted a real and a rare one at that.
And it's good to see him having success.
Y'all kind of remind us of the 92,000 pistons,
that kind of are, Erica, big, physical, don't take no shit.
Does that mindset come from just that Detroit feel,
or that's something that y'all brought back on your own?
Yeah, honestly speaking, like a lot of people would think,
like, you know, we just tried to copy the earlier teams that Detroit had,
but I think like just to a man, that's just how we feel.
That's just how we play, you know, my gosh, like stew, me,
a sour, a Ron Holland, like that's just who we are as characters.
And it came together.
And like I said, I'm gonna go back to JB, man, you know, his character,
his mentality kind of fit in the jail with everything.
So it's just, you know, it's like a match made in heaven.
Which all practices, I want to ask you this question.
Now, how's the battles in practice now?
Is it physical like y'all playing a damn game,
or just y'all just take, okay, that's my boy, I'm gonna let him go do it.
You know, as it feels good, I'm surprised, I want to know about that.
Now, we get to it.
Now, we get to it, man, we get to it.
It's this, it's the fused lesson.
That's the shit I wanted.
That's what I wanted.
That's how we make it so the better though.
That's right, that's right.
That's how we make it so the better though.
Hey, and my boy, man, this is my guy now.
Kaye, kind of him, man.
I've been knowing him ever since he played in high school.
So that's my guy, Kaye.
So telling Mad Max, hey, what's up, too, yeah.
But I'll, okay, with the collapse on him.
All right.
And I mean, I mean, that was a, I mean, that took away from him
winning the MVP, right?
You know, what do you think about that?
Yeah.
What's it all for, man?
Cause I, me like, non bias, but I do actually think he,
he was more than deserving of that word.
And I know that's something that he, he has on his bucket list.
But also at the same time, he the type of guy like, I don't think he's like
dwelling on it too much because we are chasing something a little bit bigger.
Absolutely.
But, man, I do feel for him and not being able to kind of, you know,
check off that box as accomplishments.
Yeah, that's right.
Yeah, I think, I think with Kaye, he has, he has a lot of time.
I think, I think he will eventually check that box with the way y'all
going together.
He'll definitely have another, another opportunity.
It's just a minor setback for the Major, come back for Kaye.
But with, with having a point go, like, then the chicken stepping up,
stepping up his game and, and have another guy stepping up.
I know the confidence doesn't change.
And I know it with a, with a coach like, with a coach like JB, he,
he has y'all ready to play.
But what is the mindset, you know, when knowing guys, you know,
in order to just, you take a game by game and the playoffs, what is the mindset
of guys thinking that I might have to be the guy to step up to get us to the next round?
It's always been the next man up mentality with us.
You know, the world might look at it as like, oh, it's one guy with two guys,
let it team.
No, we, we're one through 15, one through 18, whatever it is.
You know, that's why you see guys like, unfortunately reduced, got hurt,
you know, then it stepped up.
And he was, that he was our point guard, you know, he, he facilitated,
he controlled the offense that he did what he's supposed to do.
And that's something that the world probably didn't expect.
But everybody in the organization that's been here that's seen him since day one,
you already knew what type of player he was and didn't expect nothing less.
With you, with you, I see, I see a lot of you coming from Philadelphia, man.
I know, I know you have, I know you have a lot of that grit, that grit and,
and, and want to make it out of there the way you play the attitude,
just, just that confidence coming from Philly.
Just give me, just give me a quick, a quick story about your upbringing
and, and, and, and making it out of Philly, playing basketball.
Just coming up, you know, had my mom, older sister, younger brother.
For me, I was always bigger than everybody.
I don't know, they thought I was older.
But that, I was always dealing with that.
I know, I was like, he was the hell, they holding him back.
They held him back three years.
They held him back three years.
Yeah, bring him.
Bring him, so you bring him a lot of bringing the birth certificates to every game.
Yeah, it was, it was a hassle.
It was a hassle.
But I didn't even start taking basketball seriously until I got to high school,
like my freshman sophomore year.
You know, from there, kind of just took off from me,
just, just understanding what work and look like,
understanding what being great looks like, understanding what,
like actually grinding for something looks like.
From there, man, just, just, just chasing the dream, man.
Happening to get here.
And now, you know, keep stugging.
That's right.
Yeah, I started at Memphis.
Now, first time All Star, bro.
And seeing you work to be the number one,
being the big man and number one team in the Eastman,
I salute you, bro.
Congratulations on that.
Yeah.

It's hard to believe that the first phone call ever happened
over 150 years ago.
Just think about that.
Over a century and a half of connections.
What call comes to mind for you?
If you're a basketball fan, either a college or pro,
that a friend ever call you to go on a long road trip to a big game?
Or is there someone you haven't seen in a long time
and you'd like to reconnect with?
The first step is picking up the phone.
And you know, over all these years and all these calls,
AT&T has been there, connecting people in meaningful ways.
This is more than just a story of technology and innovation.
It's a story of human connection.
And all these calls make up the biggest moments of our lives.
I still remember the call I got when I finally made it to the pros.
And the calls that took this show all the smoke from an idea

Planned Parenthood Health Center's Save Lives.
But the Trump administration and its backers in Congress
are blocking patients from using Medicaid
at Planned Parenthood Health Centers for one simple reason.
They want to shut Planned Parenthood down.
Yet across the country, Planned Parenthood Health Centers
are still there, opening their doors to care
for their communities.
That's because Planned Parenthood believes controlling
your own body is the most basic freedom
and they'll never stop fighting for it.
One in four people in the US have been to a Planned Parenthood Health Center
for high quality health care.
Like birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing and treatment,
abortion and more.
Planned Parenthood is still the country's largest sex educator
and a trusted source of unbiased sexual and reproductive health information
from millions of people.
Planned Parenthood will never stop working to get people
the information they need and they will never stop fighting
so that every person is free to make their own decisions
about their bodies and futures.

Isaiah Stewart, let's talk about him.
How is he as a teammate?
Man, that's my brother, man.
That's my brother. He's probably one of the best teammates I ever had.
And it's not even for the pie, the extra stuff that y'all see,
and all that goes on.
It's just the simple fact that who he is as a man.
Like, man to man, he's a smart guy.
He's a guy you could talk to.
He's a guy that's always going to be there for you.
He's a guy that, as a teammate, you wouldn't want nobody else.
He's a guy that you hate to play against, but love to play with.
I wouldn't ask nobody else to be on my squad.
So, yeah, you guys, man, off the court, man.
How your relationship is off the court?
Y'all guys seem like y'all are close, close-knit team.
I mean, the way y'all got the box going for the game,
y'all after jamming for you coming down the floor.
I mean, I mean, is that genuine art?
I mean, is that genuine art?
You know, it looks to me, it looks real good.
I bet that this model is real close.
So it doesn't carry off the court, too.
And on the court, how does that, is that genuine?
Yeah, it does. It does carry on.
It started with like the guys who've been here,
through those years of us losing,
and not really being the competitive team,
and then it's grown.
So like, I guess we could say the core guys who've been there,
like the AT, me, dudes, stew, Marcus Acid,
like the guys who've been here,
we kind of all built something like a relationship
by us being around the same age,
and just connecting with different things.
And then as we've gotten more teammates,
like last year, it was B's, Tim Hardaway,
and everybody, like this year's Dunk, Kevin Herder,
I'm probably missing out on names,
but just everybody has come in and just brought in
to what we're building.
I mean, I think even off the court,
we do a lot of things together,
we do a lot of like players, dinners,
like we just get together a lot, you know,
we have some games, you know, we just do our thing.
Y'all have similar interests,
you spend a lot of time together.
You got to credit that to JB.
Did y'all get a chance to enjoy 3-1-3 day?
Did we get a chance to enjoy that?
I think we got the dub on 3-1-3 day.
Okay, that's even better.
That's all, that's even better.
Yeah, that's all, man.
Back.
Yeah.
You took a big jump this year,
from 11.8 points to 19.5,
and me being an NBA player,
I know that credits to all the work
and the time you put it in the gym.
Can you speak on that?
Yeah, man, I think this summer,
like coming into this season was probably the best summer I've had.
In terms of just taking care of my body,
I think I came into this season like,
it's just a great, in a great space, man,
and then working on my game, you know,
two or three days, just really getting after,
really getting after.
I felt like my mindset was,
yeah, I'm going in a year or four,
but I kind of wanted to like make a statement.
I felt like it was like time to kind of like,
okay, who are you going to be in this league?
It was just like, what are you going to do?
No more, I'm no longer a young player.
I'm no longer a rookie for just a second year.
I felt like I just had to kind of establish myself.
Yeah, you doing that.
You look comfortable doing that,
coming into the season and handling the ball more.
Is that something that you and JB talked about?
Is that just natural?
Yeah, I think in terms of the ability,
I think it is somewhat natural.
I've definitely worked on it to tighten it up
and you know, become a better ball handler
and attacking nigs and finishing it around the room.
But that is a conversation that me and JB had early on,
you know, during the summer team workouts,
he was just telling me the junk that he was expecting me to take
on how he wanted me to be more aggressive offensively
and use my advantages.
And from there, I mean, he gave me that green light
and I just took it.
That's why I was able to take such a big lead
because I don't think a lot of teams knew you had all
that in your game.
Now you've cup bringing it up, going to your legs,
finishing it through them, like a lot of stuff
that a lot of people didn't know you had.
But I could tell you, I could tell you you worked on it
from your upbringing.
Did you grow up on the plan on the parks
working on your handles?
That type of game?
Are you grew up in the YMCA leads like that?
No, no, no, no.
I feel like...
If he was outside, I was outside getting up and down.
I feel like I...
Generation.
That's right.
That's right.
Yeah, because you know they ain't outside.
No more, bro.
Well, a-a-a and feeling out.
And feeling out.
And feeling out.
And feeling out.
And feeling out.
I don't know, folks.
That's all they did was play outside on that day.
I'm black-talked.
I was like, God damn it.
I lived in the middle of two years, man.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
Yeah.
So you came in the league at 18.
Who are some of your OGs on your rookie team, man?
And your rookie season, whatever.
How you ever wanna play it?
I rookie.
Yeah.
So my rookie year, I would say...
I had...
My favorite bet is for sure, Alec Berks.
AB.
AB was...
Okay.
That was probably my most solid bet.
Um...
We had Boyan, Bogdanovitch.
Bogey.
Bogey was tough.
Um...
He was...
I'm Cory Joseph, Rodney Bruder.
Cory Joseph.
That's my guy.
Yeah.
A couple good bets.
Yes.
Yeah.
That's a good bet.
Sure.
Matt has been a long day at work, bro.
It was time to get baked.
I couldn't agree more.
No.
No, no.
I mean, toaster.
Is that right?
Tell him about it.
Goody.
Melty.
Crispy.
It's gonna be so good.
Wait a minute.
What are we actually talking about right now?
We're talking about Jimmy Johnston.
Toaster sandwiches are a fan favorite of Jimmy Johnston now.
You have to try one of those sandwiches designed for toaster,
like the chicken bacon ranch, roast beef and cheddar,
ultimate Italian, or the new Hammond 3 cheese mill.
It features a double portion of smoked ham topped with gooey cheddar,
parmesan, and provolone.
I think I'm gonna add bacon to mine.
You know what?
You can add bacon and you know what that's gonna be on?
All on a toasted, fresh bread.
Oh, I can't wait.
Mm-hmm.
And don't forget you get your Jimmy John's favorite toaster too.
That includes but is not limited to the number 9 Italian nightclub
or the number 11 country club.

The playoffs are here and I'm gonna break down a couple matchups.
This breakdown is brought to you by DraftKings.
First series, Rockets at the Lakers, KD vs. Braun.
We all know Luca and AR down right now,
and I'm filming this early.
But this is what I think.
With this series, this is what I'm looking for.
Game 1.
I feel like KD and LeBron will both be over 25 points as they're slated at.
For the Lakers to have a chance in this series,
I feel like a lot of pressure is gonna have to rely on Andre Aten.
They have him at 13.
I feel like he needs to be much more than that.
I feel like he needs to be in the 18 to 19 point range,
plus 11 to 12 rebounds toward three blocks.
I really feel like he has to be the self-proclaimed dominating.
The name he gave himself.
So for the Lakers to be competitive in this series,
I'm gonna need to see a lot of Andre Aten.
And who I'm taking in game 1,
I'm gonna take the Rockets to come in L.A.
and steal one on the Lakers home court.
Next game, Wolves going to Denver.
So this has been a great match-up.
These teams have met in the last three of the four playoffs so far.
It's one in one, so something's gotta give.
I'm expecting Ant to go over 25,
and yokets to go over 30.
But my key guy is Aaron Gordon.
I think they have him at 16.
I think he needs to be in that 16 to 18 point range with some rebounds.
But also his versatility on defense and ability to knock down the three point shot
is gonna be big for Denver if they're gonna get past Minnesota game 1.
I'm taking the home team.
I'm taking the nuggets to protect home court.
Playing alongside of me, all play off long.
With y'all, with the team doing so well
and making a lot of noise in the city,
the basketball is a big part of Detroit.
Even the rap scene.
The rap scene is on another level.
You got Detroit rappers.
It's basically the sound right now for Hillpop.
With the city on the high right now,
how was that feeling being a part of a new feeling in the Detroit area?
Yeah, it's been great, man.
The city showed so much love.
I feel like the city showed so much love in everything.
All the sports teams, the music, whatever.
Whatever success is coming out of the city.
I mean, they back it.
I think even the rappers though,
like these big shone,
42-Duh, bit the games.
They all show love.
42-Duh, yeah.
They all show love, man.
It's been great, man.
I really loved it.
Yeah, I know I feel good.
I had the city behind you.
You came in the game at 18.
I came in at 18 as well.
And we both grew up in the AAU scene.
But it looks a little different now.
It's a lot of flaws.
It's a lot of money involved.
It's a lot of flying kids in.
And a lot of kids are not getting the opportunities
that we got naturally, organically.
Give me your opinion on the AAU scene now.
I know it's bad.
It's a bad scene.
It's tough to go through.
I don't want to be biased towards my time
and say it's not as good now as it was.
But yeah, I don't think there's too much development
going on in the AAU.
As much as it should be.
I don't hear any AAU scenes practicing.
I don't hear about none of that.
I know guys are doing their own thing.
They're chaining.
They're one on ones and all that.
But I don't think AAU was where it used to be at all.
Yeah, the aspect of actually playing the game
to get better is lost.
My whole Mountburg process,
my third process was like,
at that time, I was coming up with sophomore year.
I played two years at my school and Philly
at my high school, Roman Catholic.
And I feel like where I was at that point,
I feel like I was better than my surroundings.
I feel like, you know, you smartest man in the room,
you should leave that room,
playing them type of things.
I feel like I needed a little bit of a challenge.
So I felt Mount Vera playing on the national schedule.
You know, their history are the other guys
that they have since the league,
which has made sense for me at that time.
So I just made that jump.
And I think that I think it worked out for me.
It was great.
Hey, JD.
All right.
You really took a bet on yourself this past summer, man.
I mean, I guess I don't know.
If you turn down this tension or whatever,
this past, I mean,
you was eligible for a big ass deal, man.
Got them this off season.
I mean, especially,
we know you're going to make, you know, the NBA team.
So I mean,
but shout out to you, bro.
Congratulations, man.
Congratulations on that, man.
But they better get ready back up that day.
I'm bringing strong.
Got them and dump it all in, man.
But talk about that, man.
You passed it.
And just talk about the bring strong.
I want to hear about that bring strong.
They're better back up this summer.
No, yeah.
I'm old guy with a man.
That's right, bro.
You stay like that.
He bring that to me.
I'd be more than happy.
But like you said,
man, just better than myself.
I don't think the team, you know,
did anything wrong.
I think, you know, they just were in one place.
One half space.
I was in another.
You know, we just couldn't come to the ring at that time.
But like you said, hopefully this summer,
we'll be able to get something done.
That's going to happen.
That's going to happen, bro.
All right, man.
We're going to let you get out here.
We're going to be able to get something done.
That's going to happen.
All right, man.
We're going to let you get out here, man.
You get your body ready for the playoffs and stuff like that.
Quick hitters, man.
I don't like to say enforcers because they used to call me enforcers.
I was just somebody that didn't take no shit.
I'm a man first.
You know what I'm saying?
So like, I didn't go on the games looking for problems.
I'm not trying to be for nobody.
I just didn't take no shit.
Give me your top five guys and NBA history that you feel didn't take no shit.
I'ma go stew.
Yep.
I'ma go from what I see.
What's the name?
Quincy A.C.
Quincy A.C.
Quincy A.C.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Quincy A.C.
Oh.

What's it now?
Go, baby.

Am a thick kid, women zhaksa look at it.
Kimberian will be your son after your hearing.

Mmm.
Shit, I have a lot.
I might put you on a jet.
Yeah, I got no. Yeah, sit and take up his back. That's right. No time to make a backdirt. I ain't never wrong with
that. Hi. Hey, uh, this guy. Hey, uh, JD, boy, Max, JD. Now, they, my, I produce a put a
goddamn album. Yeah. But I know you don't know about that. I'm not got no, no goddamn
album. I'm gonna put CD. Now what CD would you listen to? Just nice because they know that
they say the album. You don't know about no damn album. So I'm gonna put this CD. So what CD would
you listen to? I know there's something about some of the whole. I have a big fellow in my house
some vinyl. Oh, man, you never know, man. I'm just saying. I'm just saying. I'm not saying. No
sleep on me. Okay, JD. But I listen to a little more. I probably go honestly, I probably go by
doism. Oh, man. Great call. I'm in Texas, bro. Yeah. That's a great call. That's a great call.
That's a great call. I'm going by doism for sure. What do you do to take your mind off the game?
I'm a big movie guy, man. I'm a big like music and movie guy. So like at the games, you know,
that adrenaline running, it's, it's, you know, you still got thoughts about what you could have
did, but it would happen, whether it was good, whether it's bad, whatever case may be. I'm a big
like music or movie guy. So if it's one night, one night might be like, I'm just chill.
Sit on the couch, keep my dinner. Listen to some music. Or I'm going to watch a good ass movie,
old movie. I don't know if I see New Jersey drive or class class. Absolutely. I mean,
something just, you know, get my mind off me. Yeah. Yeah. So that's how you, okay, you
decompress. You might get you a good movie, a good, a nice little meal and just wind down.
What's the best piss in Jersey of all time? That's one all time.
Y'all got some nice stuff. Like with Jersey style. Yeah. I don't know. I think the easy answer
would be the same. Yeah, if you got a zero time zero, you got the chance to build up the error
and you got y'all error. I'm going to say that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
That was a lot of Isaiah in the uniform too. They just, they just made them a little longer.
It was really kind of the same uniform. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They just made the, they just,
they started making them a little bigger. Don't tell them. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm
too. Those are the ones. JD, man, once again, bro, I'm going to tell you hell of a year, man.
You know, I wish I had no bus access in the playoffs to see where you come from to the player.
You made yourself to be a all-star first team, all NBA coming soon. And no sound how far
y'all going to go. Y'all possibly NBA champion. I just want to continue to wish you all the luck
in the world, man. Thank you for coming on the show. This, you can catch us on all the smoke
ducks in YouTube, YouTube drive Kings Network. Once again, man, max. This is on plug. We'll see y'all
next week. Appreciate you, JD. Must love. Good luck, man. Playhouse, man.
No doubt. Yes, I appreciate your probably. Thank you. No doubt. All right.

Planned Parenthood Health Centers across the country open their doors and provide high-quality
expert health care. That's no simple task when lawmakers are trying to block access to life-saving
care, like birth control, cancer screenings, STI testing, abortion, and more. At Planned Parenthood,
care continues because they believe your body is your business. And being able to control your
own body, that's the most basic freedom there is. So Planned Parenthood won't back down.
