Welcome into the Losers' Lounge.
Had a Straffic Losers' Lounge.
We are live from the toyed lounge
and by our front-range tourist,
towards the official vehicle of DNBR
coming to you after an absolute beat down up ball arena.
The nuggets lose 142-103 to the New York Knicks.
My God, they get embarrassed.
They get blown out at home in a game
where Jamal Murray got hurt.
And other than Nicola Yokech,
quite honestly looked like nobody else
wanted to be out there.
We got a lot to talk about.
We'll have Brettonville coming to you live
from ball arena in a little bit.
Really curious to see what David Adelman and the players
have to say after this game.
But we got a lot to go over.
I'm Harrison Wind, God DeLine with me.
Yeah, man, I got the emotional bends today.
That was a crazy night, man.
The highest high to the now,
I'm at the neiderious, neider.
It's only one thing to do at a time like this.
It's of course to pick up my old habit.
Smoking a wet, live cigarette
to get me through this goddamn game.
This post-game, I don't know if I'm gonna talk.
I'm just gonna be over here sucking on the cigarette.
I mean, should you just light it up at this point?
Like, can we light it up?
I don't think we've ever lit the wet,
limp cigarettes tonight might be the night to do that.
It might be too wet, probably is too wet.
Like I said, an absolute beat down.
Nuggets lose one, 42, 103.
Let's get into a little fast recap
and then we'll go into our big takeaways.
There were such huge emotional swings in this game tonight.
And it started before the game
and that's what you're talking about.
You know, we had a nugget takeover
at ballerina's night, you were there.
And it was an incredible night for a takeover
at least leading up until the game
because Aaron Gordon was back.
Aaron Gordon returned, he started,
he got a unbelievable introduction
and an ovation right before the game tonight at ballerina.
And not just Aaron Gordon,
the nuggets had their starting five back
for the first time since November 12th.
That was the 11th game of the season.
That was the last time the nuggets had their starting five back.
They were together again tonight,
Jamal Murray, Christian Brown,
Cam Johnson, Aaron Gordon, Nikola Yokic.
My real first know the game,
it was a pretty loud start from AG.
Fired up a couple of threes early on, missed them,
but then came down the lane
with a pretty thunderous dunk that got everybody going
and it's really hard to imagine,
but the vibes at that moment were pretty electric.
Like the nuggets were back at that point.
The energy was unbelievable.
The body language was great.
CB hit an early three.
Jamal Murray was cooking early on.
Murray had nine in the first quarter as well.
Yok was playing well.
Nuggets were up 29, 27 after the first quarter.
And then in the second, the wheels start to fall off.
A really interesting move by David Ottoman.
You know, Aaron Gordon first came back.
It seems like he was on about a 20 minute limit,
played 21 minutes.
Start at the second quarter at backup center.
Uh-huh.
Maybe that was to match up against towns.
I'm not sure.
There was a there was a moment where I was like,
why are we playing so small and Val was in the locker room?
He was in the locker room.
Interest.
I think he was just like going to the bathroom
because then he came out as soon as he came out,
they put him in.
Huh.
Oh, I wonder if Brennan both can have anything to say about that.
Weird timing, considering he always goes in at the start
of the second quarter.
I don't know, but AG was in there at backup center
to start the second.
And that's kind of where the wheels came off.
Nuggets defense was awful.
Transition defense was terrible.
Half court defense was terrible.
They were playing a zone a little bit.
That didn't work either.
They got beat up on the glass.
And like I said, second quarters,
when things really start to unravel,
they lost that second quarter, 38, 23.
They go into halftime and into the third quarter,
they were ice cold from three in the first half
and that just continued.
They could not buy a three pointer.
And meanwhile, the nicks weren't that hot
throughout the game either from three,
but they hit enough and they hit a bunch
in garbage time as well to just build a lot of separation.
And then I missed this, but right before halftime,
the biggest news of the night probably,
Jamal Murray gets hurt,
sprains his ankle on a play where
he actually stepped on Nicole Yokic while backpedaling,
walked to locker room under his own power,
looked to be in a lot of pain right when it happened.
And then was able to walk to locker room seemed okay,
but obviously didn't return to the game.
No real word on that yet.
But the second half was a disaster.
Nuggets gave up 40 points in the third,
37 and the fourth.
It honestly looked like nobody except Nicole Yokic
wanted to be out there.
So other than the excitement of Aaron Gordon's return
and absolute disaster tonight, Nuggets lose one,
42, 103.
Let's go to our Red Hawk Roofing Bay takeaways.
Should I go first, do you want to go first?
Probably you, yeah.
Right, Caleb turns out he won't take the graphic down
unless you officially throw it to me.
Otherwise this is a stay up for it.
Do you want your first?
We found this out last night.
All right, what can you say after a game like that?
You know what?
Let's get a cycle one in there.
Oh my double wet lip singer it.
This has never been done before.
Let's get this out.
Listen, man, it wasn't good.
But what I'll say is that what we just got hit,
the city of Denver got hit with an avalanche today.
One was good and one was not good.
The good one is the team.
They got Nazim Kodry.
Should we just do this in an av show?
I mean, I'm kind of down for that.
And they won, they beat the stars.
It was a big deal.
You love when your team goes all in.
So that was the good avalanche.
The bad avalanche was what happened
from the three quarter mark of the second quarter
through the end of the game where it just got worse
and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse
because the nicks, it really enjoyed the blood and the water.
The nuggets were shell shocked after losing Jamal Murray.
They were just absolutely shell shocked.
It was actually a crazy game
because the nuggets, if things had gone differently
for them early, the nuggets came out early.
They controlled play.
They were kind of doing what they want.
They obviously had the big boost
from Aaron Gordon being back.
The crowd was swelled.
I mean, it just felt like things were happening
and they were.
They were moving with intention
and you saw the starting five,
the opening day starting five together again.
Something I didn't think I'd ever see
and it just started off good
and then it just kind of got bad.
All right, it just kind of slowly chipped away
because the nuggets have never been colder from three.
They were shooting 11% from three
in the first half off
and they were missing wide open looks
that they were generating.
Like their offense was humming.
They were generating wide open looks.
They couldn't knock any of them down
and then that just turned into runouts for the nicks.
The transition defense got picked apart
but and then once Jamal Murray went down, it was over.
The avalanche was on.
Like they were just tumbling down the hill.
You can't really look.
I mean, it's real fog of war stuff that second half.
It's not even worth really analyzing it
other than just to say like I never want to even think
about that half again.
Like I think that the nicks are kind of scummy
about the way they went about their business tonight
but like whatever that's how it works.
It was a weird thing though.
Like the nuggets looked like they were going
to be the team in control.
It was going to be a tight game
but it was going to go back and forth
and I've just never seen them miss so many three.
I don't know if they were like all,
they went from like super uninspiring,
low pressure games to like this huge emotional jump
with not only cam but AG coming back
and like they couldn't deal with the adrenaline
or something because no one could hit three, no one.
And it killed them, it absolutely killed them
and then the avalanche was on.
And not the good one, not the cadre one, the bad one.
When did Jamal Murray get hurt in this game?
At the end of this, right at the end of the second half,
going into halftime, it was like a minute left.
It was like, all right, they're down nine.
Nuggets are down nine.
We just got to kind of hold it, come back out.
The three point shooting is going to normalize.
Nuggets shoot 11% in the second half.
And then Jamal Murray got hurt
and it was over, over.
Nuggets were down 63, 52.
When Jamal Murray left the game,
so down 11 with Ann Noble at the line.
So pretty much down 65, 52 when he left the game
with 105 left, down 13.
And then yeah, they just kind of gave up.
And that was my Red Hawk roofing,
they take away from this game.
The compete level was non-existent.
It was shell shocked.
Maybe they were, you know what I'm telling you,
they were like, maybe they were a little shell shocked
after this year of injuries.
That's the point that just came back.
Four or five starters hurt for significant portions
of the season, Jamal Murray, the only guy
that doesn't get hurt.
And then Jamal Murray in this game goes down.
And I do wonder if there was just a shocking aura
around that where guys couldn't recover
because that's what it seemed like
from that point forward.
This team didn't want to be out there in the second half.
No, other than the Cole Yokuchu,
I thought played very well tonight and played hard
and was locked in for the most part.
You played an amazing game, I thought.
Other than him, it didn't really seem like anybody else
wanted to be out there.
Maybe nobody else wanted to get hurt.
Dude, I'm telling you, it's not just that Jamal got hurt,
but guy, like important cog in the Nuggets Machine,
you can't lose Jamal Murray or other All-Star.
But it's not just that he got injured.
He got injured in a way that, first off,
he required the team to come over and help him up
and walk him off, holding him up.
It's good to hear that he eventually got under his own power.
But it's right after everyone comes back.
This is one of these moments where you're like,
all right, I don't know if I'm a spiritual person or not.
I don't know what I believe,
but tonight, I believe in God.
I believe in Him and He fucking hates us.
I mean, I don't have a counter to that.
I don't have a response to that.
The basketball god, I'll say the basketball god.
The basketball gods.
I do believe in the basketball gods.
I believe in them assuredly and they do not like us.
This is not like, oh man, that's crazy.
This is insane.
Like, yokets gets hurt, right?
What happens next game?
Which is already absolutely insane
because the guy never gets hurt.
What happens to the next game?
You remember?
Val gets hurt.
Right, right, right.
Obviously, Cam Johnson gets hurt.
I mean, that was part of it.
Looking back on it, it would have been weird
if he'd never got hurt.
That was in his contract.
Yeah.
And Aaron Gordon, of course, got hurt.
Came back, got hurt.
Yeah.
Christian Brown got hurt, came back, got hurt,
or just went back out.
Yeah.
And now it's finally like, okay, the god,
the skies have parted.
It's not gonna be like it was, guys.
We finally made it through.
And it's just like, you're, it's real sissophisy indeed.
Like, we got the rock to the top.
And then we just, it just rolled back like,
but not only did it roll back on us,
but like, like our pants fell down
and like our grandma saw it.
Everyone, our classmates were looking at it.
And the, and the big bowl that rolled over our testicles
and everyone was laughing.
I mean, that is all true.
100% true, all that happened.
They were kind of blowing the game
before that Murray injury though.
Well, but I'm telling you, like,
it's because they were shooting 11% from here.
Yeah, but that's something that happens in the NBA game.
I mean, I've never seen them shoot like that.
The Knicks were also shooting terrible.
Well, I know, but I'm saying like, if,
they had to have like that before too.
I mean, that happens.
They're at 8%.
That's happened in a half.
I swear to God, I've never seen that big in that love.
It's definitely happened in a half.
But you can't wait, they didn't win that game either.
I mean, like, you can't survive that.
Like it, it can happen, but you can't survive that.
All I'm saying is that, look, there's 19 games left
in the season.
We're expecting everything to turn around it.
And I still think it can't.
You know, I think when this team does get whole again
and they get through this really
treacherous part of the schedule,
we didn't even get to one post game
where we get to one quarter.
Where we didn't have to say when we're whole again.
We had one quarter, we had one quarter.
Dude, when we're whole again.
But the defense looked awful tonight.
You know, pretty much this entire game,
you know, definitely starting in the second quarter.
The transition defense was bad.
The rebounding was bad.
And I mean, it does bring up more questions.
I think going back to what I was saying earlier
about the compete level on some nights.
Like, is this team motivated on some nights?
No, tonight just doesn't seem like they were motivated
at all against the jazz.
Didn't seem like they were motivated at all.
I mean, for sure, I just can't even put this on motivation,
though, because I just watched like where it started
and like the start.
I mean, yes, they were down 11.
But you know, it's like, it's an NBA game.
It's like, yeah.
But like after that Jamal Murray injury, it was over.
And I was in the arena and it was like,
it sucks because like, you know, like we're having
that takeover and everybody's cool.
And you know, I want to talk to everybody and, you know,
have fun and joke.
But like as soon as Jamal got hurt, like I mean,
I don't think I spoke for about half an hour
until I got back here.
Like I, it's just, I just feel like I got punched so hard
in my teeny little weenie over and over.
Like why?
Why is it going to be like that, man?
Can't we have anything?
What did we do?
We, we're, we're Denver, man.
We're not one of these, we're not Los Angeles.
We don't fly too close to the sun.
What have we done?
Give us a sign.
We got to know that $2 bill.
What else do we have to do?
Do we have to fire kill?
I'll do it.
I don't care.
Give me a sign.
Well, if you want a sign, like we couldn't watch
a quarter of the game because the satellite went out.
So maybe that was a sign tonight.
Because of that blizzard you were talking about earlier.
Let's hit a break.
We got a lot more to get to on the other side.
We'll talk about some players.
We'll go around the association.
We've also got bread and a vote live from ballerina
calling in in a little bit.
We'll get to all of that right after this.

All right, we're back here in the Losers Lounge.
Harrison Wanderer, Queetam.
After it absolutely clobbering 142.103,
I want to go back to the beginning of the game
because we thought Aaron Gordon was going to play.
He did.
He did play.
What was the ovation like in the arena?
I said on the pre-game because we didn't know
if he was going to start or come off the bench at the time.
I said in the pre-game, I hope he was going to start
just so he could get the pre-game introduction.
It was so loud in ball arena.
You could not hear any of the announcement.
Brilliant.
Wow.
You couldn't hear any of the announcement.
It was so loud and Aaron Gordon?
Yes.
Wow.
And he just went out to the crowd.
He acknowledged them.
He embraced them.
He looked very thankful to be out there.
He was the first, one of the first people out warming up.
Maybe the third person out, but he was out there working a lot.
Came with his nephews.
It was just like a really cool scene.
Everybody was just very excited about seeing him back.
And that's what I say.
I feel like it was so electric.
Yeah.
And the nuggets are coming from,
like the last game was this season's version of electric.
And it was not actually, it was just kind of, you know, whatever.
It would be a terrible Lakers team.
So we won.
It was cool.
But it was like, you know, it didn't have energy.
It didn't have a spark going through it.
There was a spark.
Yeah.
And I feel like it just messed them up.
Like it messed up their endocrine system.
They could be played well.
I know, but they couldn't shoot.
That's the part.
They couldn't handle the skill part of it.
They were very physical.
They were very fast.
They were rotating.
They were, I mean, they were, that's what I was saying.
They were driving play.
Like they were, they were, they were the aggressors.
And it looked great.
But they just, they could not shoot.
Yeah.
And that damned them.
It really damned them.
They went out to get another big league.
I think they were up 15, if memory serves in the first quarter.
And it just like, obviously slowly went down and down and down.
But it's like, you saw that same thing happened the night previous
against the Lakers.
And how do they end every terrible run with a three, a big three?
That stops the momentum and turns it.
And there was, that never happened one time.
Like not one, there were all these moments where it's like, oh my God,
we need it.
We need it.
Nope, nope, nope.
Oh, we need it.
We need it.
Nope.
Oh, not only we not get it.
It's a run out.
And somebody's somebody probably Mitchell Robinson is dunking on someone.
Yeah.
They also could not get any rebounds.
They got badly out rebounded in the first half.
I don't know what it shook out to be.
But in the first house, they were getting dominated on the boards,
which was damning as well.
But again, like they could just shoot this game would have gone so different.
And now, like, I don't even, I don't know what I'm hoping for now.
Like we're back into the shit.
Just like that.
We clawed our way out.
We got through, you know, waiting for our team to be whole.
They have the team to be whole.
They be game whole.
And then we fell into a hole.
Again, back down in the shit.
When I think they're out, it pulls me back in.
I don't want to smoke any wet, more wet limp cigarettes, dude.
I am 47.
Get through this.
Am I doing just hearing a word from kale that mercury is in retrograde.
Of course, it's goddamn retrograde.
I mean, obviously, obviously.
I hate that dude.
I am so over that.
What is this?
I need an explanation.
Like I need Adam Silver on the phone.
There's something not only with Adam was bringing this up.
Like, why are we having back-to-back to sleep in the season?
Well, I mean, we got to fit in the season.
Why are we having back-to-back to sleep in the season?
We got to fit in the plan tournament.
Two sets of back-to-backs this week.
Yeah.
What is that?
I mean, it's cool.
It's cool.
Yeah.
God.
Oh, it's so disgusting, dude.
Like, I'm just...
To my core.
To my core.
To my core, I am disgusted.
I'm like, so beaten down, man.
Like, you can only keep on the happy face and like the stiff upper lip for so long.
But like, honestly, you get out and you keep getting shoved back.
It is a certain point you're like, I get it.
I get it.
I get it.
All right.
Fine.
Fuck me.
Right the report, dude.
This whole thing's a report.
Report yourself, Kale.
Give me some chicken.
I just kind of want to let you keep cooking.
Dude, I'm in a bad spot, man.
I had a bunch of candy at the game.
I didn't really have a proper dinner.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That happens.
Let's go over a couple players.
Nicole Yokic, 38 points in this game.
14 of 21 shooting.
He was one of seven from three.
Which means he was almost perfect from two.
13 of 14.
Dude, he didn't miss any shot.
Unless it was from three.
And he didn't make any of them.
He didn't make one, maybe.
Yeah.
God, David.
He was pretty incredible.
It was incredible.
It was incredible.
It was incredible.
He only played 31 minutes in score 38 points.
He and me was the only guy who looked like he wanted to be out there.
That's the thing, dude.
Yokic is truly unflappable.
Everyone else got flapped.
Yeah.
Other than him, you know, not just only had three other guys in double figures, you know,
Tyron Holmes got 11 points.
He got there in garbage time.
Jamal Murray finished with 12 points, 5-10 shooting before he left with that injury.
And he was kind of cooking before he got hurt.
He had nine points, I believe, in the first quarter, one away from a flurry.
And then, you know, Cam Johnson, 10 points.
He was the other guy in double figures, 4-7 shooting.
Pretty out inspiring game from him, though.
Did anything else stand out to you in person?
No.
No.
No.
Not one thing.
David Roddy played.
I was like, that's cool.
Yeah.
And then everything else, I was like, can this be over?
Like, what are we doing?
Why are we still playing?
Like, we're just waiting for somebody else to get hurt?
There was nothing.
There was not one other thing of remark.
What kind of candy do you have?
Oh, I got it.
One of those cones.
It was a mix of Sarah Patch Kids and Mike and I.
Candy Variety cone.
Yeah, because if you go to the hot nut stand, they'll sell you also.
You probably don't hit that hot nut stand.
I don't.
I go there every time in a while.
I think most people think of it as a churro stand.
But churros aren't for me.
I go for the hot nuts.
Gotcha.
Or actually, what I do, I think I have a little bit of Mike.
Do you want someone to get some left right here?
Yeah, maybe in the next break.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I had a couple laughs until again, Jamal Murray went out.
Then nothing was funny.
Yeah.
Nothing will ever be funny again.
Bro, it's just, it's not fair, man.
It's not fair.
Yeah.
Big Val played two minutes in this game.
I'm really curious to hear from Brendan about what exactly happened with Big Val.
Because, like I was saying in the fast breakdown, Aaron Gordon starts the second quarter at Backup Center.
You observed that Big Val was not on the bench during that portion.
He came in, played two minutes in the middle of that quarter, didn't play again.
I thought he did well in those two minutes.
In those two minutes.
Yeah.
He probably was not a minus, wasn't he?
He's a minus four.
You got to rebound.
Here's the issue is like the Knicks found very clearly that they can play just the alley up game with Mitchell Roberts.
Well, that was another team in this game.
You know, like it's one to a lot of small lineups, A.G. at center.
I mean, it's not like they have a lot of traditional power forwards outside of Zignaji.
Yeah.
He's actually their only traditional power forward other than Aaron Gordon.
Spencer Jones.
He's even more of a three, I feel like.
You think?
Traditionally, yeah.
I think he's big guy.
He's only like six six.
He's really guy.
He's big.
He's not tall.
Tall to talk through two cigarettes.
I got to tell you.
I don't know if people usually try this.
But that was another team of the game.
I mean, the Knicks out rebound.
Oh, they 50, 31.
You know, they pounded them.
They out physicaled them in a way.
I mean, obviously, like, it wasn't great in the first half.
And a lot of it.
Yes.
People were just yamming on Mitchell Robinson was yamming on Yoke his head.
Like, you did it like five times, six times.
And there was no hope to defend it.
And I thought when Bell came in, he actually bodied up Mitchell Robinson pretty well.
Not a rebound.
Yeah.
But I don't know why he only picked for two minutes.
Like, I don't know what the hell.
This is, I mean, I listen.
I don't know what there is to gain from this, a game like this,
because I really don't think that you were playing with people that were.
Like, I don't think that there's anything that David Adelman could have done to win this game.
But really, you don't think there's anything you can do to even just motivate his guys to play.
After Jamal Murray.
Okay.
After Jamal.
No, it was a, it was just like, they were thunderstruck.
Like, truly, they, I'm just telling you like they.
The body language.
It wasn't even like they were down.
Well, the body language was terrible.
They looked like they were cooked.
They looked like they were done.
They were cooked.
Yeah.
They were done.
And so did David Adelman.
Yes.
So maybe he was caught up in that shell shock as well.
He was.
His face was bright red.
He looked like, I mean, just like, look foolish out there, frankly.
And you can't make sense of a lot of the decisions that were being made.
But I don't care.
You know, like, I don't, it doesn't matter.
It just, it just doesn't matter.
To me, this tonight is like the only real conversation is,
number one, Yokech is back.
His touch is back.
And Yoke tonight looked like a guy who could give you 50 points, you know.
Yokech was decidedly back.
Yep.
He looked incredible.
And he, again,
when the bottom fell out and where our horror show began,
Yokech did Yokech things.
He's like, you know what?
All right.
Fine.
Get on my back.
Let's go.
That was remotely close to being able to hang with him.
No one had the energy.
No one had the stamina.
No one had the nerve.
No one had the fortitude.
And I don't know if I blame them for that or not.
Like, I don't, like, because it was emotionally, like, jarring.
And I was, you know, again, I was jacked up.
Like, you would have shot 010 from 3 also.
Can you, like, yes, me.
D-line.
Yeah.
In a night, like tonight, with my endocrine system going,
and absolutely nothing but I would have over 10.
Um, it's just so, you know, again, like, I just feel like we,
if anyone has any suggestions, like smudge sticks,
I mean, that feels like child's play.
Ariana, if you're watching, like, do we need to do something?
That's what I'm saying.
Like, personally, do we need to do something?
Do we have anyone in to rid the nuggets of whatever?
Do we have anyone in the unit?
We, yes, we need someone in our universe to perform an exorcism
on the nuggets aura.
They have a poltergeist in their aura.
And we're being punished for it.
Yeah.
So I don't even know what else to say about this game, frankly.
Well, let's hit another break.
Um, on the other side, we can kind of turn the page and look ahead.
Uh, because we are in statement a week.
I don't know if you know Adam says no.
We're not.
We started early.
Uh, Adam wins statement week start.
Tell us he's in the chat.
I thought it started with all these good games against good teams.
I did do it.
I said it.
This became a whole point of content.
He cleared me in a way that I was doing.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I got that information from our Twitter feed.
I thought.
Oh, that's good.
That means it hasn't started yet.
All right.
That makes me feel better.
Let's hit another break.
We'll also go around the association.
We'll catch up with Brendan Vote live from ballerina as well.
After this.

Toyota is the official vehicle of DNVR.
We'll have Brendan Vokalen in pretty soon from ball arena as well.
Should we go to our Xfinity X factor?
Let's fire up our Xfinity X factor.
Our Xfinity X factor presented by Xfinity.
I mean, it's Aaron Gordon,
and he comes back in this game.
We thought he'd give the nuggets a really nice emotional boost.
And he absolutely did, you know,
at least for the first seven minutes of this game or so.
He played 20 minutes today.
Seems like his minutes limit was 20,
played pretty much exactly that.
Played a little in garbage time as well.
I liked that.
The nuggets left them out there and didn't just pull them
when this game was at hand,
so we could get a little rhythm going.
Where are you hoping Aaron Gordon helps this team the most?
Well, early on.
Right now.
Early on, you saw it.
It was, you know, again, like it just...
I mean, I can't stress the spacing was great early on.
Yeah.
The two-man game was operating like it had at its best time,
because everyone had to be respected around that three-point line.
And Aaron Gordon is part of that.
He has a gravitational pull,
and he will pull his defender out to that corner
because you have to respect it.
Aaron Gordon started the season
by scoring 50 points and he ate three pointers.
Yeah.
And there was some of that.
And then his ability to cut and be physical and jam...
I mean, like, obviously not a lot to pull from,
but like that first dunk just felt like a real...
He did dunk it.
It looked great.
And he was playing tough on defense.
I mean, it's me.
It's like kind of everything.
It just changes everything.
The dynamic of both offense and defense and spacing.
And, you know, you have your...
Ali, your finale-oop guy hanging out in the Dunker Zone
if you want him, or you can kick him back out
behind the three-point line.
And you get really good spacing.
Yeah.
And it started off great.
And again, the nuggets...
Not that I'll ever watch this game again,
but if one were to watch this game again,
I would bet the nuggets had six excellent.
Wide open shots from three
that they could not convert on any of them.
But it was all through process.
They were just...
They earned them.
They just didn't take advantage of a single goddamn one.
We'll see what he does for the defense as well.
I mean, I think it's the biggest singular reason
why the nuggets defense has been awful for most of this season.
And I don't think you were really expecting him
to make any miracles with it tonight.
So I don't...
I don't think you can really take anything away
from his defense of performance in this game.
He's just kind of feeling himself back into it.
But, you know, the nuggets defense should be better.
Their clutch defense should be better.
Their rebounding should be better.
They really haven't played with the power forward
for most of this season.
No.
They played Peyton Watson there.
They played Spencer Jones there.
They played Cam Johnson there.
None of those guys are the rebounders
and the interior presences that Aaron Gordon is.
None of those guys play with the physicality
or can play with the physicality.
Spencer Jones tries to just...
Sometimes fouls a lot or hits guys in the nuts.
But they really haven't had that power forward all season.
Aaron Gordon gives them that.
So defensively, that's going to be my biggest storyline
over the last now 18 games of the season.
What do the nuggets look like with Aaron Gordon out there?
Does their defense improve?
Do they look more connected?
Do they have less screw-ups?
Do they have less just total mix-ups
and that leave guys wide open from three
or leave the paint wide open?
He should fix a lot of that.
And, you know, without Jamal Murray,
the defense can be okay too.
But that's the biggest thing to watch, I think.
It's true.
And again, like, they started off showing
that they did have something to offer
the knicks on defense.
Yeah, really?
Yeah.
And I just liked what I saw.
Like, it just felt like, yes, finally, dude.
Finally.
And just...
I don't know.
Did you remember what happened after that?
Remember that it would happen?
It was bad, man.
I've never...
But first off...
I've never seen you.
I don't know if I've ever seen you like this.
This was dude.
Because of how high I was.
Yeah.
The emotional swing was pretty crazy.
There is nothing more crushing
or expectation to be met with ultimate failure.
Right.
And it's like...
If we went in with no expectation,
you're like,
Nick's are a good team, second out of a back-to-back.
But this was like, we got our guys back.
Like, we finally, we got our guys back.
And we've never been beaten down like this.
Like, not only did they not win.
They got beat in such a way.
They got beat down at home in embarrassing fashion
to move their home record to...
Well, 17 and 14 now.
Like, what the hell?
Yeah.
17 and 14.
Yeah.
It's unbelievable.
It's the worst home record out of any team in the top nine.
It's inexcusable.
In the West.
Oh, God.
This is, you know, this is...
Honestly, what this season is all about is like,
we're learning about ourselves this season.
Yeah.
And I'm not liking what I'm like.
I'm not liking either, dude.
It's dark.
It is dark in here.
I knew it was dark, but it is dark.
It's just...
You know, I mean, like, truly, like,
there are so many things to crash out about
on a nightly basis with this team.
Yeah.
I mean, looking out to Colfax.
Colfax is packed because so many people are going
Colfax mode right now.
Well, it's also that it's...
Colfax under heavy construction,
as it has been for well over a year.
And the entrance...
Let's crash out about that bar.
And the entrance to our bar is essentially roped off.
It's cut off with chain link.
You can't get in from one goddamn side.
Dude, we are s...
Well, that's the Xfinity X Factor
Primitive Xfinity.
Imagine that.
Aaron Gordon did make it through the game.
I mean, that is a positive.
He did make it through the game without getting hurt.
He wasn't able to do that the last time he came back.
I think while I've written a vote calling in soon,
before we do that,
let's go around the association really quick,
presented by Fire on the Mountain.
A couple games going on tonight.
If there's...
I only can't hear anything about our foes succeeding.
I can't do it.
Should I go exclusively Eastern Conference games?
I can't hear anything that's going to make me crash out more.
Okay.
I'll try to tread lightly here.
How about Miami vs Charlotte?
That feels safe.
Can I talk about that game?
That feels safe.
Miami 128, Charlotte 120.
No, you know what?
Miami 1?
Miami 1.
I'll think Christy.
That ends the 10-game winning streak potential for this.
Oh, you're so right.
Oh, my goodness.
That's the first sign.
That's the first positive sign.
Praise the basketball, guys.
That's the first positive sign.
To you,
I offer one of my wetland cigarettes.
Preferably the older one.
I'd like this new fresh one.
The Hornets had one six in a row.
They'd see really seem like they were on the verge of going for 10 straight.
That would have ended our season, I think, as well.
If the Hornets won 10 straight before the nuggets.
But they get the win over the heat.
Let's check out the box score here.
Tyler Hiro.
33 points.
Okay.
Khan Knipple.
27 points.
Okay.
Moving on.
I don't know if I can go to any other game.
Avalid?
Let's check in on the NHL scoreboard.
St. Louis 2.
St. Louis 3.
Florida 3.
Detroit 1.
Oh, man.
Van Coot.
Okay.
Let's go back to the end.
We've also got the Suns getting a win over the Pelicans 118.
116.
Kale's having a good night.
Kale's Suns get the dub.
Devin Booker 32 points.
Oh, you're gagged.
Devin Booker.
Dude, you should see Kale's face.
Smile ear to ear.
He's beaming.
Oh.
Gotta go to the Western Conference a little bit here.
San Antonio 116.
Clippers 112.
Spurs win.
Wemben Yama 27 and 10.
Good job.
He hit four threes.
That's more than the nuggets hit.
Yeah, that feels good.
Thanks for telling us that one.
Houston beat the Blazers 106.99.
It was Alper and Shengoon with 28 points.
Cool.
Aiman Thompson with 26.
Sweet.
And we've also got the Celtics.
12,100 in Jason Tan's return.
Dude.
Is it possible that Fred is having an even worse night than us?
I mean, he had to stay for the whole game.
He had to get half time.
He had to stay for the whole game.
He had to go into the locker room with those guys.
And his agenda just got resurrected.
Did you guys see the reports from inside that the Knicks
were playing Natasha Benningfield so loud that they could hear them
throughout the entirety of David Adam and Spress Conference?
Yeah, dude.
That's what happens when teams destroy the nuggets.
Yeah.
Then they get sonically embarrassed every single time.
You don't know the visiting locker room is right next to where
Adelman does his progress.
This happens all the time.
The worst, the loss, the more, the sooner the report of how
music was blaring, doing somebody trying to talk.
And you can hear them cheering while we were crying to our
Cheerios.
Yeah.
So they win in Jason Tatum's return.
And finally, what did Jason Tatum have?
Jason Tatum.
Let me see here.
He went for 15 points on six to 16 shooting.
12 rebounds, seven assists almost had a triple double.
We're done.
So bad, dude.
Returned in 10 months.
Also, the Lakers up 92, 77 over the Pacers.
Do you just want to eat bacon?
Don't you test 39 in the third corner?
Do you just turn this into a mukbang?
I've got a case of nails over there that I use for construction.
We can eat those.
Oh, let's do it.
Or let's have a ranch drinking competition.
We'll just drink it.
We'll see you can drink the most ranch from the bar downstairs.
Or catch up.
That sounds good.
What do you think?
Looking ahead on the schedule here.
It's not statement week.
Okay.
I'm just confirming it's not.
Here's the statement of this week.
Fuck us.
Fuck us.
The nuggets had to Oklahoma City after a couple days off.
They're off Saturday Sunday.
That's right.
Our next game gets OKC.
I forgot, dude.
There's more.
They get the weekend off Saturday and Sunday.
Verse the thunder 5 30 p.m. on Monday.
Cool.
Then we go.
Verse the rockets Wednesday at the first Thursday for another
maximum.
Yep.
And then at the lake your Saturday.
So I wasn't on the show last night.
When does statement week start?
Unclear.
We might have already had statement week.
Going to Adam.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
I think we're about on where I believe we're on the verge of.
Does it start Monday?
Yeah.
It probably.
Maybe it's starting tonight.
It's not a good start.
We should delay it by another game if that's the case.
I don't know when chapter starter end and I don't know.
Today was a new chapter.
It was.
It was.
It started and ended, I think.
This was a new chapter.
It was the worst chapter.
It was about a paragraph long.
You know what this chapter was?
This chapter was the red wedding.
Yeah.
Where you start off, you're like, oh, cool.
We're here for a wedding.
Like, oh, not only is this not a wedding, my whole family's dead.
I think it's Adam.
Adam tried to compare this nugget season to waiting for a good dough yesterday.
And then we were all like, wait for what?
Don't know.
Don't worry about it.
Don't worry about it.
But now here we are.
We thought we were over, but we're still waiting.
And that's the whole point of that play.
That was too nerdy for this show.
Guys, listen, I'll tell you something.
We've only got ourselves at this point.
We can't count off anyone, except for Nicola Yokic.
All right.
Yokic has our back.
We've got Yokic's back.
And everyone else can go and run into traffic.
I don't care.
They're not here for us.
And we're not going to be here for them either.
I can't take some solos in the fact that while everybody gave up in this game.
Yeah.
Nicole Yokic didn't.
Dude, not at all.
And that feels good, I think.
It feels great.
Here's one feel good point.
Okay.
He's so hot.
Yeah.
Worst hair I've ever seen.
Clown.
Bottom five hair.
He has a funny afro.
He has wacky colors all over it.
Yeah.
Which I said on the watch.
You can't have your hair like that if you've got released, if you've got cut from your team.
Right.
You can't be in the garbage timeline.
Yeah.
It makes you an actual clown.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He was a plus 13 and 9 minutes.
Of course he was.
Yeah.
Tough loss.
142-103.
Nuggets got out scored in the second, third and fourth quarters gave up 38 points, 40 points,
37 points.
But Aaron Gordon came back, made his return, made it through the game.
Jamal Murray got hurt.
I haven't seen really any updates on Murray's status, how severe it is.
Got hurt in the second quarter, right before half time, stepped on Yokeuch's ankle wall
back.
Of course.
What else?
I mean, how else do you even get hurt these days?
It looked like he was in a lot of pain, like was grabbing his ankle.
Oh, dude.
It looked like he was in a lot of pain.
It was taken back to some deeply dark and unspeakable moments in Nuggets history in
that time.
In that moment, I felt like in the movie where everything turns black and you just go hyper-focused
on the event unfolding, which is happening in slow motion.
And I was watching all of a sudden, Jamal Murray in the Bay area at San Francisco getting,
we know what happened there, and I just saw Danilo Gallonari falling down in the corner
as we were heading down the end of the season and how that, I mean, it just, I was like,
it felt very, very, very dark and bad.
I'm heartened to hear the word spring, but like, and not tear.
Well, they wouldn't even say that now if that's what happened.
They wouldn't know.
Well, I think they probably would have, if they suspected at least, they would have
thrown him right on that machine, you don't think so.
I mean, I don't think Nuggets have an MRI machine at the arena even.
Oh, really?
A lot of arenas know.
They're probably expensive.
Yeah.
They have an X-ray machine, but you don't really know the result of the spray into the MRI
later, which will probably be later tonight.
But he did walk off the court under his own power.
He did walk back to the locker room.
They showed it on the broadcast.
I'm glad to hear that.
I did not see that part.
So I didn't even get that, that, that good feeling.
Yeah.
Oh, cool.
So David Atelman did say post game that they don't know much yet.
He said, quote, when he sprang his ankle, he usually comes back in place.
This just has been insane.
That's from David Atelman.
Cool.
Cool.
So just to be clear, the head coach of your Denver Nuggets has as much insight as we do.
That's all we've said, this whole show.
It was insane.
I mean, he looked, I know we've talked about how this whole team looked spooked and despondent
and looked like they didn't want to be out there after Jamal Murray got hurt.
He might have been the leader in that gas house.
He looked shell shocked as well.
I believe we got Brendan Vod, I just heard him calling in live from ballerina.
The activity called mobile call in line, very curious to hear what.

Well, vote, that sucks.
What was your takeaway being there?
My takeaway being there was that they got their butts kicked, and Jamal Murray got injured
in the game that they were supposed to be getting their guys back.
You talk about a vibe shift, a vibe flip, if you will.
You guys, the crowd pop for Aaron Gordon at the start of this game was legendary.
One of the loudest in the history of ballerina, I would say, in my time being here.
And to juxtapose that would be stunned silence we heard in the second half.
Pretty hard to understate, really.
I think 39 points, guys, this goes down as tied for the worst home loss in teen history.
And when good injury like that, it doesn't help things.
So it wasn't exactly a positive night here in the locker room.
I do have some developments on Jamal Murray or updates, I should say.
David Adelman said, look, it's an ankle, so they don't know a ton yet.
But obviously when Jamal Murray typically sprains his ankle, he comes back in place.
We've all seen that many times before.
As Adelman said, this is just insane.
But we'll say I was told you guys that Jamal Murray was in good spirits.
He stuck around until the team got back to the locker room.
So he was there when everyone addressed each other.
He left without any crutches.
So look, with the ankle, with the swelling, you never know.
You got to see how it, how it, how it looks overnight, how it feels the next morning.
But X-rays are negative.
No crutches for now for Murray.
And I'm told he left in good spirits after sticking around.
So that's the closest I can get to a positive update for you guys tonight.
It's pretty good.
You know, I'll take that.
I'll take that.
Thanks.
Thank you.
We're back.
We're so back.
I mean, look, you got to take it all with a grain of salt, right?
Like where you hear it from and what people would like to get out there.
I think there is some cause for optimism.
Please do not yell at me if this turns out to be really bad.
I'm just echoing what I've heard on Jamal Murray.
We did hear from David Adelman as well.
Who was asked about the deflating nature of that loss in Jamal's injury.
And he said, yeah, but that's not why we got our ass kicked.
We got our ass kicked because we let go of it.
We just did not compete.
And he said, you know, pretty much from the fourth quarter that extended harvest time
is just around homes.
And outside of that, no one was competing.
So Adelman did not take the woe is us.
This injury is the reason why he was, he was on his guys.
He was not thrilled with this being a 40 point loss.
He said, this could just be a 20 point loss.
If you just go out there and compete still a bit lost.
So cool.
20 point.
I'm sweet as 20 point loss.
Not a kicked ass.
Sure, sure.
I put a kick from a coach's perspective.
That's he's like, you can deal with this one getting away from them, right?
This is me speaking now, not him.
This is my read on his quotes.
But when you lose by 40, you got to say something as a coach.
They did let go of the rope.
They did stop competing out there.
But yeah, this is crazy.
As David Adelman said, it's just been in insane season.
And I think that's a really good way to frame it.
You guys, the next locker room was blasting music like they won the NBA Finals.
We've talked about this before on this show.
The nut gets locker room set up.
There's David Adelman speaking to us right behind him as a wall behind that wall.
The visiting locker room.
The walls were vibrating.
They were shaking.
They were playing music like it was a concert.
I can give you a couple of songs that I identified.
Birthday Sex by Jeremiah, which is an interesting choice.
What a banger, dude.
What a banger, dude.
They played banging on the bathroom floor.
Can only assume it was someone's birthday.
I'm going to admit that it wasn't about the other part.
I don't know.
That I can tell you is that's what was playing.
And then right as David Adelman's really getting into the thick of his press conference,
we heard every single lyric to a Natasha bedding field song.
We don't know the one.
Yeah, we don't know what a banger, dude.
What an absolute banger.
Wow, they play any Taylor Swift or any of that Ophelia thing song.
Do we hear any of that type of?
What was the vibrant mix?
Not that I heard, but really an interesting,
an interesting playlist from the next tonight celebrating a really big win.
So we all just went into the locker room from there to try to get players.
I talked to Spencer and he agreed with Adelman.
He's like, yeah, look, we can't use these excuses.
You just can't, it doesn't matter how bad it gets.
You just can't.
Like this is the NBA.
Everyone is hurt.
We did let go of the rope.
He agreed with Adelman essentially.
And this is me paraphrasing, but the sentiment from Spencer was, yeah,
we just have to compete better, right?
So and they can't just sort of give up and roll over.
This is just their reality.
It's another injury.
They've been resilient with it all season long.
And they've got to kind of push through.
We also heard from Aaron Gordon who spoke in the locker room.
He says he feels good.
His body feels great.
He feels ready to go.
The hamstring he acknowledged is something he has to quote, stay on top of and quote,
but that he feels good right now.
And at least physically, he did not like how he played.
And Aaron Gordon is always quick to do this, but he called himself out,
said, I am not here to make excuses.
I did not play well, or I played badly and I got to be better for the team.
But he's confident that as he gets his legs underneath him, that's what he'll be able to do.
And he echoed the sentiment, and I'm sure every player you could talk to tonight would.
Yes, that was uncharacteristic of us.
We did let go of the rope, and we ultimately just stopped competing.
We did hear from Yokech as well.
And I mean, Yokech's mood was not discernibly defeated or deflated.
You know, kind of standard Yoke.
He acknowledged they had really bad energy in this game.
He says, I think that...
Let's go ahead.
Let's go see.
Notice that that's crazy.
Sorry.
Sorry, sorry, sorry.
And he goes, I think this is the first time in a long time that we kind of quit.
He backtracked a little bit.
I mean, not quit.
They were just better than us.
But yeah, ultimately, it was not a great game for them.
And he said, hopefully, it was just one of those, one of those nights.
On Jamal, he says, it's been the whole season.
Hopefully we can find a way to get healthy and start playing much better.
I mean, what else really can you say, guys?
And on just kind of putting this one behind them and turning, turning around and responding.
Christian Brown said, we don't have a choice.
We got to go to OKC and play the thunder.
There's your locker room update, fellas.
I wish I had a bit more positivity to spread.
But when you lose by 39 and you lose your franchise point guard, it's not exactly a cheering
night in the ballroom.
I mean, some positivity on the Jamal front.
That is...
I think there's some real hope.
It's not a super serious injury.
Thanks, but appreciate it.
My pleasure, Jens.
He brought up Spencer Jones there.
We didn't even really talk about him at all because he also came back from injury,
but played 10 minutes, fouled four times.
It was pretty ineffective.
Just immediately felt like it was, it was immediately just nailed who was in the nuts.
Carl Anthony just immediately entered the game and nailed sounds in the nuts.
He's went, yeah, he went uppercut right to the nuts.
Like, take that cat, freaking loser.
Yeah, it was...
What do you say about a night like tonight with Spencer Jones?
You don't.
Let's hear what the super chat says after a night like tonight.
OK, let's keep...
I need to counter up a positive...
We'll have just the negative and the positive.
OK.
Denver Ghost, if we lose in the first round, a negative or even worse to play in,
will it make you guys nervous that yoga's relief?
OK, negative.
No negative.
OK, so that's our pop 43, light it up.
Uh...
That's neutral.
That's neutral.
Kind of positive.
Pretty neutral.
I'll say neutral.
Uh, Dusty O'Cow's out of props to DeLine and win for doing this show.
OK.
Positive.
All right.
Not about the nuggets.
Game shine, burn those curse city edition jerseys.
Negative.
Negative.
But maybe true.
Kyle M20, hey, Diva Extreme.
Oh, I'm so the sensory here.
Fatality.
I love you, Kyle.
Thank you for not giving it to me tonight.
Waster.
I'm glad that I think another, hey, wind on tonight would have broken you.
I mean, I might get the most shout out to hold on to this season,
and that might be a really bad thing about how the nuggets season has gone.
Yeah.
Big 2015.
I hope mall is OK, F-O-G-O-F-O-G, and F-E's next.
Uh, positive.
Sure.
Yeah.
Uh, Navine, is there an electric substation near ballerina?
Maybe there is a question.
Directly.
The substation.
There is some power, big power lines, because the light rail runs behind it and the electrical
stuff going on.
I'll tell you what there is right behind ballerina, an amusement park.
That's correct.
And what happens to the amusement parks?
I've watched enough Scooby Doo to tell you.
They're haunted.
They're haunted.
And what happened?
The nuggets now have a poltergeist in their aura.
So thanks a lot.
55555, as we head to overtime here, join us online if you're watching on our fast
channels.
To you to press to give an update, feels like a curse season, not even surprised.
We got blown out the basketball gods, heinous this season.
I was going to say.
I don't think there was a bench three.
That's about to say, like, no one had a worst night than 5555555.
Did you run home's had two, three?
Okay.
Tyus Jones had a three, Tim Hardaway had a three?
Sweet Ash 2002.
Thanks for doing a wash long.
The only thing worse would be watching this one alone.
Tell us how we can please you basketball gods.
That is what I'm wondering.
That is what we need to find out.
Listen.
We need to do to get the back of the back on our side.
This is a homework assignment.
Everyone needs to be hyper vigilant.
You need to keep your eyes open for signs.
If you see something like, I don't know, a Joker, you know, like you walk into your house
in a Joker card.
A single Joker card falls to the ground from a packet card.
You didn't realize you had.
You have to be like, okay.
That's a sign.
That's a sign for things going positively.
If it's just nothing but black cats and like Ravens and the weather turning, that's bad.
We need to look for some positive signs and report them to us.
Christian Huff, worst night of my life.
Yeah.
There you go.
Lost that C NBA players with nowhere to go on offense and ramming into a legally positioned
defender as now injured, Jokits and Murray, RIP to the beautiful game.
So sad.
Next order, five or 30 from three by rotation, Siege Maul in four to six weeks.
Mr. grapes.
Nuggets never cease to punish my optimism.
My bad.
I know.
I think we're all going to hit the fuck in the grapes tonight.
Lost that C. The NBA regular season isn't a real place.
Give me our team against anyone in a seven game series.
Too much resilience in our squad positive.
Not tonight.
Very not resilient tonight.
Ryan B. Avstel, all the mojo, it's all right on to the next positive.
Nuggets and nets all is solved on Monday, Wednesday, and you eat shame.
That's a good note to end the show.
Everybody, you're the real ones.
Thanks for hanging out tonight.
I mean, we were trying to figure this out.
Yeah.
This is something deeper than sicko.
Right.
Like, what is the stage past sicko?
This is a masochistic, deeply disturbed institutionalized Nuggets.
And this is just like you're not the sickos.
You're not the forgotten ones like you're the damned.
So thanks for hanging out with us for you, the damned.
Hey, do us a favor.
Like this video.
Throw us a thumbs up.
We do this every day pregame, wash along postgame.
We're here every Nuggets game.
We do it for you guys.
And we do it because we really care about this team.
We'll be back on Monday, I believe, for Nuggets Thunder.
Oh, yeah.
Saturday, Sunday off.
We'll be going on Monday.
We'll see what happens with Jamal Murray over the weekend.
We'll be locked in.
If any news breaks, we'll let you guys know.
