Jan 9 Honoring Dick Van Dyke

Tea With George

About this episode

Jan 9 "Honoring Dick Van Dyke" by Steve Adams

The comedic legend Dick Van Dyke recently became a centenarian.  I certainly remember his work over my lifetime, but 100 years is a long time to develop a positive legacy. In fact, I'm not aware of anyone that I ever knew who did not like this man. To me, he was great because he made his profession about bringing smiles to people all over the world.  I know from my own career it is impossible to be happy and positive all the time.  There have been countless occasions where I definitely was not happy, but I have always tried to be positive and to make others smile even when I was not. In my work with the many interns over the years and even to my friends, my advice has been make at least one person smile every day and you will succeed in anything you try.  Based on that advice, I would say Dick Van Dyke succeeded in spades, and I hope others will learn the power in bringing smiles to people you encounter
