Why have we asked our contractor we found on Angie.com to be our kids' legal guardian?
Because he took such good care when redoing our basement that we knew we could trust him
to care for our kids.
Ballade of them.
Should something happen to us?
Are you my dad now?
No.
Sorry.
I do basement.

This is Jones and Keith.
Well, Celtic's got your win for your birthday, Scott.
I appreciate it.
And in doing so, they complete the California sweep for the first time ever.
They go 8-0 against the teams from California.
And I think Joe Missoula has taken that gamble.
I mean, Jaylen Brown goes into the top 10.
You got to do that.
Jaylen Brown's incredible.
Tatum's improving.
This is like going to be a really interesting run.
And I think the league is watching the Celtics with a Hawkeye.
Jones and Keith, right now on WWEEI.
Are you ready for day one of the tournament games?
Yes.
Yes, I am, Jones.
We're the great days on the sports calendar every year.
Look forward to it.
Now, my interest dips by the minute after they tip off at 12-15.
I'll be honest.
At 12-15, it's the best.
Yeah.
Actually, no, save.
233, when there's like four games on it once, that is actually what it is at.
That's when it's really cooking.
And then you lose a bunch of the games that you either bet on your bracket or you bet
sort of standalone.
And then you start to lose interest a little bit by the weekend, but I'll tell you, Thursday
Friday, a lot of fun.
It's like reverse compound interest.
It's like, I start out real interested.
Oh, it couldn't be more interested.
And then by the end, if it's teams I don't care about, and my bracket is busted, which
is usually the case.
Yeah.
Then baseball starts next week and we're going to be here.
Yeah.
And then we're on to something different.
We have socks, openers, and things like that.
Oh, the Wu socks, yeah.
I don't know.
So today, Jones and Keith are live from Jake and Joe's in Wu Bern.
We encourage you if you want to come check out the games here today, or you just want
to stop by and say hello.
Jake and Joe's Wu Bern, we're excited to be here, and we'll be here all afternoon
long, taking your phone calls at 617-779-793-7, that's how you dial us up today.
And look, I understand some people out there don't like this tournament, don't enjoy this
tournament.
We do fools.
We got thoughts on the games, we got thoughts on the bracket.
You see Ken over here?
I see Ken.
Ken, I don't want to rip him too much.
He brought donuts.
Very kind of.
Oh, it's very nice.
He's got his bracket printed out.
Literally.
Well, no, no.
He has a bracket printed out.
He's filling it out as we speak.
He's got two hours.
He's like, hey, well, and I think a lot of people do this.
Oh, I don't really know what to do with my bracket.
Geez, I don't want to really commit to anything.
Keith and Jones, have you covered today?
We're going to go on the clock at high noon with our brackets, upsets, vice, picks, national
champions.
So that comes your way at high noon.
We'll go on the clock live from Jake and Joe's in Wu Bern.
We're going to talk to Brad Foat 1130, mix in some red socks and world baseball classic
thoughts.
Plus a live key for badness for you at 1245.
Those are always fun.
Live grab bag here at Jake and Joe's.
So stop by and say hello.
You can interact at Jones and Keith Twitter and Instagram.
That's where you go vote in what I checked on this morning, Keith was a very, very, very
close matchup between corn and limp biscuit in the Jones and Keith March madness 1990 slash
early 2000s heavy metal, new metal grunge alternative pop punk butt rock and rock bands
bracket.
Corn limp biscuit.
Those votes are going to matter.
I think Metallica's punching through over rage.
That's crazy to me.
I think that's happening either way, but those those votes are going to matter in corn
and limp biscuit.
You got a half hour left to vote.
I don't worry over to that.
That's it.
Yeah.
There are 37 minutes to be exact.
Okay.
And that is still pretty pretty close at Jones and Keith the spot to do that.
We also have system of a down Lincoln Park later today, who along with tool and slip not
so close to having incubus sneak through the sweet 16 just missed more sweet 16 matchups
for you.
We're going to do a day to watch along and chat twitch.tv slash Boston W E I always and
I mean always a healthy check going on on Twitch do the same on YouTube.
You can watch there.
You can chat there.
Just subscribe to W E E I you hear some of the numbers that scale and you Carter.
Thank you.
Yeah.
You're part of the show.
Yeah.
How did I how did I blink on that?
I know.
Uh, but they're rattling off the eight no California trip, which whatever they're rattling
off.
Jalen Brown moving into the top 10 all time scores for the Celtics Tatum and Brown are
nine and ten.
That's crazy.
All time.
Oh, yeah.
And it's not some, you know, Shlubby organization franchise success events with good players.
Jalen starts fantastic last night.
He probably could have had 40 or 50 the way he was going 18 to start that game out after
a monster fourth quarter the other night.
I think you had 23 at half off the top of my head.
So another strong performance at a Jalen Brown and we talked about this.
Keith are the Celtics going to keep letting Jalen be the lead dog.
Yeah.
They were again.
Last night.
Yeah.
And Jalen keeps rolling.
Yeah.
It's pretty, it's pretty clear.
And I think he's more than up for the challenge.
He's having a great season.
I would say I would spend it this way.
Maybe the MVP of the Eastern Conference, right?
A lot of MVP conversation.
If this was baseball, he had a real chance to win it because they, for some reason, give
out two MVP awards, which they shouldn't because they all play each other and they have
the same rules.
But the Eastern Conference MVP, I like it because the West is loaded with sort of the
big three out West with SGA and Yokech and Wembee.
But I think Jalen Brown is sort of solidified to me.
First team all NBA, his team has been a real surprise.
And then Tatum has come back and has really sort of fit it.
And that was what the question was going to be.
It's like, is Tatum going to be the one, okay, sort of sacrificing?
Because Brown's been there for 60 plus games.
He's been the guy for this season.
And that is continued.
And Jason Tatum has stepped right in and been a better sort of second player.
Then anybody else has in the Eastern Conference has sort of, as we've mentioned before, sort
of slotted in guys like Derek White and Pritchard and Houser, everybody else can kind of
get bumped down one spot where they're all more effective and all probably more comfortable.
So yeah, this is probably the best we could have hoped for.
I know they lost to the Spurs and Brown got thrown out and then they lost to the Thunder.
So it's not like they're just undefeated since he's come back.
But just the way the team looks and the way that specifically Brown and Tatum are playing
together right now.
I don't think anybody could have asked for anymore.
No.
And I think when you're talking about Eastern Conference MVP, and even if you want to open
up the discussion about the one seed again, I think we can based on the news today.
This is big.
Cade Cunningham collapsed long.
Yeah, we're out.
That happened.
So how long is he going to be out for?
I would think a long time.
That's true blood, though.
Right point.
I would think a long time.
They didn't put a timetable on it, but we have less than a month left in the regular
season.
What does Detroit have left?
They played 58 games.
So they have like another, what, 14?
I'm sorry.
They played 68 games.
So they have another 14.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, how many more games is he going to play?
And if you want to get away from the one seed for a moment, Celtics is three and a half games
back of Detroit.
The story in the Detroit Free Press, or I guess it's also ESPN, that just says, we'll miss
an extended period of time.
That's all it says.
Maybe most of them.
Now, Terp said this immediately, and it's a good point.
He's at 61 games played.
Yeah.
He won't qualify.
Well, is he going to, is he going to try to get back on the court for the final four
games of the year?
But he might not qualify for all NBA.
And he's one of the few players that I would have put on the first team before Jalen.
We went through it yesterday.
Yeah.
That's fair.
That's fair.
I think everybody, everybody, should have before being honest with ourselves.
You should have Yokech.
You should have SGA.
You should have Wembee ahead of Jalen Brown.
I would have put Kade ahead of him.
But I would have had Jalen on the first team either way after Kade cutting him.
Now he might be out.
Yeah.
You take him out.
And it's a three and a half game lead right now.
The pistons have over the Celtics.
So can they make up three and a half, maybe I think they definitely can't without Kade
cutting him.
Maybe Jalen to Ren's been really, really good this year.
He's their second best player.
I mean, that's why cutting him deserved MVP conversation because even though the Celtics
roster has been whittled down and they didn't have tamed him until recently, you look at
the pistons roster.
They have a better record and they're like, they start Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson.
Yeah.
I like Duncan Robinson.
New Hampshire guy.
But like good Lord.
I don't, I don't think their roster is overwhelming and they have no playoff experience.
And I think that's a, that's a real thing in the NBA.
I respect the next playoff experience to a degree.
The Celtics have champions on their team.
The next have a decent playoff pedigree.
I don't respect Detroit's playoff pedigree at all.
There isn't one.
And I don't respect James Hardin and Donovan Mitchell's playoff pedigree.
As Mitchell, the Mitchell making a Western conference final with the jazz.
I think he did.
No.
I don't think so.
Over there from Turf.
I thought they did.
Oh, I think they maybe got out of the first round.
Yeah.
Gordon Hayward couldn't do.
I think maybe he did that.
Regardless.
Yeah.
I mean, if you want to talk about playoff pedigree and playoff success, the Celtics
are the most battle tested team.
When you factor in Derek White and you factor in Peyton Richard, there's no more battle
tested team in the Eastern Conference, at least not at the top of the Eastern Conference.
Yeah.
I want to get down to the Miami's of the world, maybe.
It's pretty crazy.
I mean, I guess what you look at is you like the mix more than I do and you would say
not that they have a, you know, this championship pedigree, no, but they've won, they've won
playoff rounds in the last couple of years and they beat the Celtics head to head.
And Tatum was there for most of it.
So they would probably be the team.
I think that the most confidence going into a playoff series because they're like, yeah,
we just beat these guys.
And they don't even have, you know, a holiday, horror, report, zingas, which is all that
championship experience is now peeled off.
Now, it's still Tatum and Brown and Joe Mizzula.
So you still have all that going.
I would pick them in that series, but I also picked them last year and I was wrong.
Yeah.
Well, true.
I in some ways feel better about it this year, though, because I didn't like the way the
Celtics were playing at this time last year.
I didn't.
And we talked about it in real time and people rolled their eyes.
It's all about the playoffs.
It's all about getting healthy.
Don't worry about bad habits.
And those people were wrong.
The Celtics got into bad habits.
They weren't playing their best basketball.
I think right now they're playing their best basketball.
Yeah.
It's a good point.
And they have something to play for down the stretch.
Like, if they want to be have home court, like, they're going to have to play pretty
hard.
It doesn't mean you go nuts.
It doesn't mean you play Tatum back to backs.
You can play pretty hard and be at your best going into the playoffs.
And I'm not giving them wins for San Antonio and O.K.C.
But they hung with San Antonio with Jalen Brown for half a game.
They hung with O.K.C. without Tatum.
So I really genuinely feel like this year, they are playing their best basketball.
Last year they weren't.
Not even close to it.
And I think if you really watched them closely and you really followed them and you were
being honest with yourself, you could see that.
And this year, I think they are, which is a big improvement for this team.
So do they have another gear?
Can they?
My electrician, I found on Angie.com to bury my pet hamster.
I was so moved by how carefully he buried my electrical wires.
I knew I could trust him to bury my sweet nibbles after his untimely end.
This is very strange.

Track down the Detroit pistons who again are three and a half games up, but Kate Cunningham
out for the foreseeable future with a collapse lung, no small thing.
Is that open up a spot for Jalen on the NBA's first team?
You can discuss again, it's 617-779-793-7, do you catch any of Jalen after the game?
His new biology in his leadership?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It seems like an onion headline, but no, but then remember who we're talking to.
Oh, yeah, but you're like, oh, that checks out.
Yeah, I'm like a lot of wasted time and energy, but like I'm not going to tell him how
to live his life.
Well, he wants to do.
I don't waste my time with any of that nonsense, and I'm sorry.
It is nonsense.
Astrology.
I don't know my neurology signs.
Let alone everybody else around me.
I do know my own sign.
I definitely don't know anybody else is like, what is cat?
No idea, cat.
You're a bus out there.
No clue.
I'm an Aquarius.
That's about the only thing I can tell you.
Is that mean you're-
At some point I learned that in my life.
I don't know what it means.
Okay.
It's all nonsense.
I don't know what it does, but Jalen believes in it, so I guess I'm supposed to take
this to mean.
Well, look at Jalen.
What a leader Jalen is.
Look at it.
He decided to figure out everybody's sign and figure out how to communicate with them.
It's nonsense, but he believes in this nonsense, so whatever.
There's plenty of nonsense, I believe in.
And so-
Like witchcraft?
No, like, you know, like sitting in the right spot when I'm watching a game or like,
you know, not-
Oh, you're just superstitious.
Not checking on my fantasy line.
I'll get more points if I don't look at it.
You know, things like that.
That work.
Yeah, no.
No, that definitely works.
I believe in a lot.
You know what I do?
I do.
I told you this.
And rather than going to the page where it has like the fantasy matchup where they tell
you all the points, I go to box scores.
Yeah.
I do the same thing.
Wait, I did the same thing.
Oh, he's got 12 points.
Yeah, I'm like, I'm not looking at my score.
I don't want my whole score and I don't want your score, but I basically have done all
the math in my head.
And it's dumb.
Yeah, so I believe in a lot of nonsense.
There's nothing wrong with that.
It's nonsense.
But when it comes to Jalen, I guess I'm supposed to believe this is like a sign of his great
leadership or he wants us to believe it's great leadership.
I don't know if it's that as much as he's just, uh, he's a complicated fellow.
Maybe.
Yeah.
But it's like the idea of playing chess over a plan checker.
I thought the idea was, if I understood it, I really took time as the leader of the team
this year to figure everything out.
And I would have been like, shouldn't you have known everybody's numerology and, uh, there
are astrology and there are signs that shouldn't you have known all of that already?
Maybe he did.
Well, maybe he did.
That's how he said.
He said he's like, I took the time this off season to figure it all out.
Yeah.
Well, sometimes people can improve as leaders.
You don't always show up year one as a leader.
And I think on this team, you know, Tatum was around the team, but he's not on the court
with them.
And not only this is where I think, like Drew Holiday being gone also factors in and
Horford and like for the first time Browns probably looking around, he's like, Oh, like
I'm far in a way.
Like the leadership option.
Like, there's nobody else even close.
That's a good point.
Like I'm like, I'm not going to.
And Horford would make it.
Maybe a little different.
Yeah.
Or, you know, you go Gonzalez, it's not going to be the captain.
Like he was the clear, like he's still a young guy in like human years, but in the NBA,
like he's a real veteran player now.
And so yeah, maybe he decided he's like, all right, I'm going to use my time by studying
everybody's birthdays and charts.
I mean, look, whatever he's doing is working.
What?
Do you think he knows birthstones?
Maybe.
Got to.
Yeah.
That's good, too.
I think, right?
There's one every month or something.
Some months have two.
I don't know my birthstone.
This was a few big crystals guy.
You must be a big crystals guy.
See the crystals, not how that works.
I think so.
Spencer Pratt, I think, is big into that.
So this show that's been getting people have been recommending called Neighbors on HBO.
Did you watch this at all yet?
I've seen the film.
I've not seen the show.
No, no.
So it's not that gaffron.
I like that.
I like that.
I like that.
That's one of my favorites.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Nick and Billy, if you guys have watched this show, but basically it's like a real, it's
like real neighbors that have like disputes.
Oh, wait.
I have seen this.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, just the trailer and previews for it.
So anyway, episode two, real quick, this is the long way going to what you were talking
about.
But there's a guy on there that I think he's like a producer, quote unquote, like producer
for like movies, but sure he's not.
Then he has, he has a gimmick now where he's like, this reminds me of like crystals, where
has, he has these screens that, that like these screens that have like this, all different
colors and they like go up and down and he says the Fibonacci sequences in there.
And people pay money to sit in chairs around these screens and it like changes how they
feel.
It's like the biggest scam you've ever, it's like an obvious scam.
Nice.
But there's like, these poor women sitting in there are paying this guy like a 120 bucks
a session.
And I'm like, yeah.
But if it works for you, how do we get in on one of these scams?
This is what Alex Guerrero asked.
We could literally do anything based on what this guy had.
How do we, how do we get in on one of these, these grips, these scams?
How do we do that?
I don't know.
That's something we should work on.
It's a real money make.
Yeah.
No, we should.
I do.
I do.
Crystals.
You think you're really fixated on crystals?
Well, yeah.
I was using like monitors, I guess.
Yeah.
Lover, but illegal.
Yeah, clever.
Can we get in on that?
I feel like we could.
I think we should.
I think it's, if you can convince somebody that they're doing something right for their
health, but that thing that you're doing is easy, I'll eat it up like a pot roast.
Okay.
Well, I forgot to mention, by the way, and I don't know if she happens to be into numerology
or anything like that.
We can ask her.
We are going to talk to Maxine Dupri, WWE Intercontinental Champion or former.
Former.
That's a sore subject.
I just wanted to bring up a wrestler.
Ask her, what happened?
We will have to talk.
Now you don't.
To Maxine Dupri, coming up about a half an hour from now, she will join us here on
Jones and Keefe live today, Jake and Joe's in Wooburn.
You can dial us up 617-779-793-7, we're starting Celtics.
If you got questions about the bracket, you're filling it out at the last second, like Ken
is over here at his table.
Feel free.
With whatever questions you have, we'll get to the Patriots later on.
We're one week away from the Red Sox opener.
It's crazy.
Not the home opener.
No, I get it.
Home opener.
We're going to be at the cast.
That's the actual game.
A week.
Sorry, two weeks from tomorrow.
Yeah, we'll be there.
I'm not talking about the Woose Sox opener.
We're going to be there tonight, a week from tomorrow.
He's racking up some miles.
The Red Sox opener is a week from today, so we have thoughts on that with Brad Foe.
When he joins us at 11.30, we go on the clock at high noon.
We fill out our brackets, and we've got to keep from adding us for you live from
Jake and Joe's at 12.45, Billy Lanny, with all the latest here in trending.
And then, the Celtics don't miss Porzingis and Hoarford Drew Holiday.
They don't miss those guys yet.
Will they miss some come playoff time?
Let's get into that right after the update.
It's Draymond Green kicking off my 14th NBA season and the new season in my podcast.
Trust me.
I'm not holding back.
