You have your two dogs.
You have Cortland on the outside and you got Jalen on the outside.
Those two are not coming off the field.
And I pointed this out on our Monday show.
The Broncos have always had a dynamic duo at receiver on their Super Bowl teams.
You got Ed McCaffery and Rod and you had Demerius and Emanuel.
Now you got Cortland and Jalen.
Everybody, welcome back to the 2026 version.

I got my guy Dave Logan back at the DNVR bar and we are now fully into the Aussies and fully
into free agency. Combine has happened.
Let's be honest, one of us is playing golf these days and one of us isn't.
I did just let you guys choose as to which one you think is and which one you think might
not be.
It's going to be the guy with the polo on and yeah, a guy chance to play Pebble Beach in
spyglass.
Yes, it was incredible.
Shout out to KKR.
They invited my firm, CapRock out there and they invite my firm though.
No, I don't even have a firm.
No, team Dave Logan, that's your firm.
I'm still looking for the email.
I'm still looking for the email.
It's in your job.
It's in your job.
It's in your job.
It was incredible.
That Monterey is very beautiful.
80 degrees no wind.
I tried, sorry, I packed pants and I tried to buy some shorts that's pro shop and they're
like, no, you lucked out on whether we aren't selling shorts at this time of year.
Usually it's 60 degrees and a little windier rainy.
Nice.
Nice.
But it was incredible, man.
What's been good with your off season?
How's everything going?
Yeah.
Good.
Just went on short vacation just to get away a little bit after the season.
Yeah.
We're down to Mexico.
It was actually, it was actually important of our time when they had the, when they had
a little, I would call it dust up with, that's how I view it, a little dust up with the,
you know, the cartel has no problems with me.
We just happened, we just happened to be there, my wife and I, and so, and in friends.
So we had about a day and a half shelter in place.
Do not stick your head out the door sort of thing, which all the restaurants shut down,
the Uber cab, everything shut down.
You look, it's kind of right on the beach, you look and normally the beach has got, you
know, 100 people or so there was like two.
So it was, it was eerie in that regard, but it lasted for a day and a half and slowly
opened it by, that was Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, one restaurant opened a little bit, if you
wanted some beans, at that point we're hungry, we're eating beans, and then Wednesday everything
is back to normal.
So it's just still a beautiful place.
I think it was, you know, one of those things, there have been no cartel violence in Port
of Iarta since 1998.
So we're still going back.
I'm glad you're back and you are safe and sound.
How's everything going?
At K.O.
So how's everything going at K.O.A., how's my boy Ryan and then let's, let's dive into,
before, yeah, you can answer that first and then we'll dive into the off season.
Yeah, I mean, all good, everybody, everybody is back from vacation and, you know, it's,
it's chugging along.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Well, man, there's, there's been a lot that has been happening since you and I were
last together.
Yeah, right.
And we're going to start with Sean Payton hand in overplay calling duties.
That to me was, once I knew Davis Webb was getting all of the interest, that was the only
way that could have brought him back and we were talking on the podcast, the daily podcast
and there were like, there's no way Sean Payton is handing over play calling duties and
I put out the example to everybody that if you go out there and you get offered, you
know, a COO job or jobs at other places where you can call plays, the only way you would
come back is if you were promised something and Davis Webb is now stepped in as a play
caller.
Your first initial thoughts in terms of Sean handing it over and then what do you think
and how are you thinking about Davis now being the OC?
Yeah, I, I think I'm, I mean, you played for Sean and I've gotten the noise a little
bit since he, since he became the head coach of the Broncos.
I was like you.
I said, hey, when it was first rumored and people were talking about it and hey,
Davis Webb may become the play caller.
Honestly, and I think I said it on the air was like, that ain't going to happen.
That's just not going to happen.
You hired this guy because of his offensive acumen.
He's been a play caller his entire career.
And so when it was announced and Sean was the one that announced it and but he announced
it in a way, he, he also added, I'm going to be involved.
And so just watching him, I, I think this in talking to a couple of people that, that
I really trust.
I think this was probably the perfect storm, so to speak.
He likes Davis.
I think Bo likes Davis and I think that's an important factor in this decision.
But I, I, I'm going to wait and see how this works.
It's, you know, when you have a guy that has said, I'll still be involved in the play
calling.
I mean, if I'm, if I'm Davis Webb, okay, what does that, what does that mean?
Tell me what, what does that mean, am I, am I, am I, and I'm sure, I'm sure they're
going to be able to work things out, right?
But if you're going to have a guy call plays, then the guy has to call plays, right?
And so I'm anxious to see how the structure of the offense looks next year.
And it is, is it discernibly different than what we've seen the previous two years?
Because if Davis Webb, if Davis Webb is calling Sean Payton's offense, then then maybe
the play selection, maybe the tempo of the offense will be a little bit different.
But, but are we also talking about Davis being involved in, because this is the off season
and coaches nowadays getting ready for the, you know, they just finish free agency getting
ready for the draft, but they're tinkering with their offense and defense and special
teams.
And they want to say, and now with Jalen Waddle, we'll get into that.
Now you got him.
How do you incorporate him?
How much is, how much does Davis Webb going to be involved in sort of creating the offense?
And then, of course, calling it?
I think Davis will be calling a Sean Payton type of offense.
And I think that's where Sean gets into it in terms of, I am now not, I am not going
to come up with a game plan and then hand it to you to now install.
Now it's going to be a collaborative process.
You actually come up with your initial game plan.
Let me oversee it.
But I will help you call these plays, or I will help you with in-game scenarios or situations.
Hey, Davis Webb.
No, but what is she, that's what people are saying.
And I will help you call play.
If I'm Davis Webb, I want it in a conversation with maybe a cup of coffee.
I want to define like, okay, boss, what does that mean?
I think that means fourth and once late in the half.
You're making the suggestion?
You're making suggestions.
Okay.
I have two plays ready here.
We got third and three.
If we get to fourth and one, I'm thinking about going for it.
See, that's where I see, I think Sean has got to be really good.
He's capable of it, I'm certain.
But he's got to be really good.
I mean, you brought this guy back because you didn't want him to go elsewhere.
You brought him back because he's got a really good relationship with Bonix, right?
And so, and now he's going to be the play caller.
Okay.
It's a play caller.
Sean's personality is so strong that, and I don't know Davis, I mean, hardly at all.
So, I think Sean has to be careful that when you suggest things, are you saying, here,
I've got a couple of plays for you, but it's okay if you've got to feel you go with what
you call.
Or as the head guy, hey, I've got a couple of plays for you, like, what are we doing?
Here's two plays, pick one, and call it, right?
So, I just, I think it's going to be a fascinating, and I'm guessing, matter of fact, I'm quite
sure, they will downplay this once they get into training camp.
Anybody in the media that asks questions, I think that'll be downplayed out.
It's a collaboration, we're not going to get into exactly how it works.
And so, it's just left for people like us to try to figure out how it works.
But I think, listen, I think it's, it's going to be different for Sean, for sure.
And I think it'll be interesting for Davis in his first opportunity to be a play caller
and having a guy like Sean stand right next to him.
I think that's the most important relationship that we have to have an eye on this off season,
because that is the most important dynamic.
And Davis has been here for two years, like you said, the relationship with Bo is great.
And you were just 14 and three.
And you had a chance, you were one game away from the Super Bowl, so you're handing over
this play calling.
My hope is that Sean just not snatch it back because it's not going as smoothly as possible.
And Sean, every year, they start a little bit slow offensively, regardless if he was
in New Orleans or...
What do you think that is?
You played for him.
The extreme amount of personnel.
It's not necessarily the concept, it's the amount of personnel that he will put into
the game plan.
I think that's where Davis actually steps in and he actually limits the personnel.
And we can get into it now, the Broncos make the trade for Jalen Waddle.
And I believe this now, you have your two dogs.
You have Cortland on the outside and you got Jalen on the outside.
Those two are not coming off the field and I pointed this out on our Monday show.
The Broncos have always had a dynamic duo at receiver on their Super Bowl teams.
You got Ed McCaffery and Rod and you had Demerius and Emanuel.
Now you got Cortland and Jalen.
But those guys didn't come off the field and then you have a receiver by committee.
How do you think this now brings another element that the Broncos haven't had in a long
time?
You're a route runner, somebody who could run short routes, intermediate and go deep.
You haven't had that in a very long time and somebody who has the yak capability.
But I don't expect these two now to come off the field and I think Davis will limit the
personnel's, what was your first initial thoughts when the trade went through?
Yeah, I was excited about it.
I think.
Especially because you're receiving.
You and Jalen Waddle got similar characteristics in terms of speed and the way you played.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, absolutely.
We're very similar in speed.
The issue was Jalen's speed was for 40 yards and Maya was for 30.
But our times were pretty similar.
No, I think, and I've said this on the air before, I think in our league, you have to have
what I call the reg was at speed to play that position.
There are very few guys that play receiver, defensive back or whatever that are not really
good athletes.
They're different body shapes and sizes.
There's different speeds.
All of them, if the good ones have the ability to get into and out of their breaks, you
got big guys that are good in the break and out of the break and then that sort of
enables them to do things that they need to do to stay in the league.
We're fast guys.
The big guys might not be as fast, but they're good in and out of the break.
The waddle to me is a guy that if you have eight guys in the league, maybe 10.
And those guys are just faster than all your fast guys.
Right?
They're just, he knows how to use his speed.
He can use his speed and he requires, from a defensive standpoint, identification wherever
he lines up, whether they roll the coverage to him, a little easier to roll, coverages
when a guy is on the outside.
He hasn't played a lot of the slot, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him utilize some
in the slot because then it really puts the defense pretty easy to roll to an outside
guy.
I think a little bit more of a challenge to identify when he's in the slot or when he
moves from outside in the slot in motion.
But as you said, he's got tremendous ability after the catch.
He's got good hands.
I went back and I've been looking a lot of the dolphin stuff just for the run game over
the last three or four years and Waddle pops up as you're looking at the running game.
Here comes the passing game.
He's got good hands.
He's not a big guy at all, but he's shown some toughness.
So I think it's going to be interesting to see how they incorporate him in this offense.
And in who's tick he takes because somebody is not going to be playing as much this coming
year as they played last year.
Yeah, I think it's an interesting dynamic.
Look, when you're in the receiver room, look, we are in the NFL is the all sports businesses.
It's all about competition.
And when you bring somebody like that in, I was saying, I was saying to the guys upstairs,
now everybody's uncomfortable.
Courtland.
Courtland knows he's good.
He's not going anywhere.
But you trade for a Jalen Waddle and I saw Marvin Mims on altitude and saw his interview
first of all, super well spoken.
Didn't know he was that well spoken, well spoken and maybe has a future in media, but obviously
an incredible guy, very bright, but very honest about, you know, he was surprised about
the trade, Waddle, him, similar skill sets in terms of their down field playmaking ability,
the ways that you can use them with reverses, the way that you can line them in the backfield
and put them all over the place.
Troy Franklin, this is a wake up call that, hey, we are not satisfied, Pat Bryant.
This is also a call to you, even though you are a rookie and then you had a great rookie
year.
He had a super bowl caliber roster and we felt like the receiver room wasn't good enough.
So out of all those guys, I think they're now splitting time because just based off a salary
and dynamic playmaking ability and trading for a guy like that, you know that he's playing.
I remember Tyke Tolbert, our receiver coach, when I was here in Denver, every training
camp that I was here and he was coaching, Demarius, Emanuel, and Wes, my rookie year, he said,
those guys are slotted to make a team.
It's all up for grabs and then when Wes left, it was just DT&E that my remaining three
years that he would let us know at the beginning of training camp, these two are guaranteed
to make the team.
Everybody else is going to have to fall in line and it becomes a competition now.
So you know, Portland and Jalen are your guys.
Everybody else, you're not cut candidates, but I don't know who's getting the ball there.
Yeah, I heard the interview with Marvin Mims as well and to be honest about it, I thought
he was really honest and I think I was thinking, you know, back in the day, I think I would
have responded exactly the same way.
Marvin basically said, I don't understand, you know, why we're bringing this guy in or
something to that effect.
And I would want, if I was coaching that room, I'd want those players to feel that way.
Now, you got to be a good teammate when Jalen gets here, but I think back it was like my
fourth or fifth year, I'd been a starter with the Browns and the Browns draft a wide receiver
in the first round.
And my running mate on the other side was six, seven years older than me.
But even though I'm assuming they drafted him to replace my running mate, I just remember
the mindset that I had in the off season.
And I mean, I came to camp in the best shape of my life and it was like, listen, bro, you
ain't getting my stuff.
I mean, I'm going to make sure that I'm like on point and so I think it'll be good for
the room.
I think anytime you remember when Sean was talking about in the postseason press conference
and he was talking about too many passes on the ground.
You and I have talked about that like virtually every show we did a show every week last season
where you can't have the kind of championship offense that you need to have.
If the ball is on the ground as many times as it was last year when you throw it to wide
receivers, receiver coach is no longer employed here as new receiver coach.
So that's just as you said, it's a big business and it's a business based on production
and they don't care who you are for the most part.
If you produce, you get to stay and if you don't produce to the level that they think
you should, then we're going to find somebody else.
I mean, you know, Marvin completely honest and I like Marvin Mims in his skill set a
lot.
I do too.
I know you do as well, but I also think this, he's going into a contract year.
And to me, if I'm Marvin, okay, I know I'm not getting extended here.
You're not going to have a $27 million receiver, a $30 million receiver and extend me.
So who are you talking about?
You got Cortland, 30 million a year, right?
Or 27 or in Jalen Waddle is in 25, 24, 25.
So you know, you're not getting extended.
You know, I think, you know, this now after this year or going into training camp, which
he would probably want, based off of having two first team all pro seasons as a returner,
every time I've gotten thrown the ball in high pressure situations, bangles game against
Buffalo, against the Patriots in the AFC championship.
I've been that guy.
I now feel like I am a trade candidate to get some picks back for Waddle.
Maybe, maybe.
I think the Broncos, not telling them something they don't know.
But if I'm Marvin Mims, and you and I talked about this to the last couple of years, but
last year in particular, we just couldn't figure out, like, why is Mims not a bigger part
of this?
So I have not had any coach tell me this, this is just me looking at film and watching
and there had to be some sort of disconnect with respect to the staff and Mims in terms
of what we're comfortable with you running, right?
And whether, and I don't know this to be true, but, you know, receivers, if the balls
on the ground in practice, I don't know that was necessarily the case with Marvin.
But if it is, I mean, that's, you know, you're probably not going to get it on Sunday
much.
But if they are, if they're not comfortable, maybe with the way that you read things on
the run or the way that you run certain routes, but they're, to me, with a guy that is
that capable with his hands on the ball, look at his return game, there had to be something
that the staff was just not completely comfortable with as far as carving out more opportunity
or more time.
Now also, I think they have to be better now that they have Jalen Waddle of finding ways
to get him the ball because they, they really didn't and maybe they had reasons for them
not doing it, but they really didn't do that for Mims, right?
I mean, Franklin got a lot more targets than Mims.
Is it the quarterback being comfortable?
We both know that play as a part.
So I just never have been able to figure out exactly like what's the deal with Mims?
Yeah, especially because he's made so many plays, especially big plays.
A lot of big plays.
And to me, he would be the receiver who hasn't put the ball on the ground at all throughout
the season.
Like he wasn't, he didn't have the drop sees.
Yep.
You know, he didn't have that.
No.
But Jalen Waddle, I mean, you know, three straight thousand yard seasons, got five thousand
yards on the career so far, 26 touchdowns.
I mean, I think you can have two receivers now at a thousand yards and you haven't had
that since 2016.
So, you know, I think that's going to bring a lot of competition into the receiver room.
And I like the fact that Jalen Waddle is a very, he's a culture fit.
So I think that's super important.
Well, you know, in Denver, we expect a lot right out of our teams and our homes.

USA versus Portugal, Tuesday, March 31st at 6 p.m. Eastern, live on TNT and HBO map.
Frequency was, the first week of free agency was little quiet for the Broncos and Broncos
country was pissed.
And I understand why they were pissed.
I think it was out there that George Payton talked about being selectively aggressively
aggressive in free agency, but not overpaying, but finding the right value.
And I think Broncos country was freaking out a little bit because you had all of these
one-score games last year.
And to me, if I put myself as a fan of the Broncos, what got you there last year won't
keep you there.
The record does not transfer over to the next season, and we saw what happened with
Kansas City this year.
They had all those one-score games, went 15 and two, got you a Super Bowl loss, and then
went eight and nine this year.
Broncos did some restructuring throughout that week, but didn't sign any free agents.
What were your first initial thoughts before they, as they were resigning all of their old
guys?
Yeah.
I said many times on the air, I understand the frustration for Broncos fans, right?
Because they're, I mean, they play in the AFC Championship game last year, and you figure
if you're two or three key acquisitions away from really taking that next step.
So I get it.
I mean, I completely get it.
I think that a couple of things, one, they've got a first-place schedule this year.
So at least on paper, and Sean, you know, whenever you bring this up, Sean always reminds
everybody, and he's right, you know, there will be two or three teams that on paper weren't
supposed to contend, and then they had, so I get that.
But on paper, you're playing a more difficult schedule, you're playing a first-place schedule.
You've got a first-year play collar.
So they're going to have to be better.
They're going to have to be better than they were.
More prime time, guys, probably.
Yep.
And they're going to have to be better running the ball.
And so I thought they would make the splash, and I said this, the splash that I thought
they would make was going to be in the backfield.
I do believe that they made a run, pretty significant run at ATN.
Now whether I don't, I believe that to be true, whether or not he just priced himself
out of Denver or whether or not they had parameters, and they said we're not willing to go any
further, or whether or not the Saints just outbid them and ATN's a Louisiana kid.
You know, I don't know about that, but I believe that to be true.
And I wonder if Broncos fans would look at the overall free agent effort differently
if you had ATN.
Now, that said, and I've said so many times before, I'm not sure there's a bigger fan
of JK Dobbins in this town.
And I've been that ever since I saw him in training camp last year.
He's the heart and soul of that offense in my estimation.
He brings them juice.
He brings them toughness.
He's so good in between the tackles.
Even if it's not blocked perfectly, you know, he'll slide and dip and wind up getting
three and a half.
He's got enough burst still at, you know, at this stage of his career that he's a threat
to breaking long run.
He's a good pass receiver.
Obviously, the question is his health and can he stay healthy.
But if you told me, hey, JK Dobbins right now is going to be available in 15 or 16
games.
Do you like him as a starting running back?
Absolutely.
I mean, I think he is a complete difference maker for this team.
But I was surprised that they were unable to sort of make a move in the running back
room.
Would you have overpaid with ETN's contract?
Would you have overpaid there?
Because yeah, I like JK.
I think his vision is definitely top three in the NFL in terms of how he sees and how
he sets up his blockers.
But to me, the injury question is just such a big question mark that I'm just worried
that we get to this point like we did last year, we get to have him out there for 10 weeks
and then we don't have him for the rest of the season.
I'm just hoping, and look, everybody in the NFL is going to get injured at some point
in time throughout the season.
I'm just hoping that it's not out for the season injury.
Yeah.
I think they'll do something else in the running back room.
I really do.
I think the running back room and tight in room wouldn't surprise me at all if they go
after guys reasonably high in the draft with those two positions.
But I'm like you.
I think RJ Harvey is a little bit of a mystery to me.
I thought he improved as the year went on.
He's an excellent pass receiver.
They sure tried to get him the ball a lot.
I think he's hard to get in the ground.
He's stout.
He got good balance to him.
I don't know if we can expect him to take what I would call a leap from year one to two
in terms of his ability to see things and hit it inside.
There was a market difference between the running game when Dobbins was healthy and in the
game and when he was not.
Yeah.
I think this all is also going to come down to Davis Webb to play collar.
That's why this is such a mystery off season.
We're thinking about the running back room and we're thinking about the players resigning
when we're thinking about the trade for Jalen Waddle.
It is all going to come back down to Davis Webb as the play collar and now leader of the
offense and then Bose execution.
How are things installed?
How are they called?
Who's in?
How are players rotating?
It is.
It's fascinating.
But they did.
Yeah.
Jake Wann is back.
He's tender.
Devon Key.
Resign.
Shrenad and Singleton back.
Everybody was given the Broncos a lot of crap and George Payton and Sean Payton for bringing
back the linebacker's thoughts there.
It was sad to see Green Law go because we had such high expectations for him and he's just
one of those guys when you, he's one of those guys that gets off the bus first and you're
like, oh, that's what type of time we're on.
He didn't play and little disappointed to not see him out there but thoughts there
on the resigning of the linebackers.
Yeah.
I thought that I share your feeling on Dre, big, fast linebacker, kind of a tone setter.
Right.
Yeah.
You definitely the first guy off the bus, excuse me.
But in his postseason press conference, excuse me.
I thought that when he talked about the difference between playing in San Francisco for Kyle
Shanahan and playing in Denver for Sean Payton, as soon as, and I'm sure he was telling
the truth, but as soon as he said that, and I was in the studio hearing his comments,
I was like, oh, this is not, this is not going to go well.
This might be the end of this little marriage.
He talked about, you know, San Francisco likes to do things differently and Shanahan likes
to keep his players fresh and Sean practices to an half hours, four days a week.
And all of that in Dre's defense may have been true.
But when you miss as many games as he did, I don't know that that's the last thing you
want to leave the organization with as you head into the office season about how much
you enjoyed playing in San Francisco.
I think it's natural for guys that play for more than one head coach and more than one
organization to draw comparisons between some things you like over here, some things are
better over here.
I get that.
But when I heard the comments, I was like, hmm, I don't, I don't share some of the frustration
Broncos fans have expressed on the singleton signing.
I really don't.
I think he's a smart, glue guy, he's a great locker room.
I think he's a really good player.
I mean, I really do.
He makes a ton of plays.
So I don't quite understand the feeling there.
Not is a guy that is really versatile, that has played special teams forever.
And now he's going to get an opportunity, right?
That's another position I think they may address in the draft.
But he's going to get an opportunity to compete for a starting job.
And that's what guys work for.
You may see the best at a Justin Strinod this year, right?
Did it surprise me that they brought him back a little bit, yeah, a little bit.
But I think in his defense, I mean, you may, as I said, this is a guy, this is really
the first training camp he's going to go to, that he feels like he's got a chance to
compete for the starting job.
Not just be a special teams player that is a backup.
So you may get his absolute best.
Yeah.
And at the end of the day, I think this isn't fantasy football.
And for Broncos, country out there, Sean and George, you got to trust them.
You got to trust them.
And free agency has been a little up and down.
You've had some signings that worked out really, really well, like Maglinchee, but then
you have signings that haven't worked out so much in terms of green law or Evan Ingram.
So it's not just, you can't just go out there and spend a whole bunch of money and try
to turn your, you know, this is not a big roster flip.
You're on the cusp of winning the Super Bowl.
So you have to add the right pieces in the right spots.
Von Miller is expressed wanting to come back here.
I know he has.
He has put it out there in Von's legend.
I know he's going to be back here on April 22nd doing the night of champions thing
with Peyton and Akieb and all those guys.
Joey Bolses out there.
Cameron Jordan is out there.
Hassan Riddick, Jadevian Clowney.
She's Kaleis Campbell.
He's 39.
He's out there.
I don't think Enjouk who got signed.
But any of those names, interesting.
I think Cam Jordan, you know, he had 10 sacks last year.
Yeah, 10 sacks.
Yeah, Tim and Von, both similar.
They know that they are coming off the bench or coming off the sideline.
They are not the guys, but do any of those guys intrigued you in terms of just having
another pass rusher out there for this team to go the extra mile defensively.
Yeah, I mean, Cam is a little bit, I think Cam Jordan is a little bit different, maybe
a lot different than Von.
Cam can play with his hand in the dirt.
Von is going to be, you know, in the Benito and Jonathan Cooper and some of those guys.
He's going to be in that category.
Kaleis Campbell, I mean, I've known since he was in high school.
It's a long time.
Man, I tell you what, he's what is he 39?
39.
And still playing inside.
Yeah.
And still, I mean, Kaleis is, he's one of the biggest people you'll ever meet, great
player.
I think he's a, he's a, he's an excellent human, Hall of Fame player, really.
So depending on what they have left, because you never really know, even though
even though Cam Jordan was productive last year, you never really know, and how you envision
using them moving forward.
I think the key will be one of the Broncos, and they're not going to tell us, but what
are they deep down?
Think about their defensive line now that John Franklin Myers has gone.
Right.
Do you love a wazirique enough?
He had some moments, the big draft choice out of Iowa State, big, big dude.
Do you love him enough that you think you can plug him in and take John Franklin Myers
minutes and not, you know, appreciably lose production?
I don't know.
I think that will depend on just what the team, how they view some of their young dudes.
Yeah.
But you definitely think they should add another pass rusher.
I think, yeah, I think they, I think they will somehow fortify the defensive line.
Yeah.
They'll be a body or two that right now is not here that will be here before training.
Yeah.

They are now starting to make some moves.
The draft is coming up, but other teams around the AFC, we have to be aware of.
Patrick Mahomes and those guys, they signed Kenneth Walker, Michigan State Guy, Super Bowl
MVP, Justin Fields, Chargers, Mike McDaniel as the OC.
They signed the Pro Bowl Center.
The Raiders I thought made a lot of different moves.
They are still the Raiders, but they made a lot of different moves.
It is going to be interesting to see.
One of the things about the offseason is that all of these teams are adding talent and
talent in a whole bunch of different ways.
And the Buffalo Bills, they added DJ Moore and they added somebody who can make plays
downfield.
So I think Broncos Country is, I know why they wanted us to make more moves or the Broncos
to make more moves.
Any free agency signings stand out to you, AFC-wise?
I think I like the waddle move here in Denver more than I like any other receiver addition
to an AFC West team.
It is just going to be interesting to see how they are using.
They will use them differently, I think, than what we have seen of the Broncos, like
utilize Marvin Mims.
I think it will be different.
But I mean, Kenneth Walker is a hell of a running back in Kansas City.
His forte is not past protection nor is it catching the ball.
He just is what it is.
Now he is a really good running back.
So I think, you know, I think with as late as Mahomes towards ACL this past season,
I think it would be, might be generous to think he is going to be ready to go at the
start of the season.
So you hire, you bring in Justin Fields, and now all of a sudden, you know, you can run
some zone read stuff.
You basically have two running backs in the backfield, and a guy that can throw it well
enough that you have to respect that.
So I think that is going to be an interesting, you know, I would guess for the first four
weeks of the season, you're going to see Justin Fields and Kenneth Walker.
And that offense will look a little bit different, right?
The chargers, I think the chargers are interesting.
I think they're counting a lot this year on Omari and Hampton.
I think he, I mean, he was a good young player at a North Carolina.
We'll see.
And that's the interesting, he's the wild card there to me, because that is a different
type of, and you're going to have to play that offense, that type of offense a couple of
different times.
You're going to have to play it in the 49ers, you're going to have to play it in the Rams,
you're going to have to play it in Seattle, and you're now going to have to play it twice
in the division in terms of that West Coast motion, put everybody, you know, just confuse
the deal.
And now with the Raiders too.
Yeah.
Right.
Yeah.
So yeah, I thought the McDaniel hire honestly was a really good one.
Really good one.
Big fan of Mike McDaniel, I think when you go back and look at him, you know, you can
say what you want to know about him as a head coach, maybe, maybe he gets another shot.
I don't know.
Was he quirky?
Sure.
Was he different?
Absolutely.
But when you look at him strategically on film and you look at the running game that he
implemented, man, that it's going to be interesting to see how fast he can get that
thing up and going with the chargers.
And you're playing for a guy that wants to run the football.
Although I think the way McDaniel likes to do it is completely different to what Jim
Harbaugh has been used to.
But you don't hire a guy to come in and run it the way I want to run it.
You hired him to do his thing.
Right.
It's going to be interesting to see.
But yeah, Broncos make a great move and inquiring Jalen Waddle and the draft is up next,
man.
What you got planned for the next couple of weeks?
Just, you know what, doing the show and hanging out and getting ready for the draft, right?
Just because it's always fun to see kind of what not only what the Broncos do, but what
as you just said, some of their competitors do.
Because you know what, you're going to blink and it's going to be July and training camp
and then the grind starts and the fun starts.
Love it, man.
