JC Tretter Elected NFLPA Executive Director

meeting in San Diego, where player reps from all teams gathered over the weekend to discuss business

and meet candidates. Treter brings solid experience, including key work on the 2020

Collective Bargaining Agreement and launching annual team report cards. Those grades pushed

NFL owners to improve facilities, travel, and family perks for players. His past wasn't all smooth,

he led a botched search for the last executive director, a mid-union finance probes, and stepped

down from his strategy role last summer amid backlash. Now Treter faces big challenges like resisting

NFL pushes for an 18th regular season game and more international games. With a current deal

running to 2030, players want to hold firm on revenue shares without rushing new talks.
