0:00What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode we're picking up where we left off with the Jess Staley transcript from his trip to Congress. Question in the email you write quote, I realized the danger in sending this email, but it was great to be able today to give you in New York City a long, heartfelt hug. To my friend, thanks Jess. When you wrote quote, I realized the danger in sending this email, what did you mean by that? Answer again, maintaining a relationship with a convicted felon was a dangerous thing to do, and in hindsight I regret it. Question so you weren't referring to all him violating his house arrest by being in New York? Answer no, I think he was in New York under house arrest. Question were you ever aware of him violating the terms of his house arrest? Answer I was not. Question okay, thank you. I have a few more questions for you about visits to Mr. Epstein's properties and a few clarifications. You said earlier that you never went to Mr. Epstein's Palm Beach home.

1:02Is that correct? Answer correct. Question you said earlier that you went to Mr. Epstein's ranch in New Mexico once, correct? Answer correct. Question did you spend the night? Answer no. Question so you were in Albuquerque for, I think you said a business meeting correct? Answer yes. Question and then you drive to the ranch? Answer I had a driver drive me to the ranch. And I think you said it was about an hour. Answer I think so. Question so you had someone drive you to the ranch. That's about an hour. And then you said you went horseback riding too. Took a shower and then you went to the hot tub. And then you had someone drive you back somewhere else that evening. Answer the same driver who drove me to the airport and I flew home. Question how many hours would you say you spent that Zorro ranch? Answer an hour, maybe an hour, hour and a half. And so it was an hour, a travel time each way and an hour to an hour and a half at the ranch. Answer right. Question that's a lot of travel time for very little time spent at the ranch.

2:03Answer for a whole day, no an hour again. It was described to me as the largest ranch in New Mexico. I had the time. Didn't seem that special. Question I would like to introduce as Minority Exhibit AE in email between Leslie Groff and Mr. Epstein from October 30th, 2009. Its number is EFTA02434380. Question in the email, Ms. Groff writes, quote, Jeffrey just wanted you to know that Jess is all set and organized to stay at the ranch tomorrow night. Is your testimony that you did not spend the night at the ranch? Answer yes. Question, why do you think Ms. Groff was under the impression that you were going to spend the night? Answer, I don't know. Question I would like to introduce as Minority Exhibit AE in email chain between New and Mr. Epstein from October 18th and 19th, 2009. The bait's number is EFTA01300295. Question in the first email, Mr. Epstein writes, quote, London win.

3:04And you respond, quote, could I swing by your house in London on the afternoon of the 27th? Answer yes. Question, did Mr. Epstein have a house in London? Answer yes. Question where was it? Answer, I don't remember. Question you have no recollection. You spend a lot of time in London, correct? Answer yes. Question where you have no recollection where his house in London was. Answer, I never went to his house, but I think it may have been on Mayfair, but I don't really know. Question do you remember if it was a standalone house or a townhouse or an apartment? Answer no. This says it's a house, but I don't know. Question are you aware that Mr. Epstein had at least four flats in Kensington and Chelsea that he used to house women that he trafficked? Answer no. Question, could you have been referring to those flats here? Answer, I was referring to his house in London. Question, why would you have wanted to swing by? Answer because again, I thought it was one of the larger houses in London and it would be interesting to see.

4:05Question in all the years that you were friends with Mr. Epstein and all the time you spent in London, you never went to his house? Answer no because when I was, he gets cut off, we're going to go off record. They come back on. Mr. Ashworth, the majority does not have any further questions at this time. I understand the minority has a handful more questions that they're going to go through and then we'll be finishing up. Thank you, we'll go off the record. Oh, of course the GOP has nothing to ask daily, right? Bunch of clowns. Question, I'd like to ask you some questions about Mr. Epstein's island, Little St. James. You said today that you went twice, once in 2005 and once in 2015, correct? Answer and that I translated through it a third time. Question and what year was that? Answer, I don't recall. Question, okay, I'd like to introduce as minority exhibit AG for flight manifests from February 2005. These manifests indicate that you, your wife, your two daughters flew from JFK to the

5:06Virgin Islands on Mr. Epstein's private plane on February 18th, 2005. You were joined by Mr. Epstein, Glenn Maxwell, and three young women who work for Mr. Epstein among other things. These manifests also indicate that you, your wife, and your two daughters flew from the Virgin Islands to Palm Beach on Mr. Epstein's private plane on February 21st, 2005. And at the same time, three young women who work for Mr. Epstein accompanied you. Finally, there's a manifest showing you, your wife, and your two daughters flying from Palm Beach to Titoboro, New Jersey on Mr. Epstein's private plane on February 22nd, 2005. We'll go off the record briefly to give you time to review the manifests. Question, if you, your wife, and your daughter flew to the Virgin Islands on February 18th, and then did not fly back until February 21st, did you stand Mr. Epstein's island between the 18th and the 21st? If you want to answer, I apologize. I don't see the name of my family, nor myself, on the passenger manifest.

6:10Question, sure. The manifests are confusing. If you look at the first page, you'll see the date of the flight is February 18th, and the trip number is 322. Answer, right? Question, you can see Mr. Epstein is the first passenger. He's listed as number one. If you go down to number 12, it says Jeff. It then says female guest. Female female. Answer, yep. Question, if you flip the next page about halfway down the page, not quite, it says February 18th, 2005. Flight 322. James Staley, Miss Staley, redacted and redacted. Answer, okay. Question, so what we believe, because these are the same flights on the same date, is that Jeff is a typo, and that should say Jeff. Answer, right? Question, and that the three female guests are your family members. Answer, okay. Question, so did you and your family stand, Mr. Epstein's Island, between February 18th and February 21st? Answer, as I said, my wife and I visited the family and visited Epstein, and this sort

7:14of confirms that. Question, so you stayed on his Island. Answer on his Island, yes. Question from the night of the 18th through the 21st. Staley, along with the doobens, yes. Question, that's different from what you had testified to previously, correct? Answer, no, why? How so? Question I believe you told the financial conduct authority, that you spent the single night on Epstein's Island with your wife. Answer, I thought it was a single night. But this implies that it was two nights or three nights. Question, you did testify before the financial conduct authority that you recall, this is according to their decision, that you recall visiting Mr. Epstein's Island with your wife, spending the night there in 2005 or 2006. So it appears it was your whole family, and it was more than one night, correct? Answer, it appears that way, yes. Question, it also appears that the three young women who work for Mr. Epstein also stayed on the island with you, because they are on the flight there on the 18th, and then they're

8:15on the flight back on February 21st. Answer, yeah, I wouldn't characterize Sarah Kellan as the young woman, I recognize redacted, I don't know who redacted is. Question, did you and your family socialize with these women? Answer, no. Question, did you engage in sexual activity with these women? Answer, no. Question, other than the people listed on the manifest in the first page of the exhibit was anyone else on the island? Answer, I don't even know whether all these people were on the island. I just remember my wife, my family, and the doovins were on the island. Question, and you remember anyone else on the island who wasn't necessarily on the flight to the island? Answer, no except for the people that worked there. Question, the manifest show that you fly from Virgin Islands to Palm Beach on February 21st, and then from Palm Beach to Tito Burrow on February 22nd. So it appears that you also spent the night in Palm Beach, is that correct? Answer, that's what this appears to show. I don't recall that, but that's what this appears to show.

9:16Question, do you remember where you stayed when you spent the night in Palm Beach? Answer, no. And would you have stayed at Mr. Epstein's home in Palm Beach? Answer, no. Question, you're confident that you would not have stayed at his home? Answer very confident. Question, why is that? Answer if I was traveling with my whole family, I wouldn't stay at someone's house like that. Question, I'd like to introduce this minority exhibit, AH, to emails from you to Mr. Epstein on January 15th, 2010. The Bates numbers are EFTA 01300416 and EFTA 01821546. In the first email you say arrived at your harbor, someday we have to do this together. In the second email you say quote, that was cool. And Mr. Epstein responds, yep, great seeing you. And again both of these are from the same day. Was this another trip to Mr. Epstein's island? Answer no, I believe this was me arriving, on my boat, he owned a marina in St. Thomas, and I believe I was talking about me sailing, I believe, when he said his harbor, I believe

10:19it was to the marina. Question in the second email which again is from January 15th, you say that was cool. Answer, uh-huh. Question, do you know what you're referring to? Answer no. Question if you were just arriving at Mr. Epstein's marina. Would you have seen him? Answer possibly, he may have come over and looked at my boat. Question so when he said yep, great seeing you. Use a possible that he was at the marina. Answer yes, possible. Question is also also possible. This was an instance in which you visited Little St. James. Answer I don't think so because it says, arrived at your harbor. And again, I think the harbor refers to the harbor in St. Thomas, where he owns a marina, but I'm not sure.
