Jets Draft Darrell Jackson Jr., Cade Klubnik, More

On April 29th, the New York Jets wrapped up the 2026 NFL Draft on April 25th with four

solid day three picks to round out there.

Class.

After grabbing defensive star David Bailey, Titan Kenyon Sadiq, Speedy Omar Cooper Jr.,

and Cornerback D'Angelo Ponds in the first three.

Rounds, they added defensive tackled Daryl Jackson Jr. at Pick-1W3, quarterback Cade

Clubnick at 110, guard a Nez Cooper, at 188, and defensive back VJ Payne at 228, earlier

in the fourth round, the Jets snagged Florida State's massive Daryl Jackson Jr., a six-foot-five

beast with huge arms to beef up there.

Interior defensive line alongside to Vondrey Sweat and David Anyamada.

Right after, they traded up with the Bengals to Land Clemsons, Cade Clubnick, a pocket passer

with good accuracy who threw for nearly 3,000 yards last season perfect as a developmental

project behind Geno Smith.

Jets fans are buzzing about the value here, especially with the trades showing they wanted

these guys bad.

Jackson brings starter upside to a deep but aging D-line group while Clubnick gives hope

for future backup or more, even if his past rush grade.

It's smart deaf building after losing some linemen in free agency.

Meanwhile, in the sixth round, they moved up again to Grand Miami's six-foot-six, 334-pound

guard, on as Cooper, a four-year.

Starter ready to develop as a right guard replacement.

Then kept it with Kansas State's six-foot-three VJ Payne, a versatile safety who locked down

passes in college and could learn from vets like Minka.

These late-round gyms add competition and long-term pieces across the trenches, and back end time

will show if any break out, but the Jets drafted with purpose to stay competitive.
