Jets' Mougey's Draft Magic: 8 Picks, 4 Trades

On April 29th, Jets General Manager Darren Movie just orchestrated what many call a killer

draft for the team, landing eight solid picks in, Pittsburgh last week.

Despite no wins yet this season, they're buzzing as one of the big winners, from Edge

Russia David Bailey at pick number two all the way to safety VJ.

Pain at number 228.

Last year, Moogie jumped right in after head coach Aaron Glinn hired him, snagging seven

players who all cracked the 53 man roster and chipped in during gains.

This time around, with a full year under his belt, he rolled out fresh systems and tweaks

to their scouting process.

Folks around the league are praising Moogie as a trading wizard, especially for his head

spinning moves over two drafts.

He pulled off four trades this year alone, like swapping picks to grab Indiana, wide receiver

Omar Cooper Jr. at number 30, Clemson quarterback, Kade Klubnik and number 110, and

Miami guard, Anes Cooper at number 188.

Movie credits his staff for buying into the overhaul, creating their own evaluation

scale and upgrading the IT setup with help from developers, Chris, Miller and Iwo Fusillo.

That may visualizing the draft board way smoother, letting them track gems like Klubnik,

who they graded high despite his injury setbacks.

Over two years, 15 of their draft picks could feel nearly 30% of the opening day roster

come September, setting the jets up for real.

Momentum as these young guns prove their worth on the field.
