Now heading into the 2026 season, the team's success hinges on Soto delivering big power

after his standout 2025 campaign.

He hit a career high 43 home runs with a .396 on base percentage and .921 slugging mark

over 160 gains.

Soto showed elite plate discipline, ranking in the top percentile for chase rate and walks,

even as his on-base dipped a bit from prior years.

With Peter Lanzo and Brandon Nemo gone, the Met's need his bat to drive and runs, especially

without those former lineup anchors.

Fans and experts worry about Soto shifting to left field, but the real focus is his approach

at the plate.
