Jury Convicts Oxendine in Lil Jbo's Murder

On April 7th, a North Carolina jury convicted 27-year-old Chamberlain Oxendine of second-degree

murder in the death of rapper Lil Jabo, delivering a verdict in under an hour after closing

arguments.

The shooting went down on June 27th, 2023, at a home in Robison County, where prosecutors

used DNA evidence to dismantle the defense's self-defense argument, no fingerprints from

the 20-year-old rapper on the gun.

Lil Jabo's mother, Shana Lowry, pushed through years of tough bond hearings, reliving the

pain each time, while the rapper left behind three young, kids and a community that now

The week-long trial featured over 20 witnesses and surveillance video, leading straight to
