Kaiir Elam Joins Kansas City Chiefs

On April 2nd, Kair Elam, the cornerback who flopped hard with the Dallas Cowboys last year,

just signed a free agent deal with the Kansas City, Chiefs.

This guy is a former first-round pick by the Buffalo Bills back in 2022,

and now he's on his 14th and his 5th pro season.

Dallas traded for him in the 2025 off season, giving up a 5th round pick and a 7th rounder the next year,

but it turned into a total bust.

Earlier this week, Elam's agent confirmed the move to Kansas City,

where they're short on cornerbacks after losing Trent McDuffy in a trade to the.

Rams and Jalen Watson to free agency.

The Chiefs see him as depth, nothing more, especially after his rocky path since leaving Buffalo.

Fans and analysts call that Cowboys trade a disaster from the jump,

since Elam struggled big time there too.

He looks sharp in training camp with some picks, building hype,

but regular season exposed him quick.

10 games, 7 starts, giving up 3.

Touchdowns and a passer rating over 100 when targeted.

After Dallas cut him loose in late November, Elam bounced to the Tennessee Titans for 4 games,

no starts, and actually held up better with a passer.

Rating under 50.

That brief improvement might give Kansas City some hope for spot duty.
