2:03Okay, off of a weekend that has seen a triumphant farewell per Katie Taylor what an atmosphere as we thought. In Ireland, we're ready to recap that. Hey, a funny thing happened on the way to Andy Ruiz getting back into heavyweight title contention. Whoops. And what in the world? What in the name of the Marcus of Queensborough rules? Was this with the referee? A shenanigans Dan Rayfield going on on the referee giving Ruiz a week to recover from the knockdown before he let Keniba come in to try to finish him off. We got, we got the controversy that I alluded to with Ruiz. And I might have mentioned that your trip to the dentist upcoming might be shorter than the amount of time the ref gave you to recover after the knockdown in that fight. How about you inform me of this? I did not know this. We had a worldwide broadcast on Dizzone that was a silent movie like Charlie Chaplin was starring in it at the beginning of it. I was not aware of this on the Katie Taylor card. We had that going on. We had the wrong winner announced in the ring on the Katie Taylor undercard. Did you know this? And they had to come back and correct it. I've seen that before that. I mean, it's unfortunate. It's unfortunate.

4:04Unforgivable. Unforgivable. Oh, man, I'm ready to launch. I'm ready to launch on all these things. Thank you for finding us. Arguably this is the biggest remaining fight. I know Canelo's fight is later in October, but not many people know Christian Mbilly. This is this is a massive fight week. The most fresh, the Katie Taylor win Saturday night in Ireland, Saturday afternoon, U.S. time. Not a surprise that she defeated Flora Pilly and retained her versions of the women's junior well to weight championship. And then also won the vacant WC WBC version that makes her a three time undisputed champion, Hall of Famer. And Dan, we can't oversell this. I mean, boxing is special. And this was special. I mean, they had every bit of 80,000. What did they announce? I mean, it obviously was nuts. Yeah, they people were there. 83,000. It's one of the top. The post wart year, if you will, like the six biggest attendance all time. You know, you have the chavis fight against Hogan. That was like 130, two or three thousand. Right. In the, as Tekken Stadium in Mexico, that was obviously you

6:05mongous event. And then you have the handful of the other big sort of wimbley fights. You've got Klitschko against Joshua. You've got other Joshua, I think Dubois. And there's a few others. But this was on that list. 83,000. I mean, and as Katie Taylor pointed out post fight, she's not sure if there's another country anywhere in the world that would have a 83,000. Croud for a female sports event. Much less. Correct. In a country where women's boxing was against the law until 2001. But Katie was the trailblazer or one of the trailblazers that helped make it legal and went on to star in the Olympics and went to gold medal in 2012. The heartbreak of her loss in the opening round bout in 2016 Olympics. And then of course, a glorious professional career for her in a decade where, as you mentioned, three time undisputed champion once in the lightweight division where she defended the title many, many times. And now two times in the junior welterweight division.

7:06It really should be once in the junior welterweight division. But when she took a break after the third Toronto fight last year. The WBC moved her to the in recess champion and, you know, the vacant, the title became vacant and she won that back. It would have become vacant again and she won that against Pilly. But it was a spectacle of spectacles. I mean, I wasn't there. And I, but I know what those events are like is I've been to some big ones like, which go in Joshua and Canelo Alvarez in 18 T. Stadium against Billy Joe Sauners. And that was something else with the, the Pad and tree of it. And I don't know TJ and this is take any big name. Forget about just a boxer, but just athlete in general. Is there a more beloved athlete in their in her country than Katie Taylor Ireland? Like you can make the ice cream. Yeah. Yeah. And he's more beloved than like Canelo in Mexico or even maybe Manny Pacquiao in the Philippines. I mean, pick, pick your, in the boxing world, your box or that, that is beloved in their nation more than like in a way in Japan.

8:09And she is just, it's a phenomena. What is what she has done? And we kept stressing we are here in the United States. You're in Northern Virginia. I'm in the state of Florida. A lot of people think I'm in the state of confusion. I'm in the state of Florida in Tampa Bay. So we don't have the same appreciation because we're not there. She is every bit a national hero in that country. And you saw it. You, you saw proof of it the other night. It's incredible. Although she's she, she basically for the last number of years lives in Connecticut. There you go. But still, that's how beloved she is. And I love it. And there's really not a lot to the fight. You can get into this. I love the moment where in the post fight comments. She just stopped and said, hang on for a second. I want to stand here and look around at this. And yeah, that was the, yes. You were doing the interview with Jamie Ward on the zone who does a great job and it's posted interviews. But that was not a rough assignment because like you said, there wasn't a lot to talk about with the fight. We all knew what this was all about. And so she kind of like took the microphone.

9:10And when she finished anything all of her team and her and her and her promoters and editor here and her manager Brian Petersen, you know, her parents and her husband and the whole thing, you know, when he tried to get the mic back. But she was very nice about it. She's like, hey, give me a second. I want to look around. I want to look around. I want to look around. I want to see where it was fine. I mean, who, you know, let's let's back up the moment when she's walking in the ring. It's just different. You've been there so many times. And it was a long ring walking. She could kind of soak it in there. This sport is different in that regard. And she said she did. She did take the time to soak it in. And it just shows you the type of professionalism that she has. And others who've been in those big spots is that you're. You don't want to let yourself get overwhelmed by that moment because it can get very emotional. And you see all the people on the other noise. And you know, it doesn't take much to kind of get you out of your game face, I guess, in a way. But once she said in there, I watched her post fight in her, not the postman interview, but a while after the fight when she did her post fight press conference.

10:11And she was asked about the ring walk and the emotion and the whole thing. And she says, listen, I, I took my time. I knew this was the last one. I wanted to soak it in. I looked around. It was amazing. She was a very appreciative for all the support and the love that people showed to her. But she said, once I stepped through the ropes, I'm in the ring. I was able to flip the switch. And that's what the great ones do. They block all the other stuff out. And they're able to just do their job. And she did that. And I mean, look, she won the fight going away. This was not competitive. It was a shut out on two scorecards. One judge gave her two rounds, Pilly, which is maybe the on the outside best. She probably had the one round that I mean, I didn't give her any rounds. But the one round I could have given her. The Pilly was the seventh round. That was if you, and I didn't know this at the time, I looked after the fact that was the one round, according to copy box, where Pilly actually landed more punches in the ring. Then Katie Taylor did all the rest of the rounds. Katie Taylor may be given her the first round because nobody did much of anything in that round too. But yes, but the point is a two nine one something like that easy. Yeah, it was a wipe out type of fight because.

11:13But I think Pilly actually would probably do well against some other fighters in the division. But Katie was just, it's a different level. But she did what she did. She was a smaller fighter. Katie, but she, you know, she's mastered the jab. Jump in with your right hand land and get out of the way. I mean, it's a big that's the big part and a little bit of holding here and there to kind of. To kind of slower down and you know what when you're doing two minute rounds, it's a lot easier to kind of kill the clock for a few seconds. Then if you're in a three minute round Katie, unlike, you know, the Serrano and Alicia Baumgarner and a few others. She's never showed a lot of interest in doing the three minute rounds. She was content and pleased to do the two. And she also has the a side for all of her fights was able to dictate those types of things. So that's what she did, but she's she mastered it and she won going away. I mean, it wasn't the most exciting fight, but the the pageantry and the event and the whole thing and the crowd made it very, very interesting to watch. You know, there was some moments where Pilly, you know, who was, I think was kind of like concerned about the right hand.

12:16Because it's so it wasn't that Katie's a big puncher, but the punch she's so quick with that shot, even at age 40. She was much faster than Pilly who was 29. So she was, I think, being careful in that obviously, if you get behind against Katie, especially in that atmosphere in the hometown and the fair well and everything, you got no chance on the cards. The last round was very exciting. They let it all hang out. Oh, yeah, the final 30 seconds, especially. And 15 seconds and they just stood in there and blasted away. And I thought it was great because you could hear in the quarter after round number nine, Katie Taylor's trainer Ross Mennett, who's been with her her role career. You know, there was a couple other exchanges where I felt like she won because she was the faster fighter. Getting her punches in there much quicker. If you do look at the convoy box, she was overwhelmingly more in terms of overall punches. Landed an throw, not a surprise. But it's one of the rare times, frankly, where the fight itself completely took the second place to what the event was, which was her farewell. Thank you, basically, to all the people that supported her for the last 10 years and even back when she was an amateur, kicking ass in the Olympics and other amateur tournaments. I mean, look, the way I wrote about the fight, I hope people go and check out my sub stack report on it.

15:23This cannot be lost on anybody. What's occurred over the last 20-something years, 30 years, really, of her life. When she first started to go to the gym, her father was a, her father Pete was an amateur boxer. And she kind of was, she was introduced to the sport of boxing by her dad. But boxing for women in Ireland was illegal. It just simply was against the law. It didn't become legal until 2001. I mean, it seems like that's kind of crazy, but that was the reality. But she was not going to be denied. So this young girl is going to the gym and she's wearing boys clothes. She's taking her nice long hair and she's hiding it underneath the headgear to sort of hide her gender and she's fighting boys. Now the coach is new in a kind of turn of blind eye. She would go to amateur tournaments where girls were not allowed to compete and to kind of also disguise what she was doing. She would sign up under the name K Taylor, K period. They didn't put her first name. Could have been Ken, could have been Katie, whatever. And she was competing against boys.

16:26And now if you fast forward, she is a trailblazer in getting the Olympic movement for women's boxing established. She finally, competes in the Olympics in 2012. She wins the gold medal. She is beloved and revered in her country. As I mentioned earlier, she goes back to the Olympics in 2016. And she spoke about this a little bit on the podcast interview I did with her that it's the most disappointing moment of her entire career pro or amateur where she was eliminated in the opening round bout of the Olympics. She says, I don't think I'd ever been eliminated in the first round of a tournament in my entire amateur career. But in the biggest moment on the Olympics, I know she was out and what she went, she got home. Everybody was still supporting her and still showing her love and all that. And then she took it upon herself. She was sending like direct messages on social media to Eddie Herne saying, look, I'm thinking about turning pro. Maybe, you know, could we talk and Eddie at that point he was not involved with women's boxing. But he took a flyer. He met with her. It was impressed by her thoughts and signed her and you know, as they say in that famous sign felt episode, yada yada yada.

17:30She requires as one of the greatest legend in history of her country. And the irony of what you were saying is she's trying to hide her identity to be able to fight with boys in amateur boxing. And now everybody knows who she is in the sport in women's boxing. Everybody knows that name. And especially with the high profile fights with Serrano and the escalation of attention in and around women's boxing in North America in in the UK, etc. And then I heard that she's been in Ireland now. Yes, it's it's been an amazing career for her. She says she's done. Got a lot of options obviously to do commentary made a ton of money. Got to do commentary work with other fighters can do a lot of other things. I tell you what, when I what I liked about what she said, she did say to me and also in the interview with that, you know, she would like to say involve. I'm not saying some capacity I could see her working in some way in the amateur program, you know, she's been such an inspiration to so many young women, not just in Ireland, but I think throughout boxing. You know, kind of broke the doors down to allow them to do it, particularly in Ireland, like I said, it was illegal for a long period of time.

18:35But you know, she's like, I'm just going to I'm meeting today on Sunday. She's not making any decisions right away. She doesn't need to that she's going to just chill out. She's been a nice celebration. You'll look back on this great career that she had. And but the one thing that she was talking about was, you know, now I'm going to I can eat whatever I want. I can put my feet up and rest. I mean, you know, obviously, making reference to spending the last, you know, decades making wait for all of her fights and her tournaments in this net. So I thought that was kind of a funny, a funny remark. But yeah, she's, I don't think she's coming back to the ring. I mean, you can't ever possibly top what she just went through on Saturday. So why why I mean, there's nothing to accomplish. There's nothing else to prove against anybody else. And you you go out like that very few times. Do you get to go out in something like that? So she said, but still yes. In the post fight in her post fight press conference, she said number one that this was this event this night was the highlight of her entire career, including all the big wins and all the other big events that she was involved in.

19:37And she was talking about how you know, I didn't think anything could possibly top. You know, the winning the gold medal at the 2012 Olympics. And then she got the fight with Serrano and Madison Square Garden. They're the first women to sell out the building first main event of women ever. She didn't think anything ever top that. And then you know, she ended up fighting this big fight at Crock Park. That was the thing she always wanted, which is the national stadium of Ireland. And it was they had tried on various occasions to make something happen. It didn't happen. You know, not lost on her is the fact that the only other for the last time they've been boxing in Crock Park. You got to go all the way back to 1972 before she was born when the great Muhammad Ali had a fight there. You know, all those years ago. And she said, and I quote, I'm ending my career on top, which is what every athlete wants to do. I'm ending on my terms as the undisputed champion. And that's exactly I wanted to end. I'm looking forward to putting my feet up and relaxing for a while. What a perfect ending. Yep. That's the ending of the movie. I can see if they make the movie when it's all said I'm done. The last shot is sitting down on the catch from putting her feet up.

20:39You like it. You like it for that. Okay. So the rest of this. There's not a whole lot in terms of newsworthy off the undercard, except there was some bizarre stuff. So let's start with the co feature fight with Dave Allen and a fighter named Thomas Cardi. I don't know Thomas Cardi and I didn't have to know him because Ray feel in the middle of the first round. He fell through the ropes coming at Allen and landed unfortunately awkwardly down by the ring apron and down on the floor. And the fight is over. This was a bizarre. Go ahead. This is one of the craziest. I mean, I've seen guys go out of the ring before. I mean, the famous one with Hossie Rockman. In his first fight, Oleg Maskayev. Fight I was ringside for when Joe Smith, Jr. Knock Bernhard Hopkins out of the ring and what was Bernhard Hopkins's final fight and opponent that was my suggestion. So I've seen these types of things in the past, but this was kind of crazy. First of all, Dave Allen, you know, the very popular sort of beloved journeyman, every man, British heavyweight. He's had gotten knocked out by fellow party that's earlier this year in May. This was a third fight since then. He gets this fight against Cardi.

21:49And like you said, first round, he lands a punch behind the head, not on purpose. It didn't look like what the punch landed behind Cardi's head. And I guess it was a hard enough shot to make him kind of pitch forward and essentially did like a Superman dive face first out of the ring and landed on his head on the ground, which looked faint. He went, he went like between the top straight of the rope and then like the third rope. There were four ropes. He went through it head first. And they're showing the video of him laying there on the ground. He didn't look like he could get up. I mean, has 20 seconds, but there was no way he was getting up. So it was clear. It wasn't a matter to me anyway. It wasn't that the fight was over. It's a matter of, are they going to call that knockout? Are they going to call that this qualification and say something about the punch beyond the head? Is it going to be an accidental foul, which I felt it was accidental and rule it in no contest. So it was kind of they took several minutes to sort of figure out what to do in the end. They ruled it in no contest, which I think was probably the right call. You know, there's some that suggested Cardi went out of the ring on purpose, which I even if that's true, I don't know anyway that's going to go out and play down. How and why would he take that risk? That's just ass and I I'll use the ass and I that's ass and I it was a disappointing result.

23:00I mean, not that it was the most meaningful fight in the world, but if you know to have your way, they're going to be there and let us see him. You know, Duke it out for a couple of rounds at least. So it was kind of weird. It was only the whole fight only lasted a minute and 22 seconds. He was on the floor. And then at that point, you got a long period of time between the end of that co feature, which was scheduled for 10 rounds and then Katie Taylor's next. So they spent a lot of time. Yeah, I'm talking. But then they had all the page and during the build up and they had the concert of that popular Irish pop that was the West West Lake or something like that. I wasn't watching that and I don't know of them. I have to ask my twins my age. But anyway, that was one time where I actually didn't mind all the jammer between the fights because they were the scenes were so impressive and all that. And anyway, so yeah, that was the co feature and then further down the card. The one that was certainly in my mind anyway, more meaningful than what we saw in that heavyweight fight. Was you had Patty Donovan who was a bonafide welterweight contender who looked really good in his fight. I mean, Patty is he's had a little bit of a tough luck in recent times. I mean, he was the if you remember, wasn't that long ago, we had the disqualification loss against Lewis Crocker last year.

24:05They were fighting in an eliminator to get a shot at the title. He got disqualified for what was not on purpose anyway, a punch after the bell in the eighth round where he had, you know, I didn't, you know, I knocked him out. And I cost him the fight. Unfortunately, they had an immediate renash that became for the vacant title. And he ended up losing a very close split decision in that fight. So he had the two losses in a row to Crocker. He came back in May of this year in Germany against your boy Karen, Chicago, and he won a majority decision, although it probably should have been unanimous. And that was a title eliminator. So he's sitting there in position with once again with the IVF, but he wasn't going to just sit around and wait. So they put him on this card against an Irish fighter named Tyrone McKetta was been in the ring with a lot of good guys over the years. You know, Patty, clearly the favorite, but he looked real sharp in this fight. I was, I was like, you know, he, and I would like to see him staying busy too. That's a good thing. He put him down in the second round. He caught him over the eye in the fourth round. It was pretty bad. And then the referee of the doctor recommended the fight be stopped.

25:05And it was over after round number four. So he gets in some solid rounds. And, you know, I don't know when he's going to get his next opportunity, but no question of my mind that Patty Donovan, if he gets another opportunity, he's got a good chance to win a world title in my mind. I mean, he was a prospect from day one when he was with top right for a long time and still is a top quality guy in that division, maybe at the lower part of the top 10, but he's, he can definitely do some things. So that is obviously interesting in a, in a Walter Wade division that is littered with big names and stars to try to get back in the mix. I need to make one more comment that you mentioned at the top of the show. The first 15 minutes of the Dizzone broadcast. It was ridiculous. Silent movie. So not, I mean, it's one thing a minute, two minutes. I mean, whatever. It should never happen. But you know, I get it. 15 full minutes. So what I would no sound just odd. Just just a video. So what I don't know and we would have to find this out was at that case worldwide for everybody. It was the zone period. It wasn't my. It was everywhere. I know. But I mean, it's one of those were obviously they were having something problem where everybody can hear in the local community.

28:21In the croak park facility in the truck and everybody's talking and everybody's doing their job. But for whatever reason that audio is not making it on to the broadcast and being sent out. And at one point it turned into French broadcast. So then we had a bilingual situation. I think France now go. I was from. Can I add something? Can I add something else to this that we have a fighter go flying out of the ring Superman asked in the co feature. You mentioned there's no audio. We had an undercard fight where they announced the wrong winner in the ring in a six round fight. And they announced this well after I mean the fighters had left the ring, etc. And it's because the referees card. They misunderstood the referee scores the fight a lot of times with the British boxing board of control. This was not the British box of word of control. DJ was the. Whatever the Irish was then. The referee was scoring the fight and the referee scored the fight for the fighter that was announced the loser in a split decision situation. This was a middleweight fight between Paul Ryan and 11 to Irishman against his countryman Patty Gallagher.

29:26It was a six rounder. The referee ruled the fight 58 55. And the result was incorrectly announced that Gallagher had been the winner when in fact it was Paul Ryan that won. That's not a disowned problem. That's not a disowned problem, but that's a real problem with the people that are operating the fight because you let them leave the ring with the guy thinking he lost. And by the way, I have seen that before I remember a couple of our moments with that occurred. I mean, one I was at there were back in the day. This was after the 2000 Olympics. One of the big prospects off that team was a band and way to win a bronze medal from Washington DC Clarence Vincent the nephew of the great Mark two sharp Johnson. And he was fighting. I believe it was an Oscar De La way undercard. I want to say cast the lay. Oh, you can look that up. I don't doubt you want any of this. If you're saying that's what it was, I believe you. So he's fighting on this undercard and like I forget if it's like a four rounder or six rounder. And they announced the decision that the other guy had won the fight and never was like, holy shit. What is that? And then they were still in the ring. And you know, within a, you know, I guess a minute or so or two.

30:27Then they came back to the microphone and said, you know, we made a mistake. It was actually Clarence Vincent that was the winner of the fight. So that was nipped in the well. The most famous example is my Saint Pete guy, Ronald Winky right, the wink, the Hall of Famer, who lost his title in the locker room when they came to him and said there's been a scoring error where it was not, it was announced as a draw and he retained the title as I remember. But the scoring error, the math error meant the other guy won by one point actually. And they came in the locker room and took his title and said, you've lost another. Another pretty famous one. Go back to 2000. This was a ESPN Friday night fights world title fight. It was the rematch for the WBC lightweight title between Jose Luis Castillo, who had defeated Stevie Johnson in June of 2000. So, you know, a few months earlier in an upset. I was actually at that fight and it was the final main event ever for ABC on wide world of sports. So Castillo fairly unknown at the time or if you did know him, you knew him only as a Julio Cesar Chavez.

31:31He wins a majority decision over Stevie Johnson to claim the WBC title. They do a rematch, like I said, three months later. They go to Denver, which is Stevie Johnson's hometown. They fight the rematch. And Johnson in front of his hometown is declared the winner. Celebration. He wins the title back in a great fashion in front of the hometown crowd. And then they have to, then they look back at the cards and they realize, shit, we fucked up. It's actually a draw. So they had to go back to the dressing room where Stevie's celebrating with his team and informing him that he did not win the belt from him. Yes. So, you know, that, and then Castillo, you know, was cool about he actually Johnson actually went into the dressing room for Castillo and gave him the belt back. He showed a lot of class in the, but that's a, that's a terrible amount. I mean, it's one thing in a six rounder like we just talked about on this undercard or even if it only is like again another like four or six round fight. And they nip it in the butt in like a minute or two in the ring. Could you imagine winning the world title in this very emotional rematch in front of your home fans and then come into the dressing room and say, oh, by the way, you lost.

32:36Not only did you not get the title, you didn't lose a draw. It's a draw and you got it. We got to give a, you got to give a, you got to give a belt back. And Stevie Johnson, Stevie Johnson was never champion again after that. You know, he had some other fights. But that was, that was, you know, Stevie was that, I mean, anybody that was around following boxing like to mid to late 90s, early 2000s, Stevie Johnson was one hell of a fighter. You getting nostalgia right here right off the bat. Let us back up. Shall we to Friday? Oh my God. Rayfield. I was ready to do this recap on Friday night after I saw this and saw what went down. However, we let it go until right now. By the way, I have to chestize my man, Big Dan. You very much undersold as it turns out, Damien Kaniba. I'll still undersell him. He's thanks. Well, he didn't stink on Friday night in Newark, New Jersey. He put on a great performance against Andy Ruiz. You will get annihilated by any talk that you want. That may be true. But you're still underselling the fact that he was good on Friday night. What I was underselling is how fucking shot in the Ruiz. Well, now he is, but you were also selling a whole by grounds.

33:37He's got to fast, he's got the fast hands. What turns out when you're inactive and you're 37 years old, you're not. His hands were so pretty quick. I'll say that. But in the end, Kaniba gets the victory, the Polish American fighting in New Jersey. But we got to talk about the controversy in this seventh round where Kaniba has the moment. He has Ruiz hurt. He heard him with a good right upper cut. Has him concussed. He's obviously staggered and concussed. And he's down. And the referee, by the way, I need you to educate me. Tell me more about this referee, David Frank Yoci, if that's how you say it. Yeah. That's the ref who was going to stop the fight. He was jumping in to stop the fight. And then Ruiz kind of fell into him while another punch was being taken. And then he froze like, I don't know what to do. I'm not stopping it. Okay. Now I'm going to start counting. I'll tell Kaniba to get in the corner. And then Rayfield, it's a week before figuratively before he lets Kaniba get back at him.

34:40We got so much to go over here on this because it's way too long to reason. That should have been the end of the fight for two reasons. All right. So I'll just set it up this way. First of all, the knockdown happens in the seventh round of Ruiz shocking. But this is why we love boxing. He's on the ground with 33 seconds left on the disowned timer on the clock. So give or take the mandatory eight count being an extra second or two. There should still be 23 seconds left in the round. Right? And he's going to wipe the gloves off. He's going to do the full field to grind. The full field to grind. A test business. And up it up it eight means at worst there should still be 23 seconds left on the clock. There's actually 24 seconds left on the clock as he got up at the count of five. He's got his back to the referee, which is a bad sign. He's not responding to it. Those two steps that have been put in by most commissions are there that if the fighter doesn't respond, the ref is supposed to stop the fight. He says, walk to me. Ruiz doesn't do it because he's can cost. I don't have to be a neurosurgeon. I can look and tell. He says, put your gloves up and Ruiz doesn't do it.

35:42And Sergio Morra says on the broadcast, they have to stop this fight right then and there because he saw he's can cost the ref. Ref feel this guy who I'm going to have you educate me in a second then says, are you okay? And then he says on the audio, if you take another punch like that, I'm going to have to stop. What are you doing? This is not in between rounds. What are you doing? This is protection of the A side. So you believe it was that blatant that he's protecting the main event. A side. The main is a great key. A lot of fights. He's a Jersey referee. I don't have. I mean, I'm sure he's done some world title fights, but not the most experienced in that level. Done a lot of the club shows in Jersey and you know, if you look at his record, it's David Frank, I've seen him before. Have you seen him in a world title fight? I was I don't I can't remember, but I'm fairly sure he's done. You know, I'm going to be a little bit more careful. But I'm fairly sure he's done, you know, at least some. What are you? I described it to the audience. If I didn't see it, what do you make of what I just described?

36:42You're exactly right. I agree with everything. He's standing. He's standing there talking to the fighter instead of letting Kaniba come in to finish him off. If he's going to let the fight go on, he costs Kaniba the opportunity. Yes. And land another couple of shots when the guy was still fucked up. Well, hey, he could have just stopped the fight. Yes. As Sergio Moro suggested. Okay. You want to give him the benefit of the doubt. It's only down the one time he wasn't taking a beating in the fight or anything like that. You let it go. He's a former heavyweight champion. I'll get it. But then you let it go. You don't you don't do a 10 minute field sobriety test. I like to call it. I mean, I understand there's certain rules that they've slightly altered to give the referee a little bit of a better. Way of looking at assessing whether the guy can continue or not. But there has to be a line. It can't go on or not and not not the hope that there's no other sport like boxing or any combat where the time is such of the essence. Where you know, so I don't think it's the difference in winning. I defer to you on most of this. I don't look at it as crooked. I just looked at it as incompetent. He was incompetent in that moment on.

37:44He froze. He did it. Yes. Yes. And by the way, we stopped before he went down. Yes. And by the way, Kaniba comes in in the final 10 seconds and lands a couple of punches. And I thought he was going to stop the fight then too because Andy Ruiz flailed for a second. And I thought he was going to end it. And it's remarkable. But this is this is why in those kind of situations, if you can stop the fight and end the fight, you want to do it. But Ruiz recovered enough in between rounds to not only survive. I thought he won the eighth round. He didn't win many rounds, but I thought he won the eighth round. He did have a big bounce back round in the eighth. 38:47But the bigger picture besides that nonsense is is Andrew Ruiz at 36 years old coming off of a two year layoff. As I wrote, if you were telling me that a fighter who hadn't fought for two years was now 36 was coming back, you know, he basically looked like you would most people would figure he would look, which was not very good. Now that said, I thought even in a diminished state, he would be good enough to beat Kaniba, who I have seen many, many times and probably never been impressed ever for five seconds by him. And he's like a big, strong guy that's kind of just loafed around the ring and didn't really have any discernible skills other than a solid jab, which he worked for a while. He did well the other night. I was talking to the credit for this. He was in great shape number one. Yeah. He was, and he saw him bouncing on his toes and boxing the way he was boxing and using the jab, which is kind of unusual when you see a man that large to box like that. You know, he's a very tall six foot seven, you know, goes about 260 for him to be light on his feet the way he was in box and box and box and box.

39:47Usually you figure that kind of guy at some points going to settle down and go in and try to mix it up a little bit. I was concerned, not concerned, but my thought was can a guy that big, you know, do that for 12 rounds. I mean, he was able to do it for most of that time. I'm still not impressed by him. I still think that any top heavyweight would wipe the floor with him. You know, at G cabbie, your boy absolutely good. And if he, you know, he was calling for the rematch against cabbie, that ain't going to happen. I don't think I sure hope not. But you can't take this away from me. This get a very big win. It's the biggest win by a thousand percent in his career against the former heavyweight champion. And what it showed is that my perception is this was more about Andy Ruiz being totally washed than anything. Picacco that Damien Kaniba did. But Andy Ruiz got, you know, he said after the fight, I, you know, I still want to fight. I'd love a rematch. I didn't going to be a rematch of this nonsense. You know, he needs to take a good heart, look at himself and understand that it's all done. He is responsible for wasting his career. This is a guy who was a good heavyweight for a long time.

40:48He gets the opportunity of a lifetime against Anthony Joshua as a late replacement. He wins the heavyweight title. And instead of taking it seriously, he spent six months partying, not training for the rematch, and then went out there and shit the bed and lost in the rematch. Now, even if that's the case, he still had the opportunity to come back after that. But once again, he made so much money in the rematch compared to the first fight that he just didn't give a shit. He was off partying doing his thing. So we fought extremely sporadically as we outlined this was his fourth fight of the decade. If he had taken it seriously at all, he still absolutely could have been a contender. In a player made a ton of money. There was a lot of good. Now, was it a time, by the way, over the last four or five years where the heavyweight division has been parked up. There's a lot of guys around looking for name fighters and he certainly would have fit in the mix. But he led his skills and his dedication to the sport just, you know, hibernate to just let it rot. And he just don't get it back. And this is where father time because he's about to be 37. They kept saying that on the broadcast father time, obviously caught up with him.

41:50Just one more thing and then we're going to get to the judging at the end of this. The official on the Dizzone counter with the clock. He's on the mat at 33 seconds when Keniba is waved in. There's 10 seconds left in the round. 23 seconds. He laughed. We're going over this. We did. And so I'm saying the New Jersey commission needs to take a strong look at that and action against the referee, etc. All right. Now let's move on to step two, which is Keniba ends up winning rounds at the end that he needed to win because two of the score cards were 114, 113, which is 6, 6 on the cards. Andy Ruiz did not win six rounds of that fight. I'm sorry. What it tells you if that Keniba doesn't get the knockdown. It's a draw. It's a draw, which is ridiculous. It is. Okay. We talk every show. I feel like the range of acceptable scores. 114 to 113 is not an acceptable score. No. And I would dare say, even if you did it one round, the other one round difference and had it a two point fight. It's not acceptable.

42:50Andy Ruiz did not win rounds in this fight. He probably won the eighth round. Fine. No problem. You want to give him maybe one other round because it was close. I can see it. That's about it. I personally speaking, I scored it the same way as the other judge, which was 117 to. I had it. I had it. 9-3. Yeah. It was scored a long knockdown. And plus the knockdown. So let's talk about Glenn Feldman. Who we talked about. This is this is the second badwin in a row. Yep. Because this was a couple of weeks ago in the Rolody Romero T. A female Lopez fight where he had had and Kevin Morgan off the can. That's fine, too, but either. But how about Glenn Feldman gave Andy Ruiz four of the first five rounds of the fight. I don't know. I just don't understand what planet are we on on that. And when I see things like that, and again, this has happened in the past. Well, I don't think that's the case here because it's not like a Damien Kaniba and Andy Ruiz look alike and certainly if you're a longstanding judge like a Glenn Feldman, you know who and you're the former heavyweight champion is.

43:53I've seen where accidentally the judges marked the wrong guy that's happened. That's not what happened here. So I'm looking at the square card, which I posted on my social media. There's also a photograph of it within the story that I wrote about this fight. If you take a look at the Feldman card, he gave Ruiz the first round. He gave Kaniba the second round and then he gave Andrew is three or five. Absolutely not in reality at all. And Kevin Morgan was not much different. This was not a one 14 1114. It was not that becomes a one point fight only because of a knockdown where the referee probably should have stopped the fight and made it irrelevant anyway and given Kaniba the knockout. I look, I said nice things back when Feldman and our last show when we were ripping on them about the role of Romero T a female square card. I don't know what to do anymore about this. I just I have said it. Well, yeah, I know, but I've said this to you for years. There needs to be accountability and you need to start disciplining judges.

44:59You need to suspend them and or fire them because that is the only way that you're going to get somewhere with improving the quality of this. If you put them on notice, you're not going to be involved in main event fights and championship fights. And we will suspend you if you do enough dumb stuff and have enough dumb cards where you're not working for a while. The one thing about it actually that this is from back, you know, a number of years ago, the one commission actually has shown the balls to do something about it was New Jersey, the very controversial fight between Eris Lani Larr and Paul Williams years ago where Paul Williams was given the gift of gifts. And even the judge that state the commission suspended the judges, even the judges quoted a draw because that was so terrible. And those judges, I think maybe one or two of them may have worked again, but I know at least one of them. I don't think ever judge another fight. What I would like more than anything, even even even more than, you know, firing a judge or suspending it is, I would like to hear from the judge, what were you watching?

46:01Let's find out what they said to the commission because most times, you know, there's a debriefing with the commission when you know for a second or a little thing like if you go to like cover fights in Vegas, I got done a thousand times, you know, many times I like get up from my press seat, you know, because we're sitting there writing our story. So you don't leave the arena probably for another half an hour, a lot of times, you know, to try to get up to the media center at the MGM for the press conference. So as you're making your way out and they're still, you know, taking down the arena, they're cleaning stuff up and you're you're walking away from ringside where you walk out of the arena. You'll see often like a congregation where you'll see whoever the executive director at the time is of them to that commission with the referees, with the judges in the card and they're having their debrief right there to just talk about, you know, any controversial things or, you know, general stuff about the show. And I would hope they do the same in Jersey. I can't say I've seen that happen, even though I've covered a million fights in New Jersey also, but I want to know, okay, how are you giving him the first what four out of five or the first five rounds in the words of my buddy, TJ, what are we doing here?

47:01And so it turns out that Keneba needed the 10th 11th and 12th, which I thought he clearly won and I believe all three judges gave him at least a couple of those rounds. And that's what ended up being the difference because Feldman in particular had really so far ahead, even after the knockdown round. So the rightful guy won like you like to say the rightful guy won got his hand raised. Who knows if Keneba ends up having a big moment again. But he doesn't if they don't get the knockdown. That's a thing about it. So there we have that. Let's move on. Vito Milnicki does win the middleweight co feature with Austin ammo Williams who took a brutal beating throughout the back half of this fight and kept coming. I again, I don't try to be an alarm this or over react, but he was taking a ton of punishment in a fight. He was clearly losing. Now he did throw some bombs back, including late in the fight. But I really thought Austin ammo Williams took a lot of punishment. What did you think is Milnicki a favorite in New Jersey gets the win? Yeah, this was this was as they discussed in the pre fight. Everybody determined and looked at this matchup say it's something of a crossroads fight. That's exactly what it was where the loser was definitely going to be taking a big time step backwards in the winners.

48:10Probably going to put himself in a really good position. Now Williams was coming off of a very one sided decision loss against Carlos Adamis where he fought him earlier this year for the WBC title. Forgetable loss. Of course, he did go the distance with the guy. So in our areas fighting Milnicki in this fight. Milnicki is a guy that has had a lot of people behind him. He feels like he's been around forever because he termed professional at such a young age. But I'll give the kick right. He's only 24 years old. To me, in this fight, I've never really thought much of Milnicki as not like as a guy, fine guy. Just in terms of like does he have potential to be a world class fighter, be a middleweight world champion or even if you go back earlier when he was fighting previously in the junior middleweight division for a long time. And even when he started out for many, many fights as a welterweight, but he's grown into his body now. He's matured. He looked good physically. He's getting better. I'll give that. I mean, like Chris Mannix on the broadcast said he's improving. I agree with that. I'm still not convinced that he gets to the level where he's going to be a world champion.

49:10Although in today's current middleweight climate, it's a lot more doable. I think given as we've discussed many, many times the lack of top level fighters in that way. I've never seen a world class, but look, this was a huge win for Milnicki. He does it in front of the hometown. He scored a big booming knockdown in the first round. Thought maybe he might be able to finish him off. But he got in 10 rounds. He dominated 98 to 91 on all three scorecards. Good judging. You know, to eight rounds to two plus the knockdown yet cannot underestimate the magnitude for this man's career of what that win was. Because Williams was a reputable opponent, as I said, had fought for a world title. You know, his other loss besides the the Adamist fight. He only lost one other time. This was in 2024 in Saudi Arabia. He got stopped against Hamza Shahroz when they were both undefeated on a big red season undercard. So this is a good win now for Austin Williams. You know, I'm not going to say you're entitled. You should retire or anything like that. It's not he's not an old guy. He's still just 30 years old.

50:11But you've taken two losses in a row. One forgivable against a top level fighter in that division in the championship fight. The thing that gives me pause about the loss to Milnicki is that it wasn't competitive. He was taking a beating. He was taking a beating and here we go again that his own. I know it's only a 10 round fight, not a 12 round fight, but his own corner should be accountable. And I know he fought back and he actually busted Milnicki's nose late in the fight. So I realized these guys sign up for this. They're taking the risks, etc. But we talk about fighter safety all the time. He took a ton of punishment back at the moment. It was also his first fight with the new trainer he had been for years with Kevin Cunningham. They parted and now he went with Derek James in this particular fight. And you know it did not work out. So you know I think right now ammo Williams's career is definitely in limbo up in the air. I don't know. I mean I can't say for sure. I kind of think knowing their history. I wouldn't be surprised if if a matchroom cut him from the roster, which would make him a free agent.

51:19We shall see. I wish him the best luck. I mean I've met LMO and interviewed him and talked him a few times back in the day. Super nice guy. Well, we shall see what happens. All right. Finish up here on the the undercard. Wait a minute. Weren't you propping lightweight? Alan Chavez. This was a shocker. And he gets beat. Welcome to boxing. I have to confess. I have not seen this fight. What happened here because apparently this opponent, Erditson Garcia. You guys ask it is what happened. He was really in control of this entire fight. What happened to Chavez here? He had a bad night in Erditson Garcia. Great night. What can you say? I mean look Garcia coming into this fight was a live dog. I mean this was not he was no bum by any means. I mean he only had a lost a couple of fights. He had come off a lost by a decision to a really good boxer in Andres Cortez that was on a Zufa card back a few months ago. So when they when they match him up with Chavez, you know, matchroom made in a I felt like I felt like Chavez were win obviously, but I felt like they made a very reasonable kind of almost an aggressive kind of match for for Chavez in this fight, which I was not upset about.

52:30Chavez was highly ranked in in the various sanctioning bodies had looked absolutely spectacular in a very solid victory in his American debut earlier this year. We had a devastating knockout against Miguel Medueno who fought some good quality opponents and you're like this guy is something else to watch because he's just heavy handed in aggressive and you know seems to look the part and all that. But he met his match big time. So you said what happened. What happened was Erditson Garcia scored four knock downs and ended up winning a one sided decision. I was actually surprised that Chavez I'll give him credit for showing the heart that he did because for him to make it all 10 rounds was kind of impressive. He got dropped, you know, time and again, he was hurt on these knock downs. These were not like, you know, flash knock downs where it's like, okay, he just got caught and that's that. He was down in the second round. He was down in the fifth round. He was down in the ninth round. I take that he was down twice in the fifth round. I mean, it was just, you know, like a like bowling pins like, you know, Erditson Garcia was throwing rolling down the alley and every time he was hitting the pin and he was falling knock him down.

53:34I mean, it was it's a look. It's a big win for Erditson Garcia. And what I was surprised by is that I guess he had been cut by Zufl boxing after that lost to Cortez. But let me tell you, in the lightweight division, he's a dangerous guy. Erditson Garcia. If he fights like that, he came in great shape. He looked like he was a bit bigger than Alan Chavez. And I can't I can't explain to you what a rough night this was for a match room. So their guy, Andy Ruiz, who they had just signed, he gets beat by Nibbo who's Gnibbo is with top rank. So that's a, you know, they're a side heavyweight that they spent a lot of money on this main event for Andy, by the way. He loses Chavez, who have the big hopes for in the lightweight division after the performance he had in his recent fight. Not only does he lose, but he gets his ass kicked, drop four times and loses every fucking round. And ammo Williams and Nilniki, they had just signed Nilniki, so they have both sides. But ammo, who they've been with since ammo is professional debut. Again, he doesn't just lose. He loses every, you know, loses basically every round and gets, you know, knocked down really hard. So, you know, there are three guys took, you know, pretty rough losses. Nilniki, of course, you know, for them gets a big win.

54:39But not not the best of nights for Eddie, her and who by the way, I have to give him props. He's there in Newark for this show. And then he's on with some of his staff after the fight on a private plane to fly from Newark back to Ireland to make sure he's there for obviously what happened with the Katie Taylor event. So think about it. They didn't think I don't know if he left before the end of the fight or whatever, but you got to figure didn't get off the ground in Newark. Got to be probably no earlier than 1 a.m. It's about a six hour, six and a half hour flight. Maybe it was on a private, maybe a little probably about six and a half hours to get from there to Ireland. And then, you know, your land, it's with the time change. You're right. You're arriving midday. Yes, fine. That was in Dublin. So you don't have a lot of time. You got to figure it probably changes clothes on the plane. And I'm just I'm saying this David Diamante was was a ring announcer in both places. So I'm he was on the plane. He was on the private plane too. So that didn't leave a deal with him. I was done with the ring announcing at the main event. So yes, that was that was interesting. So yes, give them credit on that. Hey, one more fight on the undercard. I know you want to talk about Zac Queen Moses, the lightweight who also won on the undercard real quick before.

55:47What's not about wanting to talk about it. He was the opening fight on the card. He's a new work fighter. This was his first pro fight in his hometown. He's the cousin of Shakur Stevenson, a very talented boxer also trained by Wally Moses, who was the grandfather of Shakur. Anyway, he is a south pop. He was moving up a little bit in a way. He'd been fighting mostly at at a junior lightweight. Now he's moving into the lightweight division. I think they did this fight to like 133 pounds, but a good boxer moves to eight. No, this was his first scheduled eight round fight. As I mentioned, first time in front of the hometown crowd. And he did a good job. He fought a grant that a journeyman type opponent in angel contraris. So now is 18 wins, 12 losses and two draws. But if you watch the Queen Moses and you've seen his previous fights, a lot of his bouts have been on sort of the before the bell portion of the events that match him as Hadamon. He looks sharp. He stopped them in the fifth round. And you know, you got to take him seriously as a prospect given the performances he's turned in. He had combined that with the bloodlines. And he's definitely a young guy to watch. And also, by the way, when he's when they stopped the fight, he had been, you know, he had 50 to 45 and all three squirters. So this was a dominating victory for the young man.

56:56Okay. Now to the news. You need 21 years old, by the way, 21 year olds, a queen Moses, keep an eye on that name. You get a loot to this. We've talked about this. And on the heels of the atmosphere and what was going on in Dublin with Katie Taylor. Here we go again with fury and Joshua. And the saga will not end on this. Is this going to be November 20th? Is it definitely going to be Madison Square Garden? There's still a speculation in the British press that eventually the powers that be are going to relent. And this fight will be in the UK will either be in Cardiff or be in Wembley. Who knows what the truth is. I'm just saying we're getting to the point here in the next week or two where I'm saying this. I don't have any inside knowledge where they're going to maybe have to just say the date is postponed. These guys may fight somebody else. I don't know what is the latest. There's already there already was a press conference scheduled in New York that am I I am told by source involved was being canceled. That's not to say that they want to do in New York. That's not good. But that travel was done for people that require the type of travel.

58:01And it's no longer happening because presumably everybody other than fury who's been training in Miami would have to fly in from the UK. Well, you're going to be in New York with a fight in New York. It's not a matter of where you're coming from. You have to get on a plane right in New York. Right. So that that particular now they can always reschedule that I'm just making the point though that because it's taken so long that plans are being altered in the press conference has been canceled. The point here is that Eddie Hurne came out and said that now there's a chance that they're going to go back and do the fight at Wembley that maybe some people have seen such an outpouring of incredulity has that for a 25 world. Very nice of people saying that this fight does not belong in the United States, which I've said thousands of times as I've viewed this does not belong in the United States. But at the same time that you have Eddie Hurne saying that there's now been conversations about a perhaps taking place in Wembley, you have the mayor of London, Cedric Khan, who has some relationship to boxing because his brother runs a boxing club in in London and an event he came out and did an interview where he said essentially that because Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are two of the biggest stars in their country and very, you know, loyal fan basis that this fight has to take place in London.

59:12That Wembley Stadium is a very easy place to get to, you know, which you can get by public transportation. They've moved people in and out, a hundred people in and out easily. There's no reason why this fight can't take place there even if they have to maybe alter the time. So if you've got the political side of things in the UK making noise about it, you've got the promoter saying, you know, we're talking about it. Maybe they will figure this out and have the fight at Wembley Stadium. I still think the fight will happen. But again, in a political moment, we should be in London and the party. We both agree that contingency is it would have to be in the middle of the night. They have to get a waiver because the British policy is a main event cannot start. Or after missing just do it at the normal time, but they don't want to do that. That's been the rub all along because they know it's going to cost. They can change their minds. I don't know. I don't know. I just know I'm not convinced that it costs some audience because the whole thing about having the fight in New York to me anyway was not. Maybe they would have a little more audience. To me, it was more about Netflix having like, as I talked about the last time, a convention for all the people they work with to bring into this big event and do a lot of business there with their actors and directors and agents and other people within the business and have this event kind of, you know, be able to promote their stuff on that broadcast of the boxing event and all that.

1:00:27So, you know, I'm hopeful they'll get this worked out that the fight happens and at the end of the day that it happens in London. Okay, we wait for more news on that. Do you think we're approaching though like this week next week? Where's that too soon on they've got to make a decision? Of course they have to make it this is on no paper. Whatever it's supposed to take place this year. I mean, I can't imagine I'm going to drag this shit into next. And the other thing is what does the contract say on the time frame of when the fight has to happen or else one side can walk away from the contract and here we go with that. So my impression is always been that it had to be this year. So this calendar year. We'll see. And we have nothing new to report other than that. So we move on. Let's see, speaking of the middleweight division, what you were talking about a few moments ago, we talked about constantly. Denzel Bentley wanted to have a unification fight with the new IBF champion Aaron McKenna, but the WBO says for the British middleweight. So go ahead. So the Denzel Bentley recently elevated from interim status to the full champion when Janneback vacated and said he's moving up and wait.

1:01:32You only Hernandez who won his fight a couple weeks ago on the undercard of Rolly Romero against Tfema Lopez is the mandatory challenger for the other BF for the WBO middleweight title. His team pressed for them to order the mandatory the WBO did so. However, the Denzel Bentley can't have gone to the WBO saying listen, we have a deal in place to fight Aaron McKenna in a unification fight, which the two sides made a deal. But obviously they work and go through with it because it was pending the sanction from the organizations. There would not have been a problem with the IBF McKenna just won that belt, but the IBF rules are very crystal clear. If the mandatory is not in order and you come to them seeking in a unification that that will take president, but he could have done that anyway because the mandatory is not even do so the IBF has no issue. They made a deal. Bentley had to get the sanction from the WBO and in the end they sent out a letter. I broke this on Friday night that they had ordered the fight with you only Hernandez, which has irritated the mechanical camp, certainly irritated the Bentley camp.

1:02:37The thing by the way is that Bentley had become a free agent from Frank Warren and so they were going to go and do this match up. Now those who look for negativity for conspiracy for things along those lines and boxing, which are a lot of people and a lot of that stuff does go on in the background. There are those suggesting that in a normal circumstance any organization would sign off and say go ahead let's do the unification because it's good for boxing. The deal we've seen other organizations do that and by the way may I just say it wasn't that long ago that the WBO specifically just in the last week gave a pass to a manual never at the dead to do the unification against Oshaki Foster and told their mandatory who has been waiting way longer than you and Leonandez and that's Charlie's whereas hold your powder sit down. They allow a second exception in a row for him to fight the Oshaki Foster Unification and Charlie you can go pound sand for a little more a little more time fast forward to like a week later and you only Hernandez who's only got 11 professional fights or 12 professional fights or whatever.

1:03:42And he just fought two weeks ago and keep in mind and McKenna versus Bentley would have been done and taken place before the end of this year and then the mandatory would have taken place probably in the first quarter of next year not exactly a long wait. This is not a thing that's going to drag out the end of deal done to do the fight like November, December. But the WBO said no can do and said you must fight the mandatory challenge so back to my conspiracy. Who is Aaron McKenna with my friend? You know? Zufa boxing. Oh. So it is not lost on some who make I don't make conspiracy that of everything but it's kind of hard to look past this. Especially given that we're really good at connecting that especially what happened with the Suarez situation against never a day. The sanctioning bodies are not looking to do anything to help Zufa boxing. They do not want to be part of their own demise if you will. So we're not going to give you anything. So we're not going to allow your Zufa guy to unify with our champion just to help you out in some form or fashion with the Gale. So Denzel Bentley you go fight you and we Hernandez and you know if not you don't have a belt for a unification.

1:04:47Exactly. So we already know the issues that have taken place between the I B F and and Zufa boxing. The WBO is not and keep in mind the WBO another reason why a lot of people thought this fight would be approved is because the WBO and the I B F. Have gotten very close in terms of their business to the extent that and many say this is an effort to sort of fight off. You know the the the the coming forward Zufa forces if you will that come the end of the year. They're doing a joint convention most of the you know the sanctioned bodies they do their own four different conventions. The I B F and the WBO convention this next one coming up is a unified convention where they're doing it together. So if you're doing your convention together once you want your two champions to unify the titles. So there's a lot of question marks about what really. Hey while we're here on this we are reaching the fight week here for this and the GI Opataya Noel McCalean fight is on the schedule. I've seen speculation for whatever it's worth you're more plugged in that Don King is involved still has that been resolved or is he still trying to stop the McCalean Opataya fight.

1:05:54Here we go again with anti Zufa boxing. What's the what's the latest I don't think King's trying to stop it for anti Zufa boxing reasons I think King's trying to stop it because he believes. You know he was he has a contract with with McCalean and was caught out of making the deal. That's what I mean that Zufa did the deal here with McCalean for this fight and Don King's not included. So are we hearing that this is still going to go on the fight's going to happen. The question I've had is the WBC has not made a move to strip McCalean of the title even though it's been probably a month since they ordered the mandatory against David Denivides. Okay and usually they would say okay well if you're not going to do the mandatory title is now vacant or they would elevate. You know whoever is the if there's an interim champion they've not done that I this is my. My thought this is not I don't I'm not based on this you're just you're just reading the tea leaves go reading the tea leaves. The WBC doesn't want any trouble with anybody in terms of getting you know in a lawsuit or anything like that with McCalean with Zufa with King whoever.

1:06:58So they're just going to let let the fight go through and if he does go forward with the fight they can look at the rules and look we ordered the mandatory that was due. You did not do it good luck with your career the WBC title is no longer yours but they're not going to make that move beforehand. Yeah. No way to the fight goes through and then they'll be able to go by the way our rules we're going to strip you the title follow you all by the way the main event is a WBC World Walter Way title fight to with Ryan Garcia and I don't think that the two are not related but still it's the same organization and it's in their interest because there's big dollars that are involved for all involved. So all right stay tuned that's more for this week will read your sub stack will read your will read your newsletter your whole thing with the middle way thing is very sketchy. Well we need somebody to step forward and maybe it's her name is eventually here to more also on Diego Pacheco returning one final note here Eddie hern has announced on the what what he announced on the broadcast Friday night. No he's just no he's did some interviews this is this is not a secret this has been known since his last fight that that Diego Pacheco the the Super Middle Way contenter would fight again in December when he fought his last fight against a menu Alim in July.

1:08:10After that fight they said the plan was to bring it back at the end of the year to another fight in the LA area he's from East Los Angeles that is now what's going to happen. I don't know the opponent earth even have one that's 100% said but this will be the headliner of a matchroom card it'll take place November 13th at a venue in Los Angeles or thereabouts and the interesting thing is it will headline another edition of the fight which we talked about that's the combo does own TNT series as was the case for the fight on Friday night. Between the canee by Andy Ruiz so hopefully they'll put the check on with a serious opponent I felt like Alim was a definite step down in my mind and it's time for for Pacheco to you know put the pedal to the metal get a real opponent get a solid win and let's move on to a world title fight. Okay lots of news in and around these these recaps great stuff with that it is a holiday weekend everybody be safe here with a lot of people traveling by the millions not just in the year but on the roads be safe coming off the weekend as we do this and then let's get ready for the Ryan Garcia Connor bin fight week that is going to be coming in Las Vegas later this week big Dan we thank you as always have a good week here my friend.
