The full details are out on Kenneth Walker, the third new three-year contract with the Kansas

City Chiefs.

It's worth $43.05 million at its base value, averaging $14.35 million per year.

He gets a $13 million signing bonus right away with a $1.215 million fully guaranteed

base salary in $20.26 plus a $135,000 work-out bonus that's guaranteed if earned.

That bumps up in 2027 to a $14.1 million fully guaranteed base salary and a $250,000.

Work-out bonus also guaranteed if he hits it.

The 2028 year has another $14.1 million base in the same workout bonus, but nothing is guaranteed

there.

Overall, the first two years lock in $28.7 million fully guaranteed, giving him $14.35 million

in cash each year.

Fans and analysts see this as a solid deal for Walker, especially after the Seattle

Seahawks skipped the franchise tag worth about $14.2.

He's behind Sequan Barkley at $20.6 million per year and Derek Henry at $15 million,

at a head of Jonathan Taylor's $14 million average.

His injury history, missing 10 games early on and a 1,050R rookie year, make it a smart

investment for the Chiefs.

This suggests Kansas City plans to lean on him more than usual in their offence.

Last season, they spend just $1.5 million on Kareem Hunt and $1.12 million on Isaiah Pacheco.
