Hey, I'm Josh Speagle, host of the podcast, Lunatic in the Newsroom.
If you enjoy journalism that drifts into my old panic,
wild overthinking, and a guaranteed nervous breakdown,
Lunatic in the newsroom is for you.
It's news like you've never heard before.
The only newsroom with a panic button.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, and gasp and horror
as the show spirals completely out of control.
It's not just news, it's emotionally unstable.
Lunatic in the newsroom.
Listen today.
All right, welcome back to the Carl Jackson Show.
Again, this is your daily dose of objective truth
in a world of I keep saying that.
It's your daily dose of freedom.
All right, so Nome is out at DHS
and Tim Wallace was put on the hot seat.
Let me just give you the skinny, if you will,
on Christy Nome.
Basically, Christy Nome is out because
she made President Trump look bad
and it appears as though, excuse me,
it appears as though she lied on the stand.
Let me see if I can pull up the column here.
But basically, what happened was
Christy Nome had spent about $200 million
as the head of the DHS on ad buys, basically.
But she had sucked the, she had sucked the ads out.
It was supposed to be like an open bid.
And apparently, let me see here,
she subbed it out, comes after a heated sin in hearing
in which I'm reading from Daily Wire, Nome Blame Trump
for approving questionable contracts
worth $200 million over $200 million
for deportation ads, which raise concerns
about potential conflicts of interest.
Now, I gotta tell you, I love the message in the ads.
Like, hey, if you scadado will pay you this,
we'll, you know, we'll pay for your way out.
All of those ads, I liked the message in the ad.
I had no idea that she was paying,
we were paying over $200 million
for those ad placements and for those ad buys.
That's insane.
So you gotta find a cheaper way
to do that type of messaging, which is,
I mean, this is, it's just, it's just crazy.
So basically, when she was on the hot seat,
on the hill earlier in the week, she said,
Trump, she said that Trump basically gave her his approval.
But Trump told Reuters that he had no knowledge
of the expense of contracts.
So Nome testified that the contracts, quote,
went out to a competitive bid
and career officials at the department
and career officials at the department
chose who would do those advertising commercials, quote.
The contracts were awarded using, quote,
other than full and open competition, however,
that's according to the Daily Wire.
So the Department of Homeland Security Office
of Procurement Operations on behalf of the Office
of DHS Public Affairs, and I'm quoting,
Office Intense Delimit Competition to three contractors.
That's the memo that went out.
So it wasn't an open bid.
So a competition waiver stated that the department
used internet research in industry publications,
quote unquote, to identify safe America media, LLC,
as the primary company capable of taking on the ad campaign.
So $220 million or over $200 million ad campaign
that safe America media, LLC was gonna be taking on
as the primary company capable of that ad campaign.
Now here's the problem.
Safe America media was only incorporated
just a few days before.
Ouch.
Ouch.
So the strategy group said it, quote,
has never had a contract with DHS, close quote,
adding that we, quote, had a subcontract
with safe America for limited production services,
and they go on to say safe America paid US, paid us $226,137,
$17 total for five film shoots, 45 produced video
advertisements, and six produced radio advertisements.
So in other words, the safe media group subcontracted
the work out to a legit company, the strategy group,
I don't know where all the money went,
and this does not look good.
So now you have Senator Mark Wayne Mullin
that is now gonna be taking the place
as Department of Homeland Security.
And guys, I gotta be honest with you.
I never thought that Kristinaum was a great pick,
but as long as the work was being done, I was happy.
I just, here's my general, here's my general feeling
when it came to Kristinaum.
I just thought it was too much theater.
I thought it was overwhelming theater.
Trump is the funniest, most charismatic person
that you could imagine having in the presidency.
The guy just, he loves talking, he loves being on TV,
he loves answering questions.
I mean, his personality is so big,
you don't need people to have that type of personality
or that presence, you know, or that presence
in his administration.
And I just felt like Kristinaum just over did it.
Now, I do like the fact that I think he's made people
like Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
I think he's made him a better politician.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is very clear in his positions.
Now, it seemed to me before that he was more moderate.
I mean, I thought he was a good senator.
I never thought he was an exceptional senator
for the state of Florida.
But, you know, I thought he was a good senator,
a good to great senator.
Never thought he was exceptional
and I didn't like his two A-stands.
I don't like the red, black stuff that he supported.
There's no doubt about that.
But as Secretary of State, I don't think you could have picked
anyone better and I didn't believe that at first.
But once this guy, obviously working with the president
and with his knowledge of the geopolitical landscape,
Marco Rubio has just been absolutely phenomenal.
And I just never, I'm like, why would you put
Department of Homeland Security?
I didn't realize this.
I didn't realize this at first,
but I mean, it's larger than the DOJ.
I mean, the thing is, it's just massive.
And Kristinaum, for those of you that may not know,
she wasn't even that conservative
when she was in, when she was a Republican in the House.
She wasn't that conservative as a, as the governor,
although she tried to take credit and claim that she was first
and she was, when it came to the COVID lockdowns,
she was stronger than DeSantis Abbot.
She was the first to make sure that those lockdowns
and all this COVID stuff didn't come to her state.
But it wasn't her.
It was her state legislature that was pushing back
against her whims.
So I just, but whatever, she was loyal to Trump
until she threw him under the bus yesterday.
And so Trump had finally, Trump had finally had enough.
And I think this is, I think they're better off for it.
And I just think after the shootings and Minneapolis,
and frankly, I do believe, in my opinion,
those shootings were justified both, both pretty
and, and Renee good, because I just think you,
when you, when you try to, when you're sitting there,
when you're sitting there protesting and getting in the way
and interfering in law enforcement operations,
we've gone through this before.
I mean, you're just bound to cause some type of trouble
and they knew that and they belong to those groups
that wanted to, you know, to, to, to, to, to interfere
in law enforcement to try to stop ICE and stuff like that.
But I just thought she just, she didn't handle that well.
And obviously that puts a lot of pressure
on the Trump administration and puts a lot of pressure
on Republicans.
So you got a bunch of weak Republicans.
And as much as we want to deport people, keep in mind,
there's a lot of Republicans that are weak,
a lot of people call them rhinos.
Guys, there's no such thing as rhinos.
There are Republicans.
There's just weak Republicans.
There's strong Republicans, so on, et cetera.
And then most of them are only as strong as,
as often as you're willing to call them,
and or donate to a primary competitor.
So you have to keep that in mind.
But it's just, it's just one of these things we learned.
So Christy Nome is out as head of DHS.
I personally think that's a good thing.
Mark Wayne Mullin, I just hope because there were rumors
that Christy Nome almost literally were trying to sabotage
Tom Homan and the other, the other gentleman at,
at ICE that knew what they were doing.
And so hopefully that won't be the case
with Senator Mark Wayne Mullin.
And I don't suspect it will.
I mean, this guy has been a champion for President Trump.
Seems to be a really humble guy, former MMA fighter,
business owner as well.
So I think this will be, I think it'll be a good fit.
And I think he will be humble enough,
given the fact that he was so humble that he's going to be,
basically, the new Department of Homeland Security,
assuming the Senate will confirm him.
And I believe they will.
He was just so humbled about it.
He didn't even find out about it until most,
most all of us found out about it.
So that was really, really cool.
All right, I want to get on to Tim Walsh,
because Tim Walsh is on the hot seat.
Tim Walsh should be in jail.
And I think he proved it quite frankly,
but he's doing his best to try to evade
and avoid questioning.
And I'd be a smart ally can get around some questioning
on the hill, but I am really glad to learn
that we are going after this fraud.
And I want to see somebody go down,
I'm getting tired of the questions,
but I can appreciate at least we're getting there.
There is a war on fraud, which I was like,
what's the big deal, war on fraud?
But obviously, Vice President J.D. Vance
was on top of it really, really fast.
So they are really working on getting this fraud
out of our system, at least to the point where
it's just so overwhelming like it is in Minnesota.
He came out with, oh man, what's his name?
Dr. Mehmet Oz.
And basically like, hey, we are withholding
these Medicaid payments until you guys straighten
out the fraud in Minnesota and I love it.
So actually, when we get back,
we'll just run a litany of Tim Walsh videos
because this guy, I think he is in trouble.
And as well, he should be.
Nick Shirley literally ended this guy's
political career.
Or perhaps, Kamala Harris helped
ended by picking him as her vice presidential running
candidate because this guy is a complete
and utter disaster.
And perhaps people would not have paid
as much attention to him if we didn't know who he was.
But Nick Shirley, Kamala Harris put him
on the map, Nick Shirley with his investigation
along with his buddy Dave inside of Minneapolis, Minnesota,
just totally ended this guy's career.
And I'm so thankful for it.
But now, I think it's gel time.
And so we'll play a few clips when we get back
of Tim Walsh on the hot seat.
All right, you are listening to the Carl Jackson show,

All right, welcome back to the show.
I'm going to get right into these videos
with Governor Tim Walls on the hot seat on the heel.
This is cut number 26.
He was exposed for resuming taxpayer payments
to Somali fraudsters and the feeding our future campaign.
For those of you guys that don't remember,
the feeding our future campaign, it was basically,
there was a white liberal woman that was the mediator
of the feeding our future.
She designed, I believe this program,
but she incorporated basically all Somali businesses
and these people would set up like, okay,
where even one of the restaurants that Ilhan Omar,
as you may recall, literally had a fundraising campaign
at this guy, he was one of the guys that was arrested,
but they were claiming during COVID,
they were feeding all of these kids,
all of these children, all of these people,
and they weren't, they were just completely lying
about the numbers and getting the money
for doing so, and the mediator lady,
who's in prison now actually was getting a kickback
when she would get them money.
So this is Governor Tim Walls, and they knew about this
because there were whistleblowers.
Cut number 26, please, gay.
They're the payments are restarted.
Why didn't you tell the truth about why you restarted
the payments?
Well, Chairman, we did tell you,
and feeding our future grew because of the pandemic,
and...
You asked that question, I said,
why didn't you tell the truth about why you
restarted the payments?
The payments stopped, because there were concerns,
obviously, you wouldn't stop the payments,
then there restarted a month later,
what was the reason for restarting the payments?
My understanding was that the agency believed
that the court had required them to make those payments.
And that was false, wasn't it?
You repeated that and said that, didn't you?
I don't think...
You said the reason you restarted
is because the court ordered you to do so, is that right?
I don't believe that is settled yet to best my knowledge.
Well, I think it is,
because the court did something that...
I just don't...
I don't know if I've ever seen it.
They issued a statement saying,
you were wrong in what you were saying.
This is from the court.
It says, feeding our future versus
Minnesota Department of Education,
correcting reports and statements
by Governor Tim Walls concerning orders
issued by the court.
Here's what the judge says.
Governor Tim Walls told the media
that the Minnesota Department of Education
attempted end payments to FOF because of possible fraud,
but that Judge Guthman ordered payments
to continue in April 2021.
Next sentence, that is false.
So you said something to one true.
He further states this,
Judge Guthman, the court says this,
Judge Guthman never ordered the Department of Education
to resume payments to feeding our future in April 2021
or at any other time.
So I want to know, why didn't you tell the truth?
Congressman, the attorneys at the Department of Education
interpreted that differently.
Both of those judges are no longer on the bench,
and I think that interpretation is the very first sentence.
The first seven words.
This is not some unnamed source talking to the New York Times.
This is not some anonymous source talking to whatever
your Minnesota star tribune or whatever your paper is.
This is the court speaking.
First sentence, first seven words.
Due to inaccurate statements by the governor,
Ramsey County District Court Judge has issued
and authorized that this following news released.
That's pretty straightforward.
So the court's lion?
I can't tell you, Congressman,
but the interpretation is-
Well, somebody's lion, somebody's lion,
because you can't say the court ordered you
to restart the payments,
and then the court says we didn't order you
to restart the payments.
So either you're lion or the court's lion.
And I'm just asking, which one is it?
I just simply know what the attorneys at the agency
believed that it was a misinterpretation.
And I would note that those payments-
You were trying to hide behind the court governor.
Could that maybe be the reason why you
issued the statements you did
and why the court had to do something?
You never see done before the issue of press statement
saying you're wrong.
The governor is wrong.
His statement is, their words are not mine, false.
Could that be the reason?
That was not the interpretation of the attorneys.
And you're not court or work.
You can appeal those, Congressman, as you well know.
I'm sure that-
Is it all about politics, governor?
No, it's about taking care of our people,
which kind of showed it as better than anyone else.
$3 million, the behavioral intervention program
went from $300 million to $400 million in five years.
The housing stabilization went from $2.6 million to $104 million.
The integrated community supports went from $4.6 million to $1 million.

Taking care of our people,
yet he doesn't know where the money went.
Cut number 31.
This is it.
2017, $1 million was spent on autism in Minnesota.
That skyrocketed to $343 million.
Notice what this governor is doing.
All right, he looks really dumb,
and I don't think he's the brightest bulb in the bunch
by any stretch of the imagination,
but he is very smart.
And a lot of, in my opinion,
a lot of people that play the system are,
they know how to use the right wording.
Democrats do,
in this case,
he kept using the word interpret.
I interpreted that because he doesn't want to get caught.
He doesn't want to be cuffed.
Cut number 31,
Paul Favard gave.
How much money was spent on autism in Minnesota
in 2017, governor?
I don't have those numbers in front of the Congress.
Did you prepare for this hearing today?
Did you do that?
I did, I take Congress seriously.
And you've seen the numbers about autism, fraud, and Minnesota.
So we're gonna do some Minnesota math with you today, okay?
Are you ready?
How much money was spent on 2017 for autism in Minnesota?
How much?
I don't know, I wasn't the governor.
Okay.
Did you not just say that you prepared
for this hearing today?
$1 million, okay?
A quick Google search or using your AI could tell you,
$1 million was spent.
How much money was spent on autism in Minnesota in 2024?
I don't have a number in front of me.
As governor.
Are you governor in 2024?
I was, but I'm not the...
Okay, so you're excused before
that you didn't know what 2017 autism numbers were
because you were not governor.
And today you can't answer the numbers about 2024
as governor, and you still said you prepared
for this hearing today, it's unbelievable.
$343 million was spent in 2024.
What percent increases that from $1 million to $343 million?
What percentage increases that?
I'm not here to be your prop, go ahead and tell me.
Wait, are you governor of Minnesota or not?
Yes, I am, I'm not, I'm not a pro.
I'm governor of South Carolina.
You can sure as hell bet that I'm gonna know the math.
The math is 34,200 percent increase.
An increase of 343 times what it was in this time period.
Do you know the number of children in Minnesota?
I know that Minnesota ranked as a top three state
for children in Minnesota.
What is the total population in Minnesota?
5.7 million.
Okay.
What is the total population of children in Minnesota?
I don't have the number in front of me right now.
Are you governor of Minnesota?
I know 400,000 were cut out of healthcare last week
that you made.
Are you governor of Minnesota?
I am.
And you don't know the number of children
residing in Minnesota?
I don't have the specific numbers.
All right.
So anyway, back and forth with Nancy Mason.
The first part was the best in my opinion,
but 1 million spent on autism, 343.
So they care about children.
They care about children,
but we know these people were committing fraud.
And the people weren't getting the help that they needed.
So this is astonishing.
People really need to go to jail.
And the scale is much bigger.
The money amount is much bigger.
Everybody's talking about it.
Even feed our futures, $250 million.
I'm not convinced that it wasn't more.
He, oh, here's Brandon Gil questioning Tim Wallace.
Let's go to cut number 43.
Let's show this one.
This is Brandon Gil.
Always like when he questions.
And would you agree that as governor,
ultimately, you're responsible if tax dollars are defrauded?
Yes, I would agree.
Would you also agree that calling somebody racist
is a serious accusation?
If they are racist?
I think it's my asking you.
Is that a serious accusation to make about somebody?
I think it's just an observation of reality.
All right.
Let's go there.
For a government official, do I identify fraud?
No.
No, is it Islamophobic?
Do I identify fraud?
Do I identify fraud?
No, I don't believe it would be.
How come multiple whistleblowers have said
that your administration told them not to say anything
about widespread fraud across multiple agencies?
Because doing so would be considered racist or Islamophobic.
I can't speak to it because it's not anything I would say.
Well, that's what your administration has said
and has told whistleblowers.
And as you just testified, the buck stops with you.
It's what you stated in your statement whenever you announce
you weren't running again.
Okay.
Let's go to cut number 42.
And again, these people are just exposing this guy
because the arguments were, and honestly,
the reason why the feet are feature campaign was allowed
to continue to grow and fester despite the fraud,
even when some locals caught it out, the whistleblowers
and some other people that did want to prosecute
the lady would just claim racism.
And this is the line that the Tim Walls and company
would fall for or acquiesce to because we all know
they were going to kick back.
Some way shape or form, whether it was campaign coffers,
whatever it may have been.
Obviously, this is what was happening.
Do we have time actually for cut number 44?
Do you believe the 70,000 strong Somali community
as a whole has made a positive impact on your state?
I do.
So you'd be the opinion fair to say that the Somali community
has successfully assimilated and is making Minnesota better.
Yeah, I believe they're on that path.
Yes.
I'm just curious by what metric you've come to that conclusion.
I just looked at some hard data.
And do you have any idea what percentage of the native
born Minnesotans all races live in poverty in your state right now?
I don't have specifically.
I'll share it with you.
It's 8% for the Somali community.
It's 52%.
How about receiving food stamps?
I don't know.
I'll run it down with you.
It's 7% and then in the compared to 54% in the Somali community.
And then have it, don't have at least a high school diploma
for all Minnesotans, it's 5% in the Somali community.
It's 39%.
We can leave it there.
We can leave it there.
The reason why this is important is because basically you have a group
of people that are coming to the United States of America
and they're living off the taxpayer.
And we're funding it.
And this simply has to stop.
Guys, I appreciate you tuning in.
Don't grow worried, don't get it.
God bless you.
