From the streets of Adelaide to the world, this is Adelaide News Today.
South Australia's labor party is projected to hold on to power after the state election,
but the results paint a more nuanced picture across the map.
In metropolitan Adelaide, where most seats are decided, labor already controlled the bulk of them going in,
leaving liberals with just six.
Seats on the edges of Adelaide and along the Flurryu Peninsula have long been safe for liberals,
yet labor and independence are pushing hard in.
Places like Heisen, Phenis, and Hammond.
Out in regional and remote areas, liberals have traditionally dominated,
but independence, who sometimes started as liberal candidates and one nation,
are mounting challenges in spots like flenders, chaffee, and engaudury.
Counts are still coming in, so the full story will sharpen up soon.
