Starting with your top stories brought to you by Apex Armory, the Valley's premier firearm
stealer. At least 240 inmates at the Clark County Detention Center have been taken into custody
by ICE since an agreement went into effect in late 2025. The 287G agreement allows ICE to
issue warrants for inmates it wants to pick up for immigration enforcement.
Sheriff Kevin McMahill says the Metropolitan Police Department's relationship hasn't changed
since re-entering the jail-based program, reiterating that his agency's role is strictly
administrative and limited to the jail. The American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada
challenged the agreement in a lawsuit, but a judge ruled Friday that the organization didn't
have a standing. McMahill signed the ICE agreement in May, a day after the Trump administration
declared the city of Las Vegas as sanctuary for undocumented immigrants.
Dozens of people pack a downtown Las Vegas restaurant in support of Washoe County Commissioner
Alexis Hill, who was running for governor, the Democrat who calls herself a dark horse,
vowed that her administration would ask for more from big businesses that have benefited from
tax cuts. We can increase our state revenue by an estimated $4 billion by making corporations
finally pay their fair share. Hill is running against Governor Joe Lombardo and Attorney General
Aaron Ford, 10 other candidates filed paperwork to run for governor in the past week,
and there could be more before the filing period closes on Friday.
A Henderson Charter School's robotics team qualifies to compete for a world championship next
month. Seven students at Coral Academy of Sciences Cadence Campus will participate in the
Vex Robotics World Championship in St. Louis. The competition challenges students to design a robot
that can win a game which changes every year. This year's challenge involves directing a robot
to play softball-sized blocks into horizontal plastic tubes at varying heights. Two of the students
are there to construct the robot out of pieces of metal and other gears and pistons and types of
materials, and then there's a trio of coders who work together to create code for the robot.
That way a remote control can be used to navigate the robot around the course.
The Henderson team is made up of students between the ages of 12 and 14. Coral Academy has qualified
for the world championship each of the past three years.

Now for business brought to you by G-Bank, your best bank experience ever. Expansion of the Vegas
Loop System could accelerate as county officials consider new regulations.
County Commission Chairman Michael Naft said officials are working with the boring company
on ways to speed up the tunneling process for the mass transit system, which already serves
the Las Vegas Convention Center and several resorts. Then about a board of regents recently
approved plans to tunnel under UNLV property to build a station at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Plans also call for a loop from the Thomas & Mack to park MGM as well as service to Chinatown.

For your health news brought to you by Senator Walsh and your primary care,
discover primary care focus on you. You'll find claims about electrolytes all over social media,
but experts say those claims should be taken with a grain of salt.
Electrolite drinks and powders are meant to hydrate the body and replace salt
that can be lost when you sweat, but Hunter Houston of Vanderbilt University says healthy
kidneys do an excellent job of keeping electrolytes in balance. He says if you're exercising for
less than two hours, drinking plain water is probably fine. Experts also say that in addition to
things like potassium and magnesium, many electrolyte drinks and powders contain some form of sugar.

to pursue the franchise. Make Acres has more. Magic Johnson is the first to throw his name officially
into the hat of being a potential expansion team owner here in Las Vegas. He said, hey,
I want to own an NBA team here. It's like a second home to me. He met with Governor Gombardo,
kind of discussed the initial steps on some other leaders as well from the Southern Nevada area.
