Another poker room on the Las Vegas strip is folding. The poker room at Resortsworld,
Las Vegas will close on March 30 according to a casino spokesperson. No reason for the closure
was provided. Now, this comes two months after Planet Hollywood closed its poker room.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, there were 31 poker rooms in Las Vegas Casinos,
according to Vegas Advantage. Once Resortsworld closes its room, there's going to be 17 left.
Despite the game's popularity, the average strip casino got less than 2% of its annual revenue
from poker in 2024, according to data from the UNLV Center for Gaining Research.
Las Vegas has one of the nation's lowest levels of seniors in assisted living,
according to a new study. Approximately 1.9% of the Valley's adults 75 and older are in assisted
living. That ranks 96 out of 99 metropolitan markets, according to the National Investment Center
for Seniors Housing and Care. The nonprofit found a number of reasons for that.
Obviously, the major reason that we have so few seniors living and assisted living here in Las Vegas
is simply because the infrastructure hasn't been built. Las Vegas is predominantly made up of
single-family homes. A representative of the nonprofit cited another reason, a low share of
people 75 and older living in mountain region markets. If you like our coverage, don't forget to

Apex Armory, the Valley's premier firearms dealer. Federal officials released an even worse
forecast for water levels at Lake Mead. By November of next year, the water level will be 8 feet
below the previous record set in 2022, according to Forecasters. The worsening outlook has put a
shroud over efforts to reach a new deal on how to share water from the Colorado River.
Officials from seven states, including Nevada, missed a deadline last month to come to an agreement.
This month, Nevada took the deal-making into its own hands by pitching a last-ditch stopgap plan
for the next two years without consulting fellow lower basin states, Arizona, and California.
The upper basin states of Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and New Mexico have refused to adopt
any mandatory reductions in water use. And the candidates are set for two big political
races in Henderson. Mayor Michelle Romero will be facing four challengers, including former police
chief Holly Chadwick, Henderson Democratic Club President, Adam Price, political newcomer,
Andrew Ramirez, and interior designer, Angela Scorsetti. Three candidates will be going up
against Kerry Cox for her seat on the City Council, including health care policy advocate,
Jennifer Atlas, retired Clark County construction dispatcher, Leroy Hood, and Annette Dawson Owens,
who was appointed to the Nevada State Board of Education by Governor Joe Lombardo last year.
The primary election is set for June 9th.
Now for weather sponsored by Star Nursery, Eargarn's partner for every blooming thing.
Sunday's guys with light winds for St. Patrick's Day in Las Vegas, starting off your
morning with temperatures in the mid-60s, we'll be reaching a daytime high of about 91 degrees
this afternoon. A strong ridge of high pressure is expected to bring record-breaking temperatures
to the region this week. We'll be feeling 96 degrees on Wednesday, 98 on Thursday,
and possibly hitting triple digits by Friday. So don't forget to wear some blocks,
stay hydrated, and wear loose clothing if you plan on being out. We'll be seeing clear
overnight with lows in the mid to upper 60s.
There's a gold mine of talent in valley schools and mining company Kinross, Nevada,
wants to celebrate it. They've teamed up with CCSD Magnet Schools to award students for their
attendance, grades, and building community in the classroom. This time, the Gold Star Student
Award was presented to Shahir Hassan, an eighth grader at Hyde Park Middle School,
in addition to working hard in class and with the STEM program Future City, Shahir makes helping
his peers a priority. In my religion and other places, I've always seen that it always turns out
better if I just to help people. He is always answering questions. His peers are always
approaching him whenever they get stuck on something that is a little bit challenging.

And now for Vegas Nation and the latest on the Raiders. I'm Heidi Fang and the number of
Georgia Bulldogs on the Raiders roster continues to grow. Two newly signed defenders,
Nikobe Dean and Kwe Walker played together on Georgia's 2022 national championship roster.
Here's Walker on what he thinks he and Dean can do together as Raiders.
We just know the opportunity for us to go out there. In the showcase our talent and just to
bring the type of energy, intensity to the defense, just add to it. Just bring a whole lot of grit
that other guys can feed up on and hopefully they can match our energy, which I know they would.
I don't know where I'm going to use us in the right way and set us up for success.
The pair also played on Georgia's defense with cornerback Eric Stokes, who just signed a new
three-year contract to stay with the silver and black.
Now for health brought to you by center wall senior primary care. Discover primary care
focused on you. There's a penalty for not enrolling in Medicare part B on time and veterans
are not exempt from it. That's important because not every doctor participates in the VA's
community care program enrolling in Medicare part B after turning 65 could cost a penalty of 10%
a month for each 12 month period you missed. This year's general enrollment period continues
through March 31st and as for prescriptions Medicare consider the VA to be creditable coverage.
That means veterans can keep using the VA for prescriptions without incurring a penalty if they
sign up for a part D plan later on. Now for neon lifestyle sponsored by silver
