Laura Dern replaces Helena Bonham Carter in White Lotus

A new actress has been flown to the White Lotus set.

This is to replace Helena Bonham-Carder,

who has parted ways with White Lotus.

Yeah, just four days into filming.

So obviously something went dramatically wrong.

It certainly doesn't seem that she's not sick.

She doesn't seem like she's any kind of diva.

It seems to be that they just felt the character as they'd written it

and as Helena was playing.

It just didn't work in the dynamic of the show.

So they got lucky because you think of who they're going to get

literally a couple of days notice.

They've got Laura Dern.

And Laura Dern will now fly off to France to take up the role.

Although the role is going to be different.

Apparently they're saying it's not the same role

that Helena was playing.

So obviously they did feel there was something wrong

with how it all came together and was playing out.

So Laura Dern in the next White Lotus.

And part of I think why they're able to make it happen so quickly

is that Laura and Mike White, the executive producer,

are actually good personal friends.

I'm watching it for Laura Dern.

And if Laura Dern doesn't work out, then Kylie is ready to go.
