little break and then we'll be back for part one. Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! Chelsea! I didn't think that was going to actually end. So we are going to look at the leads game. And my first question to my wonderful guests was when was the last time that we have two players who were so in sync as Colerham Rogers. I was good and cook.
Okay. Could you argue, I don't know Jimmy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could. I hadn't thought about that. And he really played them together though. Yeah, that's true. You could do it occasionally. You know, muck about what it as was this week. Tinker. I mean, I was quote this. I read the Reflight Hasselbank's book and Soxie's book. And they just were going absolutely berserk at the fact that he never ever played the same team. And it's somebody who's got a hat trick one. We can be dropped for this to be on the bench the next week. Yeah, with the buzzer away of dealing with a football team, wasn't it really? But I think you're right though, from your question. It's just so obvious how great they're working together. And I know there's such great good friends. And it's so obvious they're enjoying actually being on a pitch together. It's actually beautiful to watch. But it's also when they come off and they always go to each other at the end of the game and they have a joke.
And I don't know whether you saw the man of the match award go to Palmer. And Rogers, like just pretending to be human because he'd had all the assists. He couldn't believe that Palmer got man of the match. And then Palmer says, I'll mention you. He said, no, no, don't even worry about it. I'm just an innocent bystander in this. The whole of that, that those series of interviews, the end of the game on match the day, which I have to say, I've been at the game itself, but I came back and watched it again. Only the second half I have to say. The interview with Connor Cody was who was in the studio is a huge laugh, huge, huge personality. Because he's a huge, he loves chatting to everybody. And it makes it, it's really interesting. It makes it, it puts it into a completely different dimension of watching football on television. Because they're, they're such fun. Well, it almost humanizes them because we just need them in their profession and being professional. So yeah, it's so lovely to see them too.
Just they're, they're sealing, I think together. Just play wonderfully. I thought, I thought Rogers just showed what a completely masterful playery is. And by the ability he has, doesn't look if he's going to be quick. He just surges ahead of everybody. He had three wolves players after him when he centered that ball from the sideline. I think it was for who would have been to crash in. I think it would have been the, it was, I think it was the, the barco, barco goal. So these, these wolves players, I'm a chasing him. Without chasing him as well as the least players. Sorry, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. They were, they were just asking, asking for a frame. I thought of wolves. I first just because leads and wolves are in the same kind of bracket for me. I think I meant to say, I meant to say, I don't hate wolves. So I meant to say that we're chasing him like the wolves. I meant to say, that's what you meant to say.
I did. Thank you. Yeah. But there was three because he started off at the same level with them and just outpaced them completely. And then and then centered it. And with it with a delicious center, you just go, you know, I mean, he's a great player. He really has. I have to say, JK, that when, when we signed him, I just went, OK, I'm sorry. OK, I didn't really, I wasn't that excited by it. I thought, yeah, it's obviously a good player. But I'm wrong because he's not a good player. He's a very, very good player. Yeah. And the one thing, and I don't know if it's by luck or judgment, but Cole is just a different player. I mean, taking off completely, completely. He's just basically, he was the player that we got under poach. And I, the joy in his face. Yeah. I mean, he did not stop scowling last year. Did he? No. But also he, he, he, it all comes out. Remember the interview you had mentioned before to Tracy. He had, he, he said he wasn't allowed to go into certain areas of the pitch because they weren't safe zones.
Because that's what Mariska had told him safe zones. Yeah. And then, Weski the other day had exactly the plane, plane problem with man city because he said, I'm not paying any attention to this. Went into the penalty area and scored two goals. And they came out and was all defiant with Mariska afterwards because he tells him where to go and where to play. And so he couldn't quite believe it when Alonzo said to him, you can play wherever you like. You're my man to play wherever you like. And it was like, a kid in the sweet shop. Oh God, I'm going to do what I want. So I think. because I feel he clearly had injury issues last year and he clearly wasn't enjoyed and style affordable because it shackled him and he couldn't get into those pockets of space that he can get into now and he couldn't charge forward and he couldn't take control of a game and I think now it's like literally the shackles are off and he's playing with his best mate and he literally couldn't be happier than if he was in the chippy genuinely he just looks so so and and I think
it's like having a new player it really is. It's quite interesting what you were saying Jk about the safe zones because when we won the conference league and he said I got fed up passing the ball sideways so I thought I'd take it on and then which obviously meant I ignored what I've been told to do because I thought I'd like quite like to win this game and it's quite interesting isn't it that he then retracted that said I didn't really mean that but he obviously did mean that so I basically I mean we won't really talk about the first half because that was just a pooling but I want to talk about the fact that we scored six goals in the second half I mean for me Parma second goal was the best because it was just absolutely beautiful but I mean pick away Danny Wilbeck's goal first goal was amazing. Great so which one was one you enjoyed the most?
Oh the Parma goal was was sublime it was he was right in my eye line and you just saw him curl it around the centre half the goalkeeper couldn't see it and it was the fact he didn't have any pace on it I just loved it I loved it I will never forget that goal it was absolutely joyous joy it's got to be up for gold of the month surely joyous from the genius he's a genius when Parma plays like that he is a genius that was just a genius goal with nobody able to do he just saw the opportunity and and had a dip from outside the area which they never did under my rescue well Fernandez did it and always went over the bar you know so oh god I think we missed him much and I thought the other day very quickly but with nothing to do I'll put my apropos much if if there's a war between us and the and the Argentinians they'll all have to go home again thank you are foreign correspondent it happened to our dealers and via do
remember we're in in 82 from the spurst they had to leave so that'll be because Fernandez will have to pack off back to Argentina but might you saw a margin is and barco let's talk about barco late because I like barco yeah as you say jk we'll talk about it later later um so have you read the running order jk no no um well you knew you were going to talk about it so you must have read a little bit um what I thought was quite interesting was um during the the appalling first half I've I thought Danny Welbeck's a really good guy to come on in the second half which went a minute to go because he couldn't lead the line but once he got a bit of support he looked I mean his two goals his the first goal was really funny when cold palm I sort of mocked saying why didn't you pass me my hat trick yeah instincts for the second goal outstanding it wasn't a fluke if Delac would have been there Delac would have taken his head out to the way
of the ball or he would never have or he'd have headed it over whereas all he did was it suddenly came towards him and he thought I can score there but yeah there it goes in I actually was almost like a trademark goal for him as well yeah yeah I was listening to um at a brief listen to Gary Linnaker talking about the the fact that Pedro against Arsenal um wasn't getting the ball because he was so shackled by Gabrielle and the others and um what's his name Kona Kona and um and so he started on the paper yeah contact that's right and they were saying how uh he isn't a proper he isn't a proper center forward he's much more of a 10 he's a great player but he isn't really he's not greater holding the ball up which he can do but then you get well back and I thought if Pedro gets injured for whatever reason and you've got Palmer and Morgan with him he is the perfect foil that's sent to forward because he can do all those things he is a proper center forward and you know and what I've really hated about all the the rubbish with Delac all the time
is how everybody kept saying well you know give him a chance he was quite good in the world you know he can they can only get better when we think the reality is is that no comparison even just by looking at well-beck and he well-beck is a proper center forward well-beck does those think he you know he can head the ball well he can let but lay people in he can score fantastic um with his first goal of the two was fantastic the way went one way came back and then backed in you think he's a proper player we've got a proper center forward there I'm not suggesting that he'll be picked but you know if they need to have him for any reason or come in with 20 minutes to go as you as you say um Clayton I think he's he's he's your man you know I think there was a lot of criticism about that signing which I didn't quite understand I mean we've been calling for experience maybe it was just that wasn't the type of player that the the support was wanted but I think he's slowly changing everybody's mind because he's not playing like he's of the age that he is he seems to be enjoying himself he seems to be um have you know a bit of life still in him and like you say we've
we've sort of been crying out for someone like him that it could be Mr. Dependable from the bench I actually quite like him I like the fact he can't score against us anymore but um I actually I actually thought it was a smart option obviously knowing they were going to get rid of the lap yeah I I mean I agree and I from the interview did after luten and the follow-up the fact that he's the story's coming out of the club is that he's basically taking Jal Petro under his wing and he's just a mentor and apparently he's just the nicest bloke in the world as well which also helps and yeah I mean I think he's not forget they played together right and so they already had a relationship which is lovely yeah yeah and the the other thing is that nobody in the crowd when we were four three up against Brighton with ten minutes to go was upset that we bought him on the basis
that he couldn't come on and score for them gonna gonna gonna move it on to our manager who listening to last week's pod I didn't know that you were so in love with him J.K but so I just thought the what he did at half time in on on Wednesday was merino esk if I can say that um what I thought was really funny was the fact that I think the first person that came out was Reese James and the crowd sort of roared and then Cole Palmer came out and the crowd brought a bit more and then and then Rogers came out and then netto came out and it was really funny because it was just staggered and everybody got more and more excited um so I mean yes the substitutions were merino esk do we think anybody that got taken off deserved not didn't deserve to be substituted and once we've dealt with that we need to talk about stevo estavale and you know is there a problem with him
Tracy what do you think anybody deserve to stay on of the fall? I think not really I think the way the game was going and they were dictating to us a little bit I think it called for those changes and the fact that it was only for for the second half I think it made sense um I think it was crying out for some magic and that's exactly what we got so it was definitely the right call I think um I can't even remember who went off now um Watson went to go to the good start he had a great game Watson um and I really enjoy watching him I think it was the right call to take him off though because having him and barco they're both quite young so I think if you're going to take off one I think you do take off Reggie um yeah I was glad not to see gusto in again but um now I think it was the right thing to do in fact it was it it probably did more than he needed to do but then he produced us a little thriller so we're not complaining on me I actually made a list of six players I'd
like to change into a change at half time who were the other two um I can't remember well back was probably well no well probably because he had dreadful first half he didn't actually beat the centre half once I think the problem with it was as well with it was that they're very physical as we've established leads he buys very big players barco and um and they appeared to be all over so I would slightly disagree Tracy I thought that Reggie was a bit out of his depth um and he he gave the ball away a bit but he just didn't create anything nothing was created by by that law barco and also they all kept falling over one of the sprinkler system had done too much but um um I just I just I thought it was completely inadequate and I was hoping you know they've just got to change it all around and when the four came on I thought well this is going to be interesting there's always scope for bringing others on as the game goes on I feel I'm worried about Cole Will I don't think he's fit enough at the moment I really don't there's something wrong
with him we're not seeing anything like the player who played a year ago or even a player the player who played at the end of last season I thought he was he was quite having said that everybody was so dreadful at the end of last season perhaps he was the only one it was committed but so it wasn't a surprise to me that he came off it wasn't a surprise to me that he didn't start I thought action pong didn't have a great first off in fact none of them had a great first off because they were being intimidated but what of course happens is that James isn't easily intimidated and he really I thought James had a fantastic fantastic half and then you can't really reach James which is the beauty he got what to have done you can't bully reach James no no absolutely absolutely the next fan cast T-shirt yeah yeah absolutely and then and then of course with the wonderful combination of the two players the I mean the Pedro's goal was magnificent and I loved the I loved the response from the joy with all of them with the goal the such a good goal but also the final extended leg of Morgan Rogers just to flick it into Pedro's path and then him to
hit it beautifully into the corner was a excuse me it was just a fabulous goal when I love the fact that the atmosphere just goes up so many notches and that rubbish to people so there's no atmosphere in the bridge the atmosphere is great in the bridge when we're playing well yeah yeah one it was a wonderful that period when he scored the three goals in 15 minutes was absolutely fabulous football the problem is he needs you know the brief we talk about gusto gusto needs must not play in the first team again if he can avoid it I mean he he went completely into meresca ball for the whole of that first half as almost as if he thought oh I'm actually playing under meresca I thought that the ghost of meresca was just hanging over that whole thing he just constantly passed the ball back or lost the ball or mischallenges he's thinking oh yeah yeah yeah go through what has grown out of it yet and that's really absolutely he can actually move forwards now yeah I think I think for me though I think it was just you're right and I think how many times last year if we
did even conceded first and the heads go down the atmosphere around the bridge like immediately drop absolutely absolutely everyone just goes oh here we go again and I did feel even with leaps scoring the second excuse me I actually thought to myself this doesn't feel like it's over and I think that's the first time I've actually felt like being two goals down and thinking this isn't done I was intrigued by the penalty that was given people all saying well I'm far could even said it was never a penalty and you just go well you know from from where I from what what I saw on the box when I got back I mean we couldn't tell from where we're sitting you look like a stamp and like a stamp and he went and he jumped up in the air when I got home and watched it he stamped on his foot and he's like not a penalty you know it would have been a foul and anywhere any other place on the pitch it's a foul is it because I think the thing is J.K. is the fact that nobody on the field actually appealed for it obviously he went down but I don't
think any of our players thought it was going to be a penalty but I mean just moving on from that and the fact that obviously Gitton's an estervale both got taken off because they were both pretty useless getting to know what I want to think about I mean estervale is a bit of a worry but then I just think about he came on against Arsenal and I was out of my seat I know you're at the ground but I was at home and I was out of my seat I thought yeah he was great that's his only role as an impact sub now because he can't play he can't play in the three because he can't play wing back and I fear that if he carries on playing in the three in Polestria's fit he'll play Polestria don't quite know where Netto goes then because and similarly I don't know if it's Hato Traverea because he wants that speed at the at the fallback now does he go from the three start with the three and then changes it round in the second half to the four which then allows estervale to come on but according to the rumours his his his team is family aren't pleased with him not starting
but when he starts as he did against Leeds he was all over the place he gave the ball away. The only thing I will say is I think actually it was the same as Leeds last year he got bullied against them last year and I felt like that ghost hadn't been laid to rest because it happened to him again the only thing I did notice in the first half was he actually took quite a knock and he stayed down for a little while and but he did get back up but he didn't actually look right after that and he kept bending down and touching his ankles so actually I'm interested to hear what your press is says later J.K. so I wasn't sure whether he did actually get injured but then he wanted to actually continue to play but to his own detriment really. So Tracy that's possibly the first time anybody's ever said that I'm looking forward to your press of J.K. so thank you for that let's let's let's move on to our defence so I this is our worst defence for a long time I said
well I asked the question easy it all was individually I can't say that anybody looks particularly awful I know that Carl Will has been suffering and and people are saying that's because he's been played on the left hand side and he's not really comfortable there we can there at the door of the fact that we are missing a lot well we're missing all of our defensive cover from midfield but you know I look at Atrium Pong and I mean God bless him I'm really glad to see him playing a lot you know the others I can't see that anybody's particularly bad and Cheverea was was quite interesting because I he reminds me quite a bit of Varsbilla Quetta because he's coming his unsung and he just defends he just gets on with it he's the work for yeah and he looks like he's just he does what it says on the tin um does need it like nepo though every time it came across me and
Matthew I didn't know why I was literally like he looks like neto he's actually quite scary maybe he's going on and puts on a moustache and then comes out I think maybe maybe glasses Tracy I don't know the rest it reminds me of Albert Ferrer oh Albert Ferrer but you know I mean JK he's basically an unsung hero yeah yeah who's coming to the club who basically I don't mean unsung hero he's not hero but you know he he's come in nobody knows anything about him and anybody who does say yes I used to watch him in whatever is long and he's just like I think it's interesting actually because when when we signed him the reports coming out of the media were that he was very much like polyester but obviously on the opposite side and I thought well from what I've seen of polyester up to that point I was quite impressed so I thought well I can cope with that it'd be quite nice to have another player like that and have be dominating on the right and the left and yeah I think
you're right I think he does he's a workhorse and he he never gives up either he just keeps chasing and chasing and chasing until there's nothing to chase again yeah he's good I do you like him JK or just but just go just go back to the defense so yeah he can't say that anybody has been particularly awful in any game can you but collectively maybe they need time to get used to system maybe it needs time to gel but I do you think I mean I'm just saying that when we have the defensive cover and we have the numbers in me Phil do you think there's a possibility you might go back to a back fall but interesting wouldn't it well I think first of all you'll try and play with Kaisedo when he plays three at the back I don't think you'll give that up but I just think he's the kind of manager who tactically can choose whatever he wants according to the the situation no it's difficult isn't
it to say whether anybody was was bad I occasionally find Lequart a bit ponderous I occasionally find co-will out of position and gets upset and kick somebody he's needed against full him and sometimes he's not quite part of it I think that's why he was sub-any played action pong action pong's great coming forwards but then seems to get out of position a bit and Hato it seems to be not quite hard enough in the tackle from time to time so whether that's something that I mean at once again it's only early days isn't it we're in the fourth fourth league game of the weekend so it's difficult to this is like this is work terrible expression work in progress which so many of the other dreadful managers have said in the last four years whereas when when it's being said by by Alonzo which he has mentioned it a few times is you you can accept it because it is it's only the fourth game they've played in the league so yeah and to be fair I think where co-will sort of been
in and out Josh had been in and out and I think the only mainstay really has been Laquart hasn't it because he's been pleased played next to for far and he's now played next to co-will I think I think Laquart has impressed me in the fact that I feel like he's a bit more tenacious but I think potentially there's not been enough time for any of them to actually gel and to find a rapport but I think that also is hampered by the fact that obviously our defensive midfield is being made up as we go along at the moment I think once that gets solidified there'll be a bit more confidence across the back I don't I kind of hope Sanchez going meant that was going to be an instant rise but it hasn't quite happened they did have penders behind them as well we don't know how you know he's obviously not played much and maybe there was just that they just weren't they weren't at the races but then also what was in front of them then wasn't what you know wasn't actually they weren't collectively kind of helping the defence so it was more it was just all out attack so yeah I
think I think there is a lot of holes there that can be exposed which is slightly concerning kind of an instant rise it's also inevitable inevitable because of the fact that we're playing so much further up the field yeah a joy to behold but it means that a ball over the top will be run after and similarly a very quick move if somebody in midfield gets tackled or loses it there are enough practitioners to to deal with it you know it's a tricky one isn't it yeah just accept that we need to score more than them you know it's Kevin I think that's yeah I think I've decided that is literally the path of the season just score more than them except the delimeres if you then play a team as well organised as Arsenal you have to have a much better defence but a big part and the only but you know the main positive is on Sunday we played arguably the best team in Europe indeed and we only considered two goals so yeah well not even I'm not talking about the
other end it's just the fact that against Arsenal we only considered two which has got to be you know there'll be teams that do a lot worse than us moving on to Barco he did have a bad first half but that midfield of Gusto Watson and Barco and I'm sort of with Tracy a little bit because I think Reggie Watson did well considering it was a bit of a car crash of a midfield and I'd love to see him play again but with Kaisado and Lafayette I think you know I think he's got he's got a lot about him what I liked about him was the fact that he was actually moving people around and telling them what to do which was quite interesting for a lot of so would have kept him wouldn't have kept him in the squad if he did absolutely absolutely because he's so I thought you know after Barco had given the second goal away he then thrived in a midfield with Reese James and when we were on the front
foot he looked very very good and I do actually I've asked the question in the script if he would have come on against Arsenal instead of Gusto whether there might have been a different outcome but that's that's hypothetical but I mean what'd you like about him most John Jonathan JK Mr. Kid he reminds me of me no he I like his tenacity I like his is waisie like yeah that's the one I like his I like his passing ability hits hits the players every time it's a good passable um let to get a header that was you know nothing anywhere near that you shouldn't have got it because if he was kind of rocket it was cows at Lewin wasn't he yeah I hope the Calvin Loon is being ripped by his teammates and he took the goal very well and he was also he was unbelievably pleased to have scored and yeah and and gave it to the crowd with with everything kissed the badge did a little heart did
he was just it was so the expression is made up he was so loved it he loved it and then he gave a terrific interview well little interview afterwards saying I'm so pleased to be here and do my best for the team and you know you just thought yeah he's you know he's 20 he's he's living the dream he's also playing with it must be fantastic playing with with Colin and Morgan Rogers it really must be you know but I love it and I love his tenacity I love it and he's got a decent tackle on him as well yes so hey you know good to like but with the memory of the first half though I was thinking oh god you got to play better than that and then the and the error at the beginning of the second half but then as you say as you say Clayton absolutely transformed by playing with with with Reese James yeah he came into his own I think and he genuinely looked like he was enjoying himself in the second half and exactly the same as you I think I came away from that and and one of the group chats was popped point off and I said well that barco is a tenacious little
fucker in it it was something about him it was like he had the bit between his teeth and you're right it didn't even think of that comparison to YZ exactly like that he's just ready for everything and I genuinely was so pleased for him that he got like go and his reaction was you know obviously summarizing how he fell after it and I think I was a bit worried about him thinking that he has joined us with thinking the end so was going to be there and obviously the Argentinian connection but that doesn't seem to have bothered me he's got Martin it's now he's got Martin it's a late yeah he has I think yeah I think I'm very impressed by him I just wondered if he came because then so was it tell only friends I don't know I think he came because he was at Strasbourg and they they bought it you know they probably have no no option in the whole thing it's by interesting that he gave an interview in English where apparently
Enzo still doesn't speak English so well done to him I'm going to finish this part of the show on Mike Penders just gather your thoughts I I think he looks he looks good but we saw the best and the worst of him the before the corner that they scored from he made an amazing double save he did wonderful I mean really quite breath taking and then the corner sailed over his head and he was badly positioned for that but I think he looks good I think he's you know he's obviously got potential it's difficult to tell with the defense being as it is I don't think it's easy on a keeper but yeah no I like him I'm sort of I think that he's possibly been told we brought Martin is in for a year to study the ship we want you to learn from him you're playing the Cup games you know stay with it because
you're going to be on number one next year which I I think I think it's good I mean I think it's really unfair that he's basically the next call to our well we don't know and he doesn't know Jake have you got any thoughts before I pressed the button for our little break any thoughts what about everything generally no about Penders no I don't want your thoughts on anything because we'll be until midnight well Pete if you ask me about my day well I met a country musicians in town they were fantastic they don't play with these really good bands right I'm going to put the no no no no no no no no I'm going to basically say we're going for short break and we'll be back in a minute Penders is come to come to Penders we're your fans real opinions I'm Jason Kandy and you're listening to the Chelsea football fan cars
up the shelves football fan cars hello welcome back welcome back to jk and welcome back to Tracy now is our news roundup section and the moment that Tracy has been waiting for now I don't know whether it's because I've got the bongos they were specially polished and waiting by chitchat for me to use so it's jk's presser summary well interestingly enough the the bongos aren't the same bongos as we were supposed to be replacing the bongos with new bongos so these are old bongos well basically chitchat obviously hasn't
spent the money on shows that I'm going to be presenting so that's that's why so there you go I basically there probably today and Monday will be the last two usages of the bongos although Monday we might not have a presser thing anyway so anyway far away jk what did what did your lover it's not my lover I just happen to think that he is lovely he is lovely he is lovely and he's handsome and he's concise and you must have have you not heard the story the Jamie Carrick story I think this is right apparently when Jamie Carriger first joined Liverpool I've got I've got this right way round he was really really I might say in that he was he really fancred the
receptionist at the hotel and it turned out Jamie Carriger long yeah and it turned out that was the Lanzar's wife I think I think that is correct sadly because we're not live and because I'm technically incompetent we haven't got people who can confirm that but have a look and say I think it's right or the so that you know that we're going to be sued anyway carry on with your press on so just say allegedly that was yeah allegedly allegedly yeah yeah but I think that's right I might look it out whilst you're talking not like that listen to your every word do if he's got a current wife they might not be together for anymore okay I'll we'll find out for you to do it do it while I'm doing the presser here because you know I'm gonna waffle on for hours as you know I'm excited about this because I actually haven't listened to it and anyway and the question he was asked as you'd expect it's what we were talking about earlier Colpimer Morgan Rogers still arguing
over who deserved it's Larry the match award are they versus Lee the Kennedy settle was abated and he said for me it's good that both feel entitled to this award for sure both are enjoying themselves playing with the team playing with each other oh enjoying when the other one makes good things for the team and we were expecting that but so happy it's happening and that early days once again he keeps saying early days it is early days only four games we've got a good partnership there as well with Jowl linking with them it's strengths that we have how much do you feel like that I knew they wouldn't they would obviously you'll ask about this the journalists and the sound of course as usual oh god oh so amateur night out anyway how much do you feel like there's strong relationship of the pictures helping them connect on the pitch I would say a lot because even before playing together they were so connected for sure we were following this connection to happen
for a few weeks doesn't make sense before the transfer did Col was very influential and he played an important role which I thought he would do he probably just phoned him up and said yeah he'd come down to the club Morgan as well the club as well we are happy this has come to where it is right now has Morgan exceeded your expectations in terms of how quickly he settled in here he's adapted quite well quite well we're talking about very quick for sure it was a target it was a strategic decision on us we got a few players that were ready to complete and ready to have an instant impact in the team Morgan was for sure a top one we were expecting that for sure he kept saying for sure the way has happened it's been great for sure he's feeling great stocks stop javby stop take the job don't make jk pull out of love with you javby you must thank you mustn't for sure he's feeling great no no no he's enjoying his gauge for sure no his football is connection with the team
the team the whole city manager joke the only way to stop your front line is by kicking them you'll do it I don't know what they're making a joke about it you'll do it yeah and ask no definitely did it for him in the air didn't see it uh how city manager joke the only way to stop your front line is by kicking them at your very best do you think your front line could be impossible to defend against what us to do let's not talk about those big words impossible in football is too big a word of course we faced all this games with the same respect we did last week against Arsenal for sure there are there are seven points no goals conceded there will be hard to beat they have their weapons
as well with transitions and sets he says they have the belief the coach is doing a great job so it's going to be hard and we'll have to be at our best to beat hold tomorrow um it's stirring stuff you've spoken about want you to be more solid and balanced can you remain as good going forward whilst tightening up defensive so very thing we were asking and you remain as good going forward while tightening up defensive that is the goal that is the focus this is the work this is the process there it is that way again we want to be more competitive to be as good or even better in the attack because I think there's room for improvement bloody hell and to have the balance to feel solid as well and to feel strong and defend we want not to concede that many goals that's the work of everyone from the strikers to the goalkeeper for sure is Moises could I say don't like you to be bailable tomorrow now finally it looks like this soon could be a change in the ownership structures of club what do you know about that would you expect
any change to impact your working environment and the way you work usual usual avoidance statements but fair enough I'm not the guy to give you information about those things nothing that I have not on my knowledge I'm working fine I'm very happy with how things are working together aligned and this at the moment is all I can say what it's the normal response from the manager well why would you even ask him he's not going to sign a friend anyway it's not when it of course not of course not but I was almost if they feel they have to show you you know look I'm I'm being interesting interesting yeah and that's all folks did he say why kai say though wasn't going to be featuring kazeed look quite close last week and women saying him since no but he made a statement didn't he about it in the last press conference saying that they brought him back too soon but they were going to be absolutely certain that he'd be fit so I think it'll be Brentford or further a couple more I wonder I wonder whether they are basically going to see how they got in terms of bodies and what happened because he'd probably want
him against Brentford more than you'd want him against hull yeah and the other thing is maybe you don't even plan against Brentford because you don't want him to go off with Ecuador yeah so absolutely right absolutely I don't know I have an update for you Jamie Jamie this is an apologies Jamie Caragher because actually what he did was quite funny it wasn't Jamie Caragher it was Peter Crouch and Peter Crouch basically was when he signed for Liverpool was staying at hotel he had a crush on the receptionist who kept smiling at him and he told Jamie Caragher Jamie knew that he was basically she was the Lonzo's partner but Jamie Caragher encouraged Crouch to repeat his story to the rest of the senior players actually let's again dig a deeper hole so yeah so that's quite funny so well done Caragher you can be funny I haven't finished actually
I do a few more I almost did that thing you're thinking that's enough but I thought actually I'll get to the end he was asked whether Polestra Amiga and Henderson were available he just said no then he was asked the question you're lack of possession how much of that is how you want to play how much is it forced by the opposition and he gave he gave an interesting and he replied I like to have the mindset to adapt to compete we have to click we have to be clear it's going to be hard each game in the context of each game is different which is pretty obvious but we've scored so well in all the games we'll have to change for sure our approach to the game but knowing we're in the process of many things once again the word process I think we're still in the early days once again early days so know what this team is for sure I think we will develop many things we will develop when important players are joining and they're able to play we're having this feeling that we're competing well but there are some things we can do better for sure I'm going to kill him very well
it's possession a key part of what I was saying earlier like trying to keep goals out it is a key part for me it's the key part to create chances have chances to win games not to concede that many chances sometimes for sure with the ball you can control it better sometimes you need to be able to feel your control when you have the ball because the opponents are good and the context in this competition is really hard when the fixtures came out in June you saw you were playing hull in the fourth game would you have expected they would have been ahead of you why not why not they deserve to be where they are they played against united commentary and against villa and they've done it really well they've shown they built a very clear idea of what they want how they want to compete with players were already there last year a few other players came new the mentalities they want to go to the mentality is that they want to fight with everything to get the goal I guess that is to stay in the Premier League they're doing well tomorrow's the chance for us to try to beat them first what's beat them first one in Nali to be as a result their manager was named
Premier League manager the manager there's a manager's also used this league what kind of job is is he is he doing you feel how impressive is it interestingly that for all the other managers always say I won't mention anything about another manager but he actually it does say somebody says not just this year but we to get a promotion from a championship championship for Premier League is a big big success well done for this award but very well done from the promotion from last year and what they're doing is great many is effective to smoke up for us tomorrow we're prepared we are they're not going to be complacency from us we've got to respect for them we know it will be hard to beat you do things well if we complete and played our level I think we'll have a good chance I like him though because okay we've picked up on the for sure but I think I think with him he's I like I like the fact that he is saying it's early days which means in my mind he knows that
this is in the infancy of what he's trying to build and he's obviously being positive and he's seeing the negative then he's not trying away from that so it's quite nice that he's not just making it seem like everything's okay or like Mariska I'm not happy every five minutes he already knows what he's what he's working towards and I feel like that comes through with him I like him a lot I think he's I think he's been huge difference into how this season rolled regardless of the players well what he did after the lead's game when he basically said don't blame the players that I took off blame me because I picked the wrong side you know you are imagine Mariska saying that you can't imagine you remember when he bought mecker on and he said well you know how how am I supposed to score any goals with him in the team because he's he's under under 19 you think you know that blame the player don't you brought him on and that's right he's slagged
off a youth team player just yeah yeah anyway um is that is that it no two to go but the one of that they're very short when a Henderson and Amiga going to be available not tomorrow hope the Brentford will see maybe for next he said the same about sides later asked whether it was okay yes yes and then he was asked to put Pedro andetto last one Pedro andetto what have you made of him since working with him he's been playing as a wingback because he acts as an example so the other wingers for me he is a winger you can call him a winger or wingback because he has many qualities he can play on the last line he can defend on the first line so he has this capacity to do many things he's good in one b1 he is scoring goals he has a fantastic degree I mean you can tell this he likes it but he did say I like him very much I should be scored the goal again to write he connects very well with the players around I knew him well from watching many games he shall see with him you know he's going to compete you want this kind of slaring your team I'm very happy with Pedro and the work he is doing so in January he's going to be off the south but no no no
well I mean if I can just skip in um to say as part of our news round up but he has actually signed a new contract until 2032 does that mean anything no I think I think it's quite interesting on the basics that he was going to leave in the summer yeah um he's gone from that I think that came off of I think that only really I don't know whether that came from him it was more that it was there was a headline that he was interested I don't know if there was any indication from the player but well if you remember that we were so dreadful last year that we yeah we we almost thought he was what wasn't in the six we said we keep do you remember he was in the audience on your bike sports I was thinking 60 million take him yeah yeah yeah I think I think the thing is with him is like a lot of players I think you know we don't know how much he was affected by how he was told to play because we had the wingers who'd never beat a person they all stopped and that was play it back and what
have you and yet this year he doesn't seem to be doing that but what was interesting was in the first game he had that little set two with Reese James didn't he when Reese sold it to Chase back and he didn't and we're just is he is he this year's victimoses that's what we we remains to be seen um so that that was another piece of news thank you JK and the only other piece of news which basically should go down under April the first um was the comments by our former manager Manizio bot Chitino who basically thinks that Spurs should now be handed the league title for 2016 2017 because we were found guilty of cheating Chelsea were punished they admitted so that's it the title should be for the team that was second it's true that we didn't complete compete with the same rules it's completely fair to say that we didn't compete before the start of the season with
the same card so this was on the basis that we signed Hazard and a few others um and not the fact that they would crap and and when we had the same players and they lost the title to Leicester um perhaps that one game is uh should be for to should be replayed what a buffoon thing to say the same players the same players should come yeah so we bring them all back yeah we'll bring them all back so we can we're gonna we're gonna leave that there we are basically going to uh have a little break and then it's going to be our weekend merch preview and I'd which which little thing should I play I don't think we've got anything to play so um um I'll play this one
I'm Jason Kandy and you're listening to the Chelsea football fan cast proper Chelsea football fan cast that was the one it was wasn't it well come back welcome back welcome back to Tracy and welcome back to J.K so we're now going to have our weekend match preview now uh for those of you who are listening to the podcast and who normally watch and what have you chitchat has this very clever graphic where he puts up his proposed team selection um my guests have no such graphic and I doubt whether J.K is actually open the uh the email yeah um so I haven't so my team selection was quite easy because I just cut and pasted the team from Arsenal last week because I think that's a team that's going to play which is Martinez and goal atchampong for farmer Laquah Netto James Lavia Hato Palmer Rodgers
and Shell Petro um personally I can't see any changes potentially coalf ratchampong but no one did enough on Wednesday to press their first in claims and I've put bar barco I didn't but bar bar bar bar bar bar bar okay um uh J.K first of all what do you think I agree with you completely oh blind me okay Tracy I agree too I think he's going to stick with his strongest side side and that is the strongest side currently yeah okay well that was a very short and sweet section our history against hull uh we meet hull for the fifth year's time in all competitions needing three more goals to reach 100 um this is something I didn't know um they were the first ever competitive visitors to stand for bridging 1905 where they were beaten 5-1 did you enjoy that game
J.K? I did one of the reasons why they were beaten 5-1 because it took me three days to get in the game we started without them um so the the sides last met in fedbury where the uh the wonderful um razzinia side one four-neil um actually that's probably um the laps best game wasn't it um Petro Netto got a heart trick didn't the when that was game the laps rounded the goalkeeper and and sort of wait 20 minutes before yes then not putting it in yes um last time hull we're in the Premier League we won both games 2-0 the AGO cost of netting in both games I have absolutely no recollection of either one of them uh we have won our past nine games against hull uh and we're on beaten in all ten Premier leagues uh we're undefeated at stand for bridging against the the tigers uh therefore victories have been uh all at home and the last time is 1988 uh I'm not going
to bore you with the last five results um so just before uh you guys are let loose on this so they've made a strong start their third in the table they've got two wins one draw zero losses from the opening three games um as we know uh they have they beat man United 2-0 uh one of the funnier things that's happened so far this season they haven't let in a goal uh but this is interesting they have faced 45 shots and haven't let in a goal they have the best shot to goal ratio of any team in the Premier League so far they've had the fewest total shots in the division which is 14 but have scored three um they had quite a a churn of players both in the um in the window um and one of the players who they did by who is their goalkeeper who's constantinos slacchus
from Olympiarchos who got Jack Buckland as well though well this is what i was going to say they bought Jack Buckland as well who would have expected to walk straight into that team and basically um he hasn't played which is quite funny not for him but for for just uh what have you and the other player that i noticed and i saw him was the what's the uh the the uh couple of the guys named the guy they got up front who uh didn't go to scottlin with the world cup he probably should have done who used to play for chef juneisid and scored against us i believe uh maybe when potter or two pulls man that's the one who basically was an absolute nightmare in terms of playing you know so trace your stuff with you what sort of game do you think we're going to see i think we are going to find it tough to open them up they are so defensively strong but also all their players are bloody massive um i think it's going to take a little bit of
trying to unlock them but i can see it being a more cagey affair than what we've seen so far but i'm happy to be wrong on that i think well unzips them like a good pair of juneis so you yeah yeah the bad things were unfit very well mind do mind do mind do mind very good very good very good sick action um uh i'm i'm looking through the the the player says yeah i don't recognise any of them no well that that's why i didn't read them out i mean basically target uh back target i think this guy noble mendi who's sent half is is a big lad and i think he has been very very good um i'm a bit like chid in terms of the fact that i really don't tend to watch a lot of games that don't involve us i certainly haven't seen any of their games um i've watched a few highlights so far this season even though um
match of the day is something worth watching because we're playing well um i just i just think fling against villa um the nil nil or it wasn't actually boring okay but they did look very organised yeah and i don't think mcburney's actually gorgeous so welcome to the bridge yes help yourself time um yeah what i saw the highlights from the Coventry game where Coventry sort of battered them and they basically broke um twice and they should have scored both of them but they only scored one of them and the guy that scored and this is really really helpful and really informative um was a new zeland guy who played in the world cup and he scored the goal and i can't tell you his name because it's not been mentioned in my extensive research that i did um it's a teenage tale mr. grimstale you know almost mr. gristhale no no let's get down
down i think there's obviously the manager is he's good he's you know i when um alonzo said that about them um possibly was blowing smoke but i think that the general inference is he got promotion with a team that had a transfer in bargo and couldn't buy any players and he still managed to get them up which obviously an amazing job um i mean i think we'll be tough i watched the uh the match between them and who did they beat their final final um oh yeah barra barra barra yeah and barra just battered them and they just went up to the other end and and scored a goal having been battered but i think they have this ability to be like tenacious in his offensive qualities you know they seem quite together as well and i think
they've been the fact that they did have such a good season coming up they're obviously coming quite far away so i do think and they probably pulled off some great results i mean feet in the man United Tunisal amazing they're covering three they face them before um and then villa who actually i think that's the first game that's important villa play fairly well to be fair so and their skill is still managed to mention your conceit so i think that's the game they're going to play it'll be back against the wall let's see because i felt like lute and did that a bit too out and we managed to unlock them it's i guess it's going to be off right on their defensive if we didn't see it just playing against the low block because i think this lock will come our lock i'll actually get past them in a way that they know we'd ever achieved the tall of season season i i think that's right and i i think that the the thing is that what we always say is that we
didn't we don't have the creative players or we didn't have the creative player certainly be cold injured nor formed last season to break down the low block whereas i think now we potentially do i mean well we'll see tomorrow because it will definitely be um it will be a low block uh so the the person i was trying to think and i'm no it's not i've got a super league player it's pretty difficult to find out so i i will look carry on with you it was it tin stale tin stale stale i don't know d a le tin stale not good i'm still okay okay well i about your knowledge okay no no i'm asking i don't know just one player in the whole list of the house players didn't have a didn't have a country next to his name i just wondered if that was the case they didn't realize that it was from the zero museum yeah no you definitely was he was basically um he was the guy that scored the goal against coventry poor old frank by the way and then i have in a good time are they um they've had hard
fixes they can't pay no for well they were home to hull so you would have thought that would be something that they they thought they probably could have could have got um bum bum bum bum it keeps coming out with bloody rugby player so i'm giving up um so what do we think we're school prediction Tracy what are you reading? i think two new ask but i don't think it's going to be yeah i think three one oh you think we'll actually i think it's now eighteen games in a row in the premier league where we haven't kept a clean sheet yeah possibility that i'll give it to guys maybe i'll change it to two one actually i don't think we can underestimate the the the brilliance of the attack you know i really think
the chapter might score three might score four you know i the question is once again is how many we're going to conceive if they're not coming forwards i reckon that we could it could be another tennis school you know i wonder whether they're going to come to us and just like try and hold that line with the whole team and maybe we'll find it a little bit harder to play through but if anyone can i think we're leaving our in our front three if we get a goal they've got to come forward isn't it they've got to they've got to come over so i'm very optimistic about our team again teams who aren't having got as good players as us i really am i don't think we're going to come on stuck really good okay so you've basically gone two one and three one i'm going to go four nil there you go i'm going for the clean sheet i mean what is evident is that obviously against Manchester United i don't know both the goals came from set pieces i think they might have done
and the goal against Coventry so there's go three goals and the goal against Coventry was a break away um so yeah i mean i yeah i can't see us losing and i i i can i can see us winning so um okay well we will see we will see um are we all going tomorrow sorry um not together but yes yes oh well you're picking me up at 10 okay all right i'm doing i'm bringing up i'm bringing my horse and car i'll be there could take us three days to get to the bridge and how how's the how's the roasted swan these days jk uh they they've reduced the different caterers i think they're they're trying to get more for their money's worth you know they're reducing the the goodies and the television doesn't work
and the next to us where i sit normally and the the boy who attempted to beat me up when you with when the last time i took you as moved to the championship next next next next next next to next to us and i've applied to be the the fans represent it on the forum in the forum yeah i've applied when i've only applied the chances are very slim i think i'm a thick persona non-brata i'm known as a trams of shotgun so i think could you could you please expand on that comment that you made that i had nothing to do with that man trying to beat you up to us no no but you were wonderful because you prevented him from dating me up well you did not that he tried to beat me up you said you said you said we're here to watch the football and to have a nice meal we're not here to have this kind of conversation you were particularly with the south africa you said all right went back i didn't help the situation very much but i think swearing at you i don't i don't think you helped the situation at all but thank you for remembering
can i just say something before you end yes um so over the last few weeks the club have been sending out emails and putting communication in very very very very to ask the fans um to curb any chanting that may be offensive to other people namely sectarian charting where we don't really need to sing about the hope or the ira um and it has getting it is getting to quite serious levels now because um we have had to go up we get for a charge for the chowlin game last year and um there have been some other reports from games this year so the communication for that has stepped up because it is now at a critical level where it needs to stop because the more that we are reported for these types of things the harsher the punishment they're going to get the punishment for chowlin is
um awaited so we don't actually know what it's going to be um but if any of those other reports come to fruition then i can only see that chowlin will be made an example of so i'm doing my level best on a match day just to remind people um that they're not sort of sing songs that we should be singing we have plenty of others it's not even a chowlin song so if people could refrain or if you notice somebody singing that song give them a dig thank you are they likely to uh um it not to be a fine are they likely to close parts of the ground well this is my concern i think i read um a few reports from um clubs that have had similar charges and they did start with a fine but there is an owner son Chelsea now to either educate or eradicate and it probably needs a little bit of both but um if the club are put in the efforts in to
communicate this with supporters and it falls on deaf ears then i don't doubt that the punishments will become harsher and we could end up then either not being able to support our side or so i think it sort of got that level i think there was a little bit of it at our snorkel which was really disappointing because every effort had been made before that game in particular and um it was still being sung in pockets of the ground and also in the concourse i got the feeling from what other people have said because it was a bit of a fracute to Chelsea you can't tell us what to do but essentially this is a problem for the club and supporters alike so this isn't about trying to control you this is you shouldn't be offending the person potentially next to you i think it should be well-known if that a lot so in the backroom staff are Catholic so and you could be sitting next to the pope you never know exactly he could be in disguise we
don't want to offend him um but yeah no i think it has reached a level now where if we continue to be reported for this then the punishments are going to be harsher and it will it will be the ones to miss out that's how i feel about it um so yeah we're just trying to spread that word keep it clean people keep it clean so is that the main one is the live-a-port song allowed you know in your live-a-port slums um well they don't like it up there but i don't think only once said anything about it at the bridge right i think it's that in particular because obviously you know it's specific yeah i'm religion and it's probably no worse than actually singing a song that would be racist to be honest so um even glad it was a ranger song and it's kind of made it sway into our terrorists and they're not allowed to sing it so you know considering they created it and they're not allowed to sing it i don't really understand why we are i mean it's got no reference to Chelsea it's got nothing to do with us in the slightest i know just keep singing more grand Rodgers on the 90 minute
on low so Tracy when you say there's been communication i mean it might be that i just blaze over when i get one of the 75 emails a day i appreciate it yeah i'm you know buying the latest home accessory um so was it actually in a specific email or was it in no so originally it was a specific email so after full and where it was heavily chanted um they put a note out to say that it had been reported and it was probably one of their harsher emails to be fair basically saying don't sing it um and i think that went out to every supporter as it as a stand-alone email but you're as you rightly said we end up about three thousand a week so it is hard to pick them apart it also went into the whatsapp channel and and i don't know i think they're going to try and
maybe step up that level of communication they called us to me in so i went as part and other members of supporter groups when um kind of um bit of a sounding board really what do they what do we think that they could do that actually might get taken notice of i've been putting in group chats before games just to remind that don't think this if you value your membership in your season tickets not worth the time um because we don't know essentially it's against the rules and regulations of of the club so um you know if they feel that it's not been listened to and the punishments keep coming then don't be surprised if you get pulled out and and ask to answer for yourself but they are they have stepped it up and it was also in the uh match they guide before us as well but again that would have come in an email that a lot of people won't have opened but yeah they're they're looking at ways to try and stamp this out now because we don't want the clubs
keep getting in trouble and we don't want to get in trouble either. No that that's absolutely right and it's quite interesting because i think um yeah i mean put it on the put it on the school board making an announcement before kick off you know someone did actually yeah somebody did actually suggest that at the meeting so i think the problem is it being in a way game song so where for some reason for about three years we were singing the salomon kalu song that had nothing to do with the players on the pitch at the time um it kind of faded out but it seems to have come back with a bit of vengeance and i think because Chelsea have put out this communication there's some rebellious folk amongst our fan base that kind of just wanted to stick two fingers up and say i'll do what i want but essentially it will get to a point where you won't be able to do what you want because you won't be there to do it so yeah i think it's it needs to be treated with the seriousness it deserves and
i think we kind of need to come together collectively that if we hear it see it then we just give people a bit of a dig okay thank you for for racing now because that is very very important right we are just going to take a final break and then we will come back to say goodbye real fans real opinions i'm Jason kundy and your listen to the Chelsea football fancast up the shelves football fancast dolehole welcome back um so if you like what we do and want to support us you can become a Chelsea fancast patron by donating a few quid at www.patreon.com forward slash Chelsea fancast
