The Don Lemon Show — LEMON DROP | BREAKING NEWS: Trump FIRED Pam Bondi!. Machine-transcribed; use the interactive transcript above to jump the player to any line.
We start with the big breaking news, which is according to Simifor and MS now, Pam Bondi is on her way out at the reporting. I'm at Baba. I'm at Baba's here with me. The reporting is that she has been informed that her days as Attorney General are soon. Yes, we are seeing reporting from Simifor corroborated by MS now and a bunch of other news organizations that Trump has told her explicitly that her days are numbered and you want to give her a heads up before the big announcement. I guess so she's not notified by tweet in the middle of a speech like Kristi Nome was, but basically what we're getting is that Pam Bondi's days are numbered and that it's due to MS now specifically said the other people the White House is going to say they're official narrative, but what we see is that MS now is saying it's because she didn't aggressively enough pursue his political opponents. So that's the latest news. Well, I'm here to tell you that she was. Our political opponents are people he deemed to be his
political targets, targets, arrivals. Interesting because what I read, which was the New York Times report last night that was saying he was considering it, is that he wanted to possibly replace her with Lee Zeldin, who is I forget his exact title now, but he is a former congressman from New York, Long Island, and actually was a congressman in my very own district. Yeah, he's head of EPA right now. And I guess they may he it seemed I mean, he's still a sick of fat and he'll do the bidding, but it seems maybe they want a more low key, more and be more competent person to actually pursue the goals because Pam Bondi was kind of stumbling over her own feet over everything, right? Like we had the Lindsey Halligan hiring how that was handled, which led to the teacher James and James Coney's first attempt at the prosecution being thrown out. And then the grand jury rejected the teacher James twice, right? So there's all these fumbles that they made. So I think maybe he wants more competence this time as opposed to the show of it. But either way, man, I'm happy to see
it go. I'm happy to see it go. Yeah, look, when I told someone before they said, well, chances are he's going to get rid of Pam Bondi, who's incompetent, replace her with someone who is a bit more competent, or competent, excuse me, and is worse. No, I don't know if Lee's Eldon will be worse or not. He was a very, very conservative congressman when I knew him. And very much a loyal MAGA person. Yeah. So I mean, I think you're right. I think he's going to be looking for more competence. And I will just say, Don, you and I kind of called the order of people in our Christie Nome live stream. We did after she got fired, we were talking Pam Bondi might be next, Tulsi Gabbard will potentially be I'd and we're also seeing in the Guardian that Tulsi Gabbard Trump is like basically taking a straw poll, kind of going around the cabinet, like asking, like, should I fire Tulsi? Should I not fire Tulsi? So I think like we're getting, we got Christie known first, looks like Pam Bondi's
going to go down the list and then maybe Tulsi. And from what we're saying, and what we were saying, previously what we're seeing now, it kind of tracks that he's going to be throwing people under the bus ahead of the midterms. He's cleaning house and throwing people under the bus. There was someone who I thought made a very astute assessment. And let me see if I can find it here for you. Made a very, said the, here it is. This is Amy Siskand on Twitter saying, trust me, I am no no, no, Bondi or hang on. Here it is. Trust me, I am no fan of no, no, Gabbard or Bondi, but I do find it notable that of the cabinet members, Trump has fired or is reportedly considering firing all three or women. How about Hegsett, Kennedy Jr. Can't even find a CDC director to match with his craziness. Patel is a laughing stock and so on. Why aren't they being fired? Honestly, a good question. A good question. You know, I mean, obviously, you know,
right, like, Bambundi and them, they're not, they're no feminists, but the pattern is here. Like he's targeting, he's targeting women first, whereas the incompetence is definitely shared across the board among the men like Cash Betel, especially to not being fired yet with all the embarrassment of him flying on the jet with his girlfriend and him just being out at, you know, games while the FBI is investigating serious crimes. So, no, man, they're all women so far. And did you see the Caroline Leavitt moment? What do you kind of like? What happened? I've been busy on the view. Have you been busy on the view? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, shock. We didn't lead with that. Don's fresh off the view right now, guys. If you haven't seen it, he was just on in a fresh Easter suit on the, on the view just now. But I put you at man. So like the moment with Caroline Leavitt the other day was, I think it was yesterday where basically they were asking him like, Oh, what's going on? He was like, Oh, bad publicity. I get 93% bad publicity. And maybe I don't know. Maybe, maybe, maybe Caroline's doing a bad job.
Yeah. Just another power move. He keeps doing this. He did it to headset too. In the cabinet, like we talked about last week, it's just, it's insane. He just, I think there's more than notice. I think there's more to come. I think Cash Betel is going to go. I think, as I said, I, you and I both said, Pam Bondy was next. Remember that? Let's just start there. On this very platform, we said that Pam Bondy was probably next, but she may have more job security because she knows what's in the Epstein files, right? And then we also said Tulsi Gabbard. But I think we said Tulsi Gabbard. I don't remember that for sure. Don't quote me on that. Because she's just sort of a political hack, right? An opportunist. But while we were right, you were right. We were right, man. We were right. We were saying that Pam Bondy could be thrown on the bus for the Epstein file handling. And I was going to say, Oh, well, Pam didn't handle that whole thing. Well, rather than him taking ownership. And the thing is on the job security point,
one thing he's doing differently than he did in his first term. He's knowing not to kick them out of the admin because he doesn't want to create enemies. So he's keeping them in the admin. So he's basically firing them from their role, but then moving them within the administration. Like we see that made up role for Chrissy. No. So I'm assuming that Pam Bondy's not going to be totally fired. I think she's going to be removed from this position and probably move somewhere else because he doesn't want people outside the administration because he doesn't want enemies. He doesn't want them talking. That's the kind of energy that's why I think he's keeping them around. Yeah, I am. I don't know how this is going to end because the more he leans into this authoritarian this authoritarian nature that he has, the worse it gets for him. And every time he replaces someone truly, they're always replaced with a someone who does a worse job. And so he and he replaced our Christi gnome with what's his name? Mullen was Mark, Mark Wayne, Mark Wayne. Yeah, Mark Mullen.
It's not Mark Wayne it's one word Mark Wayne. It's McQueen. Okay. Yeah, Mark Wayne. Mullen. And you know, Mark, he's trying to sound like he got it. He got to just keep making Mark me. Well, I'm just saying I'm kind of making a joke, but he doesn't. There's no space between Mark and Wayne so that would be Mark Wayne. So he replaces him with men who are, you know, aggressive. What's his name? Mark Wayne Mullin is wanted to start a fight with someone right in the Senate. And then I don't know, Lee Zeldin, I think it's just a, you know, very, you know, I believe, don't quote me on this, but I think he's like a war hawk. He's very conservative. You know, that sort of conservative value driven, you know, total line kind of Republican, kind of mega person. Yeah. No, definitely. And I think, like you said, he's targeting all these women first because Trump really, I don't know, this time he's on this like, you know, hyper toxic masculinity, tough guy nonsense. That's only because why Hegseth staying around because
he likes the way Hegseth yells at press conferences and beats his chest and claims he's he's stronger than he is. And I really think that, um, yeah, no, I think you're right. I think he keeps replacing them, moving them out and then he moves these people into these other positions. And I think we're going to see this keep coming. I think you're right. I think heading into the midterms, he's going to keep trying to clean up shop. He's going to keep trying to then misplace blame because, you know, things aren't going well. As we saw his, his remarks last night, he is desperate, gone. He is like, have you seen him this desperate before? It's like last time I saw him this desperate, was like, right before the mother report came out, he's he's acting, he's acting froggy. Well, I didn't, yeah, but yes, I, but to me, it's, well, it's desperation, but it's also, what do you call it when someone is crashing out? It's almost like he's, um, he's manic. That's the word. He's like, he's manic. Yeah. Where he's like, okay, I got to do something about this and every time
he tests, that was the point I was trying to make earlier. Every time he tries to replace something or cover it up or distract from it, the distraction, the replacement, the cover up becomes worse than what he was trying to distract from. So same thing. I think with the, the people he's trading in for somebody else and same thing with the war last night, uh, that speech last night, which he said nothing at all that he hasn't been saying in two weeks. Actually, as a matter of fact, I think he made it worse. And if he thinks that this is helping him or anyone in that this administration, they're out of their minds. Do you think that because you know, everyone thought like Susie Wiles and, you know, blah, blah, blah, that too. Do you think that this administration is just completely clueless all the way around, all the way around as we say? Yeah. I think so. I mean, I think some of them know like the Dire Straits that they're in, but because the administration's built around protecting this guy's ego, none of them can, can, can, can even begin to think about telling him the truth. So no truth is getting to him. As we talked about last week, we's getting these two minute
montage videos. Susie Wiles is executing his agenda while trying to placate his ego. I think that there's knowledge of how bad this is going, but they also desperately want to keep their jobs. They don't want to upset him. So none of that truth is bubbling up. And, and like we saw on that speech last night, no one had the balls to tell him, hey, man, this speech is, is it nothing burger? You're not delivering anything new here. You're kind of just like restating the same thing over and over again and contradicting yourself within the speech. In the speech, he said, we obliterated that Iranian nuclear site. And then we're not going to talk about the threat again. And it's like, he can't keep his story straight in the middle of a 20 minute speech. And no one is telling him otherwise. Amy Kapetis is breaking news. Bondi has been removed. You know, I know that's true because we're sitting here discussing. And I don't know, but we're going to check the reports because this is breaking during, oh, yep, yep, there it is. Bondi removed. Todd Blanche is now the
acting AG. Yep. I swear, he knows when we're doing our lives. And that's when he decides to fire people. This will happen with a Christian home, too, literally. Same time in eight. That's some shit. I take any glee in this. No. I mean, I mean, hey, I'm going to, I maybe I should do a little video. Maybe like you said, karma is a bitch. And I always say every dog has his day and sometimes, too. Man, man, man, man. All right. I'm going to do a video right here. Do it on the live. Yeah. Let's see how it's going to do it on the live. Breaking news into the Donald Lemons show newsroom. It is official. Pam Bondi has been removed as the attorney general of the United States, according to the reports, also saying that Todd Blanche is now the acting AG. We're getting more details in, but I told y'all, karma's a, you know what? And every dog has his day and sometimes, too.
So, tape, Pam Bondi. Should I report that? Yeah. Why not? I mean, like, hey, y'all just saw how the, how the, how the, how it's made? All right. And when you see these videos, that's how it's done. One take, one take on. I know. One take. Bondi removed. Todd Blanche acting AG. Holy shum moly. How, how are you feeling? Look, I think he's going to, again, I believe as people say he's going to, I think that I think, I think that Lee Zeldin is more competent than her. So he, and I think he's probably going to want to prove himself and he's really going to go after them. But I think it's too late. I think that this, this Department of Justice is off the rails and has, has been for a while. And is any, every, anyone who's just continues to chase someone's political enemies and rivals, it's a fools errand because there are things that really need to, attention brought to them, child sex,
trafficking, you know, issues that relate to real racism in this country and not the Department of Justice saying, white men, if you are discriminated against, get in touch with us. It's like, wait, what, what are you doing? Like, there are big issues in this country that need to be tackled. And protesters or journalists like, come on. Like, can we have some proportionality here about things? If they, if, if, if, if Pambandese DOJ had not done what they did to me and to the protesters, then it would not be as big of an issue. Perhaps she might still be there. But I think people are looking at this going, wait, where are we? Even conservatives? Why is this happening? Do we really want to go down this road where we start arresting reporters for reporting? Because then what happens if a Democrat is in office? They're going to go after us conservatives. So I think that most rational people realize that. So when, if Lee Zeldin can tell Donald Trump, like Donald,
like Mr. President, we have more important things than some of the things that you're going after. I know that you, you know, it makes you feel good, but it's not a good look for us and it's not a good look for you. I don't know if he has the testicular fortitude to be able to stand up to Donald Trump, like that. But if you, that's, that's what you have to do in order to be effective under Donald Trump. And I believe he respects that to a degree. But who am I? Yeah, or at least, yeah, or at least have the competence and, and, and, and compass to know when you're overreaching. When, when Pambandese came after you came after, and specifically targeted this black independent journalist along with the protesters, it was very clear that she did not know what she was doing. The, the, the whole, the charges, I read the indictment. It's, it's, it's frivolous. It's meritless. Nothing in it holds any meaning. Some of the stuff is false compared to your actual live stream. So again, she overreach, she, she, they, she tripped over her own toes trying to protect
and uphold Donald Trump's vindictiveness. And what we ended up seeing was that wasn't enough. Loyalty, loyalty performances are not enough. Going after Trump's enemies, you will still have to fall in the sword for Donald. It's a one way street of loyalty. And these people who came after you come after, try to come after James Comey, try to come after Leticia James, no matter what Pambandi did. She even tried to cover up the f-scene files on behalf of him, no matter what she tried to do. It wasn't enough to protect her job. Here's the thing, when you and I talked about that it was possibly, or probably the end of the road for her, it was after that disastrous performance at the Senate. First of all, the Senate she was disastrous. But then during the one with the, with the congressional one, oh my gosh, that was, the Dow is 50,000. The Dow's not, the Dow's not looking down, cooking that way anymore. The Dow is at 50,000. And I said, I said, and she probably thought
that that was good, but it's not. No, yeah. And again, she was performing for him. And she thought he would like that, but no, this was desperate. And I think, yeah, that's how we knew, that's how you could smell the way she was behaving. I think it was clear to her office and her long ago that her days were numbered. And I think there'd been other discussions previously. That's my suspicion that she was like, they were like, hey, you're on notice, you're not doing well. You got to step it up. And her way of stepping it up was embarrassing herself at this hearing was targeting independent journalists like you was, was sending out frivolous indictments to Trump's opponents. And they're getting laughed out of the grand jury room, effectively getting all these indictments thrown out. She has not, they have, she has not successfully prosecuted. So far, I think yours will also prove that to be the case as well. Any of Trump's targets, all of them have been thrown out by my count. That's actually true. Right? Is there any success? Nothing. What is it? Lisa Cook, whatever.
James Comey, what you would call it is, Bolton is still there. That's still going through the process. I don't know. But yeah, me and whoever, but it's, she owe for, she owe for a thousand attempts at the at the basket. And she's not, it's not looking good. And she's out. So beyond Mr. Sooth Sair, Mr. Crystal Ball Reader, we, we posited that it could be Pam Bondi next. And then Tulsa Gabbard, that's what they're saying in the reports. And who do you think beyond that? I said, Cash Patel. Yeah. I don't know if he's going to get rid of Kennedy because it doesn't really, you know what I mean? And it's sort of, he's letting Kenny just do his own thing. Yeah. But maybe, can you get rid of Bondi and Patel, the people who know what's in the Epstein files, both of them? I think he's going to just move him around. Like, that was the point earlier,
was I don't think he fires him to kick some out the admin so they get angry. They're going to invent some new fake role for them, just like he did with Christina. Moving him around, you're right. Donald, they're saying Donald Trump is saying that she is transitioning to a much more effective and needed role, much more needed and important new job in the private sector. That's what he said. Yeah. That's a quote. Oh, so she out now. I love that. She out there. Bondi private sector. Yes. That okay. All right. This is different than Kristie Nome. Yeah. Pam Bondi's. Oh, here's the whole, I have the whole truth. Oh, you have the truth. Yeah. He did a truth. Yeah. He did a truth. Yeah. He did a truth. Social post. This is semaphore White House correspondent posting the truth. Social book. Pam Bondi is a great American patriot and a loyal friend. Loyal is the only part of that. That's true, who faithfully served as my attorney general over the past year. Pam did a tremendous job overseeing a massive crackdown and crime across
our country with murders plummeting to their lowest level since 1900. We love Pam. We'll fact check this after and she will be transitioning to a much needed and important new job in the private sector to be announced at a date in the near future and our deputy attorney general very talented, respected legal mind, whatever Todd Blanch will step into serve. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Oh, she got fire, bro. So maybe he's elevating Todd Blanch. Maybe Todd will get that job instead of Lee Zeldin. Who knows? But as you said, she out. She got fire. Oh, she got fire, fire man. She got. She got booted booted. That is not. No, no, you can, you, you got to write. You can do a little dance. You can celebrate, bro. You can.
