Edmonton Oilers star Leon Drysidal is out for the rest of the regular season with

a lower body injury. The 30-year-old center got hurt during Sunday's 3-1 win over the

Nashville Predators. He took a hit early in the first period, came back for two quick

shifts, but sat out the rest of the game. The Oilers have 14 games left, starting Tuesday

against the San Jose Sharks. Their third in the Pacific Division, just one point behind

Vegas and two back of Anaheim. Playoffs kick off April 18th, right after their final regular

season matchup. Team Captain Connor McDavid says, no one can fully replace Drysidal's

leadership, but the group has plenty of voices to step up. Coach Chris Noblouch plans to

tweak the top power play unit, where Drysidal led with 16 power play goals. They'll experiment

with lying combinations during morning skates. Players like Ryan Nugin Hopkins stress

tightening defense to create scoring chances without Drysidal offense. The team will shuffle

centers, giving more ice time to guys like Josh Temanski alongside McDavid, Enrique,

and Dickinson. Drysidal has been a scoring machine, fourth in the league with 97 points

in 65 games. He's a four-time 50-goal score, with major awards like The Heart Trophy and
