This is really great for the first of the year as a review and a planning tool, but it's also fantastic anytime throughout the year that you're feeling like you need to really get re-established with who you are and what's truly important to you. This is the meditation minis podcast with your host hypnotist, Shell Hamilton. This meditation is based on the book Five Wishes by Gay Hendrix. It's a shortened version of those five wishes and done in a guided way. Go ahead now and close your eyes and take three deep breaths letting out a little sigh on the exhale. Signalling to your body and mind that it is time to relax, to unwind, to check in on the inside. And as you finish up those breaths just allowing the sound of my voice to make any effort at all that it takes, I'd like you to imagine yourself
walking down a path. The path to someplace that feels really beautiful and safe for you. Maybe you're walking into a glade in the forest or maybe you're making your way down a cliff side to the beach or maybe it's a campfire someplace or you're walking downstairs to a room in your home or home in which you grew up in. There's no right or wrong here just go with whatever feels best for you. Walking down that path are those steps to a safe place where you can kick back and feel safe to reflect and relax. And as you arrive in that place making yourself comfortable, maybe noticing the colors that you would see or the sound or the way it smells, getting a sense of the safety wrapping itself around you. And I'd like you now as you sit in that safe place in your mind to imagine yourself going
very quickly forward in time to you in the last moments of your life. And as you're in those last moments of your life, I don't know how old you picture yourself being or how it feels. But as you're in those last moments looking back on the life that you lived, ask yourself, what is my biggest free graph? What is the one thing I wish I had done but never did? What's my second biggest regret? What is something that I always told myself I was going to do but I didn't do or I didn't do it as much as I could? What time or place or connections did I waste? Become aware of the second thing that you regret the most. And I know this can be a little difficult but don't worry, we're going to make it positive, I promise.
And now the third biggest regret of your entire life, what is it? What comes to mind of what you wish that you could go back and change as you picture yourself there on your deathbed looking back what would you change? Now imagine yourself writing down those three things, see them in your mind in your own handwriting, those three great regrets and as you look at them there in front of you, allow yourself to come back to that safe place and as you sit there see them there in front of you. And see yourself with that paper there in front of you in the safe place and as you see those three regrets I know they may be difficult and painful to look at but now you get to make the plan, to make the change to rearrange, what would you do differently
to ensure that that regret is never going to happen? And list right there those three things that you would do differently. Does it mean going to the gym or going to yoga so that your body is strong? Does it mean every week making a play date with your kids on Saturdays and keeping it as a sacred commitment? These are just ideas you choose for you and when you come up out of this meditation today I encourage you to grab a piece of paper and don't write down those regrets, write down those three changes that will ensure they never happen. Please, that piece of paper someplace that you can see it every day and make that commitment to yourself, to those that you care for, to live those three solutions more and more powerfully than
ever before. As you prepare now to open your eyes and go ahead, open your eyes and and grab a piece of paper, write those three solutions down. If this supported you you'll find more at chelhamilton.com including my free rewire at guide for using anxiety and negative thoughts and the first audio for free from the upcoming deep sleep now of course. Thank you for listening and create an amazing day.
