On March 21st, here's the latest surrounding the NFL.
The Detroit Lions signed Cade Maze this off-season to start its center, but they still need solid
backup depth.
One late-round draft target making sense is Jager Burton from Kentucky, who's projected
to go between the 5th and 7th rounds.
One recent mock draft even sends Burton to the Lions in the 6th round, pairing him perfectly
behind Maze.
Burton carries a low medical concern level of just 3 out of 10, based on his college
track record.
He played all 12 games in 2025 and stayed mostly durable across four prior seasons.
He did miss a couple games over the last three years from a leg injury and something
unspecified, but nothing major flag scouts.
At 24 years old, heading into 2026, his extra experience turns that into a plus for a
day 3 pick, helping lock down the lion's interior line for the long haul.
