Okay, this is a football Friday. They football Friday, yeah. And we got Dylan Larkin news this morning for people just joining us. He released a statement basically saying, I'll be a training camp focused on the season ahead and the guys in the room, but he will talk to new leadership when it is in place. The Rebwings then released a statement. We don't know who said this. We looked forward to seeing Dylan on the rest of the teammates a little seizure for the start of training camp as we prepare for the upcoming season. Dylan is under contract as a member of the Detroit Rebwings any conversations regarding his future with the club will take place privately. There will be a new hockey operations leader when a new hockey operations leader is named. Rebwings will begin twice, six, 27 without a captain any further discussions regarding the topic will be made once a new hockey operations leadership is in place, which does make some sense when you think about it and people been responding to this. Mike says, glad we finally got some sort of acknowledgement here, but this is a total nothing burger from Dylan.

After all the drama I'd expect some mention the fan city, et cetera. Still no transparency about why the GM is taking so long. I think this was a sterile of a statement as you can release from both sides and I understand why. Okay, this is just putting it out there, getting something out there a week before training camp. They need to, they need to name a GM first before the real nitty gritty gets going. And once they name the GM and they get him up at a podium and he can talk about, and well, I've talked with Dylan and this and that and then once you get a training camp next week when all the cameras and microphones are there, then they'll talk. Scott writes in, that's it. It's an AI generated statement. AI is our GM, think about it. We'll have the only GM that can name all the free agents and less than one second and find the nearest Taco Bell from anywhere on earth. It's a high, that's a great quality. I don't doubt him and it is planned, and honestly. AI GM, first of all, AI is taking over everything, right? Secondly, they literally don't have a GM.

So someone had something had to make this statement and it is a sterile generic statement because they just had to put something, because we're getting so close to the camp here, they have to ignore the, it's obvious. The elephant in the room, we, Larkin's still here, we don't have a GM. In many ways, the Redweens were playing chess. We can't trade you, we don't have a GM. It's like, what do you want us to do, right? Like, sorry bro. Absolutely brilliant. See, it's that thinking meme. Yeah, they're really, they're a step ahead in this organization. Where is nearest Carmar Lapel in Panada? Yeah, right. Predictions for the Lions, well, Vars and the 11 o'clock hour, let's go to Matt and St. Clair Shores, you're right, 971. Hello, Matt. Hey boys, good to talk again. What's up? So I'm kind of between 12 and 13 wins. I think it's going to be a pretty good season. So in honor of Gator, I'm going to go 12, 4 and 1. I really, when you, when I saw the roster come out, I was surprised by how many linebackers we kept. So I think it's going to be a pretty zone heavy defensive scheme.

People forget Rodrigo was a safety at Oklahoma State before we drafted him as a linebacker. So I think there's going to be a lot more zone to protect the cornerbacks and the safeties, which we all know are going to be a struggle. I think the offensive line's going to gel, the left guard's going to be tough, but when you've got Penny Soul right next to him, I think that's going to be a tremendous help for whoever they plug in. And I think we're going to have a pretty good year. Hey boys. I mean, I think it's right there for the taking. I already tip my hand yesterday on what kind of season I think it's going to be. But Matt, that's an interesting take on the defense. And coming off the hearing Kelvin Shepherd about, they tried some stuff out, figured out what they're good at, what they don't like. And maybe if they come out, we'll discover that it is indeed heavy zone concepts defensively. All right, enjoy your end boys. Yep, you two, two, four, eight, five, three, nine, ninety seven, ninety seven, feedback coming into the car and Anderson inbox. Make sure you sign your text by the way, because at the end of the year, if you have a great prediction and elite prediction, you'll want to get credit for it, right?

Absolutely. Jamil and the truck says, I say the lines go 14 and three. I think the front seven will be dominant and the secondary will do just enough. The high powered offense will put up 40 and 50 burgers for the majority of the season. It's a lot of points. There's a lot of points. From Mike Vegas bound in a week, currently in Colorado. I wonder if this guy, was it Mike that texted us yesterday that was going to Vegas, tweeted us and wanted some advice? They have been. He tweeted back, because we gave him some advice of things to do. Yeah. Let me see if I can find it. Oh, he tweets us, because this lister says, hey, I'm going to Vegas, but the wife, what are some things I should do? Well, I'm in Vegas. We're like, I, is he ditching the wife right there? He tweeted back, thanks guys. And no, I'm not going to abandon the wife and go out and ask for it. Anyway, here's Mike, Vegas bound in a week from Colorado. I'm going to go out and the women say they go 12 and five.

I feel like the offense will be a top five offense. The defense will be better, even though I'm skeptical of the secondary. I think both can be true. I think it's fair to be skeptical of the secondary and I do think the defense will be better. I agree 100% when I statement. I'm not going to believe it until I see it with a secondary. And yet I fully trust the front seven of this defense. I think they're going to get after the quarterback. I think quarterbacks in this league against the Lions aren't going to be under duress for moment one. Tyler Shock, get ready, because you're going to be all types of inner hurry and on your back in this game on Sunday. Tom and Grand Rapids, you're on 97 one. Hello, Tom. Hey, good morning, fellas. Real quick. The wings are management leadership isn't playing chess. They're playing checkers. They've had way too much time with us. It's disappointing. They aren't more prepared. But quickly on the Lions, I'm going to go 13 games at the Lions. I'm going to tell you why. I think some of our best teams in Detroit, or the 13 wins. Some of our best teams in Detroit had to lose first

in order to learn how to win. If you think about great pistons teams, you're thinking about other teams that have been successful, they had to go through that. And I think this team has gone through some of that and is ready to take an X step. And from a defensive standpoint, I do think the secondary is a question, but I also think it's a question of pressuring the quarterback. That secondary will become appreciably better. If we can put consistent pressure on the quarterback and make them spin in that backfield and so forth, then that's going to help a time. And the way people talk about the Lions past defense, because let's face it, that's what this is really about. It's about concerns that they're going to give up 11 billion yards in passing. But if you look at the Lions were like 21st, 22nd and past defense last year, not great, but also not horrifically bad. Like it's... No, they had their moments where they were. Yeah. But it felt like it was situational when they were bad. Yeah. Like you can't let the Vikings beat you twice in the season with the quarterbacks that they threw out at you and yet they did.

You know, there was the moment they had Aaron Rodders all types of bottled up until he wasn't. And against the Steelers and that sucked. And it was those situations that third and got to get the stop and didn't get the stop. From an onname texture who didn't... No, that means you're signed your text. I'm going with a record of nine and eight. I don't think the offensive line is much better than last year. And the secondary is the worst in football. Well, the secondary being the worst in football didn't translate to them having the worst past defense in football last year. They were 21st and past defense. What are the worst this year than the were last year? Was it starting the season when I'd either one of those two? One of them will be back. The other one seems dicey. But you know, is the password going to be better? I hope so. Seems like it. Hopefully more consistent than that. But I think Hutchinson is, I said yesterday, defensive player of the year. Well, you and T are on the board at nine and eight. The Lions record this year be 12 and five. They will lose a couple of close games.

That's from Alex and Evan. Many, many games are close in the NFL. I remember early. Well, I say this because fair. Didn't come when I, when I got to got to the station. I was doing some shows with Terry Foster, the great Terry Foster. That was a God. They were so close and he would always look at me go, young Douglas. All games in the NFL are close. And he was more right than wrong. More right than wrong way more right than wrong when it comes to the NFL. But then you have a game like last night and 20 points operation. Like, yeah, that can happen as well. 248, 539, 97, 97 from an unnamed texture again. Oh, no, sorry, I read this one already. 13 and four. Because Gibbs will be the offensive player of the year and Sual will be protector of the year. See, baby, sitting. Who's that? Sual. Sual. How do you know when it's football season, I'm hyped up with my university post a video of the band marching and playing the school fights on.

In my case, it's the greatest fights on the victors. Then they cut in game highlights as well. I don't know why not a ton of those last week. How's it going to work tomorrow? Dude, I got highlights. I got to tell you, what do you mean? I guess I mean, there's like two highlights from last week that you can show to get the crowd. I suspect that crowd is going to be very fired up by showing a Hail Mary. Yeah. Yes. I am. I mean, did it storm the field? I did tell you that I said in just that when we were putting together inside Michigan football, which we kind of map out while the game is going on, I turned to Jansen and we sent a message to the producer. We're going to have to Jansen vision the flyover, which is where John takes the illustrator. And we've actually done it with non football plays before. Jansen, when he got a piece of big hunk of meat at the, uh, I think it was in the braska last year. And we had him circle the best part of the, it was like holding it like Fred Flintstone by the, by it was like a bone in.

I just, but anyway, yeah, we Jansen vision that we're going to Jansen vision the flyover the way that game was going. Chris from Farmington Hills says 12 and five lines. We have issues with the secondary. See them losing one to green Bay later in the season Buffalo Patriots and two, they should not lose. Other always are stinkers. Jason says nine and eight will start the season one and three secondary is hot garbage. We'll miss the playoffs. Uh, Lions girl 13 and four and reclaim the North Bears finish last in the division. That's from Mike at work. Get your picks in for the lion season. We got breaking Jalen Duran news next.
