Lions Sign Linebacker Damone Clark

The Detroit Lions just signed Linebacker Demone Clark as an unrestricted free agent to

bolster their Linebacker group.

This 24-year-old brings starting experience on defense and special teams plus some upside

for growth.

Financial details weren't shared, but it's a smart move for depth after losing key players

in free agency.

Clark was a fifth-round pig by the Dallas Cowboys back in 2022 out of LSU.

He overcame a spinal fusion surgery right before the draft and still played in 10 games

as a rookie, starting five.

He spent three seasons there before getting waived last November.

The Houston Texans claimed him off waivers, where he suited up for six games with limited

defensive snaps but heavy special teams work.

For his career, he's racked up 190 tackles, six tackles for loss, four pass breakups,

and two forced fumbles.

For the Lions, this adds competition in a Linebacker room that's still shaping up without

Alex Anzalone and Grant Steward.

Officials highlighted his time in different defensive schemes early on.

Clark's quick play diagnosis, run-stopping ability, and coverage skills could earn him
