A.B.
March Madness begins tomorrow, how we feeling, man.
That VCU versus UNC game is going to be exciting to watch, man.
I have a lot of my friends that went to VCU and they think they can pull off the upset.
Man, and it's too bad that there's no Caleb Wilson to watch, but today we are talking
all things prospects that we're going to see in the sense you double a tournament who
can separate themselves and show why they should be the top prospect for the Washington
Wizards no matter where they're picking, we're going to go through all of the guys really
top 10 on the Lockdown NBA, no ceilings, bigboard, we're going to go through some of these
guys, we're going to go through some of the biggest matchups.
I also want to talk about Darren Peterson because it's a great article right now out in
the athletic courtesy of CJ Moore who detailed a lot of the full body cramp stuff that Peterson
went through.
And then I also want to talk a little bit about Moore about point guards and Michael Brown.
He's out for the first round of this tournament, which may or may not impact some of this
talk.
So we'll talk about that today.
I want to start A.B. with some of the action that we see tomorrow.
One of the first games I saw just looking at the bracket first glance is Duke will face
off against Sianna tomorrow.
And I think everybody is pretty much penciled in Duke as a team that's going to make a pretty
deep run in this tournament.
I know you have a little bit of a trition at guard right there, but everybody's going to
be locked in on Cameron Booser because he's been a guy that's one at every level he's
played at.
And Booser's a guy.
He's got high basketball IQ.
He can pass really well.
He can operate with the basketball on his hands.
He can shoot from the outside.
He's not as big maybe as people would hope for a guy that projects to play the four in
the NBA in his position.
But if this is a guy that can really lead this Duke team to the promised land and continue
this run that they've been on the entire season, just playing through him, having him be
the leader of the troops, he's going to be one of the more interesting pieces to watch
throughout this tournament.
If he can take this Duke team all the way, it's going to be a pretty good look for him.
Not to say that I think he really has anything left to prove.
I think he's proven everything he needs to be a top three guy in this draft.
But a lot of people by stocking to this March Mads and stuff AB and I want to see where
you are at on that.
100% you should buy stock in March Mads because the lights are the brightest and you'll
see who's going to shine.
If Cameron Booser in this Duke team ends up winning the whole thing Ben, there should
be some consideration for him being the number one overall pick right now.
I think guys have the Bonza and Peterson over Booser and I'm one of those guys.
But what Cameron Booser offers you at such a young age with the high IQ.
The biggest knock on him.
It's funny Ben.
It's that he's not flashy.
But he does everything so well at such a young age in the size.
I'm not worried about it.
He's six nine.
The kid, if you pair him up with Alex Saur, that's going to help you out in the paint.
We're not hopefully not losing any more rebounding battles and we're just not going to be bullied
anymore.
He fits in in any NBA system and he's going to be exciting player to watch and I expect
him and Duke to go far in this tournament.
Looking honestly with Booser, I know Duke is stacked on paper technically and I guess
Brother Caden is going to have a pretty significant role in this tournament because the injury
to Foster as well.
Duke on paper I don't think is quite as good as a team like Arizona, a team like Houston
and they beat Michigan in the regular season but that'd be a tough ask for them to beat
them again because that game was super close.
If Duke can win it all though, I think it's going to be on the back of Cameron Booser
in this tournament.
So that'd be really interesting.
A.B.
Something that is possible and this can transition us next to talking about Darren Peterson.
If Duke can Kansas advance to this week's 16, those two would face off at Capital One
Arena.
I'll do whatever is in my power to try to be credentialed for that game.
If we get Darren Peterson against Cameron Booser in Washington DC at Capital One Arena
go, oh my goodness, I hope these dudes are getting used to playing on the floor that I
hope one of these guys will be playing on next year.
But I want to get into Darren Peterson A.B. because I think he is under the most pressure
in this NCAA tournament to perform and not to say that Darren Peterson is not going
to be a number three overall pick and I'm talking about the six six prospect out of Kansas
Darren Peterson.
He's played off the ball a lot this season despite when he came out of high school being
this guy that could dominate as a facilitator, could dominate getting to the rack using his
explosiveness.
He's dealt with a lot of the injury stuff and we're going to detail that in full in the
second segment talking about the article that came out in the athletic detail.
He's one of his full body cramps up but just on the basketball alone.
Peterson I think is under a little bit of pressure because in some of these games where
he's played in the limited minutes, I think he's actually looked a little better when
he's played limited minutes compared to playing in a full game.
And over the last three or so weeks, we haven't seen these issues where he's asked
to sub out of games.
I don't think he's asked to sub out of games since February 18.
So one calendar month from now it's been he's been playing in these full games and the
efficiency hasn't quite been as good for Darren Peterson.
I'm not sure why I'm not sure if it's like a thing where another injury could potentially
be bugging him.
But if this is a guy like Peterson who's had all these lights and noises around him throughout
the entirety of this season, you'd like to see him go out there and perform and see
if he can really elevate this Kansas team because they're number four seed taking on
Cal Baptist on Saturday or excuse me Friday.
I don't know if Kansas really has enough around him to make a deep run in this tournament,
but if Peterson can elevate them, can get them far in this tournament, they can knock
off a dupe in the sweet 16.
Then I'd be really, really interested in seeing like what type of leader Darren Peterson
is.
So I think he's under a lot of pressure to perform pretty well in this tournament just
because this is a dude that was supposed to dominate this sport day in, day out and
we didn't get to necessarily see that because some of the injury stuff.
So this could be a big tournament form a chance to separate himself and say, hey, like
I'm that guy.
I should be the number one pick.
So right now, Ben, before this tournament starts, do you think Darren Peterson should
be the number one overall pick?
I've gone back and forth on this.
I'm a big AJ guy, Ben.
So that's why I'm asking.
I think I've warmed up to AJ DeBonza as number one on my board right now.
No ceiling still has Darren Peterson as number one, but I don't know.
It really goes both ways for me and we're going to talk about AJ here in a second.
Darren is just such a fascinating story to me and with the stuff that's come out about
the full body cramps that we're going to detail in this podcast, it kind of made me
change the perception a little bit.
And I've always been kind of on his side throughout this whole thing.
I know he got labeled as a non competitive guy.
Somebody that didn't love basketball, didn't care about his teammates.
And I think there's a lot of people that probably owe him an apology based on the stuff
we're going to tell you about in the second segment.
So make sure you're still tuning a lockdown wizard to hear more about that.
I've been on his side because of the talent.
You see it when he faced off against AJ DeBonza this year.
The dude was the best player in the floor and he only played 18 minutes.
He took over that game, man.
He took over the game.
Like we know that he is a big game riser.
He can play super well in these big game type of diamonds.
So the likes aren't going to get any brighter than they are in his college career.
And this is the only chance he's going to get to make his mark at Kansas.
Because if they bow out of this tournament early, it's going to be a pretty polarizing
career, I'd say, as a college basketball.
I know it's such a short career to play one season, but for a guy that's getting paid
a ton of money, that had a massive honeymoon phase throughout the summer.
When they found out he was going to Kansas, it'd be a pretty underwhelming tenure.
If they bow out of this tournament early and you didn't really get what you felt like
you should have got out of them.
And for me, a guy like Darren Pearson, DP and DC, it just sounds amazing.
And the kid kind of reminds me of a mixture of Tyrese, Maxi, and I want to say a little
of Devon Booker, the way he can score the ball and just take over games.
And that's just something that we desperately need here.
As much as I love Alex, who's going to be a really good center for years to come, Keishan
on the wing, Bilal is coming along.
Trade Johnson's a shooter.
If you get a guy in DP alongside Trey Young, I mean, the way like you mentioned that Pearson
can play off ball, Trey Young will be able to find the trends done that in limited minutes
here in DC so far.
It would be exciting.
And it would make the guard room interesting, Ben, because you have a room of Darren
Pearson, Trey Young, Trey Johnson, Bob Carrington, there's going to be so many young guys on this
team and you're going to have to fight for those minutes and how that rotation would look
like.
We'll just have to see post draft, but it's just amazing to think about that's hopefully
and all goes right with the draft lottery that these guys could be a Washington wizard.
It can generally be franchise altering players.
That's exactly what you're looking for.
Can you find this guy in this NCAA tournament?
Can you see somebody that elevates the team the way they need to?
One guy that I think really is going to be looked at as a guy that needs to elevate
his team in this tournament is AJ DeBonza.
Let's break early here.
I want to come back and talk about AJ DeBonza, then I'll get you that Darren Peterson
cramp stuff.
I'll pay that off when we come back.

AJ DeBonza.
I cannot wait to watch him in this tournament.
We saw a crazy game last night where Texas wins on the last second shot in that playing
game first four to get a chance to take on BYU.
AJ DeBonza, 6 foot 9, he's a literal athletic freak, he can do it all in the basketball
court.
We haven't got to see a lot of him defensively.
I think that's been one of the more underwhelming parts of his game so far.
But DeBonza is a guy that has a dog mentality.
He has the mentality that the Washington Wizards won.
I saw a quote from him today on ball his life.
He said, I want to go number one in this draft so bad.
I want to be the first pick.
I've been the number one pick since I was in eighth grade.
That's not changing now.
This is a dude that wants it.
And there's something to be said about a guy that really wants to be the number one
overall pick.
And I think there was a couple of drafts.
I can't remember which draft that was where Jabari Smith or whoever it was in that draft
ended up going two or three.
It kind of seemed like he didn't want to go number one overall.
Not everybody wants the pressure that comes with that.
I think DeBonza is a guy that likes to have the pressure.
He likes to have the attention on him.
And I think that's important because if you're the number one overall pick and you come
to the Washington Wizards, there's going to be expectations.
You become this franchise cornerstone piece.
You're going to have to be a guy that produces and produces pretty early in your career.
And that's why this type of tournament, I'm really looking to see if DeBonza can elevate
this BYU team.
They haven't been great.
They haven't been amazing.
They've been good because of DeBonza, but will they be able to get through a couple rounds
of this tournament?
Now, number 11, Texas, I don't think it's going to be an easy out for them.
That game will tip off tomorrow at 7.25 pm Eastern time.
Looking forward to watching that, seeing if AJ can elevate that team.
And then even if you win that one, you're likely taking on number three Gonzaga, just a team
that is always dominant in March, a team that always finds its way into those elite eight
final four conversations.
Hey, DeBonza can prove to me that he can put a team on his back that can really elevate
a franchise, elevate a program with his offensive game and his unique talents that have just
been exploding over the past couple of months.
That will do wonders, I think, for his draft stock.
And if you're a Washington Wizards fan watching this game, you've got to get siced seeing
AJ DeBonza play out there and that's during the Wizards game against the pistons tomorrow.
So if some of you were out there, kind of like doing a little dual screen thing, you're
like, oh, we'll Riley getting buckets again.
Okay, that's, that's not so pro.
But AJ, look at AJ.
He's got 40 right here.
Totally turned the game.
Then you're going to go, all right, I'm a little bit, I'm a little bit more locked into
that.
But now I'm just, I'm just kidding.
You should definitely watch the Wizards game tomorrow.
I was going to say, but as much as I love the sound of DP and DC, AJ and DC just sounds
as sweet, bro.
If you can find a guy with his talent and land him here in Washington, just a, I think
a potential superstar, the way he can take over games.
And like you mentioned, wants to be in the spotlight.
That's what we need because we are desperately craving a star here, Ben.
I'm talking blue chip.
I love all stars, but superstar.
There are very limited superstars in the league today.
And I think AJ can be that guy considering the fact that there was no question about his
ability to play and rightfully so in their situation, it's a very serious thing.
So with AJ, he says to himself that he wants all the smoke and I'm excited for it because
with the franchise recently for the Washington Wizards, that needs a guy that can take him
to the Eastern Converse finals.
That's the bare minimum right now.
I think AJ can be that guy.
And with the young talent that you have around him, I'm going to look at the mentors
and tray young and we don't know 80s future here in DC, but right now he's on this roster.
With the young wings and just young players you have, this is such a good situation for
any young guy, Ben, if you're looking at it.
If you compare our situation right now to Sacramento to a, maybe you can bring him Indiana
because they have Tyrie's caliber and they just wanted to find out, I understand that.
But we have so many young pieces on this roster that if you bring another young guy in
here, a caliber like AJ de Bonza, they're going to fit right in.
I think he's a guy you can't miss with.
If you bring him and put him in the fold here, I think he's going to succeed no matter
what the situation is.
I think this guy could be a game changing type of player and I've seen him put that on
full display.
And I just remember the performance early in the season they're playing Clemson.
It's still early on in his college basketball career.
And I think he's grown a lot as a player over the course of the season.
He outscored Clemson in the entirety of the second half of the game.
And I think it was at Madison Square Garden if I'm not mistaken in that game.
So that shows you that he has the ability to take over a basketball game that he can shine
when the lights of the brightest.
Can he do it here in March?
Like this, this two doesn't have anything left to prove to me.
I'd say in terms of being a guy, I think that should go one or two in this draft.
If I'm being honest with you, I think that highly the guy.
And as a wizard's fan, it's crazy because we talk about our young athletic wing so often
on this channel.
Will Riley, who's been amazing.
I think you scored the second most points amongst rookies in the last month and a half.
That's an incredible stat that I saw.
They just buy in Conkin, Iple who might actually win rookie of the year at this point.
And then you see the rise of Kishon, George is here.
You see, blah, cool, a ball.
He's really starting to put together the game.
But AJ de Bonza, like, this is how the NBA draft works.
If you get a chance to draft, what is deemed like potentially one of these generational type of players,
a cornerstone piece, you've got to take the best player available and you figure it out from there.
Like if Darren Peterson is that guy, if the front office values Darren Peterson, is that type of guy or
a camera, boosters that type of guy, then you draft that player and you figure everything out from there.
Because you need this type of dude on your roster.
If you want to have any shot at legitimately winning anything, being a real contender,
you need to have that level of player, a guy that can morph into a top 10 player in the league.
That is the recipe you need to win a championship in this league.
So AJ, can you do it in March?
It's going to be really fun to watch.
I can't wait to see him.
What about his game?
Do you like the most AB in terms of like translating to the NBA?
What gets you most excited about watching him?
I think just his ability to be at a high three level score, Ben.
And like you mentioned defensively, I just the six nine size, he can probably mow into a really good defender.
But what he offers you offensively is kind of like a mixture of a Paul George slash Tracy McGrady slash SGA.
I mean, I'm throwing up so many stars out there.
But the kid is just born with his ability to go out there and take over games and elite and explosive athlete.
It does make me wonder though, Ben, as much as I'm hyping him up right now, how would this wing group?
A stacked wing group already look like with AJ because you have Kishon, you have will, you have the law.
Can't what more is going to come back out there?
Don't forget about my boy JC, Ben.
Like it's going to be proud.
It's going to be even more crowded.
I know.
But at this point, I'm just like, if you have an opportunity to draft him, I'm drafting him right away.
And we'll figure it out from there.
We'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
But like, let's, let's get to the bridge first.
Yeah, let's get to the bridge.
And we're saying all this guys, like we're talking about Darren Pierce and Cameron Booster, AJ.
And we're probably, God forbid, we get the six pick again.
Like I'm going to get my heart broken for the last time, man.
Look, but there's, there are a lot of guys that we're going to watch in this tournament that might fit the mold of those type of picks that we're going to get to see on display.
If you're just looking at the locked on NBA, no ceilings, big board.
Be sure to check out all the work on their sub stack.
Be sure to check out locked on NBA draft with no ceilings.
It's really the best draft coverage you can find.
I can't wait to get Nathan Groobal back on here.
Tyler Walker will get one of those guys back on here after the tournament.
See if he thinks anybody improved their stock significantly.
So Darren Peterson number one, Cam Booster's number two on their board over AJ DeBonza right now.
DeBonza 6, 9, 2, 10 is a 19 year old.
Every 24.9 points per game 6.8 rebounds 3.7 assists as well.
Shooting 53%, 37% from three.
Man, it's going to be crazy that we just have no grasp on who is going to go number one at this point because a lot of people still mock Peterson as number one.
But it's going to be real concerns with this medical stuff.
It potentially is a thing.
It really potentially could be a thing.
And even after this stuff that comes out today, I'm going to finally pay off the tease and get to this article by CJ Moore.
I recommend everybody check it out.
It's free and available to everybody on the athletic right now.
Darren Peterson, this whole like complex drama that we've seen throughout the entirety of his freshman season has been crazy.
But there's one thing that stuck out is in September.
He experienced real full body cramps, which he described as a 45 minutes of pain that he had never experienced before never felt anything like it's so bad.
That it sent him to the hospital where he received two IV bags of fluid and was left wondering what had just happened to him.
He called it a traumatic experience.
It created this like mental block essentially.
And you saw some of these situations where he was trying to fight it and he was out there asking to be subbed out of a game.
And it's because it stems back to this mental block thing he's had.
So if people have concerns over something like that, I don't know how deep or like what the fix is for something like that.
Is it something that can be healed of time?
Does he need a therapy to go through because like this has become a physical thing that turned into a mental thing for the guy.
He said as much as I tried to fight it and tell myself I was good, I kind of couldn't.
The mind is the joystick.
My dad tells me you can't beat your mind.
So that is really really interesting because it got to the point where he had an injury that was so scary because I couldn't even imagine.
I've never had a full body cramp.
I've had a really bad Charlie horse that made me feel like it makes you feel like you want to like end it all sometimes.
It's so bad.
You're just like laying there and bed like oh my god.
This is the worst pain I've ever been.
You can imagine your full body feeling that so I can't imagine what Peterson was feeling in that moment.
In just in your mind to say like what if it happens to me again?
What if it happens to me with everybody in attendance?
Because I believe this happened at the first week of practice a week after they went through this like brutal conditioning stuff that they were doing at Kansas.
Maybe he's worried like if you have a full body cramp on the court with everybody there everybody seeing and you have to get
carted away in an ambulance and given multiple IVs.
I don't know if that's part of the experience but traumatic was the word he used to describe it and it sounds like on paper.
It is so for all the people that accused him of hating basketball and you know not wanting to play or something like that.
Like this stuff that's detailed in this story from the athletic him breaking his silence.
Unless it's him doing some type of damage control and making things up which I really doubt if we're being honest.
A lot of these people owe an apology to Darren Peterson for the things they said about including Stephen A Smith.
Stephen A trashed him dude.
Yeah, he did.
He definitely did.
I think it would just be an insane story Ben.
If somehow despite all this adversity in him breaking the silence that he goes out there and potentially wins the whole tournament.
It takes over.
I mean, how insane would that be if that happens or even win the tournament if he makes it to the final four and goes deep into this tournament.
He's the unanimously number one overall pick despite what AJ does and how much I love AJ and despite how consistent and elite Kevin Boozra has been.
Darren Peterson even with the concerns of him potentially not liking basketball which again is in my eyes.
And like you mentioned, it's crazy to even think about because the kid is a flat out hooper.
Even during those times, he was the number one overall pick.
And if he goes out there and competes on the highest level in the world, he's undisputably that guy.
I think so.
I really, I really do think so.
And there's another thing I wanted to dispub put as an anecdote here from this athletic article before we put a cap on it here.
The stops and starts definitely impacted him.
Bill Self has head coach of Kansas told the athletic conditioning rhythm.
Team rhythm a lot of things.
I think it did impact him differently.
If you can imagine going in every game believing that this is going to be in the game that your body feels right,
it just never happened for the guy.
I don't know what it's going to take for him to get fully healthy to fully get his mind right.
But that's why these pre draft evaluations are really important.
You got to have trust in the front office in Washington or whatever it may be to really do a proper pre draft evaluation.
Check out his medicals and make sure everything is good.
Make sure this guy can withstand in 82 game season.
Make sure he can mentally take the capacity that comes with being a first overall pick,
having a lot of pressure on you in DC to be a guy that can change the franchise.
There's going to be a lot of that stuff going forward.
But can't wait to see March Madness.
And I can't wait to see the point guard talent Kingston Flemmings,
Derrius Acuff, Michael Brown.
We're not going to see Brown in the first round.
That's something we'll talk about.
But man, this point guard talent.
If the Washington Wizards do end up falling, there's going to be a lot of it on display.
Tell you about that when we come back.

Man, AB, I'm going to just put it out there right now before the tournament starts.
I have Houston winning this whole thing in Kingston Flemmings is a massive reason why guard play is massive in the month of March in the Wizards.
Yeah, you have tried young for now, but we don't know what that's going to look like in terms of long term project.
If you fall most boards, including the locked on no ceilings board, have Kingston Flemmings as the fifth best prospect.
If you fall to five in this draft, I'd be ecstatic to get a player like Kingston Flemmings because I think he fits perfectly for what this organization is trying to do.
He's fast, he's twitchy, he beats his defender consistently off the dribble.
That's kind of the bold what you're looking for and I love the size that he provides because this dude can defend.
This dude can play great defense and that's why I love Houston so much.
If you have a guard that can score the way he can because he put up over 40 points multiple times this season and he can defend.
Defense is what wins championships and you'd love to see a guy that can come into this DC situation and provides stability, provide defense at the point guard position.
I love Kingston Flemmings. There's a reason he is my number one guard prospect right now.
He's definitely the guy I've watched the most out of all these guys, but Houston, a team that I think a lot of people are expecting to make a massive run in this tournament probably all the way to the final four of the elite eight.
It's Houston, man. Kelvin Samson, the number speaks for himself. You watch him last year. They've just come up short in the big game a couple of times from the final four a couple of times.
I feel like this is the year that they get over the hump and I think Kingston Flemmings is going to be the reason why.
Do you think there's a possibility Ben that Houston wins the whole thing like you mentioned, Kingston Flemming is a big part of it and he could slip into that four spot in the draft and take over Caleb Wilson spot?
I find it hard to believe he takes over Wilson spot and I guess we didn't really get to talk about Caleb Wilson in this.
Yeah, he's out with an injury to his hand.
Wilson's unbelievable. He's so athletic. He has so much upside. I just think, I just see it very unlikely that the team would pass on a guy like that.
They do literally donks everything. Caleb Wilson is so, so good. I would love him so much here in DC. Adam Epstein, who is a show host for 910 The Fan in Richmond,
previously won a 6-7 in the fan. He actually interviewed Caleb Wilson and they asked his teammates and they asked him about potentially playing a DC.
He said, yeah, it's a great city. I'd love to be there.
I'd like to hear that. Take that for what it's worth. But some of the other point guard talent that you're going to see available.
Darius A. Cuff is who everybody is looking at. There are people out there right now saying AB that this is the best guard that John Calipari ever coach.
Are they forgetting about somebody? Are they forgetting about someone?
I think they are. I mean, they might, they might be forgetting about Patrick Perkins. They said that too, right?
Yeah. There's this sort of point guard. I think he played for the Wizards. I think he might have just been the best guard.
6-4 out of Kentucky.
Yeah, 6-4 out of Kentucky. Number two, John wall. Oh, John wall. Oh, yeah, John wall. Oh, my damn. There's a lot of insane guards though that have played for John Calipari.
So for him to even get this type of recognition, I think it's testament to how good he's been offensively.
But what is he going to bring to you defensively? We know he's a little bit undersized right now.
And that's been the big concern that we've seen for people is like, what does the long term outlook look like for this kind of guy?
Because if you draft him, if you're Washington, he kind of this is your pseudo-tray young replacement.
I guess at that point, because look, look at the measurements. He stacks up at 6-3-1-90.
I think he looks a little bit smaller, maybe more around 6-2 because I think they typically like to bump up your height a little bit on these college websites.
But, you know, try a young as a guy that is unbelievably talented offensively.
And I can't wait to see what he does for the Wizards next year.
But you're not going to get a lot out of him defensively. And I think that's kind of been the rap on egg cuff.
But this dude's averaging 22 points per game. He dominated in the SEC tournament this last week.
And he has looked like one of the best guards in the entire country over the last month or so.
So it's tough to deny why he's been so high on people's boards.
But I don't know if somebody would take a swing on him as high as 5 or 6 because of the limitations that you have with his height.
But I'm interested. If he can elevate, if he can really take this Arkansas team to another level in this tournament, help them go to Deep Run, then I don't know.
Maybe that would sway my opinion a little bit of him, but he is so unbelievably talented offensively.
This draft is insane because legitimately, as Lanelle said, you have 8 to 10 guys that could probably change a franchise in this draft.
It's just a matter of like, which guys are more projects, which guys are more NBA ready? Like Keaton-Wogler to me.
He seems more like a project. Number seven overall prospects, according to no ceilings right now out of ill in the way 6-6-180.
He seems like more of a project kind of guy, but I know he projects really high for a reason. He's going to be a good player.
Just going back to A-Cuff, man. I saw some talks on social media that if he was 6-5-6-6, there was an argument about him being the potential number one overall pick, which is just insane to think about.
I mean, yeah. I think that's legitimate because you would see the lack of limitation that he has defensively right now at his size.
Imagine how much more dominant he would be as a finisher, a guy that could drive and punch on people's heads. Anthony Edwards, ask.
Something like that. I mean, imagine Anthony Edwards without the jumper or argument with the jumper.
Because remember, Anthony Edwards just didn't have the jumper developed when he was in college and he still went number one in that draft.
And now Anthony Edwards, the guy that shoots really well from the outside, guys can develop that part of their game.
So if a guy can't shoot that great in college, but they have like decent mechanics and they look like they have the ability to put it together or maybe they work with the right shooting coach, maybe you see something like that with the situation.
But there's so much talent in this draft and all of these dudes are playing in March Madness and like all the dudes that are in the top 8 to 10, maybe outside of Caleb Wilson, I guess because he's not playing, are pretty high seeds in this tournament.
So there's going to be realistic expectations that these guys win a ton and you see them playing deep into the tournament.
I'm bummed that we're not going to see Michael Brown in the first round. He's out with the back injury that kept him out at the end of the ACC tournament.
And would have been nice to see him because I know there's a lot of people that are super high on him and his ability to think he could be the fifth pick in this draft.
Yeah, it was a little upsetting to see that he won't be in the play in the first round.
Michael Brown was definitely a guy that I was looking forward to to watch going into this college season.
Nate and Matt's also another wing out of Tennessee.
So many guys been and I generally wonder if we'll ever see another load of draft class like this anytime soon because going from 2024,
a draft class labeled week to one of the greatest draft class that we have in a while.
It's just amazing to see and it's also one thing to point it out.
But also one thing to realize as a wizards fan is that this is the last time we'll be in a situation benefit for at least five to six years.
We're hoping because you're going to go out there next year and you're going to compete with the young guys that you have alongside trade young and AD.
And there's just no excuses to justify taking.
Absolutely not. You got to see significant strides next year and hopefully this is the last time you have to do this.
And who knows how it's going to even work in the NBA after they crack down on all the tanking and stuff.
Man, the Indiana Pacers, I think have lost 15 games in a row.
We're probably on a fast track to losing 16 for the fourth time or something like that.
And this rebuild it's insane to think about how much wizards fans and all of us have been through.
But promise if you're still listening right now you listen to this.
Hopefully next year this wall become more worth at this vision will make a lot more sense.
Because at the end of the day like you and I both have a lot of belief that this rebuild can really work out.
And this draft is going to be an important reason why if you can get the right guy in this draft things can come together.
And I know people will come into comments and sit act like we say this as if we're on the payroll for the team.
I wish I was on the payroll for the team.
We've been making we've been swimming in coin for the week.
No, I just from the bottom of my heart like that's what I believe I begged for this type of rebuild for a long time as a wizards fan.
It's a painful process, but this is the type of stuff we felt like we had to go through a B U and I.
We just understood that we were going nowhere fast for so many years in this wizards organization.
So you got to see through it.
Got to see through it my boy.
Yeah, I mean guys look at it.
I'm not comparing the two franchises.
Although there's a lot of similarities, but the thunder or one of the worst teams in the NBA not too long ago.
And now they are a franchise with so much draft capital.
It takes some time.
You can't complain as a wizards fan of waiting for a rebuild, but then when you're in the middle of the rebuild.
It's like, oh, I'm not having fun while we're doing this.
Just be patient.
Just got to be patient.
A.B. before we get out of here, who do you think is winning at all in March madness?
I'm going with the Blue Devils, man.
I think Cameron Booser and that squad, Isaiah Evans.
I just feel like after being Michigan that they are the team that teams are going to try and go out there and dethrone.
But I love the Blue Devils the way they play basketball.
I think Cameron Booser is going to make a case for him in the more overall pick.
I think it's a good pick.
I'd completely understand why people would take Duke to win this whole thing.
They've been one of the best teams in basketball for a reason.
And Cameron Booser might just be the guy that is the complete difference in this whole tournament.
That'll do it for today's episode of Lockdown Wars.
Let us know in the comments who you are most looking forward to watching.
Who you got winning at all as well.
We want to hear from all of your takes here.
March madness.
It's going to be so much fun watching all this stuff.
It kicks off tomorrow.
I guess we have the first four stuff going on.
Mind the Ohio is about to win.
But anyways, it doesn't matter DC Family, enjoy March madness.
