Off the ball.
GAA.
I need fun.
It has meaning to it because just if we were underlined.
So these games mean something okay, the rest of it may be not,
and it may be was time to try out what this talk of.
And we want to perform as the result is irrelevant to us.
I think it's nonsense.

Off the ball.
Daily.
Welcome along folks to another episode of League of R late night here on off the ball.
I'm delighted to say that I'm joined by my regular co-host Shane Keegan.
Shane Horia.
Not too bad.
Know what I mean yourself.
Very, very good.
I'm just coming out of Tyler Stadium here sitting in the car watching all the fans go home.
So if you see me, don't be afraid to give away.
Run your true tonight's score is very quickly folks for anyone who somehow missed out.
So we've ended up dairy city to draw harder to up in dairy.
I see we have a few requests in already for dairy.
So we'll get to you.
Most definitely true to even and dairy thrown away.
The two go lead them from what I hear from what I saw a little bit of this game on League of R and TV.
Maybe James McLean left under half.
We'll hear thoughts dairy from dairy fans as the night progresses.
Waterford Nill.
St. Patrick's Atlantic to huge pressure now on John daily.
And a big tuna win four packs in Waterford.
Which leaves them just one point off the top of the table.
And the reason why it leaves them one point off the top of the table is because
the Indians were held at home, too, don't talk.
And go from Bania Ruby in the second half to level that one up.
And then the game that I was out here in Tyler Stadium.
Finished Shama Grovers to go away.
You know, I did Nill Shane Muck and were you watching from home?
Yeah, I was watching the League game already Ben.
So I see I see Anthony has requested to speak there.
Two great requests we have in there at the moment.
Because I'm fine to know what Markey made of events up in the brandy well.
And to be interested to get Anthony's reflections on again.
That I saw all of myself.
So yeah, absolutely some plenty of interest in talking point again tonight.
That's for sure.
Absolutely.
And that is exactly where I wanted to start.
As soon as I clicked up this space tonight,
I saw Mary.
He has had his request in about two seconds after I went live.
And that is exactly who I was looking for.
And I saw that result in Derry's.
We're going to hard-miredy.
And now Shane, first of all, I don't know if you caught any of this.
But I believe James McLean played a little bit of a left-sender half-left back roll,
which look, I know we have discussions about how Ternel Lynch maybe needs to figure out how to get him in.
Outside of that central midfield roll.
But I don't think you were expecting maybe even to play left-sender half.
Were you?
It's not the wildest thing to me.
I think I spoke about it previously that I did think that was somewhere that
they might actually try him to be honest with you.
All I've seen so far is the Warren Davis goal.
And yeah, he's definitely in a defensive left position for that.
As you say, 100 to left-back or left-sender half-roll.
I'm not too sure.
But he certainly hasn't covered himself in glory on it.
And anyway, one way or another.
Shane, before we move on to Waterford, as he told me as requested,
I was going to get Anthony in, but I can't see where he's gone.
I'd love to get a couple of both perspective on the game tonight.
Some actual perspective.
Maybe not what I asked for the other week when we got slightly humbused.
But if you give your toss on that game for a quick second before we move on to Waterford,
like going into that game, I don't want to say quietly,
confidence, because I'm going at that from a completely neutral perspective.
But if I was the Dundalk fan, I would have been probably quietly confident
going into it from what I've seen from the last couple of weeks.
And I mean, six on answer goals over the last Friday, Monday, as well,
would have filled them up.
No end.
How do we play out?
Yeah, look, if you look at this weekend's fixtures,
you've got it's one of those rare weekends where you've got the supposed top five
all-playing individually against the supposed bottom five.
So you look at the chances of the five favorites there.
And I think we all thought Raw, Resudwin, Pat Sidwin.
I think we were a little bit unsure of how dairy
would go, given the way things are.
And then you're looking at the balls one and you're saying,
OK, they should win.
But Dundalk have looked so good, like six points from six last weekend.
They've been so impressive all along that you're looking and going,
you know, you have to give them a chance as well, and all his balls are playing.
And that's how we played out.
Like balls start to very strong.
People are probably seeing the Patrick Hakey goal by now.
I mean, there's a man who is absolutely on fire.
And we're well on top early on.
Well, my dad, Dundalk, grow into this game.
They really, really did.
I think it's young Sean Spade,
if I'm pronouncing his name correctly,
comes on and does absolutely brilliantly for the equalizer.
Keep up the, the veteran,
say, off the column, that at this stage with a big dieg over Jordan Flores's head.
And Spade, basically, Jordan stops because he thinks the ball is going over.
Play, I think, and Spade does absolutely brilliantly to keep it alive
and get it into the six-yard box.
Now, it was big appeals from the keeper that he was fouled
because a Ruby jumps right up over him and heads it in on practically undergolling.
I was delighted that a foul wasn't given,
because let's be honest, goalkeepers get these soft frees far, far, far too easily,
more often than not.
And I was waiting for the ref to blow to his,
even though I didn't think he should.
And he didn't fair play it to him.
And he let the goal stand.
Kinner will be for Ruby.
No, I have seen.
He has still been given the barge in mind at a match.
The Kinner for Ruby is he should score his second within minutes.
Of scoring his first.
He has an absolute setter.
That was one of those ones where you can say the keepers don't brilliantly,
but really the keepers shouldn't have been given a chance.
And Dundock really should have gone from one to the down to two,
one up in the space of certainly less than five minutes.
And it would have been really interesting to see what way balls responded from there.
They had a couple of kind of half-decent chances as the rest of the half went on,
but nothing major.
And look, a draw was absolutely a fair result.
And the least that Dundock could expect from it,
which is a serious thing to be able to say about the stage of the season.
Yeah, I've had the pleasure of seeing Dundock.
I think three times down in the opening seven or eight weeks of the season.
I'm Baymya Ruby every time I've seen him.
It's been absolutely superb.
And I heard it was more the same.
And my phone was hopping anyway.
And the press box here in Tallah just loading his performance.
And I know I'm tired.
Did a little breakdown of it at half time as well.
So I'm really looking forward to seeing how we got on there.
We have Toby on the line from Waterford FC.
And Toby, I hate to ask probably the most cliched question in the book.
But really, where do Waterford go from here?
Another poor result at home to nail against an albeit informed path sides.
But another loss again.
The pressure just heaps up on John Deerey.
Yeah, yeah, unfortunately, the pressure is really there.
Unfortunately,
so that's just right now.
It's not looking great for John Deerey to be fair.
I think the next few weeks, I'd say I can see you get the boot to be answered.
I could receive you get the boot tonight.
You think it could be as soon as tonight.
George and boy what happened there after the game?
Yeah, yeah.
What happened after the game just for those of us who didn't get a chance to see it?
Basically, he went over to the other fads that clapped him off.
At the beginning, he went over towards he completely ignored us.
He completely did not answer so long.
Oh, well, I didn't know that a lot of love to see John Deerey formally
of Pat Shores.
He's actually the co-opening manager of Pat, wasn't he?
Yeah, that's right, that's right.
2023, yeah.
Well, I didn't know that at all.
And look, you'd worry for Deerey's future from a human human perspective based on the owners.
I know that there tends to be a bit of an EFL strategy to that sort of thing,
where if there's a little time going right, the manager could be out to the door very, very quickly.
The game tonight, I don't know how it went down.
I saw the young goal.
I didn't get a chance to see the Luke Turner goal, but the young goal, I mean, I hate to say,
but it really is a comic of finished away.
It goes in and the keeper is kind of scrambling across.
How did the game play out as a whole?
I talked to RC.
We looked good at toys like.
It's just our pastor was like a pilot in a way, but I thought in some parts of the game,
we were actually good, but RC parts did look like they were even went out of second gear.
If they went out of second gear, I'd say they would have better explain what's next now.
That's a pretty pessimist.
Yeah, I was looking, obviously,
Burns wasn't involved tonight.
I don't know whether he's fully theater or whether he just hasn't been around the place.
Do you think, can he make much of a difference?
What, what, you know, to go back to your original question, what, what can help pound this season
around? Surely he don't just write it off from Europe.
Maybe, like, maybe more investment, the summer, the summer, maybe.
I hardly don't know.
I can't see anything that's totally around right now, as I'm now.
I could be robbed, but just right now, I can't see a way back.
John Mann was back in tonight.
Was he that?
I mean, that has to have been a bit of a bit of help.
It was a little bit of help.
It was a little bit, but the keeper kept us in a dark heart.
Anyway, even though, despite it, it's ever a pretty goal.
Yeah.
Yeah, look, look at that.
The second one, Ben, I don't know if you have seen it yet.
No, I haven't had a chance.
Inkina is not going to be happy.
So he's not, I'm sure he won't mind when they're wrapping up the result,
but he does brilliantly.
He does absolutely brilliantly inside the 18-year box to make room for himself.
Ben's a fantastic strike is, literally, is going around the keeper.
He's heading into the top right hand corner before his teammate decides.
I just make sure it definitely goes over the line and sticks his head on it.
But a typical number nine, now I'd say,
Kina will be having worms in him tomorrow.
I can imagine, and can you imagine if it was the other way around?
And so on, that sounds exactly like what a number nine will be doing.
After back post, Mike and Troy, he gets on the end of the ball.
Let's go on in.
It's pretty serious.
It's Luke Turner is the one who manages the nick in there ahead of him.
Toby, again, I really had a chance to get a look at that game at all,
because I was here in Tala.
Did Waterford say line up in the back three, or had it changed around?
I think they laid back a back tree, I think.
I've actually obviously not sure.
I think it was like a back tree, I think.
Yeah, you just wonder, like, fitting in.
Pa Jam and Tommy Lonergan, Conan Newn, and I know you've had this conversation a lot
of the last couple of weeks, but it was really difficult to fit them all in their best positions
and information that is still defensively solid, which, I mean, has to be the number one
here for Waterford, going forward to go away and one day night and score three goals,
a way to go away and knock them out with anything.
Really says how kind of lacrosse they are at the back.
As you said, you know, you said you can't see John Daly last and beyond the next,
as you said, beyond tonight, what do Waterford do then?
What type of manager or what type of system would you be looking forward to going forward?
I'll be kind of looking at maybe like a local ad, like, you know what I mean?
Like a local ad from Waterford.
If you look at the dog, they pointed killed off obviously last season.
He got to them up for the first mission, and that look was doing the department vision.
He knows that club inside out and everything.
Yeah, it's a good show.
It's hard to find often a man who knows the club like, well, I mean,
when you think of current managers, Alan Reynolds is the is the local man.
He brings mine, but I can't imagine he'd be running away from his duties up
of him. He is the way they're going at the moment.
Shane, where would you go from there, Waterford?
If John Daly is, look, I don't want to speak ill on a man when he's in the job, but
how does he go about turning that around?
Yeah, he is. He's under pressure. There's no doubt.
Look, like I said, I think he needs to get Kevin Long into that team as quickly as he possibly can.
As we said last weekend, what was it, nine goals in four?
There is. They can see that I think, so I think, I think the, I think an addition of somebody
with Kevin Long's experience would be a massive, massive help.
Now, it still doesn't solve the problem of the other end in terms of scoring.
And of course, obviously, the finally found the scoring boots on Monday night,
but it's still wasn't enough, but you would think like we've spoken before.
The fact that Tommy Danigan and Paragamon, okay, there might be absolutely banging in goals,
but there are two, there are two players that would make it into the start lineup.
We keep speaking about the display of the top five, bottom five,
those two would start for any of the top five, in my opinion, more often than not.
So they've got the goals there. They just need to make themselves more defensively solid,
and you've touched on it there. It's coming up with a system that's going to work for them.
What is the system that gives them the best chance?
Like, they just need to make games as tight as they possibly can, where they become, you know,
you know, might be only a chance at the one decent chance for, for either team in the game.
And if they can do that sort of thing, and if their chances are fallen to Podge,
or fallen to Tommy Danigan, well then, you know, they have the quality there to be able to do it.
So I look, they're in a very, you know, a precocious position at the moment.
That's for sure. The manager is, listen, I've been there. I've been there where you're,
you're basically just hoping that you're looking in the other direction.
If your chairman's coming to walk into RJ, you know, you just don't want to be called
for a conversation because you know what that conversation is, is going to be more likely.
And, you know, I think back to my time, Ken, with Woodward, could I argue, sorry,
with Godwin, could I argue that, that I didn't deserve the sack? Probably not yet.
Had they still got massive confidence that I could have turned it around if I was left there?
Yes, I absolutely had. And that's exactly where, where daily will be at the moment. He'll be kind of
just, just praying that to give, give me that little bit longer, give me a little bit longer.
Let me get long into the team. Let me try and adjust one or two things. He'll still back
himself to be able to turn it around. It's just the case of how patient the, the, the club are willing
to be with him now. Craving the coffee flavor you love. But without the caffeine,

Yeah, looking and hopefully on a human's human level, he does get that time to try and turn around.
Obviously, he said past fans that he went over and clapped know how good he can be
when he brought them an FAI code in 2023. And I know, look, it's it's tough for him as well. He's
down a wall for the family, back home in Scotland where he lives, where his kids are
in school and everything. So on a human's human level, you hope that he has a chance to turn around.
Toby, any final thoughts before we let you go tonight?
We've lost Toby. That was what what effort I've left him. I've left him last for words
with their results and performances over the last couple of weeks. I'm looking at who we have here.
We've connoll requesting to speak if we can get him in. Shane, I might just talk briefly
on the game that I was at tonight unless, unless connoll is the Shammer Grover's fan.
Because really, another draft goal we invited in Dublin affair and looked at us with the teams,
set up to do the goalie teams when they come to Dublin, John Caulfield wasn't at the
dugout tonight. I actually ran into him up, we ran into him up before the game in the lounge and
you're kind of going, oh, it's going to be a tough ask for goal. It's going to get anything out of
this game, but really, that's a better chance. In the first half, Chris Tuarteke had a couple
on the break. He couldn't really get control of the ball one time at another time. Ed McGinty is
outcharped to stop him. It's five minutes four half time and you're going, you've always been
this second really for straight rovers and then it's quite soft goal to concede. The ball is
played across in the left and Coriol Sullivan. It goes all the way across the box. It's a Danny
Grant who was over the other side and he buries an effort really. Chris B effort passed that
and what and then the changes come on the arrow mark and it's france hit on bolo and france
paro and you think here we go. This is they can stretch the game here. They can really take it
to to chamois grovers and they just never really got a chance and the goal, the second goal,
which is to kill her comes a couple of minutes before time. It's the superb ball. If anyone
hasn't seen it from John O'Sullivan, he's only on the pitch a couple of minutes. It's an
absolutely defense bit in pass. Aaron Green does what we've seen Aaron Green do so many times.
Trope years cuts back on the left foot and cruz and home but for Gauy and I did look
there as old stats that are going to happen for them. Especially coming to the champions,
they'll find it tough in those games to pick up wins but a stachain which is absolutely mind-boggling.
The last time Gauy and I did manage to defeat chamois grovers 2006 when both sides were in the
first division. Yeah, I was met aware of that stachain or mail on time at the club. I think we were
we were one nil up against them I think for a while and it looked like we might be the ones that
finally break that who do and look I think Gauy above all apart from all the other sides.
Gauy to me are always the ones who do get the most out of season by doing very well against the
teams in and around them. I don't think they've sprung now listening. You'll probably have a
handful here or there that might prove me wrong but I don't think by an urge they're the kind of
team that's spring too many shocks by beating the kind of league title contenders but what they do
is they grind out wins against the teams around them and that's what has led to them keeping themselves
say for the last couple of years. So I don't think they'll be looked to be disappointed not to get
anything from us but it's not one of those big priority games for them. I saw the Gauys if
described them well I will say I think it's an outstanding finish from Aaron Green. I mean
Aaron Green, Jesus Christ, how many times has he been are we led to believe that he's yesterday's
man and yet he just keeps coming back and coming back with outstanding goals like that one.
And I was interested looking at the team sheet. My guess is did Subalali play as one of the
three central halves then? Is that how? Yeah, he's kind of rotating between being that right wing
back and that right center half but he's center half tonight obviously Pico came back in.
He was at the center and it was back to Danny Granz and Adam Brennan in the wing backs and I just
have to say I know people at Waxley are out on probably after every single game this season but
Adam Brennan yet again. I thought the first couple of times are at the park it did really well
and kind of stopped them and then he just got going after us and after Parker picked up a yellow
card towards the end of the first half and that was the end of his journey really like you
he didn't come back out for the second half but Brennan yet again he went by him about four or
five times like what a player really I encourage it if you haven't got out to see Adam Brennan
yet you have to get out much before he's gone. If he gone very very soon. I'll tell you what I
assume I assume Roland Finn's fingerprints were all over that one he has he has repaid whatever
they're paying him in one foul soup there with the heads open and I did ask me did you say it was
coffee done a suspension did you say he wasn't in the bank or wasn't under the bench? Yeah coffee
was suspended so it was all in the doggos and which again look you're coming to Dublin you're
facing the champions you're without your manager you're your manager who knows already in coffee
it was it was always going to be a tough task to get something out of that and and look they
equate themselves with their job quite well like from from from what they have to do but
when you're up against the side that can bring off the bench the likes of Michael Noon and the
likes of Aaron Green it's going to be very tough to stop them you know. Yeah for sure for sure
listen I see you have a few more requests in there so let you back on with another one or two.
Absolutely we Anthony in there from a Bohemian's perspective who I hope was that
Davey mountaineer how are you getting on? Hey Abane hey Shane sorry about that I know how to
feel Gremlins there tonight and I've only been able to hear clean the little bits of pieces
of what you were saying probably at the messing up your whole sequence of events there you
want to talk to me about it you're on it uh and you know I welcome I'm actually doing
with the flu here so I gave I gave the ticket to one of the young lads can't get a ticket for
daily man sort of like gold just and so I end up watching her on the on the tally here and yeah
like like when you're gonna start with don't talk here lads they were phenomenal they were
way far in the way the best thing we've played this year and purely downed and I go that gold gave
it exactly what what what what everything that a pitmore is to know it was then the ball didn't go
dead they won the first and the second header they got the ball across the box they challenged
they wanted it more and everything about that performance and was going to end up all in
in the same way when I first saw it was not for you ways in the ref given that but when you look
in the back it's just all about they wanted it more and they were and and that was the team throughout
the game with the wonder of very good and we need to prize teams like that because the league
only get better off team set up like that now that's not critical so isn't the the the
draw does ended always in this world because they have to win games the way you have to win
game they mean don't fall in the leg down to do something similar at the start of the season
credit where credits you if you can get it if you can get a manager like her and killed all from
set up like that and the likes of Darryl Horgner was they were a joy to watch something and there
were just a kind of credit to where what we can deal with if we if we can if we can get teams in
the league playing like that they won't be far off they won't be far off the share of to keep
that up lots and it's not a bit fine in the mail are coming up with a scenario to stop them playing
like that because if they're if they're breaking lines and they're doing what are what they don't
there tonight to be very very good for a team they've already lost one game am I right in saying that
all season yeah yeah they're not I'd echo everything you've said there that they've been so
impressive like even even in the even in the games that they didn't win early on I don't think
this rune of farm that they've had what is it seven points from nine over the last over the last
week I don't think that's commas a surprised anybody because in even in previous games they had
looked very very good to be fair to me absolutely but we spoke on the alloy part of the last two weeks
saying how it's absolutely insane they hadn't picked up a win that was just before the the
the right thing I know tonight again and as Anthony said there they they it's it's not just how
well they play it's it makes for playing for friends while making it look good like it's it's
direct but it's direct in the right way it's it's it's you know I say I hate to send the right
way in terms of being a you know trying to tell people how to play football sides have to
settle pragmatically if they come up but when it's direct it's so fast it's so exciting to watch
and the forwards they have at their disposal like over the two games um on the Friday Monday the
goals came from on Kenny Darahorgan Declimic Day at Rowan T and then baby Ruby's car is the
night so the goals are spread out all across the front it's it's just absolutely fantastic to watch
them I'm glad it was more the same tonight by the sounds of it Anthony we can touch on a on a
Bose perspective we're looked at you stay on beaten I suppose which which is which is the main
thing but the lead is caught to one at the top what did you make of the performance tonight overall
yeah was patty um way kind of what had me reservations from the last two games like we've had
scored a bad halves of football if we want to look at it that way so I don't think we've been we've
been as the the rubber phrase after the air been I don't think we've been as pragmatic as we can be
so I was going to say and after the shells game on the Monday I was saying we looked way too
comfortable at the back so I was thinking Sam Todd could play there by himself um you know we've
came born and Lee Kavanaugh on the bench there oh oh oh it wouldn't be against in the second
round the games bringing Hickey up to it to a more central role and and something like more of a
something that you played with call away last year that caused we know we every time we played
against my pals he causes awful trouble and every time we're seeing so I'd be kind of saying right
we don't have Douglas James Taylor we don't have we we've got a couple of teenagers there you
Martin and Charles who had a great game tonight but I think if if we don't look in the free agent
America or we don't have a plan B for Colin Whey and it's not fair for him to be holding the
mantle up there and running the lines and he's running the channels the whole time we need to be
if we're talking about titles and and getting to where we need to be it's it's it needs to be that
little bit more we need to go and get it rather than okay we'll hold off to late he's six minute
and get get a winner from a corner if our Loki sort of attitude and no wait and don't get me wrong
that's been ultra super critical from where we've come from and and on where we are and it's
working for us but I just how like we have Patrick Keke there you tax the ball he's able to
and we just give us a different dimension I think it's a plan B but I think it's it's something that
what you're going to call before the Dundalk him and I think moving into the second half of the
season we need to be I know Douglas James Taylor is supposed to be back but it's not it's not
something we can rely on so we need to look at plan B and we need to look at how teams won't figure
us out quickly when we're doing that and that's and I I think that kind of feeling that I coined
the narrative to know it when you're looking at the game you're going to say and like you can see
what they're doing it's noise it's it's all tippy happy and it's all in in and around and noise
stuff both let's turn the dial on the game lance let's let's kind of know how we how we'll be scoring
goals how are we able to get it it's it's it's brute force and and and strength and ability and
if you look at all the games across the lakes tonight it's it is that sort of mostly in and get
and get your goals sort of at you the noise flurry stuff is good and it gets yourself
fireable let's call it spade spade that's where balls are going to whore teams mostly if we can get
a center forward that can that can do a plan B option you know when you're wrapping up a long day

promo code AUDIO turns apply seasite for details disagree with that yeah it's it's interesting Ben
because you know when you start talking about bulls you inevitably start talking about you know
Dawson and you start hungry on column heel and and and Ross tyranny and so on but like their
current league position is built on their defensive record more sold in their attacking record
like they haven't they haven't scored more than one goal in the game since that brilliant robbers
performance like the last four games in a row they've only scored what the last four games
they've only scored a goal in in well a goal in three of those and no goal in one of those but
thankfully on the flip side they've also done brilliantly defensively three three clean sheets
in those four four games so you know there is obviously still for all the quality they have
there is still a misnegredient or or or a choose let's pause the phrase that he's
going to play more of a plan B maybe required there um from because they're doing the fantastic and
and by the way like and a real opportunity to kick on even further now like their next three games
and just glancing here their next three games are against three teams that again would be in the
the bookmaker's bottom five for the season in the betting so like there's an opportunity there
to go what we're looking at away to draw that at home to water that at home to sly go
like obviously everybody gets a chance to catch the bread now with no game next weekend
everybody gets a chance to catch the bread and maybe and maybe you know kind of look back at
the game so far what has been working what hasn't been working before they they make another
burst at it but really Anthony like he you would fully be back in your set of therapy picking up
seven points from nine probably across those three games and if you could do it off that will
put you in a very commandant position yeah but again Chen you're you're you're hidden in on the head
there although I'm looking at and I'm a little bit more analytical kind of looking at sometimes
like even the rovers game you spoke but one of them was a penalty and one of them was a we caught them
under break early in the second half it wasn't and one of them was an unbelievable goal but what
I mean go what I'm getting at is it's not it's not seamless it's it's kind of it was the second phase
to know you and when we got to send a half open score to go you're dead waiting for you to say
and we need to have a little bit more it needs to be a little bit more easier to kind of get in
and score it doesn't have to be that hard and I think we have the players there does it does it
remember Claudio Renieri when we're like to tinker man and and that was a whole thing when they
were gone well I think that needs to happen to her a little bit I think I think we have the key
to the lock but it's just about putting it in the Roy kind of set up and again the game against
Terry to ask the voice guards a free kick if you look at what we've scored so far it is your dead
we are built on defensive solidity I think we might have lost on Terry yeah yeah
look and can I just say on that chain where you were talking to me think like every time you speak
down the Reynolds he's very quick to let you know that they were the best defensive team in the league
last season and and I'll be it ever talking about that new back four this is not a new team for his
side what I will say about to go on forward it's it's very interesting like I think he's talking
about you know a free agent markets I know took a same sailor has injury problems and solders
column wheelen it'll be very difficult to sell a striker to to come in the door there when you know
the same sailor and column wheeler fish they are for a choice yeah yeah no I agree with you
agree with you and look at you and the switcher I would be more looking at somebody in the line
behind that and then send forward I think if they can keep those two boys anywhere right at all
I think they've got more than a firepower between those two but yeah it's that spark again behind
like you look at the assist you look at the assist by struts tonight I haven't seen a huge amount
of him I don't know I don't think he's he's started a huge amount of games but you like the defender
probably should do a little bit better but but he's done brilliantly for for the assist for
for Patrick Kiki's goal you know I'd like to know is there more in him can to get more out of him
can he produce moments like that more often yeah they probably need a bit more from from from
maybe they're attacking wide areas yeah I agree with you 100% and an absolute wealth of options
there too and we've had Keith Powell and Connell who have been very very great to be waiting
for quite a long time we have Keith in there now Keith how are you getting on
all good all good are you making your way back from the game is this
hey aren't we sad about the dog and think they are I know we've had them for an year but I think
they're a matter sorry they don't want to show them and to be honest with you how well they
they're kind of outside the original top five as well to be the real ones this year to maybe
break down I know it's probably better expectations than they talk that we're going to have
at the start of the year but they are definitely disappointed pockets and so I know we played them
again in a couple of weeks two weeks finally thing for them it's not going to be as easy as to
but just our past look to be honest with John Delay is couldn't be happier now with the
way things are going it's a minute and considering the doom and gloom we had the second half
a last year miss now in Europe and even though we started off this season like I don't know I'm
only speaking of myself but I was worried when we saw polls that's all we lacked anything we
you know we didn't look like we go breaking down with all and backing leavey doing something
or coming up with something what or not I thought we were we're pretty lethargic at times
we move the ball slow but I suppose once we go into our rhythm yeah like we're both strong tonight
this was our past time to sign the stream a little bit now you know it's it's it's a maybe anyway
we won't say if this is our year but we're definitely going to be knocking on the door I think with
all the players we have to come back still and I'm real positive about it anyway I don't know what
he's saying about parts of the Minerva and yeah with like you know leavey's out landing obviously
is is the gloom and I mean it's real he's been out for the last two three games and with first
our hasn't featured at all and look I know he's probably not can he say the player we still
for the second one of the best players in the league and there's our three takers to come back
basically I know Edmond's inside every game but he's okay our side is still like Keena
and I have to come back probably another the part their players are clearly not my fate knows to be
signed game so by the other really think that when we when we get going in the one time and we have
other players they powered from back I was ready to come back yeah I think it would be very
strong to be honest with you just I sure listened or there's unbelievable strength in deck
their key to after cobernate fairly well like it's it's you look at what was brought on after
the bench again you know in a league where in a league where we don't have a huge amount of
premium strikers you've got you know you've got two guys who have shown in the past that the
cable of family goals sit on your bench in Matatina and I mean I know he said he didn't even get
to watch the game but I assume you're probably seeing the key that's not slashes I mean he's done
he's done absolutely brilliantly there I I still think like they actually have a bit of a
dilemma there because Edmondson has gone so well he's probably done better maybe than they were
expecting him to do I would be surprised if Steven talk that he would be the starting set more
for the seven red games into the season but I also think to have to find a way to get Keena into
the starting limit under regular basis now Keena sees he is a class act and I know he's maybe
struggling to find his farm but haven't seen his appearances the last couple of appearances off
the bench I think he looks so so lively I think he could be one of the best players in the league
once he gets into that side among a regular basis and then like you said just options all open
fields absolutely all over the field like solid players like Tom Gorbasti and Brezlin you know
guys who who would have been regular starters you know only coming on the substitute I think
Palmer is probably a big one for you as well is he?
Hello I don't know what's up there
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, and finally, he had been my philosophy.
He's probably been a stand-up player this year.
Like, yeah, he doesn't know what to do.
It's obvious, and most of them, when he went out last year,
when he got to buy the injury, I formed my philosophy
this time tonight.
You know, he's, he's a fantastic player.
And just like you were saying, I'm the resident
and Tom Gravasi, like really, it is really,
with the back, which was the three-center box
and the two wingbacks we have, like,
I don't see, I don't get into the team,
I'm saying with Tom, and, you know,
the two very good players, but, like,
that was worried about our back, you know,
starting with a bike tree at the start of the year.
It was kind of fly.
But now, the, you know, the way to move
and just seems to do it.
Now, the nearly tall red in the seats,
and either Turner or James Brown,
who's been an absolute revelation,
like, sure, that he's going to go down.
If he can keep this form, he's going to the same
as the season.
And he came out with a blue.
Really, like, we weren't that strong.
It was looking for savings ways.
Like, when you look at the players at the left,
we were on a Doom and Gloom, like, Jake Lee,
and Turner got a lack of access,
so he brought loads of these, so, you know,
players that we were laying on last year,
all seemed to go out with the door,
and it was a bit, you know, a Doom and Gloom,
but, yeah, like, I don't see anyone getting into that box,
I believe, at the minute, five, one of the wingbacks
that comes in, obviously.
Or, yeah, I really like the way that the movement
between the batteries was fantastic,
because, like I said, the balls came.
I don't know if that's what they seemed to say,
or just to be in the hard to break down,
and sort of like, God, for the last few games,
you seem to have left the shackles off.
If Redmond sits, you know,
Turner Brown wants to get the game open,
join in into the mid-season,
and create an hour overload there on the time,
which, it's not the time to go back three,
like, it's beyond his agenda.
I mean, let you find as well.
I wouldn't have been talking about, you know,
the five-three being soul-negative,
or sort of negative formation.
And credit to Steven Cainey,
because, you know, a lot of friends,
we want not happy last year,
and we want happy the way the year starts,
and all of a sudden, just a bit of momentum,
it's building, it's building,
and we're both strong points tonight.
Like I said, we can start dreaming a little bit,
and a lot of my mates are all wrong with signs
and sort of like that,
and I am sick to that, to listen to them,
so, yeah, maybe we might be out here this year,
you never know.
Yeah, and listen, you touched on one of the two of them there.
I think it's worth pointing out that,
for all the bigger names that you have in the side,
you mentioned Parner.
Parner and Bagley have been pots only to ever presence this year.
They've played in every minute of every game so far.
And again, they're two guys,
maybe, Bagley people would have seen a lot in Bagley,
but they said to me at the start of the year,
or given all the options that she had,
that Parner would play every minute of every game to this point.
I wouldn't have taught in a million years,
but he's been flying for you as well.
Yeah, I think he's Mike might have gone there again.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Parner has been outstanding.
I thought it lived.
They say he, you know, I tell you,
it was the last year,
but he's definitely going into that pool.
The shoe is so easy to treat by his muscles.
Like, you know, that shoe,
so it was like, you know,
I don't know what to say to that,
but when you stand there looking at him,
the tree, you know,
mum and the men,
like, your heart breaking and down,
especially when you're paid,
so you're so easy to them.
With McCalland,
like I said,
his power comes back,
blah, blah, blah.
And, yeah,
they're known as the men.
Like, they're not going to be easy brought down.
And just to what you said,
on Kena,
like, lastly,
I was at the most,
sorry,
the Monday,
I think I'm very,
as much as it was the born fast.
And I talked,
I came with some plastic,
he came to play him more in a little panoron.
And he was he was suffered deep for Edmonton with Halon,
the, the,
the Halon,
the back form,
kind of a little bit higher.
Halon,
and the very back form,
very high it would.
I talked,
I did,
Kena was some plastic,
he was dropping into little pockets,
getting on the bars,
playing to twist and tighten his way in.
And he was just a little bit unloopy
and I agree.
I'd just say that if we can get Kena
really and really on the phone like you know it's got the panel and then the goals
going today or whatever you want to ring it but when you really catch the conference
open catch in the form of King of the Davison and then if you're right they already have
a relationship like you know so and Evans has been great don't like he's he's a young
ever mind he's five he's strong chase the title holds the ball up I know when the first
couple of games you know he's probably finished the couple of chances but that's
even when he's not gone he's bringing a lot to the table and if you have like you said
my and King it's come on and King leave he's come back he's obviously going I think he's
going to get a lot of goals from his field and he was the positive badly so Bagley's
in brilliance now look I'm going to tell you how Chris far as to find and far as to always be
the mind to me but I think Bagley is keep one out of the team because he's a little bit more
to the team and then Chris far as far as I told him is really can he say good player he
preferred to have to work like like like Bagley on that then and in there ideally or again yeah
I just think it's hard for us about the minute and if it asks me after game one and the ball
is game like definitely wasn't a lot more in that anyway I was like oh here we go again
another season of mountain season but it really looks like this year though you know we
might and like you said with the players we have to come back just far over they don't
need just anyone to have the strength and death that we have at the minute anyway I'm sure
absolutely after I agree completely he's Barry Bagley I say but Barry Bagley as well
as well you actually go and after really young fellow I had I had to can't speak to him every two
weeks go out and have to say I'm really really lovely young fellow who can absolutely and
for baller he'd have you enjoyed that good spell of form and I hope he keeps it taken
already into action right before you get your phone again thank you thank you thank you
chain before we wrap up it would be rude to me not to touch on the first of his and tonight's
I'll run through this course with people having her very quickly call Ramirez one Brae
wanders one carry one thin harps nail a big win for Carl Healy side 3 denied two
aslone nail and the one I want to touch on UCD nail cork city one what is it with cork city
and turning out superstars called Killian Murphy young six and no Killian Murphy with his first
goal tonight I mean this is just an amazing story isn't it yeah there's been a lot of hype around
this young fellow he's he's he's he's turned they're getting very very excited down there both
and then listen it actually I don't think it gets enough credit then to be honest with you and all
look there's a huge amount of players been banged out with open the capital sort of is but the
cork city production line and some of the players that have been coming off at all the last
years has has been an absolutely top class as well they're doing an awful lot right down there and
this man just seems to be the latest one to come true for them and under rare occasion where it
wasn't a Sean McGuire gold and he did somebody else to come up with one and it's it's the kid who
was done it for them but look that let's be honest it's it's going to be a kick walk for for
cork city they're really solid is and it's it's a case then have let everybody else get on with it
because I think like you look at the table at the moment you've currently got six points between
second and second last so I mean it is best to look at the same at any level of certainty who
you think is going to get those four playoff playoff positions I think they're absolutely
antibodies I don't think there is anything between any and all sides I think over over the course
of of four games you probably get a win a piece and two draws amongst almost any teams within
that division so I think that itself is going to be really really exciting in that division.
Yeah and I know extra obviously still have to play tomorrow night against Langford Town but I
I was listening to a couple of people during the week talk but Kerry and a little bit disappointed
they were a little bit disappointed but Kerry starts to see and then and Kerry wins tonight now all
of a sudden they're left on points with the playoffs like it's it's going to be an absolute brilliant
first vision I think outside of cork who as you said already five points clear at the top of an
excellent brave wonder aside I think unfortunately it may already be wrapped up there but
plans you play for elsewhere in the first division we won't be which is next week folks as
Ireland hopefully we'll make everyone dream when we go to Prague on Thursday night Shane Keegan I hope
you enjoy your week off from League of Harden late night cheers Ben and thanks to Villain for
hopping on as always tonight as ever thanks to everyone for getting involved with your requests
we speak to everyone after the break in a week and a half time take care folks off the ball daily
