Things are changing a bit around here, and I want to tell you why and what to expect. Lost Hills has been quiet for a little bit, so we've decided to do something different. Turn this feed into a home for a new kind of story, told fresh each season. During this fall, this feed becomes examined, a show about cases that never got the real investigation they deserved. Every season will dig into one of those stories with the kind of in-depth reporting you've always heard in this feed. In every season, it'll sound a little different, because we're bringing in a new host each time someone suited to that season's story. So that leads back to me. Again, I'm Josie Duffy-Race, and I'm the first host for examined. My season, the Backfire Effect, is about a guy who was convicted of murder 40 years ago.

This is a story of police misconduct, prosecutorial zeal, and about a very complicated man. That's coming starting September 14th, so stick around.
