Luke Barnatt on Andrew Tate's Arrest, Tom Aspinall Is Not Coming Back & Ask Uncle Chael

0:00What's happening guys? Happy Friday! I'm so glad we can meet I am in a hotel in Moscow. I have a guest who's going to join me via Zoom. Luke Barnard is going to fill us in on what's going on with him. He is now a promoter. As a deal lined up with UFC Fight Pass, we'll see if we can get into that. Luke is also very tight with Tristan and Andrew Tate. He's going to possibly be giving us a legal update on that so much to get to. Plus, everybody's favorite episode. Ask Uncle Chale guys. Let's start the show. All right now Luke, a quick introduction for anybody that I think who knows who we are. I'm Chale. You're Luke. We met on season 17 of the Ultimate Fighter. You were the first pick. By the way, that season went on to be and still holds the distinction of the highest rated season of all time.

1:05I got to tell you, man, I am very proud of you. From the time that I met you, you had some very big goals that you wanted to do. One was to get to the UFC, which you promptly did. Another was to stay involved with mixed martial arts. What you're doing is a mector and a corner man, but you also told me you wanted to be an announcer, which is another thing you have succeeded at with Octagon, which is a beautiful show by the way, man. Who's running that and how come I don't see Octagon more often in the US when I get a clip, I am blown away by the level of production. The productions unbelievable and appreciate that. I made very, very nice things to say and the life's going well. Octagon is by far the best production company I've ever seen. The biggest production, the best fights that we have. They're very, very active now to events a month all over Europe. There is no such a much in US is they are focusing on the European market. So they have no lofty ideals of going over to the US or doing anything over there. They want to become like the European League of mixed martial arts. So they're champions league in soccer of mixed martial arts in Europe.

2:06They are taking Prague and Czech Republic. They're in Prague, Slava. They had a little stint in the UK. They're huge in Germany now like absolutely massive in Germany and they're looking at moving into new districts. I don't know like France in different countries. I then want to take over each country within Europe that's got a budding in mixed martial arts scene. And I've been the commentator then now for a government five years. I've been there with them for a very, very long time. And they're just about to approach. They're a hundred to Ben. We have an event. I think it's September 26 in Frankfurt in Germany. We will set the record for the highest attended mixed martial art event in the world ever. It was like 63,000 people last year. And we're looking to hit that higher than that again this year. I think there's only 10,000 seats left when there's a month until you can get the tickets. They are blowing up. They are huge. The guys behind there are quite called Andre Novotny and Pavlon the Ruder. They're a very, very good team of passionate guys about the sport. Also like you said, the production value and the storytelling and what they do with their athletes and how they bring their stories to life and build it.

3:11It's super, super inspirational and the talent they got coming through. Actually, I was just in Vegas last week to see Kaik Brito who fought on the Denny White contender series. I got one of the craziest knockout you ever seen. He was there all the way champion. So you'll see him in the UFC very, very soon. He got contract on Denny White contenders. And he's a monster and there's so many monsters to come through the organization. It's a great thing to be a part of. And then what about distribution over in the US. We were doing basically paper view. But that's gone for the last nine months. We've gone over now. They call it streaming. I'm just wondering what does that look like over in Europe? Do they still do paper view? Are they on free TV? It's still like so. You have a combination with Dr. Gumbarr on free TV in Germany. Something called RTL Plus, which is like their free TV channel. Same in the Czech Republic. Same in Slovakia. The places that dominated, but for the fan bases across Europe and in the US, they have like a fight past deal. So they have like an online platform where you can buy paper view. It's called octagon.tv. So anyone who's watching for anywhere else that's not in the places with free TV,

4:16they will watch online octagon.tv. So it's a mixture. Again, that doesn't help with the US market. So. Yeah, well, it's very interesting. I saw this Clint, by the way, I wish I had it so I could show you what I'm talking about. But you were in this fly suit above everything else. You were dressed really nice. You had the Hankerchief come out of your pocket. Your hair was done. You stand six foot five to start with. You're on the outside of the octagon and some kind of a melee broke out. And some guy was headed. Like he was going to climb over the fence and get involved. And you grabbed him and you became the bouncer. And he respected it. By the way, when you threw him off that fence, he like stayed his ground. But my wife has watched that. I come home and found her laughing. Just I'm like, are you watching a loop video again? And the thing that she can't get around is how nicely you were dressed. That's like makes the entire bit. If you were in a t-shirt, I don't think this story works. What happened there? That's what I want to know. Who the hell was that guy? Who cares who that guy was, Joe? Who cares? Some guy. He was one of maybe 40 that I had to throw off the cage. There was a big issue with one of

5:21these events. Loads of guys trying to jump in the cage. It was a mayhem, like you said, a melee huge. And somehow some guy in the camera just caught me grabbing his guy off the cage because I I felt honestly for everyone who was staff in that scenario, they all jumped in the cage because it was mayhem and it was going wrong. And I became like the protector, the fire in me reignited. And I was like, I'm going to sort this out. And actually there's a few of us. There's a guy called Pascal Kraus who commentates as well. Gemma got to me. And Pascal, we're like pushing people off the cage, protecting, protecting, protecting. And unlike the 35th, 40th guy, they catch me, grabbing him off, pulling me down and throwing him out. And it's gone super viral on Instagram. And actually the thing that everyone comments on is like you said, help impeccably dressed I am as I always am. And I take my jacket off like I mean, WWE and I just place it down carefully to wait for the next one. You know what I mean? So it was a bit of fun. I had to, the guys in Oktobergan were like upset. I uploaded the video because they saw that it shows the problems at the event. But it was everywhere.

6:25It was everywhere. And I could, to be honest, my ego couldn't help it. I had to post the video because you know, your wife loved it. I had a lot of nice DMs just put it that way. Bro, I've been there. I have had like a tweet that I know should not go out, but I get so excited for that little rush of attention I'm going to get to the people that see that I just have to post it. I have to put, sometimes I post it and put the phone down just so I like won't delete it. Okay, hey, we just had something here in the US. It was the Conor McGregor car if we had padded the patty. Gable Steve's and Max Holloway. They all got their money withheld from that night. They got their licenses temporarily suspended in the head to go before the Nevada State Athletic Commission for a celebration, which is where they jumped and straddle the cage, which I believe is something that you liked to do yourself. What did you think of that? Did you see that? What did you think about that? Daniel Corby is strongly of the mind that that was excessive. I actually understand the problem that if somebody was to fall off and I was at an event where they did this

7:26guy at Bellator did the Justin Gachi. He crawled up there and hit the backflip. The cameraman that knew he was going to do this because he didn't have three previous fights. He's planted there to capture it. He falls on the cameraman, breaks the guy's leg and now we've got a problem. So I'm only sharing with you like it's not just to stop a guy from having his glorious moment. There's actually some history behind it. Did you see this? I didn't actually know that, but I fully understand and this has been going on forever. Like this, I remember 15 years ago, don't jump on the cage. But whatever you do, don't jump on the cage. Don't jump on the cage. So I feel like it's a bit excessive, but if it's part of the game and it's part of the rules and you are told, we're not up to celebrate if I go on the cage and you do it. There has to be some sort of, you know, you're trying to contract, you agree to do a thing, someone on the side of it. If you're going to celebrate, I thought it used to be fine. I'm sure they used to get fine like five grand or something to jump on the cage. With holding income, I don't know if I agree with that, but a huge problem. And if you want to try and do backflips of the cage, or glory to the best of luck. But I think that moment for me,

8:32where I pulled that guy down off the cage, like I said, I think it re-ignite this energy within me. I feel like I want to get another celebration. I want to jump on the cage one more time and feel it's been six years since I've been inside the cage fighting. So I got a bit of a first for you again. All right, Luke, I'm, I'm easy and you win to this because I actually have kind of a strong conversation to discuss with you today. And all right, last time we were in New York, I'm out there with my mom. You invite us to take us to this, this killer dinner. But one person that joined was, was Andrew Tate. And I feel as though I know Andrew Tate, but I don't officially. That was the first night that I met him. I try to follow this stuff and in fairness, I've even come to you and go, man, is this a work? Is this a performance because he has mastered social media. And there are times when I don't know like the level of ridiculousness gets so out there that a lot of times when a story comes, I just dismiss it at this point. It's almost an internet character. But he and his brother got put in handcuffs. The gig is up like the joke is over at handcuffs.

9:37What is going on? I mean to explain to the Americans as well for you guys like, obviously your audience is mainly American. It's like these guys, I've been side by side with these guys for years, and I'm 15 years. So they're very, very close to me and good friends of mine. And what has happened to these guys has been going on since 2020. So if you go all the way back to 2020 before they were famous before you'd heard of them, before you knew their name, COVID here. And these are the guys going out on the internet saying COVID isn't real. I'm going to go, I'm going to fly to Sweden. I'm going to enjoy myself and I'm going to get drunk with all these pretty ladies. And they became these like internet sensations from back moment, from COVID. It really started to get them moving. And ever since those initial moments, their voice has always been of one thing. They've always been of freedom. They've always been of being yourself and having your own power and not being held back by anybody and strength. And that has been their message. The message has always been very anti-government. The message has always been very, you know, sovereignty, freedom, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. And as they grew in popularity, now listen,

10:42things that they've said about women not being out to drive and they've got taken off YouTube and don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, because why you said they create these internet characters. But the core message that they've always held has been be a strong individual, push yourself, become the best version of yourself. And through this, they became very wealthy as well. So by being becoming very wealthy and their voice growing, growing, growing, growing, growing, growing, the UK, England has been after these guys for six years. They have been trying to put them behind bars, been trying to silence them, to try and get their voice off the internet, but they are saying, you, you can do something with your life. You don't have to subscribe to the life that you've been given by the government. You don't have to subscribe to the like that you gave them with universities. You as an individual who can break free of the matrix, escape the matrix. They have had this voice in this message for so long and they have constantly been trying to shut them down, shut them down, shut them down, shut them down, shut them down. Look, they're not even hiding that like the government would not disagree with what you just said. The government is almost proud that they're stepping in to take and that's, that's kind of one of the things where I get lost.

11:46And I mean, this can't be real. They didn't even live in the UK, for example. I mean, they were living in Romania or they were living in the US, but it's the UK. So UK this after, please continue. Yes, exactly. So they were living between Romania to buy in the US and they were spending more and more time in the US because, you know, they liked it there and they've been away from there for whatever and they're from the US. They're going to remember the US sits at the US passport holders. So they fell safe there. They were enjoying it, whatever. And because the UK been after them for so long, this is why I want the audience to understand. And then the to see through the bullshit and all of these charges and we've seen it a million times with high end guys and they've got too big. Their voice got too big. Well, their message got too big and they have to shut them down. It is 100% politically motivated by the UK to get them off the internet. They have been after them for years and years and years because of their message. Now when they go to, to, I think they were in Florida in Miami, enjoying themselves, they go there a lot, all of a sudden they get chucked in handcuffs. Ever since then, we're going to understand which I, I don't understand the

12:47American system as well as you probably do. But they are now in a consul's confinement. The shoe they call it, I believe 23 hours a day on their own in a bathroom, stuck, can't go anywhere, can't speak to nobody, can't interact with anybody because they haven't been accused of something. Now, the accusations aside, we don't need to discuss them. But if you are not being found guilty of anything from my knowledge, you can't shouldn't spend 30 days in prison. But there would no access to anything without being in soup to anybody in the worst conditions you could possibly think of. And anyone who believes that this has to do with accusations that they have been accused of, it just can't see through the main picture. It is politically motivated from the UK. So if anyone's wondering what the fuck is going on with these guys? Why they even behind the back? Doesn't make any sense. It's because it doesn't make sense. There is no reason it can make sense because it is 100% controlled by politics and they are political prisoners. And the whole message for you guys is if they can do this to some of the most famous people in the world, if you have an opinion that the politicians disagree with and you voice it,

13:51we are seeing more and more and more now politically, it destroys you. They try to destroy your life and then they literally take it away from you and they chuck you in jail. And that is what has happened with the Tates. The Tates have had systemically had their lives attempted to be destroyed year after year after year and they have resisted through all of their knowledge and understanding and making income and making money and whatever. And because they keep resisting or resisting or resisting, I just have to get them. So they put them in behind bars. We're now waiting for them to have a meeting of our extradition because they are trying to extradite them from the US to the UK, which again makes no sense because they are US citizens. You know what? And it's a tremendous problem. I feel if they touch down on UK soil, it's going to be a major loss. I mean, the UK to your point is very open about it. By the way, when I think of the UK and I've been there a number of times, been there with you, I think of it a lot like America. It kind of looks like America and people kind of act like America, but I don't actually know the justice system. Do they get 12 people? Do they get

14:52a jury? Do these guys have a chance at some point to share their side of this? They used to. So the great way you, I would say when I lived in the UK, which has been a long time now, 15 years, maybe because I lived out in California. I was in Poland for six months training with you in America during flying San Diego with the guys. Then I moved down in now in the south of Spain in Marbella and I've been here for a long time. The UK used to be like that. The UK used to be like America. I would say now it's become more twisted and bad than it's ever been and they have taken away the jury system. They have taken away the, the did this system of being voted by your peers and having your day in court and that they're restricting everything they can. It's become unbelievably biased and controlled and the government now with the government that we have, the amount of silencing and putting people in prison for their opinion is gone through the roof. England has fallen off of a fucking cliff and this is one of the reasons the Tates have been so strong and well I want to say there was a two billion pound fund

15:58in the UK from the government that went into schools to try and program children to have anti-tate mentality, two billion pounds of the tax payers money will spend a going against state messaging and state's message was be a strong individual, build yourself up, you can make money in your own, you don't need the government's help. That was his message. So they've been fighting this in the system for so, so, so long. So you're right. If the Tates touchdowns in so early in the UK, they have been often for so long. It is over. I believe it's over. It's over. It's over and if we get there, the US citizens, the way that it is, it's, but what's happened just through accusation, it will be a very, very, very sad day. And what were they born by the way? I know they're US citizens, but is that because they were born here or they were born here? They were born here. Their father was our military, so they moved around a lot. I want to say it was Illinois, but I'm terribly wrong. But it's not even close call. They are US citizens, the end.

16:58US passport, US citizens, they moved to the UK when they were eight or nine years old, I believe, with their mother and then when they said parents separate and they were like raised in the UK, which is why they speak like me. They say weird things like water and they sound a little bit funny, but they are US, you know. More of my chat with Luke in just a minute. All right, guys, now let's go back to Luke. It's a tough one to watch. Like what they've done a really good job of when they decided to attack these guys, embarrass these guys is they run in accusations that nobody wants their name attached to, which makes it tough to defend them. Like a lot of people would just get scared and just go, I'm out. That topic is too sensitive. I don't know how to navigate it. I'm out, but I do feel as though there's some cooler head somewhere. I mean, there's some reason they got taken. I don't like that part of it. I don't like that they

17:58don't have a chance to work with their lawyers or that they can stay at home. They weren't out about doing bad things at the time. There is something known as home confinement where you prepare. I don't like that they were grabbed, Luke, but I do feel the fact that they have not been extra tired. I feel as there is an adult somewhere in the room that saying, hey, wait a minute, we don't just give our guys to a different country in this in this case, England. Maybe that's wishful thinking by me, but I do feel that on some level, somebody is keeping a little closer eye on this case than maybe they're advertising. Well, we need to hope so like you said, that I'll say some facts. They're not all flight risk in any single way because they had this problem in Romania for a very, very long time and they made every single court day ever. They have the means to travel wherever they want. They flew back from Dubai to meet court dates. So it's not like they're going to disappear. So they've been doing that for three or four years. So when you call it a flight risk like they're going to disappear, impossible. So that they've proven that for years and years, but they've still been locked up. Obviously, you could have the home arrangements.

19:00You can have house arrest. They've been on house arrest for three or three years in Romania previously as well. So they used that on a system side. When you're talking about a tradition, I hope so. I hope what you're saying is true. I don't know if it's just part of the system when we're taking time because they were supposed to have a court day on the 13th of August. And I think it's been moved to the, I want to say 29. I'm not 100% sure when they will have their day to find out about their tradition. That was moved because Tate Andrews team decided to move it because they were slandered with all of these accusations. Like two days before the court hearing was happening, they were giving all of this, this is what you're accused of and all of this stacks of paperwork. So they had to work through. So to get a good defense to whatever they're being accused of, they had to push it back a little bit, you know, to prepare. So they've actually pushed it back for a few weeks to prepare for this to go into this and this extra edition case in this date that's going to happen. I believe it's a 29% sure. That will prove what you just said.

20:02Is someone looking out for them in some way as US citizens to get the accusations to get what's going on as a politically motivated case that they are facing right now completely 100% politically motivated is the US government on some way protecting their US citizen. That's what it comes down to. If you are a US citizen and you're watching this unfold and I want to say something quickly, if you don't understand what this is about and you're a fan of Andrew or you're not a fan of Andrew, we all love entertainment, right? This is the most entertaining, the most interesting thing going on right now on planet earth. There's nothing more. And Andrew did a podcast with a guy called Jack Neil. It's like three hours long and it is fucking fascinating. So just go and watch that and Andrew will break down for you step by step what has happened to him over the last six years and it is unbelievable. It is astounding. It is incredible and is going on in our lives right now. We don't need to watch a movie is physically happening. I really think you should do that. I had a conversation with a congressman and if we can leave it at that I can keep names out. But I

21:05was in Florida. So Florida congressman we have a conversation that was about Tate and this is about a year and a half ago. In fact, I was out there. The corner Colby when he was getting ready to take on what came buckly for respect almost two years ago. And we're talking about the Tates. And this congressman said yes, it is very true. It is very true that the government will control and try to control your minds. And he said, but we stop at a certain age. So we do this because there's things that we need. He was explaining it to me and it was very obvious, but I didn't know it until I was told it. He just talked about school. We will control you until we get you into high school. We will control you until you get that diploma. And at 18 years old, we largely step back. But the full control will continue on until your past 25. And he said the most important thing that the reason that the government needs to to big brother you with ideas is we've got to have access to our fighting aged men. This is the term he used though. He said, fight everybody tells about 18 to 25. They throw in demographics. He didn't say 18 to five. He said, fighting age,

22:11which means the same thing. But I just thought this was interesting. And he said, that's who they're influencing. We cannot have anything that gets into their minds until we release them. And we don't release them until they're 25. I just thought that was fascinating. I thought I would share that with you. And he's also right. That is the demographic that gets drawn to the dates. I don't know that I have quite seen the correlation or the problem, which the congressman also said, hey, I don't really have a problem with this. But that that is what what some of the governments are seeing. It's the people that are listening to dates are the same people the government still needs until past 25. The listen to that. Yeah. Yeah. They need military age men. And I tell you what made this so apparent to me, forever I've understood this and I've known this. But recently I went to a Kanye West concert, right? Talk about someone to a government I'm like, I was good. I went to this concert. There was 80,000 people in this concert. And everyone you could think we go to big events all the time, big Emma May events, 20,000, 30,000, whatever. 80,000 people in this arena. I

23:14watched the concert, whatever. And I was leaving. And there were streams of people on the streets. And I was looking around just thinking, Jesus, it's a lot of fucking people. And I know it sounds dumb, but it's a lot of people. And then I understand that if you are a man like Andrew who has influence over 10 million people. And then I did some research and I looked into the day, one of the biggest way it more days in World War II for the for the British on the beaches, right? How many people stormed the beaches? It was around 160,000. But at one time on the beaches was like 30,000 men. So if you have influence, if Kanye West has influence about 80,000 people to get them in a arena, 80,000 I was thinking, if we get these 80,000 people guns, we can have a throw the gun like this. And that is a fact. And that is real. And when you next time you're a big event and you look around, you think, if all of these guys were military-aged men and they were all noteworthy by the same way in the same way, and they're focused on one objective and it's over for our government, you could do it. So I understand the fear of the UK government. I understand the fear of these governments thinking,

24:18God, something like Andrew has control over all of these minds. And like you're saying, the young military-aged men, they are at most influence. And they are brainwashing us. They are brainwashing us from the moment we are born with media and with everything else, like the congressman said. And maybe they need to. And I'm not against that. I've got no opinion on it. But the fact that they, that is what this is about. That's what I wanted to try and say. The point that you just said is amazing. And that is what it's about. The influence that these guys have over every young mind on the planet through social media by mastering the algorithm and doing everything they did, because these guys invented clipping, by the way, if you've heard of clipping, these guys invented it. It is what made them their millions of millions of millions. These guys did that. And because of that, they have such influence. And with such influence comes great responsibility. And the government don't believe that they deserve it. They don't believe that they should have it. So what do you do? The only thing to do is shut them up and burn a prison. Anyone who doesn't see that and believes that this isn't politically motivated, and it has to do with the accusations, and it has to do with women and human trafficking and all the bullshit. It's unbelievable. I want to take you to

25:25another parallel figure who had complete influence who went through the same thing. And if you go through him, and that's Michael Jackson, look at Michael Jackson, what they did to that guy, a fucking genius, and they destroyed him. And now if you go back and you look at the evidence of what happened, the guy got wrecked for no real reason. So when you have such influence over young populace, they are going to wreck you. You cannot say things out loud. You cannot say the wrong thing. You have to follow the messaging. And once now we're getting this this age of the internet and people like you, and I want to say allowing me to come on here and say this to your audience, most guys don't want the heat. They don't want to talk about it. They don't want to discuss it. So I appreciate that. And by doing that, you're completely controlled. The mentality of the youth is completely controlled. We're at a point now in life where we see it. We can finally see it because of the internet, because of inspiration figures like Andrew and Tristan, we get to see how corrupt the system is. We've always known this corrupt, but now we actually physically get to see it because of the actions that are happening. And people are going to do something about it.

26:28There has to be something because it can't continue the way it is. And if you can't stand up for these guys as American citizens in the US, incarcerated right now in the shoe for doing what, what have they done? Tell me what they've done that's illegal. Tell me, they could just be on House for us. If they want to wait until the trial or what if fine, they do not have to be in prison. It's politically motivated and it is a fucking travesty. And like I said, it's the most interesting thing happening right now. Period. All right. And I think the top thing that I want to ask you because I can ask this on social media constantly. I've never responded, but it's only because I don't know the answer. If somebody wanted to help, if somebody's looking at this and saying, man, I want to pitch in. I want to show a lend a piece of support. How do they do that? Is there somewhere where people are meeting online? Is there a website? Is there something like this? What does happen if you wanted to try to help here? This is the battle because we're battling governments. We're literally battling the governments. How do you help? The way that you hope is you spread the message. You do what you've done today. You get the message out there. If you're a

27:31young kid and you want to pipe post the message, get out on social because they are trying to close it down. So get out on social, spread the message, do what you can. And the moment we're at mercy to the system and we have to pray and we have to hope that the American government and the American legal system, they see the reality of what this is about and they see that it's politically motivated and you as a populist in America do not allow your American citizens to be ostracized and used in a political power play. It's just politics. And if you're allowing people's lives to be destroyed because of some big wigs in the UK that don't like a message, the best that you can do about it is be vocal about it. It's gout there. Look out for when the next trial is. If you're in Florida or if you're in Miami, get down there. Let your voice be heard. If it only comes through the website or anything like that, there's nothing. It's just sharing the message, gang out there until there's many people as possible. Understanding is one hope, simply, it's a garbage and the bullshit in the accusation is political. And if you want to prove it yourself, go back to 2020 and watch the footage of Andrew. 29:37I mean, it's the I'm feeling that same way. I'm feeling that's not something that Tom would want to keep a secret. Tom's been pretty open to say, here's what happened. He's brought us along the way on the journey of the rehab. He brought us on the journey of the people that turned on him that he thought should have his back. I feel as though if he had this secret announcement coming up with surreal, we would know about it. And now you've got a guy named Josh Hockett who ex another guy because he's in the division. I think would know about it. And Josh calculated Lee is now going after surreal. As though he's hearing that surreal's possibly they're going to have to defend the interpell or even be elevated. And so I'm just curious. You know, then we hear from Eddie Hurn who acts as though, hey, I got other options for Tom. It's all cool and again. Come with me. I'm just sharing that I don't know it, but there aren't strong rumors in England, huh? No, I don't feel like it's looking good for him right now. I have not trained consistently two days in a row for maybe four years. I'm out of throat, a few punches. I still got the moves at 50 odd fights. I've been offered to come back and fight for octagon, octagon 100 in Prague and a sold out arena just after Christmas on the 7th of 29. He's a good idea. Or is that bad? I did. Okay. So physically, I of course believe in you. And physically, I would love to see that or even even be with you when you do that. Now, I can only share my own experience. I was at a bellator. This was a few years after I retired. It was in the middle of COVID, where the Mohican son. And I remember it so perfectly, we're behind the curtain. If you pull the curtain back, you can see Scott Coker's cage, been we're behind the

32:43curtain. And Josh Thompson says to me, it's Josh big John and I standing there and John says, do you miss it? And I said, yeah, yeah, I miss it. And John go and John interrupts and goes, whoa, what do you miss about it? And I was frozen in place. And I've thought about that conversation for six years, because it was six years ago. Luke, I didn't answer him then and I don't have the answer now. When I was simply, what do you miss about it? There is an answer. I miss the attention is what I miss. I miss people asking me how I'm doing and what I have going next. The that attention is a drug. I miss the camaraderie at the gym. I miss being in the sauna, laughing and telling stories with the guys, but I don't necessarily miss the fights and I don't miss the the stress of it. I definitely don't miss the weight cut, the hard work and my body being sore. And but I never thought of it until John asked me such a simple question. If you miss this, what is it that you miss about it? And it really helped me. It helped me because retirement is

33:46the hardest thing. And then you're in an even harder spot because you're still of the age. You're not over 40 yet. You could still do this. You are still lean and you've still got the contacts all over. So it's it's a really hard thing. So should you do it? That's a personal question. I believe in you fully. I would love it if you did do it. But I do think that maybe you should hold yourself to the John McCarthy standard. If you miss this and what if you want to do it, what is it you miss and why do you want to do it? Those questions might be harder to answer than you think. I mean, I sat K. So I'd have everything locked up and come and saying watching these guys and going to the cage and I look at them and I think that fucking insane. And then I think, oh, I did this for 20 years. What may have been talking about? You don't need, it's like you're in a different mindset. I tell you what I miss, which is the right answer I believe at this time. But you know, you know the feeling, you know the feeling of fight week. When you feel like, even though you've got a car weight and car weight, the worst thing on the planet, especially for big guys and the cars, but you feel like a God, you feel untouchable physically in an unbelievable position in

34:51place. The most men never get to feel. That's what I think fight week is. Fight week is like, when you're going to walk to that cage, you feel fucking superhuman. I haven't felt superhuman for a long time, Joe. And I'm wasting away as I would say, and I'd say maybe wasting the other way, not our way, but enjoy my life a little bit too much. And I feel like ever since fighting, trying to get myself to the physical condition where I feel superhuman is impossible without that challenge. And I'm not a guy who's going to do fucking high rocks or run a marathon. I need to fight. So in my mind, before I'm 40, I have one more. It gets me back into superhuman physical condition. And I can try and maintain that a little bit longer. Maybe I can hit up your doctor and you can give me some advice, you know what I mean? But until then, I missed the grind. I missed the hard work. I missed the suffering because my life has been so good for the last five or six years. So I think I need to suffer a little bit. So I want to put myself through it. That is answer number one.

35:53Number two, of course, I missed the attention. Of course, without a doubt. I just want one more one more run around the sun or whatever you want to cool it. One more go. And we got to watch one of the best knockouts of all time and it was all great. And I want to say a big thank you to Dana for that because a lot of people talk a lot of shit about Dana and they have nothing but positive experience with him. I've been given the opportunity by the UFC and Stephen Tetchey now to put on an event in Africa. So I will be running one of the first ever events in Africa to be back by UFC Fight Pass. MMA or grappling. MMA is called Spirit Fighting Championship. It will be launching in December. We are looking at being in Bannin, Gabon and a few other places are in the battling for it as well. But it's probably going to be in Bannin. So this is a huge announcement. It's going to happen in there in the coming future. And the reason I believe is a huge announcement and what I think is so important is Africa is resource rich and it's also talent rich. Ever since we've seen Francis Ningarnu come to what he's done and what he's achieved, a Tiba is the next stretch of that. A Tiba hate being compared to for a Francis Ningarnu. And I agree he's nothing like him. That kid is 24 years old and a fucking monster and he is going to be me the way champion of the world.
