So what we talked about last time is we're making a study plan and then we're basing upon Scott Young's book, which is called All Trilarnings, one of my favorite books. I think it is the book that has helped me the most in terms of learning anything a lot faster. So reason using Yeti, but also in combination to what is said on All Trilarnings,

6:10a book generally speaking the best way of using Yeti is in combination with something else, right? Because that offers a framework for you to work off on. Okay, so first, what we have is meta learning. Metal learning is when it's like the making the study plan part of it. Like Scott Young's book, he got tossed about like a bunch of other things when you're actually implementing your study plan, which hopefully we have time. Like I have it written down here. Hopefully we have time to talk about those things as well, but the part that focusing on is making the study plan itself and the framework that we go off by is why, what and how? Usually like before AI stuff is to take people like a lot of time. He recommends like 10% of your time in order just to make the study plan because it's pretty important to actually get your study plan, right? Where else it's like, why, what are you, you know, even studying? If your study plan doesn't work, then you might just be learning a bunch of things that are irrelevant and it's not important. So that process is cut down a lot.

7:11If you know how to use AI correctly, so that's what we were doing. I was telling you guys about how to prompt things properly. What else, what else, what else? Yes. Okay, so why would how framework, the why is why do you want to learn the thing? The what is what it is that you want to learn and the how is how are you going to learn it? So AI can't really tell you the why. Like if you don't know why you're learning something, then that's kind of, you should probably see that how you learn it, but I can help you a lot with the what in terms of what it is you need to learn and how it is that you're going to learn it. So the intrinsic and extrinsic, so why does you want to learn? A slide is here basically like you should figure out why you want to learn it in the first place. For me, like for example, my intrinsic motivation for learning how to make better YouTube videos is because I really like it. I don't want to be able to share the things that I learn with you guys as well and help you guys. Hopefully all of us help all of us continue to learn new things and then

8:12just craft the career and life that we want to have. So that's like my goal as to why I want to make YouTube videos by the way. It's actually research shows that it's actually good to have multiple things that you're learning at the same time. So it's not like you have to only learn one thing. You could be like learning something like AI plus making YouTube videos, right? Like you could be doing like also learning a language. So it's actually like not like it's there's nothing wrong with having multiple things that you're learning and multiple study plans that you're having at the same time. So if you can't choose that is fine as well. Okay, so say like the next thing is what to learn. I see if anybody has any comments. What are we doing today? We're making study plans today. Stop touching it. Okay, I'm not touching it. I'm not touching it. Okay. All right, what to learn is concepts, facts and procedures. So Scott splits that up in his book. So concepts is ideas to understand

9:13facts is things to memorize and procedures is processes to be practiced. And then the next one is how to learn it. So after you figure out what it is you want to learn, then you figure out how it is that you can learn it. You can do it based upon what other people have done to pass because you're probably not the first person who wants to learn a language. So you're probably not the first person who wants to learn how to code or make better YouTube videos. So try to learn from people who have already gone before you in order to figure out how it is that you can learn the things you want to learn and emphasize such exclude is say like your goal is to learn at Japanese so that you can watch anime. So your Japanese learning will be focused on understanding when not reading comedy like verbal communication, understanding is the most important and maybe like being able to read is also more important. Maybe you need to emphasize on those things more as opposed to say like writing, for example, Japanese. So how do you make modifications for your

10:14plan depending on what your ultimate goal is? Like I want to make YouTube videos that are centered around educational content that is hopefully entertaining in some fashion, but I'm not a vlogger. I'm also not a what does that call like entertainment like pure entertainment. So my focus would be on those things and I would say like aesthetics is not the thing that I focus on the most. I just really want to be really good at like speaking and just being authentic like those are the things I care about. Does that make sense? Like you want to focus on the things that will get you towards your goal. All right. And then the step after that is to refine your study plan with times and dates. For example, how many hours you want to study? Some like habits of yours. Like for example, for me, I study the best in the morning. I'm kind of just like useless by the time it's night time. So this is also some of the things that you want to think about as well. Okay. So here's the other principles. We'll go over those principles later, but I'm going to

11:18catch my breath first before I talk about this is not my problem. This is someone else's problem. I think this is my problem. Okay. Before I cover this prompt again, any questions or thoughts were concerns about all the things I just said really fast. Okay. One question from you, which is better for learning? I'm not sure I understand that question. What? Which is better for learning? YouTube tutorial documentation learning from blogs and web docs. That's a great question. So these are the things that we will be in our prompt. We'll be figuring out as well. Because the question I would ask you is what are you trying to learn? Right. That's where the why comes from. The why, what, and how framework. So if you go through this framework, you will be able to answer that question and answer what are the best resources. Because the best resources are the ones that are for you. Like for me, for example, whenever I

12:19learn something, I don't do well learning from textbooks because I get bored really easily. I'm a lot better when it's hands-on stuff or it's like video based stuff. For some people, maybe reading a book is like the best approach. So these are all things that it's hard for me to give you like a specific answer, which is why I'm going through this process. So you can find the right approach for you. Now questions. No questions. Okay. All right. Really? That was good. I really, that was fine. Okay. Cool. All right. Right now, I want to make a study plan for ultra learning AI based on the principle of meta learning and the why what how framework. So then I just kind of, like, list what the framework is, why is why I want to learn it? What is what I will learn it? This is the writing to concepts, facts and procedures and how is how I learn it? This is based on techniques of benchmarking and emphasis slash exclude. Benchmarking means define common ways to learn things by doing research, emphasize slash exclude means you're making modifications to align with the goal. Let me actually just pin this as well. Let's start with what I already know how to code and Python. Right. So this is where you write whatever it is that you already know. So in my case, like I already, we ended up, this is the one that ended up with, like for, that was the example I used for if you're trying to learn AI stuff. But for me, if I'm, this is like the one that I really want to learn right now, I also do want to learn AI stuff. So I am trying to make educational YouTube videos as well and try and learn. I'm trying to be better

15:21on the finance side of things. And I'm also learning AI stuff, which is a continuous thing for me. But you know, I'm using this one as an example, which is making educational YouTube videos. So, um, I already like did that, but let's just do it again. I'm going to change the prompt by ultra learning. Making YouTube videos. Blah blah blah. I should be more specific video essays. This is specifically video essays. Um, how will I learn it? Okay. My wife are learning how to make better YouTube videos is to help people learn new things and achieve their career goals.

16:26To create a life that they want. To work themselves. Okay. I've already been doing this for a while. So I know, the fundamentals. Okay. So here's the things you can refine it by adding or removing different things. So in this case, like I already did that last time and I'm just going to tell you what the prompt was last time. Please don't do this. Guys, if you do shit like this, then I'm going to have to turn everything off and then it's not going to be fun for everyone. All right. Please don't do that.

17:26All right. Here is the study plan. Okay. I'm just going to give it the study plan that we already had. And that is where we're at right now. Is everybody who is catching up? 19:34Cool. What was I? Okay. So the next thing is benchmarking, right? How to find common ways for people to learn the thing and then emphasizing excluding. So, like, the study plan here is pretty decent. And I also did a little bit of like tweaking beforehand in order to get to where it is. Where did it go? I disappeared. Okay. Yeah. To get to like what I have over here. So, for example, like, I knew that adding storytelling principles or things that I care about, authenticity on camera, long-term content strategy and editing concepts. But I like feel free to ask in a chat as well. If maybe somebody has knowledge about what it is that you're trying to study to see like, is this a good, are these like the important concepts, facts, and procedures to do? So, in my case, like, since I've been doing this for a bit, like what I generally start with when I want to like see, like assuming that I

20:36don't have someone I can just ask directly, that would obviously be like the best approach possible. But assuming I don't, I would ask like chat GPT in terms of how is it that people usually study these things? Also, like Reddit is honestly great. Like, I really like using Reddit to get started learning something. If you just go to like the Reddit, there's whatever you're trying to learn, there probably is a subreddit for it. And then you can just look at how other people are learning things. Like, for example, how to make, if you're looking at making YouTube videos, there's like new tubers, our new tubers, which gives you like some ideas about what it is that's important. So, I think this is the part where you can ask like chat GPT for a lot of these things, but it also is really helpful to just literally just go on Reddit or just go on YouTube and just type in like how to learn XYZ. It's a good framework to get started in combination with using chat GPT. I would spend a little bit of time doing this part. Like, for example, assuming that I did not know anything, thumbnail and titles, thumbnails, what everyone sees, if you have a good video, video

21:42and introduction in the first 10 seconds of your video are crucial. And then I would also like look at stuff. Yeah, this is a really good one as well. So tips and tricks, I'll be making YouTube videos for a decade. Here's what I learned along the way. And then, you know, you're able to understand what it is like things that are important, things it is that for you to learn. And start the content you want to make and change it to serve your channel. So maybe if I were first starting out, I would have something to learn just based upon how is it that I'm able to make the content I want to be making. Consistency, how do you say consistent? This will be something on a study plan as well. Be serious about an action equipment. So this will also be something to put into the study plan. What is necessary? What isn't figuring out what the equipment is needed? Does that make sense? So by the way, if you have any questions related to like tech coding AI stuff or like YouTube stuff, I might be able to help you out as well to see if these are concepts that are important to you.

22:46So the thing that the study plan that I currently have, I would just say something like, could you tell me a bit more about how people get good at making YouTube? Videos, for example, what frameworks are they're concerning thumbnail? First, 10 seconds. I don't want to reinvent the wheel. Please do research. So always go to tell it on Bing. Specifically, check out Reddit posts.

And as you get butter, whatever it is, you're learning, probably like some of the things that you're trying to learn, like some concepts, facts, and procedures are going to change as well. And that's totally fine. Like, maybe you realize that does not that for some reason, or you don't care about the equipment that much.

24:57And you can switch things out as well. So don't like obsessed too much about this part. But I'm going to give you guys like five minutes to get your this part of your study plan in terms of your have like a draft list of the concepts you're trying to that you will learn the facts and the procedures. My tip right now is if you have no idea about what's supposed to go on there after you use the prompt, like this prompt in order to generate some of the study plan, one version of the study plan, just check on Reddit to like whatever it is that you're trying to learn and then check to see like what people say is important to learn. And then combine that with whatever like, you know, do something like whatever it is they say and then put it on chat GPT here as well. 40:20I know for a fact that this is a huge asset book. Art of storytelling, nerd writer, watch analysis videos on storytelling, total time 40-50 hours authenticity on camera. Primary learning resources, timersmith 3-5, record data, logs and seek feedback. I actually really like this one. I love spot content strategy, supplementary resources, vidIQ for practical applications, editing concepts including pacing, Adobe Pimera, Desserts Fair, supplementary YouTube tutorials, I just an Odisha and Peter McKinnon. I'm also a sample of this focusing on pacing, thumbnail and title creation.

41:22It sounds a bit click-bady but it could be good. I will check that out. I'm also a little tip from all trail learning as well. There's this principle of directness and principle of drill. The principle of directness means that in order to get good at something you want to practice it as much as you want to make YouTube videos. If you want to get coding you should make apps and applications. Here is the first principle is directness and the second one is drill.

42:22So drill is basically like say you're making YouTube video and it's got awful and you're like oh shit, I should make it better. Then you identify what are the components of making a YouTube video that you should make better. Maybe it's because your thumbnail sucks. Here's some other example depending on whatever it is that you're trying to do. For instance for my example I think I'm pretty good at making YouTube videos as the video itself but what I'm definitely my weakness is on thumbnails and aesthetics. I know for a fact that's the case. It's totally okay right now if you have no idea the thing that you're currently trying to learn that you don't know. What the directness and the drilling is going to be because you actually have to do it at least one time first in order to do that. After like figuring out a draft of your study plan I really recommend going through and actually performing the thing that you're trying to do to figure out what are the components that you need in order to drill deeper into.

43:24So yeah why did I talk about that because when you're doing this I think this is actually really good chat to beauty is already doing it doing it really well because it actually implements the directness and the drilling into the study plan already. But it wouldn't hurt in order to add to ask it specifically to implement those two principles as well. So for example at a sample video focusing on pacing so this is already like the directness is already there. And also the drilling is also there as well like for example blah blah blah you know create a test thumbnails and titles like this is already implementing the principles of directness and drilling. But generally speaking just keep that in mind if you're a study plan you can try adding on to it yourself. I see where you can supplement more directness and more drilling and example of I say that is not very good study plan that doesn't implement these principles would be.

44:28Let's see yes here it's saying that I should learn you know maybe do this course but practicing is recording daily vlogs and seeking feedback right. So this is this actually would be great but like say if I wanted to learn this in a way that wasn't direct and wasn't good at drilling it would be something like read like do courses I do like three courses on how to be on that authentic on camera take like a course take like a focus I spent a lot of money focusing on learning how to do it. And learning how to be authentic on camera. For people who are learning languages like I think dual angles like really fun and things like that but if you want to be really good at speaking and things like that dual angle is not the most direct approach for you to learn a language like it would be a much better if you took an approach like for all it is called you guys know there's like a lot of these platforms where you can find a mentor like find someone who's trying to learn the language like other language that you're trying to learn and you get matched together. One person is native in a language and other person is native and other so neither of you like you guys kind of like help each other out speaking in one language or another.

45:35I don't remember what it's called but like for example that would be a much better direct approach to learning a language as opposed to like doing dual angle or something like that. For your coding instead of watching people do tutorials of coding you should do something like make your own project yourself that's a lot more direct and then maybe you realize that you're not very good at structuring your code so that's something that you should drill and focus on drilling into how do you get better as structuring your code and chat. LGBT is also really good for this part because you can actually ask you to come up with drills for you in terms of like how it is that you can drill like certain things like does that make sense I want to before I move on. I hope that wasn't too confusing to you. You should also have llama 3.1 and claw 3.5 unless you have an exclusivity deal with open air that's unbuttoned to us I do not just the disclosures I do not have an exclusivity deal with anything like open air I actually don't have exclusivity deals with anything at all.

46:41All sponsors and anything like that I always disclose of them so I do not but I already did test llama 3.1 though thank you or can you respond to channel I already tested clawed and llama if you check out the past like live streams. 47:42It's a lot of hours sex to 10 weeks dedicating around 20 to 25 hours per week so I would say something like. I don't. Can you simplify this down to two months. Actually I'm just saying can you simplify this down to. I just say two months I can do that. I can do Tuesdays. Okay I can do like Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Fridays to study for three hours. Or I would say like yeah three to four hours for the other days I can do.

48:50It's like two hours except for Thursdays and Saturday for sorry for Mondays and Thursdays. I want to keep Sunday. All right now we're getting to it. So I would say I want to start with on camera presence and thumbnail sash title creation. I think it's also doing really well and there's this concept about interleaving so it's good to have multiple things that you're learning right now as like you're learning multiple things as opposed to just learning like one thing there's research that shows that working on.

49:50Separate things that you're learning at the same time actually is better than just focusing on a single thing all the time but I want to start with camera presence and thumbnail sash title creation. This looks pretty good to me. Okay so I'm going to start with this one. Can you write the entire study plan again? I've never actually done this Skillshare course before charisma on command. I do know this person.

50:54This is a good this is actually a very good in my case I think I'll just make the video and then I can see like people's responses to it.
