On March 24, Oscar winner Lupita Nyongo has opened up further about her personal fight

with Uterine fibroids.

The 43-year-old actress first shared her diagnosis last summer and got candid in a recent interview

on ABC News Live Prime, released March 23.

Uterine fibroids are non-cancerous growths in or on the uterus that often cause back pain,

frequent urination, or discomfort during sex.

They hit black women hardest, with up to 90% affected by age 50, and twice or three
