Deputies in El Paso County, Texas just arrested a 54-year-old man named Carlos Flores after
discovering a box of abandoned puppies out in the Favon's Desert.
He's facing charges of cruelty to non-lifestock animals and got booked with a $10,000 bond.
It kicked off on March 26th when animal welfare teams rushed to the 600 block of NEG Avenue,
following reports of the helpless pups, left in the harsh terrain.
Many members played a key role, teaming up with detectives to pinpoint Flores as the
guy responsible by April 13th.
Fast forward to April 24th when authorities secured a warrant and took him into custody
at the El Paso County detention facility.
Sheriff Oscar Ugarde made it clear they don't play with animal cruelty, vowing to hold
offenders accountable while partnering with locals to keep.
Every creature's safe.
