On April 1st, a 36-year-old man from Alveston faces serious charges after his cars slammed
into a group of pedestrians in Derby City Center.
Santu Panashan, originally from India, is accused of six counts of grievous bodily harm with
intent, one attempted grievous bodily harm with intent, dangerous driving, and possessing
a bladed article.
He showed up as seven Derbyshire magistrates court this Wednesday, only confirming his
name and address before getting remanded in custody.
The crash left four men and three women, all between 36 and 52 years old, with serious
but non-life threatening injuries.
