Man Charged with Attempted Rape Near Leicester Services

A 59-year-old man faces charges of attempted rape after attacking a woman near Lester
Forest East Services off the M1 Southbound Inn, Lestershire.
The assault happened on Bains Lane, an access road linking the services to Henkley Road
between 6.20pm and 6.40pm on Saturday, April 25th, a woman in her 20s was grabbed from
behind while walking alone.
Police quickly launched an investigation and asked Lori Drivers and others who stopped
at the services that afternoon to share dash cam footage.
They even set up a special online portal to collect tips directly.
By Thursday morning, April 30th, officers charged Tadeusz Podlisinski from Poland with
attempted rape and intentional strangulation.
He set to appear in Lester magistrate's court that same day, as the case moves forward.
