The thing about AI for business, it may not automatically fit the way your business works.
At IBM, we've seen this firsthand.
But by embedding AI across HR, IT, and procurement processes,
we've reduced cost by millions, slash repetitive tasks, and free thousands of hours for strategic work.
Now we're helping companies get smarter by putting AI where it actually pays off.
Deep in the work that moves the business.
Let's create smart to business. IBM.
This director of the Middle East program at defense priorities.
Trump's ceasefire plans are not a ceasefire, right?
These are, you know, Iran gave these counter proposals that are ceasefire proposals.
What needs to happen for hostilities to cease?
The US is trying to negotiate a whole comprehensive package, which most countries don't agree to do in the middle of a war.
Because if they did, it would just incentivize other countries attacking them.
So the US and Iran are just, they're operating on totally different levels here.
And the US side is pretty disconnected from reality.
Rosemaricalanic director of the Middle East program at defense priorities.
The Iranian parliament is said to be working on a draft bill to charge a fee in exchange for providing security,
to ships passing through the state of Hormuz.
That's according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
Senate Republicans have rejected Democrats' latest effort to end a shutdown.
At the Department of Homeland Security, the shutdown has caused havoc in air travel

President Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping will be holding their summit in Beijing
on May 14th and 15th following a delay due to the war with Iran.
Here's Bloomberg's Mario Parker asking White House press secretary Caroline Levitt
about the Iran war timeline.
Just given that the president postponed his original trip to China because of the war,
should we infer that the war will be wound down and concluded by the time of that May 15th, 14th visit?
Again, as I've said, we've always estimated approximately four to six weeks.
So you could do the math on that Mario, but we do look forward.
I know the president looks forward to going to China on May 14th and 15th.
Levitt went on to say that Xi will visit Washington at a date later this year.
JetBlue shares rallied 13 percent today on a reported maybe looking for partners
with a potential sale to a competitor.
That's according to semaphore.
And with more, here's Bloomberg's George Ferguson.
I think the challenge here is that since the pandemic, JetBlue really hasn't performed very well in cash generation.
Part of it's been, you know, that attempted merger with spirit,
but also recently, right, the low end of the flying public,
the basic economy business has been pretty rough.
Fairs have been lower than needed.
I think they get good profitability.
Bloomberg's George Ferguson.
JetBlue shares up 13.5 percent today united down seven tents.

Southwest up by 0.9 percent.
President Trump has appointed industry leaders
to a new presidential technology council that will focus on AI policy
and other science-related issues.
It'll be called the president's council of advisors on science and technology.
Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow says the council is part of Trump's push
to establish American dominance in AI and digital assets.
Everyone believes that America should export its technology
be that hardware or software.
Whether they should or not to China,
that's where there's different opinions.
In our reporting, that's been what's in front of the president.
There are people around him who are from industry
and they want American technology out there.
There are people who are from the world of politics
and they might be more true in their definition of China hawks and think no way.
That will be interesting to see how this council does influence policy.
Bloomberg's Ed Ludlow interviewed on Bloomberg's balance of power.
