In the wake of Virginia Roberts and Alan Dershowitz dropping their dueling lawsuits,
there's a lot of questions that remain.
And people are asking those questions now about other allegations that have been made by Virginia.
Now, when you have a situation such as this,
and then you go back and you say that you could have been mistaken,
it certainly doesn't look good.
And there's no way to sugarcoat that.
And for me, I've always been interested in one thing here on this podcast.
And that's the truth wherever it leads us.
So when you go back and you recant on statements,
such as the one that has been recanted here,
of course, it's going to leave you open to a lot of criticism
and a lot of people asking questions about those other allegations.
And one of those people, obviously, is Prince Andrew.
This is a dude who just settled for close to $20 million.
And then he hears that Virginia Roberts and Alan Dershowitz are dropping their lawsuits against each other.
And she says she missed remembers.
So you got to think Prince Andrew would be a little bit fired up about that.
Unless, of course, his legal team, Brettler and singer and the rest of them had information we didn't.
And I still believe that that's the case as far as the picture goes.
Why else would Brettler and singer even think about settling?
Because they're the kind of lawyers that'll go all the way, right?
We know that. We've established that.
And the fact that they settled is, you know,
pretty telling of what went on here and what sort of evidence was provided to them.
Because without that evidence, obviously, there's no way they would have settled.
But as far as the allegations, oh, there's no doubt that it opened up, you know,
a bunch of questions now about allegations that have been made.
And people are going to latch on to that.
And for me, like I said, I'm only interested in where the truth takes us.
So wherever that leads us is where we're going to go here on the podcast.
With that said, let's dive into this article from the Daily Mail and let's see what's what.
Headline, exclusive.
Now, all allegations should be questioned.
Prince Andrew was labeled a fool for settling sex assault lawsuit with Virginia Roberts
after she admitted to making a mistake in claiming she was forced to have sex with Alan Dershowitz.
This article was authored by Daniel Bates.
Prince Andrew was a fool for settling with Virginia Roberts over her sex assault lawsuit,
sources close to vindicated attorney Alan Dershowitz now claim.
So Dershowitz is doing a victory lap.
Alan Dershowitz has an article out in the New York Post doing a victory lap.
And to tell you the truth, I'd probably do the same thing if I was him.
So on Mr. Remember, something that serious, you know, that's no joke. That's serious business.
When you make, you know, you have you have allegations like these.
They have to be locked in and they have to be on point because you're ruining people's lives.
And that's why for me, I don't really dive into any of those allegations or talk about anyone
who has not been mentioned in court papers or being talked about in these articles.
Because you have to be on point or you're going to destroy people's lives.
And the lawyer familiar with the case tells DailyMail.com that now all of Robert's allegations should be questioned,
including her claims against the Prince and the light of her stunning admission.
Look, I can't disagree with that.
If I was somebody who had been directly pointed at as taking part in this by somebody who goes and recants,
well, do you think that I'm just going to sit there and be like, oh, well, no big deal.
No, I'm going to go out and say, hey, look,
you see that they recanted here? Well, don't you think that maybe they were mistaken about me?
And that opens up a whole another ball of worms talking about, you know, the Maxwell prosecution and the conviction.
So we'll have to see how this all plays out.
But this is just the very beginnings.
And I'll tell you what, it's looking like a bit of a mushroom cloud.
Robert's sensationally admitted on Tuesday that she may have made a mistake in claiming she was forced to have sex with Dershowitz when she was underage.
Robert said Dershowitz was among the high profile men she was loaned out to at Jeffrey Epstein's command.
The veteran lawyer has repeatedly denied her allegation.
How can someone be mistaken about something so serious?
One person close to Dershowitz told DailyMail.com.
Look, that's a, it's a, it's a good question.
Okay, it's a good question.
And I hate being in a position here where I have to agree with old dirty Dershi, but look, what's right is right.
And Virginia came out herself and said she was mistaken here.
The source said they believe the King Charles younger brother must now be wondering why he settled earlier this year, paying Roberts or reported $12 million.
After she conceded, she may have mistaken Dershowitz for someone else.
Well, let's remember that this was paid out before Virginia made this statement.
Was that a calculated move? Who knows.
Robert's credibility was a central issue and Andrew should have gone to trial, the source said.
But sources close to Roberts have fired back, insisting she can't be mistaken about Prince Andrew's identity because he is so famous.
They assert that even as a 17 year old American girl, Roberts must have known he was a British royal.
Far more recognizable than the Harvard lawyer.
Well, there are the corroborating witnesses, there are the photos, and all of the rest of it, that really syncs Prince Andrew and any hope he has here to clinging on to this.
Because we have the actual photos, we have the actual corroborating witnesses. So that really puts Prince Andrew in a different category.
Now, the other people who have had claims made against them without that kind of, you know, backing or photographic evidence, they definitely can say, hey, look at what happened with Dershowitz maybe she was mistaken about me too.
And unlike with Dershowitz, there were photos and corroborating witnesses supporting her allegations against Prince Andrew.
Roberts claimed she was forced to have sex with them three times under orders from the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
On Tuesday, Roberts withdrew her defamation case against Dershowitz, which she filed in 2019.
Roberts, 38, a mother of three now, lives in Australia and goes by her married name of Joffrey.
Admitted that she may have made a mistake by accusing the 84 year old Harvard law professor who worked as an attorney for Epstein.
And look, just because you work as an attorney for somebody, you know, you might be a smarmy son of a bitch, but that doesn't make you a criminal.
And while I'm not the biggest fan of defending people like Jeffrey Epstein, as you all know, everybody's entitled to a lawyer.
So with these allegations against Dershowitz being dropped, he certainly falls a few rungs for me as far as, you know, part of Epstein's operation from actual participant to something else.
And look, we have to be fair and we have to correct the record when the record needs to be corrected, right? Or we're just adding to the nonsense.
And once again, for me, I'm trying to swim through all the Merck and get to the clarity.
She had, in the past, alleged she was forced to have sex with Dershowitz at the late financier, pedophiles, New York mansion, and again on an airplane.
But after dismissing her case, she said in a statement that she was very young at the time.
Robert said it was very, it was a very stressful and traumatic environment and Mr. Dershowitz has from the beginning consistently denied these allegations.
I now recognize I may have made a mistake in identifying Mr. Dershowitz.
Okay, I guess, but it pretty adamant those statements earlier. So there's going to be a lot to reckon with here. And I don't know how this is all going to fall and where it's all going to land.
But it's certainly a bombshell that changes the landscape.
A source close to Dershowitz said that Epstein could have falsely identified the man to Roberts and that it was actually someone else.
But it was inconceivable. He actually took part in the abuse. That's certainly an issue. That's certainly a possibility 100%.
Now, if it wasn't Dershowitz, that Virginia was handed off to who was it?
Because I certainly certainly believe she was abused by Epstein and his friends.
This just throws a whole monkey wrench in it because what it does is it opens up the credibility aspect and other people who might be incredibly accused are now standing on some more defensible ground.
Right? This is more tenable for them. The source said the credibility issue is central here. Andrew is a fool for settling his case.
He's got to be wondering why he did it. And again, my guess is because he was guilty of what he did.
And just because Virginia might misremember Dershowitz doesn't automatically mean, you know, Andrew's off the hook here.
But it does open things up and it gives them something to sink their teeth into. There is no doubt about that. There's no denying that. And there's no sugar coating it.
And you're going to see Golan Maxwell do the same thing. Wait and see.

Hey, I'm Josh Spiegel, host of the podcast Lunatic in the newsroom. If you enjoy journalism that drifts into mild panic, wild overthinking and a guaranteed nervous breakdown, Lunatic in the newsroom is for you.
It's news like you've never heard before. The only newsroom with a panic button. You'll laugh. You'll cry and gasp and horror as the show spirals completely out of control. It's not just news. It's emotionally unstable.
Lunatic in the newsroom. Listen today.
However, even the source in Dershowitz's camp admitted it was hard to mistake who Prince Andrew is given his fame. A source close to Roberts agreed and set her mistake with Dershowitz was in the identification of her abuser.
The source said even Dershowitz has said she could have confused her with somebody else and that's what she's saying.
So very, very possible. Look, this is a traumatic situation for Virginia. No doubt about it.
15, 16, 17 years old and you're in the hands of the monster Jeffrey Epstein and he trades you off to some old ass man, some old windbag of a man.
Crypt keeper looking at mefer. Yeah, easy to make a mistake, but moving forward when things start to break and there's a case to be made. Of course, people are going to use that and they're going to clip onto it and they're going to have some questions.
That'd be a mistake in about the identity of Prince Andrew. You have the photo of them together, you have testimony from a witness about him playing with a puppet at Epstein's home in New York.
A 17 year old girl may not know who Alan Dershowitz is, but she knows who Prince Andrew is and that's really the crux of it for me, with Prince Andrew especially.
This dude was cooked. The second Brettler and singer decided to settle. I don't care about what anyone else has to say, honestly, because those two dudes, those lawyers are the best in the business and if they're settling, there's a reason why they're doing that.
The case was due to go to trial next year and would have been the first time Roberts would have faced questioning in court about any of her claims.
Her allegations were used in the trial of Galen Maxwell for recruiting and trafficking underage girls for Epstein last year, which resulted in a conviction and a 20 year sentence.
So again, that's going to come into play here too. You know that Maxwell's lawyers, they're going to, they're going to sink their teeth into this.
But for Maxwell, unfortunately, there's a whole host of other girls who were abused and that's the thing here that we have to remember. This isn't just one person's case, not just Virginia Roberts case.
There's a whole bunch of women that we don't even know about who were abused and who were mercilessly abused. Those are the women I call the the women of the unknown, right?
The unknown girls and my guess is there are so many of them that it would make our head spin. We only know the few women who have come forward bravely to bring their story out to the public.
But besides that, how many women are still suffering in the shadows that were abused by these people?
In a statement as the case was dismissed, Dershowitz said he was gratified. It had ended. He said, as I have stated from the beginning, I have never had sex with Ms. Roberts.
I nevertheless come to believe that at the time she accused me, she believed what she said. So he's not calling her a liar here. He's saying that she believed it. It was just a case of mistaken identity.
Ms. Roberts is to be commended for her courage and now stating publicly that she may have been mistaken about me.
She has suffered much at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and I commend her work in batting the evils of sex trafficking.
Roberts claims against Andrew forced him to retreat from public, public life due to public outcry and the disastrous TV interview in which he defended his friendship with Epstein, who hanged himself allegedly in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking crimes.
Andrew was stripped of his military titles and his patronages of dozens of charities and reportedly cried when when King Charles told him that there was no way back for him.
A spokeswoman for Andrew declined the comment.
Well, folks, this is quite the ball of yarn to pick through and there's going to be a lot of people who do that.
Now, as far as I'm concerned, Prince Andrew doesn't even have a leg to stand on here. There's so much evidence against him that that ship has sailed a very long time ago.
And even if you get rid of Virginia's allegations, right, say there was never those allegations against Andrew of being part of the actual abuse, just being so close to Epstein and enabling his BS, having a party after he was a convicted sex offender, that's enough there to sink you.
But you add on the other stuff, the stuff that he already settled out of court with. And well, you see that Prince Andrew situation is a little different than some other peoples.
And when there's that much evidence corroborating, especially, well, here you go. You end up paying out $14 million, $13 million, $17 million, whatever it is.
But as far as the allegations against Dershowitz, we have to recognize that those allegations have been dropped and that moving forward, there's going to be some questions about allegations that have been made.
So we'll see where it all ends up and we'll see how it all ends up. But like usual, we're going to continue to follow this shit and try and swim through that dirt and that muck and get to clarity because at the end of the day, the most important thing is the truth.
And wherever that truth leads us, that's where we're going.
All right, folks, that's going to do it for this one. If you'd like to contact me, you can do that at Bobby Capucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O, B-B-Y, C-A-P-U, C-C-I, at ProtonMail.com.

There is an article from December 2nd that has to do with the Victim Child Act in New York City. And it's about Virginia Roberts, who is going to use that Child Victims Act against Alan Dershowitz to go after him.
And with the news being so slow today, I thought we'd add this article to our catalog and give ourselves a little bit more context about this whole entire Virginia Roberts Alan Dershowitz situation.
Because I don't think enough spotlight is put on to Alan Dershowitz by the media. I think everybody's really scared of Alan Dershowitz because he's such a high profile attorney and they're scared that he'll ruin them financially and come after them.
But at the end of the day, you can't be worried about that stuff as a journalist, right? If the evidence leads you somewhere, you have to report it. That's what your people are expecting. That's what your readers are expecting. That's what your listeners are expecting. And that's the right thing to do.
Instead, you have a lot of these journalists who think who go after Andrew Hart is hell, go after everybody else, Hart is hell, but not a guy like Alan Dershowitz. What are you scared of? Why is the crypt keeper scare you?
Alan Dershowitz doesn't inspire any fear in my heart, not one single bit. Sure, he's a great lawyer. There's no doubt about it. And sure, he can litigate you five ways till Sunday.
But that does not mean that he gets off the hook for what he has done. That does not mean he does not get called out for his enabling of Jeffrey Epstein.
That does not mean he does not get called out for his just general disgustingness in the way he's handled this whole entire situation.
The whole defaming of Virginia Roberts, every chance he gets calling her all sorts of disgusting names that, you know, at the end of the day, even if you weren't involved with Jeffrey Epstein, even if you did not do what she said you have done, you should have show a little bit of empathy, show a little respect, a little decorum.
You're this high profile, the Harvard guy, and you're running around. You're you're trashing her in interviews. So bad that the hosts have to stop you in the middle of your trashing of her.
I mean, come on, Dershowitz. Come on, Alan D. Nobody's worried about you. All right. You're just, you're just another one of these guys who is litigate until the wheels come off. And that, that just frightens people. But I really don't care.
You know, I'm just at the end of the day, we're just going on what these articles have to say. And if the, if Alan Dershowitz is wasn't involved with Virginia Roberts, why would she say that? Why would she bring up Alan Dershowitz of all people?
She could have brought up Bill Clinton. She could have named Donald Trump. She could have named so many more high profile people than Alan Dershowitz.
If Dershowitz was not involved, why did Virginia Roberts even bring him up?
Well, it is of my, it is my opinion that Dershowitz definitely was involved. And what Virginia Roberts said he did to her, I believe her.
And it's up to Alan Dershowitz to defend these claims now. He says he has all this evidence. He has receipts and he has all these different records and blah, blah, blah, blah.
But nobody has seen any of that stuff. It's all just his, his fat mouth running again. Just yap, yap, yap, yap, yap, yap. Well, I got to tell you something, Mr. Dershowitz. You're not fooling anybody.
We know you receive those massages, but it's okay though, right? Because you didn't take off your underwear. You're just a six, six, six, six circle of people, folks. Just a very sick circle of people.
All right. Virginia Roberts attorney Charles Cooper said she would likely take advantage of the new law that allows victims of child sex abuse to sue their alleged abusers.
Roberts has sued Dershowitz for defamation, charging that the noted Harvard law professor smeared her name by calling her a liar and good for her.
It's nice to see Dershowitz got a little bit of his own medicine for once, right? Nobody wants to sue Alan Dershowitz for the most part. They're scared of his litigation ability. Well, Virginia Roberts don't give two shits. She knows she was wrong, she knows she was abused, and this predator is being called out on the carpet. So good for her.
She wasn't a child, Dershowitz said after a hearing in Manhattan federal court, adding that she has testified she wasn't underage when Epstein began trafficking her for sex.
She changes her facts to fit the law, Dershowitz says. She has a long record of lying about prominent people.
Man, see this is what I mean about Robert. I mean about Dershowitz, and this is why I'm glad she sued him for defamation. Every single time you turn around, this man is dragging her name through the mud.
Roberts attorney did not specify when they would file the Child Victims Act claims in an amended lawsuit. Her legal team plans to dig into Dershowitz's representation of Epstein around the time he negotiated a sweetheart plea deal in 2008.
Under the agreement Epstein avoided serious jail time for his alleged international sex trafficking scheme and remained welcome in high society, especially in New York.
They sure love to have him around in New York. They welcomed him with open arms. We read it in that other article.
The people obviously they didn't go on record the other high crust members of society. They didn't they don't care that Jeffrey Epstein was trafficking young girls. They do not care one single bit.
Oh, they'll make pretend that they're woke. They'll make pretend that they care. But if they really did folks, if they really did, would they still be accepting of Jeffrey Epstein, would they still have them at their parties, would they still want to be around him?
You can say whatever you want, but it's your actions that dictate who you truly are. And their actions, well, their actions dictate that they did not care one single Iota that they were giving credibility to this sex offender.
If Mr. Dershowitz was involved with Mr. Epstein and his in the activities alleged, his motivations to negotiate the plea deal that has become so controversial will be relevant Cooper said, and I've said that as well.
I said, how is this not a conflict of interest? I mean, Dershowitz is wrapped up in this deep and all of a sudden he's in charge of the legal team that's building a non prosecution plea for numerous people himself included.
How is that even right? How is that fair? Our justice system is so decimated at this point. There are so many ways for guys like Dershowitz to skirt around the edges and then get to where he wants to go without any care of collateral damage because the means always justifies the ends with these sick sick people.
Dershowitz, meanwhile, will dig into legal tactics used by of Robert's famous attorney David Boyz. Dershowitz legal team claimed that a recent New York Times article on a mystery man claiming to have access to surveillance footage from Epstein's many mansions backed up the law professors claim he is the victim of a conspiracy orchestrated by boys.
And like I said when we read that article at first I said do not fall for this nonsense do not fall for it and what do you know the next day Dershowitz was using that as an alibi as an excuse as a defense and I said it I said that there's something funny about this and I would not be surprised if Dershowitz was the one who initiated that guy to be involved in all of this who put him up to it I wouldn't be surprised one bit do I have any evidence of that no but we know that Dershowitz and his team.
He hired private investigators to dig through the trash of the police that were investigating Jeffrey Epstein so they were conducting an investigation on the investigators when they first went after Jeffrey Epstein think about that for a minute folks and think about how disturbing that is.
Judge Loretta Preska booted boys from the defamation case in October ruling that he can no longer serve as Robert's attorney because he would be a key witness at trial so that's when she brought on Chuck Cooper and I think that it was a bad move by Loretta Preska I am not a fan of her judicial style if you go back and read some of her other cases she is not very I don't she just want she seems to be one of these judges that just does not get it she just does not get it.
And Virginia Roberts to deal with what she has had to deal with the full on assault by people like Alan Dershowitz on a regular basis does it get more brave than this young lady I mean honestly all kidding aside she knew that she was going to face scrutiny scorn all sorts of defamation libel slander and she stood up and she said no more.
She stood up and she said I will no longer be silent I will not be your victim any longer and what it does it get it gave a voice to all of these other girls all of these other girls that have come forward all of these Jane does all of these girls that are suing have found their voice because of people like Virginia Roberts and Sarah ransom and all of these other women who step forward when it wasn't easy when this wasn't a popular thing to do when they were doing it with great great risk to them.
They're all themselves in their own well being we all know that the land Maxwell threatened these girls we all know that she was a very very intimidating woman with her power and the people she knew and the way that she she carried herself we all know that.
And we all know that Alan Dershowitz is a lot more involved in this case than he is letting on folks he wasn't just an innocent bystander he was on the plane he was on the island he was at the
residences so let's let's let's get real okay let's get real about Alan Dershowitz and let's start looking at Alan Dershowitz just like Bill Clinton needs to be looked at let's take a look at all of these guys and if they're innocent don't you think they'd
want to talk to prosecution don't you think they would come forward and talk to the attorneys for these girls don't you think they would want to clear their name what
are they so scared of your boys dead your boy Jeffrey Epstein's dead spill the beans but they can't because they were caught up in the black male scheme
because there's evidence that they were involved in this whole entire black male scheme so they can't come forward they're caught.

The public is not letting go of this case Alan Dershowitz you're not going to get off this time you're not going to be able to litigate yourself out of it.
You're going to have to stand tall you're going to have to answer questions and at the end of the day we will see who is telling the truth and who is the liar.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Alan Dershowitz is not going to like the results of that.
All right folks if you like to contact me you can do that at Bobby Capucci at proton mail dot com that's B O B B Y C A P U C C I at proton mail dot com.
So let's jump into this article from above the law and try and set out just exactly what the hell Mr. Naked volleyball in Martha's Vineyard is up to now.
Alan Dershowitz is absolutely positively not an intellectual who had lost his mind.
This piece is authored by Elizabeth Die.
Alan Dershowitz is suing CNN for $300 million because the network defamatorily failed to quote a full paragraph of his arggal burgling about Donald Trump's impeachment giving viewers the entirely false impression that the famed lawyer has.
Lost his mind. Yes, for real.
So I mean I don't even understand how this could even see it's any time in court right or in front of a judge or anything.
This should just be thrown out right away. This is why the legal system is such a joke in this country.
You're really going to sue CNN of all places. That's like saying you were defamed by Alex Jones at this point.
Who cares? But yet Alan I kept my underpants on Dershowitz.
Well, he has to challenge it and he has to sue CNN because he doesn't have enough problems as it is.
Were you under the impression that Dershowitz might have ruined his own reputation by going on Laura Ingram's show to shout about his perfect, perfect sex life in a bizarre attempt to slag his arch nemesis, David Boyz after accusing Boyz Schiller.
And you know, it's funny that he tried to claim that boys and Schiller were running a Rico operation at their law firm considering the people he's associated with.
And the Rico case that never was because of his doings behind the scenes, pretty ironic that he'd bring up Rico, huh?
He seems to bring up a lot of things in this case, the Jeffrey Epstein case, that automatically boomerang back to him and his cohorts, projection much, Mr. Underpants.
Or maybe your esteem started flagging at the quixotic attempt to quiet doubters by proving that he never, not ever, had sex with underage girls when he was hanging out with Jeffrey Epstein.
An effort Dersh has bolstered by protracted litigation and public efforts to zaprooter the flight logs to show that he only went to Epstein's sex island in the company of his wife.
Most people might deny it and then shut the hell up.
Oh, but not Professor Dershowitz, and it's true. He's pay parrots about it all the time, sends off tweets that aren't even needed.
Nobody asked him, nobody wanted his opinion on anything, but here he is sitting around in his tidy whiteies waiting for the next naked volleyball game to crack off, sending out tweets in an unhinged manner.
And he's worried about CNN's portrayal of him, my dude, you're doing a fantastic job on your own of all of us looking at you and thinking the same.
The doc brown hair, the unhinged attitude, what do you think we're going to say, sir?
Perhaps if the retired Harvard professor hadn't sued Epstein's alleged survivor while simultaneously thrusting himself into the middle of the impeachment hearings, reporters wouldn't have bothered to dig up his insistence on playing pornography in the common areas at Harvard for the first amendment, obviously, and his 1970s musings on lowering the age of consent.
Well, you know, it's true. I mean, why would anyone pay attention to Alan Dershowitz, unless he's inserting himself into these issues, and once you insert yourself into the issue, especially when the allegations that you have hanging over your head are so disgusting and so gross?
Well, what do you think's going to happen, Mr. Underpants on? Of course, people are going to look into what you have to say, people are going to look into your past works, people are going to try and put the pieces together.
That's why somebody like Alan Dershowitz, who's been a public figure for decades upon decades at this point, to come out and try and sandbag CNN because of their so-called portrayal of him is laughable at best.
And if any judge in the country deems it worthwhile to see this case and hear it, that judge is also a joke.
I'm pretty sure we have more pressing needs in the justice system than Mr. Dershowitz is nonsense.
My Americans have decided the famed constitutional scholar had lost a step when he took the airways to assure Americans that he only got one massage at Jeffrey Epstein's house from an old Russian woman, and he kept his underwear on the whole time.
Or when he threatened to sue CBS because a fictional character made a joke about it, and this is the ongoing Underpants talk, right? That's why I call him and I kept my Underpants on Dershowitz.
This dude is an absolute character.
So you kept your Underpants on and it was an old Russian woman. Do we know if this old Russian woman was trafficked as this old Russian woman ever come forward to be talked to, the lady who gave him the massage as anybody reached out to her tried to find out who she is?
I'm sure if you press Guilain Maxwell hard enough, she knows. So why don't we get to the bottom of it? Let's get to the bottom of it, Mr. Dershowitz.
Who is this old Russian woman? Why are you getting a massage at your homeboy's house and why are you keeping your Underpants on and telling us about it?
As if that is some kind of be all end all proving that you did nothing wrong. Well, I kept my jaws on. What if you're into other weird shit, bro?
It's laughable that this dude really thinks that people are going to look at his behavior and not question what nonsense he is up to.
No, obviously the damage occurred in January of 2020 when CNN failed to quote the entirety of Alan Dershowitz's speech on the house floor saying that it was fine for the president to wield the apparatus of the American government to aid his own electoral prospects.
See, Dersh said the only thing that would make a quid pro quo unlawful is if the quo were somehow illegal.
Now we talk about motive. There are three possible motives that a political figure could have. One, a motive in the public interest and the Israel argument would be in the public interest.
The second is in his own political interest and the third, which hasn't been mentioned, would be his own financial interest, his own pure financial interest just putting money in the bank.
I want to focus on the second one for just one moment. Every public official that I know believes that his election is in the public interest and, mostly, you are right, your election is in the public interest.
And if a president does something which he believes will help him get elected in the public interest, that cannot be the kind of quid pro quo that results in impeachment.
I mean, all over that comment is why he's suing because he says it was taken out of context. And I get it, right? I understand if you're taken out of context or whatever you want to set the record straight and Dershowitz has plenty of avenues to do that.
But for him to want to sue CNN over this, it's just it's mind boggling to me that he would continue to insert himself in the middle of the spotlight and then cry when he's getting blasted and eviscerated.
And while he admits that CNN's wolf blitzer played the whole clip, other CNN commentators just talked about the last couple of sentences, leaving viewers with a possibly mistaken impression that Professor Dershowitz was endorsing a theory that presidents could commit crimes with impunity if they believe the result to be in the public interest.
Leave aside that the government accountability office found that withholding congressionally allocated funds from Ukraine was, in fact, illegal.
Well, that's here neither here nor there. We could debate about the merits of Ukraine until we're blue in the face. I'm sure everybody has some strong opinions about that.
The very notion of that was preposterous and foolish on its face, and that was the point to falsely paint Professor Dershowitz as a constitutional scholar and intellectual who had lost his mind.
With that branding, Professor Dershowitz's sound and notorious arguments would then be drowned under a sea of repeated lies. Who cares?
His arguments aren't for the public to judge anyway. His arguments weren't for CNN to judge anyway. It was for the senators who were hearing the case, for hearing who were hearing the impeachment. So all of this is such bullshit.
And they did it on purpose to punish him for supporting President Trump. However, Professor Dershowitz appears to have made one mistake.
He chose to defend the President of the United States and defend the U.S. Constitution at a moment in time where CNN has decided that doing so is not permitted for this CNN set out to punish him and destroy his credibility and reputation and unfortunately succeeded.
That sounds so sinister as if CNN has that power at this point. I know people that are even ardent hardcore leftists who laugh at CNN at this point. They understand the corporate media is all a joke.
CNN Fox all the same shit everybody knows it. So for this guy to act like CNN has ruined his credibility after he made a fool of himself on his own.
I mean, come on.

There's a lot CNN can be blamed for, but ruining Alan Dershowitz's career, dead not on the list.
Characterizing the refusal to air the whole quote as part of a deliberate scheme to defraud its own audience at the expense of another's reputation, the first amendment warrior accuses the network of intentionally misleading its viewers and hiding the truth from their eyes and ears. That's such bullshit.
I can't believe I'm forced to defend CNN, but here we are. This is such absolute bullshit. They weren't misleading anybody.
All right, CNN is an opinion based station. Everybody knows that. It's not hard news. All of those shows are opinion based.
So leading their viewers, they don't have to lead their viewers anywhere, folks. Their viewers seek that out. Their viewers want that confirmation bias.
Just like the viewers of Fox want their bias confirmed.
Touting himself as one of the most revered and celebrated legal minds of the past century. Oh, and so modest. Dershowitz points to a news cycle where people quit mocking Dershowitz for yammering about his panties for a couple of hours and instead mocked him for his defense of the president's conduct.
And for his pains, his great legal mind demands 50 million in compensatory damages and 250 million in punitive damages. I mean, really, this is such a joke right now.
Meanwhile, the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal enterprise that you helped facilitate with your legal advice, that you helped get off the hook with your legal advice, that you allegedly took part in,
but still can't get one damn dime from your buddy's indykin con. I hope you feel good about yourself with your $250 million punitive damage ask and your $50 million in compensatory damage ask. I hope you feel real good, Mr. Dershowitz. You scoundrel.
Hey, quit laughing. It's not an anonymous end to a glorious legal career. Dersh is on top of his game ready to take on the world.
And I like the scorching tone of this article very much. Elizabeth die. I can get down with a bit of that kind of evisceration of a scoundrel.
Oh, I gal in Dershowitz. And he deserves it. This guy continuously inserts himself into the public eye and to the public sphere. And when somebody questions him or goes after him, he says he's gonna sue. Well, nobody cares, Mr. Dershowitz.
Alright, I think your tidy whiteies might be on a bit too tight. I think you might be a little agitated because you're no longer a welcome at the naked volleyball game. And it is rather obvious to anybody paying attention that you are not, sir, on the top of your game.
