Mel Kiper Mocks Miller to 49ers

ESPN analyst Mel Kuiper recently projected Clemson right tackle Blake Miller to go 27th overall to the San Francisco 49ers in his latest mock draft. The 49ers had a solid 12-5 regular season, finishing third in the tough NFC West despite dealing with a ton of injuries. Their playoff run ended in a ref 41-6 divisional loss to the Seattle Seahawks who went on to win the Super Bowl. Still, San Francisco ranked 4th in fewest sacks allowed and second in time to throw thanks largely to star left tackle trend Williams. Williams is widely seen as the best tackle in the league, but he's already 37 years old. The team knows they need to build a new wave of past protectors to stay competitive long-term. Kuiper doesn't view Miller as a direct replacement for Williams on the left side since Miller played 97% of his college snapshot. Right tackle, instead, he could upgrade over current right tackle Colton McIvitz right away. This fits the 49ers
