Why we allow chametz to be offered on the mizbeach
Today's office must say that, as we know, there's a general prohibition not to bring
chameats as part of the offerings, the Torres States and Parches Vierca, Kalamin Khashir
Takrivel Nashem, Lothasa Khameats, Kikolse, Orvachod, Vashod, Takturi, Menu, Shailashem,
and I was supposed to bring any of these things up onto the Misbeach, including chameats,
Koban Rashid Takrivel, Otam Hashem, or Misbeach, Loya, Lula, Reach, Nechach.
So we see the exception to the prohibition to bring chameats on Misbeach, is this what we
call Korban Rashid. So, Rashid here learns that this is a reference to the two halachem,
the two breads, brought on the holiday of Shavuot, offered from chameats. However, there's
another chameats offering, that is the Korban Toda, the Thanksgiving offering. It's a form
of shlamim offering, but on top of the shlamim, we bring bread, we bring lechem, as we
learn in Parches Saviim Al Toda, Yakrivenu, Vihikrivel, Zeva, Khatodach, Halot, Matsot, Bilulot,
Pasham, Rukikim, Matsot, Mishachim, Misham, Misham, Misham, Misham, Misham, Misham, Misham,
Al-Holot, Lachem, Chameats, I can't believe it. So, it's explicitly that we're going to
bring bread that is chameats. We have this link between the Korban Toda, the Thanksgiving
offering, and the Shtaih, Lachem, the two breads brought on Shavuot, that both are chameats
bred offered together with a shlamim. Of aviu chwarts, points out how the gammara is constantly
comparing the two. Today's stuff, we have the gammara discussing the Shrita's kivtseh
Zeret, Shalolishman, the slaughtering of the goats of Shavuot that are not slaughtered
for their intended purpose, also in the context of the Shrita Toda Shalolishman, when the Toda
is being slaughtered, the offering that's brought with the Toda is not Lishman.
On Memchest, tomorrow's death, the Gomerr discusses the case of one who brings four Chalaz
instead of two and brings a proof in the case of one who slaughtered the Toda on 80 breads
instead of 40. So we see these two interlinking and we had a discussion yesterday's death as well
and there are a number of other places. What is the essence behind these unique offerings
of Chhamates? The Rambandapartus Emor first explains why we generally do not bring Chhamates
in the Mithbech, or Bavursha, Korbanot, La Ratson Hashem, since the offerings are to be an
appeasement Hashem, to have a Ratson, a Vashem, and Ichbad Shalo Yuvu, Minad Vareem, Sharlahem,
Yarechazakalashanotativim. We don't want to bring something that's changing nature too much.
We want to keep things in their natural state, putting yeast and dough, causing it to rise to a
natural levels and blow up and become a big dough. That's an offering that we're not trying.
We're trying to avoid an offering that is La Ratson. The Ratson Hashem should be as natural as
possible. Why then do we have Chhamates on Shavua? Why do we indeed allow the Chhamates to enter into
the vicinity and be offered as an offering? Here, the Ramban ties the two breads of Shavua with the
Korbanot. That Siva Haqasushityana Chhamates, the Torah commands us that it should be Chhamates.
It's a thing to him, Toda, La Shem, because it's a thanksgiving, Kichoukot Kitsir, Shamarlan,
who, the Korbanot Toda, Yavua, La Chham, Chhamates. It explains the Ramban, the Shnaia, La Chham,
symbolize the Yuvu, symbolize the Shefa Yuvu, the fact that the agriculture was successful,
and we want to thank Hashem. For giving us this bounty for allowing the crop to grow beautifully,
we offer a Korban Toda. Vihine Bechaga Shavuos explains the Ramban, Shavuos Shoyama Tantora,
Yaviha Korban Bidin Toda. On Shavuot, we bring the Korban, the Shtehalacham, as a way of saying thank
you to Hashem. Kihu Yom Ha'atzar, the Zae, Sod says the Rambanot is something very deep and secret.
Going on over here, something mystical, Masha'am Rura Bhatainu, Kola Korbanot,
Bittali, and the Korban Toda in a Batelo Alam. All the Korbanan in the future are going to be
nullified, are going to be canceled. The only one that will be left is the thanksgiving offering
that will never be canceled. What is going on here? Something very deep being conveyed by the Ramban,
teaching us something very important about what we're learning on today's stuff. Perhaps connected
to the idea that Chhamates, in the world of khasidut, represents Gaa'ava, represents
Hardiness, represents ego, and on Pesach, in particular, we implement and we emphasize Masha'a.
Not our actions, but Hashem. We emphasize Masha'a Adam. We emphasize our input on the Chagomat
and Tara, however we go from that journey. From the Masha'a to the Chhamates, we bring the Tara
into our material world of eating, of drinking, of living, of going to work. We should elevate all
those physical aspects, not out of Gaa'ava, but out of Ratan Hashem. That's the marriage that we
aim and strive for in the future. The fixed world, which combines Chhamates and Masha'a,
brings together our actions with Shrinat Hashem, with the presence of Hashem, to turn each
and every day into a day of Matan, Tara.
