Mets' Benge Shines, Holmes Impresses in Spring Training

over the Nationals in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Outfielder Carson Benjay stood out, going one for four with an RBI single while pushing

for the starting right field spot.

Benjay has posted a strong point 8-5-8 on base, plus slugging this spring, showing he can

handle majorly pitching early on.

Meanwhile, lefty reliever Brian Hudson had a rough outing against the Nationals, giving

up two earned runs on two hits and a walk in just two thirds, of an inning as he fights

for a bullpen roll.

Over in Port St. Louis, pitcher Clay Holmes delivered a solid relief stint against the

Marlins, racking up eight groundouts across five innings two.
